also notice how most anything on here that mentions anything to do with survivor favor or survivor complaints on here gets little to no vote up or attention and is invalidated....makes ya think
-
I know right they nerf everything survivor into the ground and the killers still moan! last three updates have been killer buffs...
-
simp killers do this and get no points at the end wasting everyone's time :( tragic

It's because if he hits it you could have Adrenaline and get another second chance. Instead he waits there in case you crawl close enough to get it while you bleed out. It's the smartest and least risky play.
killers purposefully stand over it to be toxic though and block the survivor from exiting, its rare that a killer can prevent a survivor from doing this because most of the time they close it right then and there, the killer only stands over it when they are being toxic? and i guarantee you if youre the last alive and hatch spawns no one is going to do generators theyre just gonna go for gate or hatch

Logic doesn't really factor in- their collision box prevents you from reaching the hatch and that's what matters. "Logically" you could squeeze around them and get in the hole, but that's a level of realism in movement that isn't present in any of the other game mechanics. I could argue that, logically, a survivor crouching in front of the hook shouldn't block anything because I'm hoisting a survivor up above them- they should get hooked, and then their dangling body would just smack into the person under them.
Also, this isn't an action overiding another action. It's your character not being able to perform an action because someone is in the way. The game isn't picking picking favorites on killer or survivor, it's just enforcing a universal rule that you can't interact with things if something's blocking you.
funny because the hook blocking mechanic vs the hatch blocking mechanic is much more precise, you have to be at the right exact distance in front of the hook for it to prevent the killer from hooking, yet the killer only has to be on the edge of the hatch to prevent the survivor from exiting its almost like the game favors killer in this situation. if im able to walk over the hatch i should be able to escape through it, just like the killer is allowed to hook if the survivor isnt in the exact right spot.

Do they? Denying a hook detriments Survivors? Blocking so that your friend can escape detriments Survivors? Blocking so that the Killer has to hit the BT person in order to hit the person who gave them BT? Blocking so that your friend doesn't go down?
The Killer is clearly on the Hatch first, ergo, they won the race. The Survivor can just as easily find the Hatch first and avoid this situation entirely.
yes because one more injured survivor while you have a dying on ready to be hooked is one step closer to killing survivors? it detriments a survivor to body block for their team because it takes at least 2 or 3 hits to get a survivor off of the killer's shoulder.

Body blocking is fine, in my opinion. There is no reason for this to be removed. It is consistent with the rest of the game, unless you want other instances of blocking to also be patched.
like I said the other instances of blocking make sense and dont detriment the killer, all body blocking ultimately detriments survivors, they should remove overriden actions, and give survivors the equal opportunity of escaping through the hatch regardless its not right,
-
@TraitorousLeopard said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1136558#Comment_1136558
I mean, that's the principle of body-blocking. You could just as well say "a survivor standing by a hook shouldn't prevent a person from being hooked" or "a killer standing in front of a window shouldn't stop a survivor from vaulting through it." Players take up space, and they can use that to their advantage, killer or survivor.
those situations are different and not logical though. A person standing in front of a hook would prevent someone from hanging them, A killer barely blocking a literal hole in the ground that i can still walk over but not press anything to use is bullcrap.. a killer standing in front of a window preventing a vault makes sense. Theres no reason a killer action should override a survivor action, the killer doesnt detriment from being blocked from hanging someone if anything that gives them an advantage by injuring another survivor?
-
@TraitorousLeopard said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1136540#Comment_1136540
No, it's not toxic because the survivor could just be sitting next to an exit gate. If the Killer closes the hatch and powers the gates, there's a decent chance the survivor could leave before the killer can check both gates, so camping them can give you a 50/50 shot at living. So if the Killer wants their 4K, hanging around the hatch until you see the survivor poke their head out isn't a bad idea.
but either way its unfair to have a killer action override survivor there should be an equal opportunity.
-
I think it has to be approved by licensing or something i could be totally wrong, but with it just being a public test build meaning theyre simply testing the water with the new updates, it would take more time to encode everything across each platform. Makes sense for them to test it with the platform players play the most on which im assuming is PC. This is why the dlc and updates would be approved on some platforms and then come out later on other's (switch and xbone)
It would be awesome if they had a PTB for consoles though seeing as the bugs, glitches are entirely different from PC. They could release an update for PC and then release it on Consoles and there be no issues with PC foreseeable but when it gets onto console all sorts of improvements needed.

