Let's be real. Killers wanted nerfs for medkits and CoH but both of them made survivors leave gens which was free slowdown for killers.

But yeah, devs are doing some terrible decisions. They need to make side objectives worthful for survivors, if survivors have no reason to leave gens ofcourse games will be so fast.

Let's be real, those nerfs were warranted. Playing soloq and getting matched with potatos doesn't change the fact that those things were utterly busted (oh noe, I can't heal myself in 7 seconds with a medkit anymore 😭)

Unreal that I still see people in these threads justify old CoH and medkits

  • The specific number 5 was just a random number to say "not many", anyway I'd say all Azarov's except Gas Haven, all Mcmillans except Groaning Storehouse and Shelter Woods, Father Campbell's Chapel, Dead Dawg Saloon, maybe a few Coldwinds and, I can't believe I'm even saying it, but maybe reworked Borgo

  • It's easier to ask what maps shouldn't be reworked and done properly, which is like, 5

  • @Sava18 said:

If the scale of expectation caps out at 10, bhvr was a 1 and moved to a 2. Absolutely nothing to praise with their dev count.

They listen, pick and choose their responses and then also pick and chose what they work on. Then there's a good chance they didn't actually understand or someone is too egotistical to correctly make a change just for it to end up terrible.

EXTREMELY slow changes combined with sub par results does not warrant praise.

No real base game changes, mediocre events, poor changes, SLOW.

Sadako failed rework that didn't make her more fun to play against, SM failed, Trickster failed, legion and ghost face reworks that were really just add-on passes and a couple basekit buffs. Perks get slowly rotated in and out of the meta at a crawl and half of them on survivor side have been meta forever.

They are more transparent when they want to be and I know they act faster then in the past but it's still nothing.

I might seem mad here but I'm really not, just disappointed.

Other than the mediocre events part, I completely agree with most of this post. The first line especially, I don't understand how people can praise this clownery when they did really just the minimum

  • I really wish they removed map offerings. I hate how players can intentionally rig a game even more in their favor by bringing a map offering

Only map offerings I welcome from either side are Azarov and McMillan, and in some cases Crotus Prenn and Dead Dawg, but coincidently it's almost never those maps

You brought a strange agenda to this topic, which isn’t about medkits. So maybe, since you’re keen on discussing topic irrelevant things, you can comment about unfair killer add-ons here too? IJS. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Me? I replied to this and the discussion continued. At least read the thread before commenting

Is this post satire? “Why no nerfs for survivors”? *MfT has entered the chat.

Healing has been nerfed into the ground and it now takes forever. Why waste time healing when you could be completing gens? Especially in this current gen-kick/regression meta.

I don’t understand killers sometimes. Back when healing was strong with COH, better med kits, etc, they said “healing is far too OP; survivors can heal in a matter of seconds”. Now it’s “survivors aren’t healing enough, how dare they focus on their objective instead of wasting time with nerfed healing”. Do you see the double standard here?

Final point, exhaustion is one of the fairest mechanics in the game. It has a lengthy cooldown and there are many perks/killer-specific add-ons which directly counter it. Reminder that killer always has the advantage, so I fail to see how a short-lived speed boost to help in chase is problematic. Do some killers just want super-easy, short-lived chases? Boring.

We can talk about butchering medkits even more after every killer addon is nerfed aswell.

Well then feel free to make a thread about unfair killer add-ons, and I'll comment on it as well

How is self-healing still strong? One med-kit has just enough charges for one heal - not withstanding how multiple killer perks can completely negate this anyway (Franklins, Sloppy Butcher, etc). I only talk about med kits as you can no longer self-heal with CoH and Self-Care is one of the worst survivor perks.

Med-kits are only strong when healing others, which they should be as it rewards altruistic play.

Because the ability to self heal is one of the strongest abilities a survivor has available. It removes entirely any pressure a killer if for any reason they decide it's not worth keep chasing, because 24 seconds is literally nothing (unlike some people like to say), sometimes 'forcing' the killer to commit to an unfavorable chase or paying the price of losing all that time. Being able to do it twice just because someone brought an item with some add-ons is just busted.

Saying medkits are only good to heal others is just plainly wrong, there's not even a debate about it.

Every other self healing way has, justifiably, stricter conditions: self-care needs at least botany to be worth it, inner healing requires cleansing a totem and getting inside a locker for 12 seconds, so we have a base time of 26 seconds + all the time to find the totem and to get in a locker, which are heavily rng but in the end require 30+ seconds.

