  • If you face a bully squad that is toxic in that they have no intention of doing gens then the last thing you want to do is play into their hands.

Don't dc and incur a penalty just face a wall and wait for the next game.

Nothing frustrates a toxic bully squad more than not being able to bully a new or inexperienced killer.

Do something else and they'll soon get bored and finish the game.

Good survivors you can learn from but until you're experienced don't entertain these pathetic childish toxic survivors.

    Good luck

  • Yeah on console I sometimes struggle to get second hit as survivors dissappear into the darkness whilst I recover from first hit.

And hooks can be hard to find.

But on the whole I enjoyed the change.

I tried different killers and found chucky and ghostface the best.

Chucky because he's small and ghostface because you can expose survivors from a distance as you can see the gen and survivors can't see you.

It's not the best sure but fair play to devs for introducing something new.

  • Stop caring about survivors fun. The vast majority don't care about your fun as killer.

I play for hooks rather than kills and don't go anywhere near the exit gate and as ps5 player don't have to suffer immature pathetic toxic chat.

Play how you want. It's your game.

  • Chucky and ghostface

    Both fun to play

  • Like the mode but survivors playing as Claudette in dark clothing

    Really!?

  • I couldn't hit an elephant at 2 yards trying to learn huntress. Now I can hit said elephant from 5 yards. 😀

Practice practice practice with your new killer and don't care about winning or losing.

    Good luck.

  • I killer main and if its obvious I'm playing new players I let them win and lead them to pallets so they can drop them on me. Although if they are really new it can take a few hits of the pallet to get them to understand what they should do.

I agree with your points and that's why I try to help where I can but unfortunately too many killers and survivors think it's okay to bully a new player and talk pathetic childish toxic trash after the game. Way to go to encourage new players.

Everyone was new at some point so help where you can.

    Good post

  • Blah blah blah

I don't want to play against Spirit.

I don't want to play against Nurse.

I don't want to play against Blight.

I don't want to play against Wesker.

I don't want to play against Chucky.

    Enough already.

I don't play any of those killers (apart from thd odd game with Chucky) but even I'm sick and tired of entitled survivors expecting easy games and if not start screaming for nerfs.

    It's a video game.

    A game.

    Pixels on a screen.

Get over it or do something else if you're that upset over a game.

I've been playing games since the original ZX Spectrum and I've never seen so much moaning about a game than dbd.

Everyone, including myself, is allowed to moan but it seems to be the same thing over and over from both sides and it's getting very tedious.

Game not going well and lose then so be it and on to the next game.

Who cares if you win or lose?

    Nobody.

There's no reward for winning. No money, no medal, no pat on the back and the press aren't outside looking for your picture so take the loss and move on.

  • T-bag at first pallet. I will do everything in my power to make sure you don't finish the game with an escape.

  • I miss the old friendship you could have with survivors. Pretending to serve drinks in the saloon and survivors queuing up to get a drink.

Now if you try that you get t-bags and flashlights.

Toxic behaviour has taken a good game and flushed it down the toilet.

  • Stand in a corner or facing a wall if you're being bullied and don't want to play

Trust me they will get bored very quickly when they can't bully you and aren't getting chased.

Although they will pallet vault and locker open for a few minutes in a sad pathetic attempt to get you to chase them.

  • I don't play survivor but it would be fun to see how bad I was.

Never made sense that you can practice as a killer but not as a survivor. Surely this would help new players.

  • 100% agree fix and provide new maps rather than constantly bringing in more killers/survivors.

They won't because that's where the money comes in.

Plus the devs really need to play all maps as killer and survivor to see the issues both sides have.

It's all very well us stating the issues but they need to see it in actual game play to understand it before they can actually fix it.

    Maybe one day.

  • I had a flashlight clicker following me around click click clicking in an effort to get me to chase them.

Sad thing for them was I was running lightborn so flashlight was useless to them but they clicked and clicked and clicked some more.

Waited around corner and got a lovely free hit sending them running.

    Always ignore them.

Like the posts said before they are only hurting their team mates.

  • Don't forget the gen regression nerf.

It got so bad they had to buff pop.

Not every killer is good and not every person playing killer is good but some (not all) survivors lose to a good killer/player and start screaming for nerfs to everything.

Some games suck for both sides.

Some nerfs are justified but asking for constant killer nerfs because you feel survivors are not getting good perks is nonsense.

I don't but if a killer wants to win then they will tunnel and camp due to gen repair speed.

Any survivor can do a gen but not all killers can gen defence other than survivors letting them 3 gen.

Until devs use hooks to determine the actual killer win rate then things will stay the same.

Using kills as a benchmark is so far removed from the reality that it's laughable.

Survivors kill themselves on hook. Killer camps and tunnel.

It creates a false positive when devs look at stats for killer v survivor and benefits neither.

  • Same last night. 4k was on the cards but I let then all escape as they were obviously new - dropping pallets on the wrong side and blowing up every gen.