Yes. And there's nothing wrong with it if he gets there before you then tough luck it's the killers job to hook you so if he sees the hatch open and catches you that's him playing the game
Why would they not just close it? Isn't that considered griefing and or toxic? just close the hatch or change it so that the killer's action does not override the survivors? kinda bunk

distortion?

ranks in that sense mean nothing in terms of getting matched together but in terms of that persons skill level i digress that it does because you cant just screw around and get a couple of unhooks or gens popped at rank 3 and expect a pip to get you to two or one you have to get in chases and not get downed there are certain criteria that must be met and when you get in games like the ones aforementioned there is no way that someone can. Its a blend of chance and skill. Ranks do mean something to me and always will there wouldnt be emblems and a point system if it didnt. You have to maintain your rank thats all deranking from not playing over time means. Yeah Ive had brown ranks be really good and have tier 3 perks but not always the case.....

That's the vicious cycle. Gens get done faster, insecure killer tries to secure kills, survivor becomes better survivor by looping better and using anti-tunnel perks, killer resorts to shadier tactics, etc.
yeah he tried to "Commend" me for not using decisive but he said that it wouldnt have mattered he still would have went for me like?
-
you can only loop a killer and dodge them so much eventually youre gonna get downed so dont even start with comments like you shouldnt have gotten caught or git gud, because i am good! Ive gotten 4ks on killers i dont even use at red ranks with 1 perk, people just suck with killer and no one on dbd wants to play with people who are jerks.

Just to make sure you understand Prove Yourself doesn’t give “bonus blood points,” like WGLF it just helps you cap Objective easier, similar to how Distressing helps with calling killer Devious up to the 8000 limit... these perks along with Thrill of the Hunt don’t increase your maximum past 32k per game like BBQ and WGLF do
are you sure because prove thyself says it gives you 100% bonus bloodpoints for coop actions like multi heal, multi repair. It doesn't say anything about lightbringer or altruism emblems?

I wouldn't say it's completely unreasonable, but I don't know how useful that would be. You'd end up wasting a substantial amount of your flashlight waving it around looking for portals, and ultimately there's nothing you can do about them anyway. You can't close them until they've been used. The only practical application there would be to avoid a "surprise portal", but given the map-wide sound effect, you'd already be on edge.
it would just expose it so that you could destroy it and prevent it from being used

@Black_Fence said:
While I agree it might be nice WGLF doesn't really rely on your team mates being not potatoes in fact it is favourable if they are. Team mate goes down, unhook (with BT if you are that worried) and start healing them (if they are potatoes they will want a heal so follow them until safe rescue.) If the killer comes back take a hit for survivor you haven't fully healed yet or take a hit anyway and loop until you can lose LOS or get downed. Get unhook and repeat with next potato hooked.
i guess so, to balance it they could add a third perk for killers to gain bloodpoints. I just think the amount of bloodpoints you get from using B&C vs when you dont use it vs the amount survivors get is drastic.

literally the last 3 updates have been killer buffs, theyre making it so sabotaging is quicker when really what they need to do is make wiggling quicker....

how is that a nerf? the flashlight magically stops invisibility, teleportation, and etchings in the ground it should be able to reveal an invisible portal also.

but if youre hiding and you see him place one....i do that a lot up against him

when he places one but hasnt teleported through it yet. its invisible and cant be destroyed. It would make sense that the flashlight would let you expose it to be destroyed.

hahaha it wouldc make the game more fun against him tho

nah fam you all got it twisted and putting hypotheticals on the webs. If a killer deserves a kill ill give it to him. When he slugs the whole team just because he can and he knows we will get penalties if we DC thas not okay and ONE of the MANY instances im referencing which has already occurred since they placed the matchmaking lock on console.
They need to put a matchmaking lock if you DC more than once within the same hour... 👍️

JUST
LOOP
For ######### sake, its not that hard, you have many ways to avoid his shocks from impacting you, throw the pallet early, learn to dodge him, hide in a locker when he is using his static blast, JUST LEARN HOW TO PLAY AGAINST HIM
Overpowered would mean he literally breaks the game to the point there is absolutely no way to counter him, when thats simply not the case
they have bloodlust tho

You dont even know what overpowered means, do you expect me to think that is not your line of thinking?
overpowered is literally being able to out the survivors when there is a perk that is able to already do so. overpowered is being able to stun the survivor from being able to interact with anything on the map to get away from the killer, overpowered is having a nerf then a buff then another buff back to back so that survivors dont passively decay in madness. overpowered is having a delayed stun status duration when he stuns you with his shock you shouldnt be stunned for as long as you are. After you get shocked and grab your head or whatever animation the survivor does you shouldnt still be stunned a .5 sec - 1 sec after you're done doing that animation.

