And give people a reason to show some faith in the devs? Doesn't sound like the Bhvr that I know.
-
Nice, another casual who thinks that someone other than Bhvr is ruining the game *sigh*
-
Absolutely pathetic. What a disgrace.

Yeah loads of things are causing freezes in my survivor experience...
Gens popping, gens being damaged, survivors getting hooked and unhooked, getting hit with sloppy...
Also i decided to run dead hard one match, that was a mistake, never again until the freezes are fixed.
I hear ya. I mostly have to rely on my instincts now because the killer basically doesn't have a swing animation anymore due to the freezing everytime he swings.

This is what I keep saying it's not just a nemmy issue exclusively it's an all killer issue I have got frame drops when I played pig lol
It seems like they fixed the survivor side from what I saw of the matches I played of things but playing killer is a different story , did you do the software update bm33?
Survivor is working for you? Wow, that's lucky. I cant count how many gens i've blown tonight due to the killer using their power/attacking while im doin a skillcheck.
-
Every killer still feels like a one shot killer because i lag into a wall every time I take a hit, but I can deal with that. It was Ace's hair appearing offset when he started repairing a generator that was ruining the experience for me. So glad they fixed that.
-
Any idiot can see why that system won't work, so expect bhvr to go through with it.

Hopefully, they'll change it soon.
If not, I'm thinking about talking to a gaming news website to see if they are interested in how DBD is borderline unplayable on Console and how BHVR refuses to acknowledge the issue, much less fix it.
That might not be a bad idea. Just think about how Polygon got Red Dead Redemption 2 fixed.
-
@Riif0 said:
Darling they said they fixed it in the previous patch so why you keep defending them?
Some people just get off on defending large companies that treat their customers like trash.
-
It's disgusting that a core mechanic can be left in a broken state for this amount of time. Imagine if in a game like overwatch it turned out soldier:76 could continually fire without reloading due to a bug (made up example btw) and the devs just said "ah well, we'll get to it when we get to it. In the meantime, go finish those challenges!" BHVR is awful.
-
If i'm doing one of those idiotic terror radius challenges and get a myers or ghostface.... insta DC. Come to think of it.... any time I'm doin one of those challenges that require your opponent(s) to play a certain way and they don't do it.... goneski.

@Clopotel said:
In the patch notes it says that the *if the killer lunges through a pallet he does not get stunned* bug got fixed... well surprise! I had a match today against a spirit and that happened 2 in a row... pallet down, got hit, no stun. Noice
Even without a lunge the pallet won't stun a lot of the time. Don't hold your breath either. We won't be getting a fix probably til midchapter considering how lazy they are and how little incentive they have to actually fix things.
-
No player is ruining the game. It's the dev team, bhvr corporate higher ups, and their investors. Anyone who thinks it's a problem with any section of the playerbase is crazy.
-
Hey! That's not funny! If the devs see this then it's gonna show up in the next tome!
-
I'm amazed at the number of dev apologists you've drawn out of the gutter with this post... good stuff.
-
Yeah, for sure. For the type of player who frequently finds themself saying "I feel I need to handicap myself" this is a fantastic chapter.
-
I really wish the devs would quit encouraging people to throw games.
-
Many, many weeks before they should.
-
In short, the community is too young to realize they're being obnoxious when they constantly spam about FNAF anywhere they can. Seriously, stfu about it. No one cares if you think it's actually "mature content" and will never be convinced that it is.

Children are under the age of 13 so 12 and under they said 18 in a few months making them a teenager[17 in america] and in my country 16 is considered adult how in america its 18. Just depends on where they live
But they're still immature kids at the end of the day. 18 is barely any life experience at all.
-
The question we should be asking about this next chapter is "when is the fix coming?"
-
They're teasing the next batch of game breaking bugs.

Its not a kids game, you clearly don't know anything about the lore, the community makes it seem like a kids game, id like to see a 10-12 yr old play FNAF 4 and not have nightmares or anxiety, "its impossible!"
If you still think its a kids game watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrOf16MsWJk - The person doing the vid takes the piss a bit, but what he is saying is actually disturbing !
Sure, kid. Whatever you say.
-
I'd agree with op if I hadn't already learned how to counter a 360 roughly 3 years ago.
-
Sorry. The tome challenges ruin the experience for me so I can't really further diminish my experience for someone else doing challenges. Maybe if the devs were a little less obnoxious with their "in a single trial" challenges then I might feel a little friendlier but I doubt that'll happen.
-
Gotta understand that a lot of veteran players have nothing but frustration after watching the devs ruin their experience bit by bit over a LONG stretch of time. Trashing the devs is all they have left.

I think the issue is that people wanted to see Moris have a use outside of "Look at my character put things in your character". They wanted Moris to have a place in a strategy. They wanted Moris to give an edge like some other offerings do (think fog density and what have you). Before, Moris were broken and gave the Killer the macth, along with SICK AND STYLISH animations. Now, they give the ladder, but no other real benefit. Sure, they could be useful, but the scenarios where a Mori would be more strategically sound compared to a hook is going to be very rare (mostly deadzones with no hooks).
Personally, I never use Moris unless its for a daily. I don't mind the nerf one bit. That said, I can see why some people would be upset with Moris no longer giving ANY kind of real strategic advantage. Sure, the previous one was OP as balls, but the current version has no real strategic value at all. Maybe if the animation revealed auras for 5 seconds, or caused global skill checks on gens or something. Anything to give it some kind of value other than an animation.
Also, we don't know what will happen to Keys. If they lose their strategic value entirely as well, then it won't be so bad. Maybe both will be flourishes more than strategic offerings. Who knows?
That actually makes sense. Survivors would be horrified at seein their fellow survivor get split in half by a chainsaw or something so maybe they'd scream like infectious fright.

