Playing both sides is the only way to be reliably good at the game. More people should try to understand the other side
-
Lighborn does its job very well however it's so niche it's not worth a slot
-
Even if it was it wouldn't get used, blood trails are unreliable at best

Its meh. In general things like thrilling tremors is better because theres no counter, thats not to say bbq isnt useful but since most killers run it most survivors know to counter it. If i wasnt grinding so much id pick other perks over it. Like im all ears, thrilling tremors, survellance, whispers
It has a counter, let go of the gen

They can have ruin, downing someone after a long chase then some one runs in and instantly heals them to full health for you to start again was mad. The nurse needed the skill raising. Balanced just means silly loops cant be exploited

Mindgames with gens as cancelling the break allows you to instead chase that survivor who may be hiding to jump back on it or go after another you see. It just gives you choices.
Pallets are different as a lot can lengthen a loop and allow more time to be wasted from it. If the same could be done for pallets in most cases it would be detrimental as you are just leaving the loop intact so they jusy get more uses out of it and most competent survivors will stay on the other side out of hit range to waste your time. So at Unsafe loops which are mindgamable this would give them more time to leave the loop area and at safe loops its not worth it.
I dont think I've ever half kicked a gen extra mind games at pallets could be interesting though

Almost no one plays Demogorgon, or at least on console. The only people I've seen play him are people just wanting to try out his cosmetics. And they're usually just green and brown ranks.
He is a defensive killer a 3 or 4 gen strat. Can win you most games. Even if you dont hit them with shred very few killers can force survivors to ignore pallets or vault in fear of being hit. His portal can track too sitting one on a gen forces them to destroy it wasting time. Hes no means top tier but under utilized like the hag

I agree, I feel like we're arguing for the same thing, devs don't have killers because survivors have also had nerfs, right? lol I think we're essentially just agreeing with each other but in different ways lmao
Sorry I must of miss read it yeah it's good for everyone to feel the pain of the other side once in a while

I feel they have some relevance due to the fact that because killers have received 3 nerfs (Nurse, Spirit & Ruin) they act as if survivors have never been nerfed.
Survivors have had nerfs too. Survivor doesn't equal win

Well is ironic ot have respect for survivors for that suffering as it is kinda the complaining of survivors that caused the situation of nobody wanting to play killer anymore so survivors are stuck with long loading times.
Kinda what happens if you actively try to weaken the opposition, the opposition will simple stop playing (that side) all together.
While the ruin nerf was painful not every game is a 4 man death squad, killer is a lot easier compared to 2/3 years ago

You must be new because this game used to have literal infinites, literal instant gens, literal instant heals, literal permanent sabotage, way more pallets, double pallets on every loop.
The game hasn't gotten harder, killer players just aren't as good as they used to be.
I'm in no way new this isnt me saying killers have it easy, just I see the frustration of playing survivor. All of those things are no longer relevant I think the game is the most balanced it's ever been.

SWF makes it a LOT easier, just sayin
I normally queue with 1 or 2 others but the queue times are painful

Nope im not a pro 360 juke survivor lol. So with other killers you win some you lose some. Its just boring facing the same 3 killers over and over. (I blackpip each time so its pretty much for nothing).
Freddy Billy and sprit are either easy , strong or both. Personally I play all killers but billy and nurse but most people struggle with the weaker killers. Killers want that 4k and if they dont get it every game they see it as a loss. Both sides need to accept you win lose some times and everyone will have a better time

At least for me these past 20 games has either been ghostface freddy or spirit. (all the rank 1s ive faced are literally freddy). i got 1 billy and honestly id take that because thats funner then these 3.
What happens when you get a different killer ? Do you trash them. ?
-
The weakness of DS is if they hit it with you after the first hook you can tunnel for free after the second.
-
Would you agree that DS should work on end game because that's a free escape
-
They can do that but they'll create a dead zone perfect for a 3 gen while its annoying pallets are safety for survivors if you wipe half them out what can they do?

