Both of these killers are extremely underwhelming. Why create another one when the two existing ones are already bottom-tier? Shouldn't this thread better ask for some buffs/rework for the existing two?
No, because that's not what they're discussing.

Artist is semi-setup. Freddy was. I wouldn't mind a new setup killer. The "boring" factor of them is really overdramatized, and usually comes from people who haven't played them or got good at them, and/or who don't know how to play against them or have teammates who don't know how to play against them.
-
It's not a skill issue. It's as you say. You either press it too early and look dumb, or you press it too late and get nothing.

technically flashlight clicking can be strategic in that you can initiate a spin and use it to aggro the killer in certain scenarios
tbagging can also be considered strategic depending on the context. asking for heals, etc. also taking aggro.
also tunneling and camping is a strategy but only in extremely extremely specific circumstances.
egc and you need the dignified 1k? camping is fine. a true gen rush sweat squad? definitely valid.
your average match? no lol its never really justified in average matches
By aggro the killer, you mean aggravate. You just being there sets you up as a target for the killer to go for. You don't have to tbag or flashlight click spam to get their attention.
So if I'm not "justified" in camping or tunneling, I'm not allowed to do it? I'm only allowed to do it once I'm already losing? What if losing IS my average match, since I'm not usually playing Nurse or Blight?

Listen as someone who usually tends to agree that BHVR has a hard time balancing the game and tends to favor survivors the hatch is not a problem at all. If you play solo-q you'll notice how sometimes its the only way to escape.
And whose fault is that? The killer's?

The counter to that is to literally hit them. Either they disable it on their own or you can physically deactivate it yourself. Also it's odd how you failed to mention the perk deactivates in endgame which is literally counterplay
Just hit them? And then they get a free sprint burst after they already had Haste off hook? I wonder why killers consider these scenarios lose-lose. If the survivors made it to endgame, they won't need those perks anymore anyway. It would just be a free escape for them.
Killers having endgame perks though? Certain downsides are attached to them that they don't need. Apparently, NOED needs to be a destroyable hex AND reveal its aura to them. Remember Me needs to be maxed out at 4 stacks AND not work on the obsession. Blood Warden needs the gates to be open AND only blocks them once.

No I am not. Strategic proxy camping and slugging for the 4K as part of the trial is fine. Do you think that is what I am talking about??
Slugging all 4 at the ground, nodding your head instead of hooking them. That is BM.
Facecamping 1 survivor at 5 gens left as Bubba and refusing to leave. That is BM.
Please tell me you see the difference.
I see the difference, but that's because you're including head nodding in one. Simply slugging or simply facecamping at 5 gens still serve a purpose. What is it with people forgiving camping and tunneling when the killer's already losing, but acting like they're the worst people that ever lived when it happens to be at 5 gens?
-
I proudly admit I tunnel. It's turned 0Ks into 2Ks and 2Ks into 4ks for me.

I'm for it. The map has all the hallmarks of a bad DBD map.

Lol. Projecting much?
So you tunnel them because of the gen perks they probably don't even have or you tunnel them because they don't have the anti-tunnel perks? Which btw do pretty much nothing.
"Do nothing"? Bologna. I've taken killers on long chases after using Off The Record and DS on them. Don't know how I'm the only one who can do this.

Can you please explain how tunneling a gen is different from doing a gen?
Get hit, keep working on gen, take another hit with Dead Hard, finish gen and get downed. That's tunneling a gen.
-
They didn't overbuff killers. You can't even get a hit on some of these survivors with Wraith, Freddy, Pig, Ghost Face, Demogorgon, because the maps are still busted. It's their game to lose. You have to have the most perfect chases, know exactly when to drop them, and where all 4 survivors are at any one time, and then you still have a good chance of losing because of ridiculous gen speeds, like 60 seconds on average when they're supposed to be 90. This "overbuff" that killers got is a drop in the bucket.

Survivor BM is just this, not that bad. It's over in a second, not that I defend it. The Killer can still roam the map and actually play.
When Killers BM (facecamp, slug) survivors are forced to just sit there.
What is worse?
In my experience, even though I know it happens of course, I don't see much BM from survivors. Usually the Killer is in control from the get go anyway.
You're confusing killer BM with strategy. It's simple. Survivor tbagging and flashlight clicking doesn't give them an advantage, and is just to annoy. Killers camping and tunneling can be annoying, but it first and foremost gives them an advantage, and often times they have to do it at least a little to win.

thing is people have very different opinions on what a "lost" game is. Ive seen games with 5 gens left and a 3v1 being pulled back. Anything is possible unless your teammates refuse to do gens and sit on the edge of map.
Mhmm. I reject this mentality that, "Oh, it's a 3v1? We can't possibly win." Maybe you can't, but you should at least try. I've gone into games knowing it's turning for the worst, and simply sat on gens with Resilience/Adrenaline, and me and/or others had got out because I did that. It's about not giving up so soon.