I disagree.
Cleansing already heals Survivors AND is half of Plague's power. The Plague should not have to hunt the map to use her power.
And the Devs should not touch Spirit until they actually fix Nurse instead of just ripping out her guts and saying 'Job's done!'
I ave no real opinion on Tuft.
they could still keep the cleansing noise and the fountain red just dont have a location indicator of where they did it at purge is pretty decent w/o vomit water

Scratch Nurse off your list.
Now, she walks slower than Survivors AND can't spam her blink! She lost all her map pressure and at least 50% of her chase pressure.
And the OP thinks 'Survivors are disadvantaged'. :P
Only because the Devs have not started 'Looking at' Spirit (she's next) and then Billy.
I think billy is fine, they need to remove purges ability to see where someone cleanses so they have to stumble upon a cleansed fountain and nerf spirit, those are the only killer aspects i think need to be nerfed and michaels tuft of hair
-
how are they not overpowered its rare that a group of survivors are coordinated when youre playing solo all of these excuses are like perfect game scenarios my only point was that there should be a cap to tuft of hair and you still got butthurt make it make sense

Get to rank one, record your results of 10 or so games. However, if killers are truly "Overpowered" use 1 perk and only count 4k's as wins. According to you, this should be easy.

So your only argument is against moris? Because the way for the killer to win is to get kills; it's in the name. And the quicker they get kills, the fewer gens get done, which awards gate keeper points. I'm not going to go around smashing pallets while survivors walk around doing whatever they please.
no i dont care about moris that much so much as ridiculous add ons like tuft of hair and other ultra rare add ons....

Actually, I don't know what you mean. I can't tell if you are trolling by saying survivors are under powered or just don't know what you are talking about. Mori and certain add ons for killer are certainly too strong in my opinion. But as a whole, survivors have it easier.
most games i get with killers dont go for longer matches they want to get a 4k as quick as possible and dont get as much player rank xp as opposed to if they were in the game longer actually hooking everyone at least twice and damaging pallets and gens..

Your point? Sounds like that Killer is good and the Survivors are bad. The Killer went perkless and the Survivors all had Brand New Parts, a Key, a Flashlight, D-Strike, Adrenaline, We'll Make it, and Object of Obsession and they lost to a Trapper using no Perks?
That team sucks
Do you even play Killer? What's your favorite build and Killer? What's your strategy? Do you enjoy playing Killer or is it too difficult/easy?
I think you're just bad and you're complaining you can't get good.
At the moment I'm a Rank 5, almost 4 Survivor and most of my Survivors are level 1.
I normally play hag when i play killer. I dont enjoy killer because its so easy. Hag is the only one I have lvl 50 and i just recently started leveling freddy and cannibal. Im at rank 7 right now with killer. Killers are overpowered in my opinion so....

ADVANTAGES OF A SURVIVOR
1---3rd person camera, I can see the stealth Killer hiding even when they can't see me.
2---I have 3 chances and then I'm out of the game, if a Killer screws up once they lose.
3---If I have a Key, I SAY WHEN THE GAME ENDS. 3 Gens done and there's 2 of us left, game over. 4 Gens done and 3 of us left, game over, just me, game over no matter what.
4---I can sit in a corner of the map and never leave and I will never be found. I can sit there and crouch walk a little bit to avid crows and then when everyone dies I just take the Hatch. If the Killer does they lose.
5---If I am with a SWF and have voice chat, I can spy on the Killer and be everyone's warning call. If I run the Killer around I can tell everyone to stay on their Gen because they are 100% safe. A Killer has no idea I'm doing this and they have no one to rely on but themselves.
6---I can run a loop almost an infinite amount of times if I am in a chase but I 100% CAN run an infinite forever and ever if they are not actually ''in chase''.
7---As a Survivor I have 5 or more second chance perks that allow me to escape, the Killer has 1 and they ridiculed for using it.
8---I can completely turn off a Killer's perks, Killers can't do that unless you're Plague and the Survivor has Inner Strength or Fixated.
9---I have Object of Obsession and I can see the Killer and whatever they do, if the Killer is Trapper it is game over. The Killer has several perks that does this but none are anywhere near as powerful as this but the Killer is still called a tryhard for using BBQ and Chili.
10---I have Stake Out, This is Not Happening, a toolbox with the wrench add-on and I completely negate the effects of Hex: Ruin.
11---If the Killer is tunneling my friend I can take a hit for them, my entire team can take a hit for them and everyone will still leave through the Exit because of team work.
12---I have a flashlight and my friend has a toolbox, there is an Event going on with special hooks, the Killer will never reach it or ever use it because I don't want them to.
I can keep going
all of these "ADVANTAGES" and you can still get a 4k off of a level 1 killer with 1 perk and no add ons....

It's extremely easy to beat a fragant tuft Myers. Rush gens and stay aware Myer's location, and cut LoS at any opportunity. If your teammates are doing the same, you'll be fine.
the match we had it in was a random match, he ran ruin and we only had 1 gen done. He camped hook and i dont even know how he got tier 3 because he barely stalked me