The next game was 4 clowns who obviously had no intention of playing other than to torment the killer and all with 2nd chance perks and boil over with flip flop for good measure.

Left them to it after it became obvious what they were doing and had my dinner.

Good idea to use a break in between games if mmr jumps above your comfort level

  • NWTH works on characters where it was already loaded pre kill switch. Only at yellow level and doesn't show up in after match score sheet.

I have it on several killers and all work fine albeit at base level.

  • "So now I’m put with potatoes, and lemmings."

Great comment. Way to go to encourage new players.

    You were new once yourself.

If you can't offer anything constructive don't say anything.

Insults to new and learning players are pathetic and childish.

It's just a game and everyone starts somewhere.

  • Happy New year to one and all and try to make 2024 the year we finally see a lot less toxic behaviour/comments.

    Remember it's just a game.

    Best wishes and good health.

  • I play clown for fun.

Games range from zero hooks to 4k.

But he's fun and that's all that matters to me.

I don't care about winning, loops or map pressure that's for try-hards.

Chill to play and I keep my swear words for cod jumping around corner idiots.

Have a great holiday season break.

  • Same old same old.

I want to play against a perkless trapper.and pick pretty flowers.

Stop asking for nerfs to killers or you'll be facing Blight, Nurse, Wesker, Spirit and Chucky over and over and over again.

  • Cheers and best wishes to you and yours for 2024.

  • I don't go anywhere near the exit gate when opened.

I cant handle the skill set of survivors who want you to approach to instantly leave or take a hit and leave.

I mean I can't possibly deal with that skill level as killer.

Seriously, don't go to the gate and let the sad little individuals waste their time hoping you'll turn up for some toxic behaviour.

  • Not going to make much difference to console players

  • Just play chill.

What do you get for a sweaty 4k?

    Nothing. Absolutely zero.

No medals or pats on the back. Just toxic comments from entitled survivors who hate to lose.

And then it's on to the next game so the previous game you stressed over means nothing.

I played clown with 9 hooks. I had fun, the 3 survivors had fun because they escaped with death hook looming large.

The survivor that died to a 3 hook may or may not have had fun before dying.

But 4 out of 5 having fun is pretty good all round.

And not a drop of sweat and no stress

  • Are survivors never happy unless it's a perkless trapper?

    I'm fed up seeing Blight.

    I'm fed up seeing Nurse

    I'm fed up seeing Wesker.

    I'm fed up seeing Spirit.

Get over yourself and play something else if you're not happy.

He's new and people paid good money for him and are entitled to play him just like you can pick the survivor of your choice.

  • It's got to be a joke otherwise it's pathetic.

The word drag is not offensive to anybody.

    Stop trying to woke everything.

  • With 4 players running deja vu every single game then I can assure you gens are getting done faster.

I don't tunnel but I can see the attraction and benefit.

Take a recent clown game. 9 hooks 3 survivors escaped. Playing 'fair' is never ideal if you want to win.

For me the 9 hooks was more fun than going for the win but some people just can't help themselves and freak out if they don't win.

  • If you run into a corner with boil over in any map and there is no nearby hooks then damm right I'll slug you.

You chose to go there. Accept the consequences.

  • Play for fun and hooks not the win you'll enjoy it more.

Just about every single game I'm seeing deja vu and brand new part so gens are flying.

So if I win great and if I don't who cares?

Play fun killers and don't go near the exit gate at end game.

It's hilarious when they do fast vaults or jump in and out lockers in a desperate pathetic attempt to get you to chase them so they can t-bag and run out.

  • He looks fun and that's exactly the type of killer I play - clown trickster huntress deathslinger ghost face.

Not overly strong but fun and isn't a game supposed to be fun?

Yeah I know there are toxic and sweats but that's their issue.

I don't care if everyone escapes I play for hooks and fun so can't wait for chucky.

  • Yes definitely a welcome return. Always liked the map and after missing out the last time i finally got a chance to get old demogorgon.

  • I learned long ago to just have fun. Going for the win can be a miserable experience against good survivors with certain perks. Even a competent survivor can do a gen quickly (seeing deja vu every single game).

I play fun killers like clown, huntress, ghost face and the odd Knight or deathslinger.

Playing for hooks is much more fun and if all survivors escape who cares?

On a side note I love trickster who I have at my highest rank of P12. I love playing him but on console he's pretty rubbish and I love the intended buff to his speed and no recoil will be amazing.

But even without it I just enjoy playing him.

So yes I play a lot of range killers but I play for fun and the odd wow that was some distance hit moment.

I also wheeled dredge out of storage last night and forgot he's pretty fun too.

But as I said play for hooks and fun not the win and I enjoy the game way more than I used to.

  • Killers are clown huntress trickster and Knight because they're fun - don't care about winning and don't do add-ons because I can't be bothered reading what they do.

Don't play survivor that's too boring

  • Don't particularly like it with no real explanation of what you need to do to complete some of the tasks.

How about an explanation box devs?