Most Freddy mains will stay in low ranks... because most green/red survivors actually know how to counter him and don't cry about him as often, if ever.
Oni seems like easy mode to me, especially with a few of his add-ons in play. Billy is hold button for instant down, unless you're trying to meme and cross map people, there is very little nuance to Billy's kit and he is rewarded for minimal effort.
Spotted the freddy main... If you're actually saying hitting an m1 is harder than hitting a demon strike or chainsaw then I can't take you seriously.

Also no. Read this again, but more carefully:
I've criticized the devs before and will do so again, but I also hate it when people misrepresent what they say.
Actually, yes. You used different wording but you basically told the OP that it's up to the devs if they want to make an enjoyable product. That is one of the most common apologist troll arguments and also about as informative as saying "bhvr makes this game."

Depends on how you define "apologist". I've criticized the devs before and will do so again, but I also hate it when people misrepresent what they say. Your argument falls apart if your starting point isn't even real.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1793763#Comment_1793763
- Ethan mentioned them during the stream, I'm not going to repeat them. Also, there's no need to "yell". Calm down a bit.
- I am not saying you're not allowed to complain, I'm saying you're being unreasonable by demanding that they implement this or that just because you think it's the right course of action. To make such demands, you'd have to be their boss.
- I say what I mean and mean what I say. If I say I'm here because I want to be, then that's it. You could then question why I want to be here, but I feel no need to justify my presence here to you or anyone else. On a related note, I've been accused of wanting to be a mod (not true, I don't have the patience for it), or a dev (also not true, I want to do research in physics), or a paid shill (if only, then I could afford an upgrade for my PC), and more. The fact is, there is no ulterior motive to my actions, which really seems to get under certain people's skin.
- Why do you think it's sad to admit when you screw up?
Okay, you're not an apologist. You're just one of those people who likes to tell people "they don't have to make a good game or listen to consumer opinions if they don't want to" when frustrations with the game are at a fever pitch.

The devs do play their own game and some even stream it. They all seem to really care for DbD, and want the best for the game. Which is why I don’t think it’s the devs fault for chapters being released earlier than they should’ve.
Yeah it's the sociopathic executives tryin their best to enforce their zero tolerance policy for customer satisfaction a la take-two interactive.
-
The simple answer would be that they can't churn out 4 new killer powers a year if they made killers fun. Expect to see more killers with powers centered around camping, tunneling, and slugging in the future.
-
I got no problem with a freddy nerf. He gets good value with minimal skill requirement. I'd bet a good percentage of freddy mains would get crushed if they used a skill oriented killer like oni or hillbilly.
-
Not a fan of playing against him. Have yet to play "verse" him.
-
The actual dev team used to be kinda proud. However, I doubt they care anymore due to the higher ups decree that content must be released every three months whether it's working or not. When the people who run the company could care less about their consumers then why would the dev team care about anything. Just payin the bills at this point.
-
If they are still an indie company then they're at least making good progress on becoming as shamelessly horrible to their community as take-two interactive.

There was a lot of oversight in this killer, so much so that I'm wondering if there was even any internal testing before release.
No time for testing. They got a new dlc comin up in a few months lol.

I am not sure if the devs have said anything regarding survivor queue times lately. They are insanely long most of the time either with or without crossplay and it doesn't really matter what time of day it is. It is so consistently long.
It is painfully annoying to sit there in a lobby for 5 + minutes each time and I am pretty sure it has been like this for months.
Survivor queue times are long right now because the devs keep putting challenges like "play against a killer with a standard 32m terror radius and avoid playing the game properly long enough to use diversion twice in a single match." Killer challenges are all super easy in comparison. I can do 10 killer challenges in the time it takes me to do a challenge like "force the killer to throw the match and 1v1 you so you can pallet stun him three times in a single game." If ppl could get their challenges done without depending on the killer to play a certain way or without having to play selfish and screw their teammates then maybe they might switch back to playing killer. Hell, i'd be on killer right now if I wasn't busy sandbaggin my teammates in an attempt to do the challenges.
-
Sorry to say but your complaint is most likely falling on deaf ears. People have been complaining about the "troll your teammates til you get X action done Y times in a single match" challenges since the first tome and they've put them in every tome since. I'd consider that a hard stance on the topic. We're just not meant to enjoy the game outside of a 4man swf while there is an active rift.
-
Hard to get excited about another killer who's strength is their slug game.
-
I'd either get rid of crossplay or I'd get rid of those "screw your teammates over until you can complete X action twice in one trial" challenges.

For me, it was BBQ Summer event. Even though it only had 2 pieces of skins, lots of offerings, lots of extra bloodpoints, the special gens and hooks... Maybe it's because it was my first event, but I loved that even so much.
I wonder how community feel about other events. Did you have a favorite one?
Yeah I agree. Seems a lot of ppl like scorchin summer bbq. Must be why they discontinued it and gave away the event rewards for free to everybody.
-
@Witas said:
it's not toxic lol.
It is annoying to do though, it forces me to just wait near a 99'ed gen until the killer comes.
Like every other tome, most of the survivor challenges are designed to further ruin the solo experience by forcing you or your teammates to play poorly.

Agree, since I cant play anymore my opinion might be less accurate then it could be but I feel the game gets worse in many ways.
I think it's mostly due to the devs prioritizing quantity over quality. It's pretty clear at this point they are content to just churn out broken, barely functional features/content as fast as they can.
-
Been on a constant decline since well before the oni chapter.
-
Pretty much every tome had an issue like this. Sadly, the priority is pushing out more challenges instead of making sure they work.
-
I'm gonna guess that ppl on console are pissed because the devs basically told them "play at a disadvantage against pc players or have fun waiting in queue." It's like your mom setting you up for a playdate with the annoying kid down the street that nobody likes.
