You're owed nothing, you can't expect the killers to be chill when survivors aren't and the same the other way around just play then game
-
Saying noed isn't fair because it rewards bad killers? Surely a bad killer would. Only get the one down ? As survivors get more efficient end game is playing a bigger part of the game not sure why we should shame kills for using it when it has so many downsides

I'd say it's between Wraith, Huntress, and Freddy. I'm proooobably leaning toward Wraith, personally?
I think huntress and blood warden are good enough to be used. Not sure why anyone would use any of wraiths perks
-
Small game and counterforce should be one perk both are a bit weak alone
-
Trapper is a weak killer but getting a trap in the right place and win the game, he can have massive snowball potential it's just rare and often costs a lot of set up time.
-
I've had plenty of games where I've done all 5 totems, people moan about noed, they know how to stop it but just ignore totems. I say if survivors aren't trying to stop noed then leave it as is

Good killers don't need NOED.
The issue with NOED is that it's a genuinely unfair perk. It's not broken, it's just braindead. Doing bones is a waste of time when I could be holding M1 on gens instead. Plus, they might not even have it.
That's the point they might have it but you can normally tell by the skill of the killer if they have noed or not.
-
If you suspect it walk sideways at them spine chill is fine

I mean, it will automatically generate way more work than just changing one color. There are different types of color blindness. You gotta implement the settings, test in various environments of it works and if it doesn’t affect ‚normal‘ gameplay. Implementing it for various aura readings, scratchmarks, with thick mist, perks etc. Will the Option be available during a match? Then you gotta watch out for possible bugs while switching. Or make sure it’s only available while in lobby/pre lobby menu.
I think they should do it, and since it is asked for a lot I also think they will eventually, but it’s not just one line of code and things are settled and done.
Yeah I don't mean to sound like it would take a few seconds but no one was asking for a new UI and a lot were after colour blind settings their priorities seem off that's all

I am all for accessibility options (as long as they are feasible and don’t give unfair advantage to others which then nullify the original intend of bringing those with disability to the same level...). though colorblind options in such a complex game are not as easy to implement (the new UI doesn’t help there...)
(It also requires special QA treatment, which is really time consuming, so expanding the QA team would also be necessary)
I don't think it's about , can they it's about do they want too. Surely just changing the colour red to another would be it.

I have a filter on my pc that helps with scratch marks, but I've accepted I'm only ever able to track blood using the bloodhound perk (or when its highlighted generally) unless im on a map with a very light floor.
But with these new UI changes I don't know what I'm going to do, I'm not gonna stop playing, i know that much, but I will be exponentially worse, not being able to tell the health states of team mates or my exhaustion status is a pretty big ######### problem if you ask me!
With this attitude they are taking they are locking out a large portion of their community with the excuse of it being abused and actually not doing it because it will bring no profit! The only thing that could be abused is blood, and we aren't asking for a free permanent bloodhound, we're asking for it to show up in a different shade/colour (seeing as the people with issues the most are red blind people, like myself). It's not like with that change people will use colourblind settings to abuse it, they wouldn't be able to see it any better, and even if they could, accessibility is more important than a few scumbags abusing the accessibility settings!
You've stuck with it longer than I would the new UI just seems intentionally bad hopefully they change it,

I feel it should be a higher priority in all honesty than it is. That's just me though.
I have to use the windows setting for auto locking my M1 when I hold it for half a second so that I can do gens so I don't accidentally let go or stress my hands too much; as it causes complications with my condition. I have something similar set for my scroll wheel which is bound to struggling as well.
I have an alternative, color blind players I don't know if they do....maybe there is some filter or sweetfx reshade thing you can use to help that inverts colors or something perhaps? I am not sure.
I know you can have work around a on PC but there are 4 other consoles that don't have any choice.