Go either way? If the killer hook someone before the first gen is done the match is over
How do you figure? At best, they got a Pain Res and a BBQ from that hook. Are you saying that's an unwinnable situation? There have been several games I've had where I got a good 2-3 hooks early on, and then the survivors just had really crazy chases and all the gens got done, with maybe 1 or 2 more hooks after the initial ones. Why would you think that 1 hook before 1 gen would be so devastating?

Excuse me what second chance spam is still alive? Most of those perks get deleted the second you finish the final gen. OTR isn't always that helpful if the killer has a way of getting hits in a faster manner (including Legion). The more you speak, the more killer bias you show and it eats at your logic. Also last time I checked, DMS + Pain Res exists, Plaything + Pentimento exists, Overcharge+ Call of Brine exists, Discordance, Thrilling Tremors exists, and other gen info/slowdown. So you're argument is completely invalid.
It's not invalid. I don't even think any of those killer perks see play in tournament outside of maybe on Nurse or Blight. There's a counter to all of them, btw. Unlike survivor perks where they just get 80 seconds of invulnerability.

That's what I'm saying. He's saying they'd have to be massively deluded to think that, and yes they are. But this isn't just a few survivors. Basically the whole community acts like that when they get hatch. I can't remember the last time a survivor got hatch against me and didn't tbag, assuming they had time to. Their mentality is literally, "I escaped so therefore you're a bad killer" and everyone else will chime in with something similar to that. If you admit you play killer on these forums, your skill WILL be questioned.

The difference is that pre-update, a killer could just hit a survivor straight off the hook and put them straight back on. This made for grossly unfair/unfun gameplay - particularly for solo-queue and new players. BHVR fairly balanced this massive survivor buff by buffing many aspects of killer gameplay. To name a few: base-kit STBFL, reduced gen-speeds, reduced survivor speed-boost from injury, no end-game 2nd chance perks, and buffed bloodlust. Call me biased, but I would argue this was already a fair trade-off for base kit BT, which I'll add, only affects you if you hit a survivor off the hook - if you don't play this way, you won't even notice base kit BT.
The whole update was very killer-sided, which was fair because survivors dominated for too long. However, they need to look at statistics from the recent update before even considering base-kit Corrupt. If the statistic shows killer rates have increased (which I'd bet a lot they have), adding base-kit Corrupt will just be overkill. The buffed-gen speeds are already enough and there are countless perks/addons which enable you to get early-game pressure.
How long are y'all gonna refer to this recent 'killer-sided update' as the reason why the game is fine for killers universally? It's not. Trapper, Pig, and Ghost Face are still nowhere near Nurse and Blight level, and even they lose a lot. There are not countless ways of getting early game pressure; you're still losing from the get-go as killer. That hasn't changed, because you can't be everywhere at once. If survivors have to a do a gen for 10 more seconds, they can cry me a river. Killers have spent an additional minute getting 1 person down 1 time because of absolutely safe loops, second chance perks, and body blockers, which became stronger because of the "killer-sided update".
-
It's about that time. Survivors now get BT and Hope+Blight Serum for free.
-
Deja Vu for survivor, and Thrilling Tremors for killer.
-
He might have just came out of his power as you thought to do that, and you didn't know that he knew that you didn't know.
It's the same thing when a chainsaw killer mindgames you at the locker as you're locker teching, either commiting to you coming out by holding on to the saw, or cancelling it prematurely to grab you out.
-
I wouldn't worry about it until we start seeing it all the time. For right now, Prove Thyself is being played all the time, way more than Hyperfocus/Stake Out, probably because it's easier to pull off: you just equip the perk.
-
At least Prestige 3 on every character, except the new ones. Most killers are Prestige 6+, and my Trapper is Prestige 10.
-
Maybe 4? It's very inconsistent and clunky feeling right now.
-
At least give up on hook when the game is already lost. These people give up way too early, even when it can go either way, or when we actually have the advantage. "3 gens already done and the killer has 2 hooks? There's no way we can win this! Rage quit!" It's a self-fulfilling prophecy every time.
I'm not saying I've never unalived myself on hook, but it's usually in matches where I see literally all 3 teammates walking around after I just took the on what should have been a 2+ gen chase. If y'all aren't going to put in effort, I guess I won't either. Most of the time though I at least try to play it out, unlike most solo teammates.

