Honestly? This.
If you're playing this game because you want to have fun, complete objectives, or just keep in practice for the next set of rift objectives, then yeah. You're not gonna read as toxic.
But when you say stuff like this
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1435597#Comment_1435597
That suggests to me that you really just thrive off of trying to ruin the game for others. You don't like being called toxic? When you admit to actively trying to make the game less fun for others because you want to win above all else, like how are you surprised nobody ingame likes playing with you?
Like, closing the hatch doesn't sound toxic to me, that ######### is funny af tbh, but tunneling isn't even fun killer-side either. It's the most boring way to play killer. Idk what you're expecting from this thread, really. Validation? You wanna play in a way that makes people dislike you and you don't care about people AT ALL, yaaaay? Other players are AI you don't care about? YaaYyY!
First off, I'm not trying to "validate myself" I'm putting my thoughts out there. Secondly, when I say ai, I mean I don't care if you rage at me for trying to win. I probably should have worded that better.

I think I can safely say that Stranger Things has a much wider fan base than FNaF. The cast is young but I don't think the intended audience is children. On the other hand I've never heard an adult talk about FNaF other than perhaps mentioning their child plays it in the same sentence.
The target audience for fnaf is young adults, hence why you don't see many older adults talking about it.

Even though I always try to not be a complete jerk - no intentional camping, no letting people bleed out, stuff like that - survivors still complain all the time. There's no making them happy, so don't bother.
The bottom line is that it's not your responsibility to be the custodian of their feelings. They don't give a crap what you think - they're not going to stop doing gens, or not use the strongest loop they can, or not run the perks they want, or anything else - so why is the killer always expected to babysit them?
I agree. People in this game are nothing more than ai with loud mouths to me.

I think we should send you to the ranch.

Its about switching targets while in chase, so youre chasing someone and you know someones on that gen 5 meters away you can quickly switch targets and they might not know youre coming. Plus it changes obsessions so it has some synergy with other obsession perks.
Ohhh...

If you want to play with your friend, try queing up at the same time at night.

It's because us killer mains don't have many crutch perks, and when we do use them, we get harrased. It's just annoying survivors have so many, and I think that's why.

these perks could be added as common perks or you could have the perks for a certain killer for one of their three teachable's also i'm going to organize the perks form the most op to the weakest or meme perks so here's my strongest idea
(insert perk name here)
your powerful attacks cause survivors to be physically disabled for a short time after a survivor get hit with a basic attack they are unable to to vault for 1/2/3 seconds and gain the status effect (insert status effect name here) for 30 seconds any survivor effected by this status effect will become hindered when vaulting a window or pallet for 30 seconds
"run as fast as you can but it won't matter i'll get you eventually" -unknown (or what ever killer you want it to be)
unrelenting (rework perk idea)
you have a base 30% cool-down for missed attacks after every missed attack within a 5 meter range of a survivor get a token up to a max of 6 each earned token gives an additional 5% cool-down to your missed attacks hitting a survivor will cause you to lose 6 stacks if you have max stack get a 5% movement speed buff after a miss attack for 5 seconds if you continue to miss
"the more these monsters miss the more desperate they become to fuel their blood-lust" -notebook signed by Vigo
(insert perk name here)
at the beginning of the game become undetectable for 120 seconds
after a gen is complete make your terror radius 8 meters smaller for 10 seconds
(insert perk name here)
all survivors that look in your direction for 10 seconds makes your FOV and terror radius bigger
"why because i wanted to" -unknown
tunnel vision
after getting pallet stunned move 15% faster and have your FOV reduced by 50% for 60 seconds
tunnel vision has a cool-down of 120 seconds
"i want your head and only yours no matter what it cost me" -unknown
I like the last one, especially paired with monitor, mhmm.

I've heard the idea tossed around for about as long as I've been playing DBD. Typically as a joke. But the last couple of weeks the hype for a Five Nights at Freddy's chapter has been getting pretty intense. My 11 year old son won't shut up about it. Which tells me he's been watching some youtube videos of people talking about it. WHY? Why all the sudden does this seem to be such a hot topic? Is it because of the Clown elephant and Legion bunny costumes that people seem to think this is the direction the game is going and now FNaF is a real possibility? I deeply, truly, passionately do not want FNaF in this game. Am I alone in this? I would love to hear from the Devs stating that it will never happen so the topic can be dropped.
I'm assuming you just see FNaF as a jumpscare fest. And to a certain degree, that is correct. For the older games. The more recent media is not jumpscare laden and in fact is much more scary than it was. You could also argue that Stranger Things is geared towards children, but that is in the game. FNaF has extended past games with books and other things. People don't want spring trap in the game because he is a walking talking ooga booga man, it's because he was a serial child killer stuck in a rotten mascot suit. The idea of springtrap is that what drives people in. I would love a FNaF chapter.