I'm a main killer with 4300 hours I don't tunnel and sometimes I kill 3 and 4 without doing it, even in some games on the map, I don't kill anyone. Why does that player who tunnels have to kill all 4?
Killing the survivors is the point of the game, if you want to ignore the easy target in front of you then that's your decision but that's not the best choice. If you have over 4000 hours in the game you know exactly why people tunnel. If you're at one gen with 4 people alive and two are on death hook you need to chase one of them and not someone who's not been hooked.
-
If "tunneling" is working why would you stop ? The best strat has always been remove one person quickly. You can't 12 hook every game focusing two people is the best stay now with the current DS. Plus if the killer runs in to some just unhooked should they ignore them ?
-
They knew you were a nurse with infectious, should of just left you to camp, they could of done the gen and got 3 out. You pointed out your mistake early on and they took advantage, no reason you shouldn't do the same.
-
You've not played the twins when Victor gets stuck in the floor, that shoes how weak no power truly is
-
Borrowed time in to mom they'll never see it coming 😉
-
Same twins ps5 4k and 11 hooks and I got silver
-
Happened to me too both times once the last gen was done dunno if that was it, on ps5

Do you think I have the power to stop people from attempting kobes or something? They can do what they want, but then so can I, so if they want to attempt to kobe I’ll just leave them to fend for themselves. :)
Fair enough I can't imagine getting salty over someone unhooking themselves though. Try not to take it personally it's a game

If someone kobes in my face as I’m running in to save them then yeah, they wasted my time.
They wouldn't have tried if you wasn't there. Chill it's a game let people have fun. Its survivor you don't need to be that efficient

If people wanna try to kobe that’s fine, but it shows me they don’t give a ######### about my time or enjoyment so I’ll no longer have any interest in theirs either. Not gonna be mad about it but then they shouldn’t be mad if I don’t heal them, take hits for them or try to save them again either.
If they didn't respect your time them would try everytime it's. 4% chance if they get it, it's whatever no one is doing it to upset you just wanna role the dice. They didn't waste your time as they wouldn't try if they didn't have someone to unhook them.

Yeah but a low rank killer without tracking doesn't know this. For all he knows there's a survivor on 3 different gens who don't give a shite about the hooked person
That's the problem if you hook someone and don't have any info on where to go every option is the wrong choice
-
Honestly you need to play bad to get adept. Use stealth over marking, stick the green and yellow cool down add ons on pick a indoor map like Hawkins. Assuming you're red ranks you need 9 hooks and 4 kills, once you're down to two people try to find hatch, don't be afraid to tunnel or just focus 2 down but remember you need the 9 hooks. two of his perks are okay but just keep going till you get a team that can't handle you
-

I'm a Trapper main.
I know the maps/routes survivors take but Trapper has gotten a really big stealth buff over the years:
They keep adding new killers.
Nobody knows how to handle Trapper anymore I swear. Into the trap ya go lil cute thing.
A good trapper is scary, I think people see a lot of newer people play him so they think they're getting an easy game. I do think he's weak but he is massively under utilised
-
I don't think there's any reason to leave if you know the survivors aren't on gens. If they're not pressuring you why chase them ? If there's two hovering around the hook you can force a trade if not you keep 3 /4 busy. Now if you know all 3 are the other side of the map you're just throwing by camping.
-
Making kindred base and a totem counter is a start. If the counter is too much maybe a noise like a ping that only survivors can hear. So if they're paying attention then can count. Seeing other people perks before loading in would help too. Always having an obsession regardless of perks too
-
@Mooks said:
No word on it yet.
you either have to play more M1 or slug more and let them heal up I guess? I know it’s still annoying..
Wouldn't mind if I had any useful perks.
-
The blight
-
The slow changes, new killers and perks are being added every few months but killers like trapper have had little updates. Same goes for most perks very little changes look at up the ante, sole survivor, left behind and plenty others. I would like them to just buff perks I'm mass. If they're too strong bring them back down but update the game.
-
Maps when I play trapper, normally I would just switch killer but you can't do that anymore. Once when all 4 survivors had a key. I can deal with one but 4 is too much
-
It's been since the old ruin nerf, it's easy to rank up at survivor now, I'm no survivor main but after the nerf I was hitting rank one in a few games where before it took effort. I also thing ruin and undying turns people in to morons
-
I tend to work my way around a challenge I'm not keen on then just hit it at the end. If you're no good with Billy then this challenge is the perfect time to practice him. He's a fun killers with a little bit of a learning curve
-
Walk the other way 😉
-
You can get the down in half the time, it's the fact anytime they waste healing is removed. Removing healing is what hurts her not the chase. The red goo is affected poorly by dedicated servers too. She's not a bad killer but you have to be very good and a little lucky.
-
We're all guilty of this. I though the undying ruin tinker combo was overwhelming as survivor, but playing killer you just see how rng can mess with you
-
Spin chill is fine if you suspect it you can play around it
-
The badham ones in the school are good. The school is a death trap if you don't break them. Breaking them means you can get around easier but so can the survivors. The ones on the corners of midwitch works the same. I like the idea that you can weigh up the cost of breaking them. Where I don't know one on dead dog saloon that shouldn't be broke
-
Do gens if he's camping 3 people can just do gens for free