Azarov’s is quite literally the most killer sided map in the game. All you have to do is hook a survivor and stay on that side of the map and force all survivors to come to the chokepoint. Getting a 3 gen is so easy on that map. It’s weak as hell for survivor.
Coal Tower is the most balanced map in the game. The main structure is strong but not absurdly powerful. Your average jungle gyms/T-walls and some dead zones. Best part is that it is SMALL and all killers can reach their fullest potential without being dragged down by a gigantic map.
Azarov , sanctum of wrath and suffocation can both be killer and survivor sided if the killer doesn't get a 3 gen they can lose easy. But with the lack of strong loops and only a few pallets I'm happy with these maps as a killer.
-
While the larger maps are a problem, it's the main building on most maps that are the strongest. Look at coal tower, a small map but that building has a really strong loop that can't be stopped same with most of McMillan maps , I assume the breakable walls will fix this on a good chunk of maps.
-
A more recent one is mettle of man it killed m1 killers, not that I agree with its current state

I agree movement speed is a key factor. But you can always drop the tablet! It just disappears when you do. So grab it and see if you can hang with a stronger killer. If not. Drop the BP's and carry on smartly. One tablet drop per survivor.
I was thinking it would be more like a charm not an item. When the halloween event was out two years ago survivors had the plants and that made the games last s lot longer I was hoping this would do the same

I like this. Kinda counters all that math of my new Ruin. Though I HOPE they don't get bored. By slowing the beginning of the game if simply adds more pressure to them. As they can't pop off a gen so fast, there's more chance of the killer walking up on them.
What are some more ideas about alternative objectives? Perhaps things that make the game easier for the killer but reward bloodpoints and are completely optional. This way there is something more to DO. But it doesn't REALLY effect the game difficulty unless you want it to. Like the tablets above? Each player carrying a tablet increases killer movement speed by 1% but gives a % more BP at the end if they are holding it (dead or not).
Bloodpoints drive players I think giving survivors things that give them more is always good for killer. You have to be careful with movement speed too much and killers would be op. I play a lot of killer but when I play survivor I want more interaction. So while gen speed is too fast decreasing this would be a boring fix

Bizarre to me that they've removed/nerfed a lot of the non-Ruin possibilities for slowdown. Legion Frenzy no longer applies Sloppy, for example. Thanatophobia is not terribly helpful even with four stacks. Pig hats are treated by survivors mostly like annoying cosmetics. Dying Light is not helpful - if you're hooking enough that it has an effect, you don't even need it. Freddy's slowdown got nerfed before Ruin itself.
Seems like there are so many opportunities to slow the game down just a little bit, but they're either ignored or nerfed or simply removed. But they're right there.
The problem is if you slow the survivors down they get bored. One big problem is the size of the maps the smaller maps arent too bad. You need to give the survivors more to do as an option that doesnt make it impossible for them to win.
-
One change I did think of was to remove totems and replace them with buried tablets. So you would have say 20 mounds of dirt that can be searched and 5 will have tablets. It would be a 1 in 4 that you have a tablet but the mounds need to be easy to see So you would have a search time for the dirt then if there was a tablet you would then have to cleanse. Maybe you take the tablet and get bloodpoints for escaping with it for both dull and hex.but this would give the survivors something to search for and buff hex totems in general. Obviously some other perks like small game and detectives hunch would need to be changed but it may extend the length of the game with out making gens more boring
-
I play a lot of killer and some survivor so I know what it's like to be tunneled and camped. I play as fair as the game let's me. So if I'm being trashed I play to win. If I'm trashing the survivors I might slug instead of hook or just ignore a survivor to be fair.
-
One of my favourite ways to slow it down is to injury as many as possible with sloppy.good survivors maybe just not heal but that half chases in the future. We can discuss changes but behaviour will just change ( or not change) what they want
-
It would depend on the game, while camping would be effective you would lose points still and is quite boring. I understand if one gens left and all 4 are alive but early game it's more fun to go for a 3rd person. That way no one can be on a gen. But camping 2 people is fine dont worry about it.

That's what im talking about! Finally someone else who isn't afraid to say they tunnel. Tunneling is the way to go. Maximum efficiency. Get em outta there quick like it's my day job
While tunneling is the best way to win, with borrowed time and DS it can hurt you sometimes. Slugging creates the same pressure as hooking so I much prefer that
-
I would recommend sloppy butcher on most killers. While high ranks may just not heal and some perks do counter it, you'll find people will self care everytime. To self care after being hit by sloppy butcher take 40 seconds or half a gen. It may not make chases shorter but it might give you more time