Yeah, toxic killers are relatively rare. Usually they can only express their toxicity by hitting you on hook, or acting like they are going to let you go, but then closing the hatch or downing you at the gate switch. The first one is a waste of their time, the latter two are more annoying because they are just wasting your time.
Thought to be fair, a single smack on hood may just be to shut the surv up. Repeated smacking is just...pathetic. Makes the killer seem easily tilted and not all that smart.
I don't let toxic killers bother me, because I know how difficult the game is supposed to be for them. Clearly if they're acting toxic, it's because they got lucky and got a super easy match. They won't be celebrating next match when they get wrecked by efficient survivors.

Gen regression is dead?
Pop was nerfed and Ruin was.. well. But I doubt you've missed all the people getting some good mileage out of the like 10 other regression/slowdown perks that were buffed. It wasn't literally just ruin and pop.
It's like a survivor coming up and yelling SURVIVOR IS UNPLAYABLE after Dead Hard was nerfed.
Gen regression has been dead at high level for a long time. Against survivors who aren't efficient? Sure, it's alive. But literally what can these perks do that survivors can't deal with? Gen kicking perks? Just tap it. Pain Res? Let go before it blows. Eruption? Finish it before it blows or push another gen. It's pointless, because survivors progress the gens faster than you can regress them, and that's one of the reasons why they can cause you to lose the whole game off a 20-second chase. That 2.5% per kick? Mhmm, definitely making the game unbeatable for survivor.
People always say, "Oh well, you're not facing that level all the time anyway." Oh, but I am, like 70% of the time. You don't have to be perfectly efficient or be good at chases to beat a good killer. If you're semi-decent, that's good enough. With Nurse and Blight it's different, but for every other killer you can play not that well and still expect escapes. "You can just make up for it with tunneling and camping." Okay, so I can just camp and tunnel from the get go for a free 4k? Not how it works. There's too many braindead loops for survivor where the killer has to waste time guaranteed, and that's to get 1 down.
But survivors mains are gonna continue to insist that it's them who have the unplayable game.

I said the map can be unfun as survivor, which I've found it to be especially if you're caught in some areas, but it is worse as killer as I believe at core the map is survivor sided. There are so many loops that have multiple pallets and windows right next to them and can take ages to catch a survivor at depending on which killer you're playing as. I'm really confused where you pulled "It's just as bad as killer as survivor" from in the first place because I never once said that in my original post so it seems like a made up argument. I said it's annoying as both in my opinion, because I overall just don't enjoy playing on the map, but I never said "It's horrible for both equally!" as you seem to think I did.
Not horrible for both equally, but you did say it sucks for both sides in some form or fashion, which I don't get. If there's weak areas as survivor, don't go there. If there's strong loops as killer, it's not a guarantee because survivors can bring you to those areas, but try not to chase there.

"Survivors don't need anymore stuff for free," they said, after one of the most killer sided patches in history that increased gen times, buffed basic attack recovery speed, buffed gen and pallet kicking speed, added a base percentage progress reduction to gen kicks, buffed bloodlust, and nerfed survivors' post hit speed burst.
In return, survivors got 10 seconds of endurance and haste after being unhooked. And, their biggest incentive to not get camped (the bp bonus from BBQ requiring that you hook each survivor once) got removed.
You need a reality check bud.
Killers are tunneling and camping more than any time in recent memory, and solo queue is miserable because of it.
There's a reason why the queue bloodpoint bonus stays on survivor for 95% of the day, where as previous to the mid-chapter patch, in my area, survivor queues would be good during the day, while killer queues would get better at night.
Solo queue needs help, and badly. They've partially addressed the tunneling problem, but have done nothing about camping, and actually made it worse by extending gen times and changing BBQ. And I shouldn't have to bring a mediocre perk (behind a paywall) every game just to have some small way to discourage it.
The buff killers got has nothing to do with it, even though it was well overdue. Gen times were changed because they went stupid fast, and they still do. All you need is a few efficient survivors. Solo is miserable because of the matchmaking, not because gens take too long or the killer downs too quick. The teammates are what drag you down, and cause you to lose to killers you have no place losing against. At the same time, killer is miserable because all you get is sweats and SWF, so basically you're never gonna vs the kinds of survivors that would be your teammates. If you don't camp or tunnel good luck, because the survivors are gonna see that, abuse it, get an easy escape, and then tbag you for playing fair. But now even tunneling doesn't really work, because unhooked survivor not only get 10 seconds of BT for free, but also 10% Haste which I don't think they've ever been able to get previously except for using multiple Haste perks. You can't destroy camping yet, because that's all killer has got right now.
-
@KerJuice said:
Idk…I’m already questioning why this is a perk when Leader already exists. Leader can affect more than one teammate simultaneously and gives a 25% buff. And it still gives value even if your team takes damage.
Because you can stack this and Leader, so they had to play safe with the numbers. All you have to do is heal someone, and you can theoretically heal everyone so that they get these buffs.