Yeah, and DS users can jump into a locker. What's your point?
If the killer camped (even a stealth killer), they aren't going to touch a gen, or a totem, or be fully healed; and killers are actively punished point-wise for camping. You are grossly overestimating the amount of people who hard camp.
My point is you want this survivor perk that the killer can abuse. If you start healing under the hook and the killer comes back, billy blight or nurse for example they can see your DS is deactivated and tunnel you. Tbh if they just made grabs not active it, there would be more counter play. That way lockers won't work and there's a chance you could grap at a window or hook

I've got over 4k hours in DBD. More than half of it survivor. Playing killer doesn't stop me from knowing which way the wind blows. Excellent job making a bold assumption, and falling flat on your face.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1651443#Comment_1651443
Making it so it disables when the survivors touches a gen, gets fully healed, heals someone else, touches a totem, or another survivor is hooked can be abused? How so? This is 90% controlled by the survivor with DS. If any of these things happen, it's literally impossible that they are being tunneled.
You could camp as a stealth killer or return to the hook. It's hard to balance around this

It wasn't Scott's video that made it PGTW vs. DS. It was @Almo's answer to why PGTW is getting nerfed, and him alone. Scott's video had very little to do with it.

This was 100% Almo - and he knows he screwed up because he hasn't had jack to say since he made this brilliant blunder.

Statistical data needed - cause 90% of the time when I get hit with DS, it's after I've chased and hooked 1 to 2 other people. Which is the situation I see most on streamers ends as well. Speak for yourself, not for everyone. Provide statistical data or retract.
If you only play killer you only have your games to decide. The more I play survivor the more obvious a lot of killers tunnel

From not-tunneling killers point of view, DS is used 100% of the time when some shithead protected by it go for unhook or repair gen in front of your face. So it feels cheep in every situation.
Noone asks to remove anti-tunneling feature from DS, just make it non abusable.
That's why you slug, I agree it can be abused but any real suggestion to change it can be abused
-
Let's be honest 90% of the time DS is used it's when the killer tunnels off hook, while in some situations it's feels cheap, the threat of the perk alone has made solo survivor more playable. The pop nerf wont change a thing, you can kick any gen on the map if needed.
-
I think instead of nerfing it give more anti totem perks to survivors

DS, BT, DH/SB for survivors
With Undying, the killer meta has shifted. Why not the same boring survivor meta?
Change it yourself I've not used those perks in ages. The threat of DS and borrowed means few killers risk it.

That's fair, if you know me, I'm a huge advocate for DS. I Love DS but...you're right.
"Too Lenient" but DS doesn't get touched? Pop went Meta after their awful decision on the Ruin Nerf and they're messing with it again?
That's unfair to killers. I agree.

They're the same, in a way. They both halt Objective Progression.
Again, they're the same, in a way.
Pop is the best killer perk and still will be, the extra 15 seconds was nice to have but overall youll get just as much use out of it.

imagine thinking i should be stunned after ive hooked 2 other people and find the survivor on a gen and they jump into a locker. See what i did there? :)
Yes but 90% of the time I see DS work it's when the killer tunnels off hook. While it can be a bit strong , if you're downing the person of hook straight away isn't that the point of the perk ? Also if you've had 3 hooks I'm a minute you're doing fine DS won't matter

Honestly it feels really balanced just where it's at. If we hypothetically didn't have any of the second chance or Exhaustion perks in the game I think it would make it into the meta.
It feels like it's missing something, I am using it atm, maybe I just want more totem perks for survivor