I still think that it'd be too much of a giveaway to which killer you're versing. Maybe if it was a separate cosmetic option, just like Head, Body or Weapon then sure. Just not a default thing.
This actually sounds really cool.

Yes. Part of playing a stealth killer is that the survivors don't know that I am one initially, or where I'm coming from. If you tell them instantly just by showing them a hook, then there goes a huge part of my early game. There is that allure of the early game of them not knowing who or where you are, and it's also the scariest part of DbD for me, and as soon as I know who the killer is, I've already formulated how I'm going to adapt my gameplay in order to survive more effectively. The longer that I don't know who the killer is, the more paranoid I get and the more likely I am to make a mistake.
And for someone who's been around for about two years, and loves horror with an almost unnatural passion, that's saying something about the power of a killer's stealth ability.
Just subtle changes that you wouldn't notice without paying attention. Change LF hook to a meat hook. Stuff like that.
-
As someone who mains killer, I only camp for revenge. Teabag, click click, abusing game mechanics and bragging? You're getting sent to the gulag and never coming out buddy.

I don't know if the locker part would be any good tbh, you'd never catch good survivors with it if I understand that correctly... it's nice to see others concepts nonetheless. I've been thinking of a mechanic where he deals debuffs to the survivors, just like what the Phantoms did in FNaF 3, I don't know how you could add in jumpscares with them looking kind of silly, Doctor already has them.
But I don't understand the obsession with the name 'The Attraction', I mean yeah, it fits the animatronic but not the character overall. Something like 'The Forgotten' or something in that direction would fit was more as it fits with the characters lore and background.
People call him that because he IS an attraction. He was found in a wall and supposed to be a normal animatronic.

Nah, thats lame. I mean. Not a fan of charms. I mean is the pole made of bone or metal? What color is it. What does the hook look like. Is it serated or chiseled with anythong? What color is it? Is there anything going around the pole/hook like vines or blood vessels? Maybe flesh? Theres a stupid amount of opportunity here to customize hooks, basement and items with cosmetics that are bought/earned znd its being missed
Oh, that sounds awesome!

That's only if you've never gone against that killer before.
I don't think so, cause I've fought killers before and it tells me anyway.

The loading screen already tells you the killer.

They used to have this, but changed it because you could tell who the killer is instantly, which is particularly hurtful for stealth killers.
The Game already tells you which killer you are facing in the loading screen.

I think the joke is on you. Since your addons gone, your game thrown. In the end you give the toxic person exactly what he wanted, a tilted killer.
Or do you enjoy facecamping somebody on a hook? Seen it, done it for the lulz but it is one of the most boring things to do in dbd.

imo I love body blocking except at end game when it makes me lose or when I had to walk far but if not I love it free injure and I get flash saves are annoying to but so easy to counter and you shouldn't care about those like only camp or tunnel flash clickera because savers are just so dumb and predictable I do flash saves if I can but walls and baits are my weakness so yeah flashlights are not THAT bad nor bodyblocking I guess what im trying to say. Is if it gets to the point where its uncounterable and just everyone doing it and its ruininf the game ruin it back but if its light and not game changing ignore it
I do Agree

My opinion is somewhat different.
You argue there’s no benefit of sending one to a cage. I disagree. You can send a survivor to a cage to counter the oh so terrible DS that has a timer so huge you can hook all other 3 opponents, and the player can still hit it on ya. Or maybe you have 2 survivors closeby, after downing one you can send them to the cage and be right on the other survivor’s butt. This is better than wasting time hooking and letting the 2nd gain much distance or get positioned on a strong tile, and also better than just slugging one and chasing the other so a teammate can pick up the 1st.
As for his minor ranged attack, I do think it should cause ‘Tormented’. The power is very situational and (let’s all be perfectly honest) EXTREMELY easy to avoid/evade as a survivor.
I do agree, but those situations are, well, situational. I'm talking about what you will normally be doing.