It can definitely be terrible for both. It really varies depending on the type of team you go against as killer, and the killer you go against as survivor. There are a lot of stupid places in the map that favor one side or the other. There are many pallets that are better off being ignored than being used because they're so unsafe but then there are parts of the map that have two pallets and a window that can be looped for a long period of time with little to no risk against certain killers. You act as if a map can't just be purely badly designed and be not fun for any side.
I'd also like to add that I never said it sucked the same amount for both sides, I believe it is more survivor sided but can still be unfun as a survivor especially with how much it is being spammed right now.
Your analysis of this map can be applied to basically any map. Some pallets are weaker and some are stronger. No, a map cannot be badly designed for both sides. That's actually impossible.
Is there any other reason besides bad teammates or getting the map a lot that make it bad?

It's always easier to just say "you verse shid players" if you know what I mean. But I'm serious, Solo Q players have no chance. No matter how good, they get rolled against me. Not because I'm "fcking amazing at this game" but just that the game balance and recent patch was getting stream lined around SWF vs Killer. Solos are ignored, you cant tell me a strong Solo Team is even remotely close to a decent swf on coms.
And even against good SWF coms, it was too easy most of the times. I versed a lot if streamers, went to their VODs and said to myself "Damn.. They really didn't make much mistakes, they played their best they can do with meta loudout. I dont even know how could beat myself at this point".
So in all of your matches, you never got an inkling that your survivors might be playing bad? They couldn't have run better perks, they couldn't have been faster on gens, they couldn't have played loops safer, none of that?
-
It's intentionally going for the same person as soon as they get off hook. If you hook someone else in-between or you just happen to find them, it's not tunneling.

I play on console, and here in the past few games I've come across it's always been an SWF(4 person). Gotta say before I left this game I was getting at least 2 people sacrificed per game, now, ever since I redownload it, I can't even get one sacrifice. I don't consider myself the best player, but I'm not the worst either. I definitely have more hours in Killer than Survivor. I get the game is supposed to be balanced and all, but it just doesn't seem too fun to play Killer anymore. Gonna have to move on and be done if this keeps happening.
The game can be very not fun for people who haven't played in a while, or who are brand new to the game. For some reason, the game pairs you, a supposedly lower MMR killer, with survivors at that same level, but I've heard constant complaints from those people about getting nonstop bully SWFs when they queue up, yourself included. The truth is that mid-MMR killer is the only place safe from that, because it seems to have semi-consistent matchmaking. If you're not there though, because you're too high or too low, you're gonna be getting constant sweats who will barely allow you to get a kill or two.

No, I'm bored as killer. I just win to many games with to little effort. Since the patch I had maybe like 10 games which were challenging and I had to give it all I have. I won in all of them besides 1 game with a draw
Which is evidence only of a bad MMR system. You should be getting challenged as killer on a regular basis, especially if you're testing out new builds. If that's not happening, it's probably MMR not doing its job. I can't blame SWF for all my losses anymore, because the solos that have adapted are nearly as strong as 4-man SWFs.

His playstyle focused on teleporting and keeping people from turning in tapes so he could mori them. He wouldn't go for hooks AT ALL. Definitely can see how he pug stomps with it.
A build and a playstyle that's only possible with pink and green/purple add-ons, and has probably failed as many times as it has succeeded. Besides, play her in any way other than that, and she has basically nothing on the survivors. It's not like Blight who can run a variety of builds and still have a good chance of winning each time.
-
What perks were nerfed to where you can't play them anymore? Some were even buffed. Can't say the same with killer perks, so be grateful. For example, Pop doing like 5-15% regression at best, Ruin regressing at 100% speed, being a destroyable hex, and deactivating after a survivor dies, or NOED which literally reveals its aura to the survivors.

Not every map has a set layout, but this one does. If y'all are still getting lost around Midwich and RPD, or can't learn the loops, that's on you. Windows Of Opportunity is always an option.

Have you tried the point-tech after he's slammed you into it, from healthy to injured, or does it literally hold you in there for that long?

I had a hard time playing her even before the base BT stuff. You can't really control all your traps getting triggered and wasted simultaneously, and at that point the match is over for you. That's what separates her from the rest of the "OP" killers.

The killer equivalent of hatch is to open the exitgate and camp out 1 kill.
The killer opens the exit gate? But then when he camps, they can just run out. They don't even have to take time to prep the gates. He'd be doing the survivors a favor.