Medkits can give you two free health states in 24 each, and that's not ok. Even with add-ons they shouldn't be able to give so much value without at least spending a perk for it, so the only solution I see is nerfing those add-ons that give multiple charges

  • Almost 8 years and console still doesn't have m&k 🦀🦀🦀

  • XD Wesker and nurse in the list but not blight who's arguable stronger (nurses argument) or knight and artist, who are as equally dull to sm and trickster

So you just don't want survivors to be healed at all if they nerf medkits. Like just at that point just cancel dbd altogether bc the game will surely die. Nobody will play it then you will complain about that.

No, I'm saying that they're still too strong: you can still actively get two full self heals without dedicating a single perk for item consumption + syringes are still a thing which has no place in a balanced game

  • I disagree with bhvr' stance on soloq as well. However, one of the biggest issues with soloq other than lack of information, is the fact that there's so many "casual" (read: really REALLY bad) players you'll get matched with.

A 3v1 from the beginning cuz someone DCs on hook is no different from a 3vq1from the beginning because we have mikaela booning 6 times the same totem, jill incapable of not running into a wall while being chased or bill crouching in a corner the Moment the visual terror radius slightly lights up

The only bugs I would like to see fixed are those regarding blight, but that's just for the pleasure of seeing blight mains on copium, not because I care about the bugs themselves

    Hi!

For Batteries Included, we feel that we may have jumped the gun nerfing it from the PTB version. We'll be closely monitoring the situation on Live - and of course, we always want to hear feedback!

Can you please stop jumping the gun with trickster too, by over nerfing him just to over buff him again and ######### settle to something that doesn't make him extremely miserable to either play or play against?

That killer is always going to be unfun because it was a failed design to begin with. Just stop completely leaning the unfun part to one side over the other

This reads: revert again the timer to 10 seconds. No need to cater to even the most mediocre players, who can't even hit 1 of the 7493858304 knives trickster has within 10 seconds from the previous, and make it even easier to play him

  • It's funny to rub it in on killers that unsuccessfully tried to tunnel me or one of my swf friends out of the game just to get 3-4outed

    This

Same, gave this stupid report system another chance by going through the whole process and providing video evidence, just to see nothing happened to the two people that were holding me hostage with this bug.

This was the last time I waste my time on this stupid report system

    Deep Wounds, actually.

Completely dependent on the Killer and their ping.

Crazy how that makes a perk horrible. Who could've seen it coming

It's now an anti tunneling perk, works pretty well with OTR and DH, or basekit BT. It's not #########, it's just not overly busted

But just like killer players when they stop playing a killer cuz they read the word nerf (e.g., Spirit), survivors stop playing their busted perks the moment they're not stupidly broken anymore

So she's a weaker Clown with some minor benefits to compensate for.

The only "issue" I can see is that utilizing her powers takes pressing a button, while Clowns practice for a dozen trials until they can reliably apply their (considerably stronger) hinder + haste. Not that I see an issue with that - not every killer has to be equally difficult to use.

She's a stronger clown, not weaker. On top of clowns power, she gets free injuries and she doesn't have to use her brain deciding where to throw bottles, unlike clown players

On top of that, dropping a pallet is actually effective against clown

  • @CorvusCorax86 said:

His lore, cosmetics and overall gameplay concept are all interesting but it is difficult to win against a fairly decent team.

Autohaven is just awful when it comes to lockers.

Also, what's with people only locking one locker if there are 2 next to one another?

Dredge cannot choose which locker to teleport to, by default it goes to the locked one. So locking only one is the correct play, because once it leaves the locker, if the other is locked dredge can immediately break it with m1. If it's unlocked, survivors can lock the second one later and further slow dredge down

  • A lot of killers need tweaks, a few of then need full on reworks: sm (delet ) and feeddy (rework his power and make him do something pls)

  • @egg_ said:

Distortion is unironically one of the best perks in the game, consider running it, especially if in a 4man swf. If all 4 are running it, killers with aura builds are miserable

    @egg_ said:

People really underestimate how strong distortion is. It's so easy to gain tokens back that only killers/powers/addons that can easily eat through them gain advantage (and as of now I can only think of two killers with this advantage: full aura reading huntress thanks also to her short TR, or plague with black incense, maybe there's some more but otherwise when facing killers with full aura build I still have zero problems gaining back my tokens before they all expired).

I still can't understand why gaining tokens in chase is allowed, or why they don't change it to gen progress % instead of TR.

I'm saying this as someone who's been steadily using Distortion for a couple of months now. It's really that good

    @egg_ said:

I didn't want to open a thread myself because distortion is truly a hidden gem and it's really on the limit of 'too strong's because of all the information it gives for free and its a ability to negate entire killer builds

I wouldn't say it's broken, not at all, but consider that distortion gives information even when it's not working. Start the trial, 3 full tokens, ok no LP. Killer kicks gen, still 3 tokens, no Nowhere to hide. And so on. It's not a gamble taking this perk into the trial because it is helpful even while not getting actual use out of it.

It's really too easy to recharge tokens against some killers, while with others it's very difficult, making it also uneven. If i were to change it, I'd make tokens recharge based on how much a survivor worked on gens.

    @egg_ said:

Distortion is already strong enough as it is

I really just saw someone say pinhead has strong chase. He's 80% passive.

Impaling wire wants to have a talk with you

  • Got two of them while playing killer yesterday, they held me hostage in shack. Recorded the game and for once submitted a full report, that ######### was annoying af. Hopefully you did so too, this was an actually bannable offence last time it happened

  • Actually, upping this tweet here too:

    Screenshot_20231208-233814.png

  • Too big, huge deadzones

  • Yeah no, Sadako can already easily turn someone into her plaything effectively denying them the possibility to get a tape and put it in the tv if they decide to focus on them

We don't need for the killer to know also if it's worth committing to that tunnel too (that let's remind everyone, it effectively can remove someone from the game without them ever being hooked)

^This is also the reason pig doesn't see the timer btw, it's not that difficult

Plague not seeing the timer is fine too, they might decide to risk an m1 when the survivor is on a window or pallet. No need to tell them if it's gonna be worth or not

  • Pinhead is the ultimate soloq basher, he's got a strong chase and requires coordination because of the box. All stuff that is easy to communicate but difficult to tell your soloq teammates

Simple solution: find a swf, cuz pinhead is fine as a killer

Only thing I'd change is original pain, it makes tunneling way too easy

  • I mean it could actually be a small buff to fire up, without making a whole new perk nobody would use

  • End game is part of the match though? DBD is designed to reach end game anyway, as it's balanced for a certain escape ratio. It's not like the game is over

  • Take botany with you. Infinite solo heals are extremely powerful

  • I hope stbfl will lose stacks when the obsession gets injured regardless of M1s

So maybe bad killers will finally learn to use their m2 instead of playing trapperless evan

  • @IamFran said:

At his point I'm startint to think that the hate train towards the Skull Merchant is simply a trend and not based on something objetive.

I've played as her a good amount of times and the survivor gave up to me very few times, not more than when I play other killers and survivos realize they're going to lose. So the "survivors give up against Skull Merchant" is an urban legend invented by her haters.

The "she still can hold 3 gens", well, A lot of killers can do and for example the Knight is better in that purpose currently, also high mobility killers like Nurse or Blight are better in that purpose than her and nobody compain about them in that sense.

Also the Skull Merchant isn't even a popular killer, I face one of them every 20 matches or less.

Urban legend? Try getting matched against me as sm

Anyway how is it a fad to criticize one of the worst reworks ever? At least Freddy was just utterly made useless. She has everything possibly unfun in the game just as her basekit: free bloodlust, free hindered, free injuries, zero brain required. It's perfectly ok not wanting to play against this abomination, and criticizing & hating on it is not jumping a band wagon but perfectly legit

  • If I win (3/4 out or 4k depending on the side I was on), it was balanced

    Otherwise game's clearly broken

  • 99ing has killed me or my friends (when not in a full swf) way more than people straight up opening the exit gate. If EGC timer isn't enough for you to save someone, that's really just on you. At most, 99 the exit gate before fully healing, then open it. But keeping it closed while someone is getting chased is the worst choice u can make

If Trickster was extremely oppressive in chase and got downs no matter what, ask yourself, would his kill-rate and pick-rate have been so far down the toilet that Behaviour felt the need to make adjustments to him ahead of numerous other Killers? The only issue PTB Trickster had was his add-ons, the only issue he has now is the fire-rate. If Trickster was downing Survivors no matter what, then no matter what they must have been running in a straight line.

Pick rate doesn't necessarily correlate to strength. Artist is strong but has a low pick rate too. He's simply not that fun for either side, just like artist whose gameplay boils down to place crow, shut down loop

  • I personally don't, because then the line between player's personal skill and 'getting carried by the perk' really fades.

Was it MFT, or did I just get outplayed?

Was the killer good, or was it just the 4 slowdowns?

I'm already personally against strong items and add-ons for both sides. Imho perks should help but not be game changing