I spent my first couple of games wandering around and didn't have a clue what I was supposed to do or why the void appeared to open randomly - I know that's not the case now but didn't at time.

Terrible toxic survivors in every game with horrible map offerings that are survivor sided.

And is there a sale on flashlights?

I've seen more flashlights than in a B&Q warehouse.

I usually let survivors do their thing as the event should be fun and everyone leaves happy.

Pity some survivors want to make the game awful for killer and I'm sure the same is the other way round with toxic killers

  • I learned that not caring about winning works for me.

More fun getting hooks than going for a win.

Zero k or four k it really doesn't mean a lot at the end of the day.

Sweat it and lose that's not fun. Chill and lose who cares?

  • When are we going to see a post that a survivor doesn't ask for a,killer to be nerfd?

    But Dredge? Really?

    It's Blight. It's nurse. It's spirit. It's wesker. It's skull merchant. It's alien. It's Knight.

    Nerf nerf nerf.

What do you want a gen repair simulation game?

  • Skill issue.

    Always the same response.

Some people are new, some people enjoy a casual game, some people havs sight and hearing issues and a lot of people have a life.

If you're so good, so brilliant, so skilled at the game then you're the person that needs to play something else instead of playing countless hours on a game and calling out other people that actually go outside their bedroom.

Skill issue is nothing other than a toxic comment.

  • Fair play to anyone who wants to be P100 but I have neither the time or inclination to do so.

I really can't see the appeal of spending all you BP on one character.

As I play killer I'd rather spend my BP on getting all killers to level 3 so all perks are playable at level 3 on every other killer.

  • I love getting followed and leading them on a lovely long walk. The longer the walk the more desperate they get to get you to interact with you.

It's hilarious especially standing at a top floor window when they can't do anything in front or behind.

Amazing how quickly they become bored of locker spamming or pallet vaults behind you.

Game ends with no hooks or kills I don't care. I just love that the survivor who sets out to bully the killer had no joy out of their toxic build and wasted add-ons.

  • Play how you want. It's your game/fun not theirs.

You'll get games no matter how you play, who you play and what you bring perk/add-on wise that people are just toxic.

I play no add-ons on my killers like trickster, huntress and clown as I like the distance hit challenge. All 4 escape who cares.

The only exception is a t-bag at the first pallet. I will hunt you down for the entire game because you are obviously so good at the game I need to get rid of you. Imagine the skill required to run to the first pallet you see and drop it. Well deserving of a t-bag.

    Wow just wow.

  • I've been playing no ad-on clown and having great fun. I love his laugh.

Who cares about winning or losing?

    I play for hooks.

I couldn't care less if everyone escapes there's always the next match.

And I don't go near exit gate when opened and play on ps5 so if that's any survivor's mindset you can keep your end game toxic behaviour/comments as I ain't going to see/read it 😄

  • Haven't played in days.

I killer main and games are either bully squad or 4k (due to dc or first hook suicide) neither of which are enjoyable.

I play for hooks and fun chases with weaker killers like clown or trickster.

Couldn't care less about kills and don't run any add-ons at all on any killer mainly because I can't be bothered reading what they do nor have any inclination to do so.

The casual game has ceased to exist.

Gone are the days the game was fun with pretending to tend the bar in the saloon or standing at the till in autohaven with the survivors queuing up to get "served".

Now it's t-bags and flashlights if you try to have a little laugh.

The level of toxic play has multiplied in recent times and I think it's boredom especially on the survivor side - do gens escape repeat and repeat.

The game needs a complete overhaul imo.

  • Killers with no map coverage would have to waste so much time looking for gens (especially on large maps) and with no regression perks it would make stopping just 4 gens being repaired very difficult especially with survivors running gen repair perks.

Appreciate your suggestion to make the game better but I don't think that would work.

That's just my opinion not a toxic comment in any shape or form so please don't treat it as such especially as other players might like your idea.

  • I stopped reading the forum for a while after alien chapter release.

EVERY single new killer is op. Perks are op. Add-ons are op.

    Enough already.

Constantly asking for killer nerfs is killing the game.

Some survivors want a gen repair sim. Don't hit me Mr Killer I'll get upset.

Incidentally I have only played Xeno a few times and I struggle to get kills let alone win the game. But in my second game 2 survivors saw who killer was and AFKd. They would have escaped easily but instead threw the rattle out the pram.

As for the post saying only baby Xeno's get burnt out of their power, news flash some people actually have a life.

  • Why would anyone care?

    Call it whatever you like.

It's pixels in a video game for goodness sake.

Yeah, it was a lot more fun when people were able to just goof around with random perks and killers.

Don’t get me started on how much fun it was to goof around with survivors and take a break from the chases to do random stuff. I vividly remember running the bar as a killer on Ormond and having all 4 survivors coming over to grab a drink rather than rush gens. I know it’s not a part of the game but it used to be so fun when it was stress free.

Ah the days of serving drinks at dead dawg saloon.

Now if you try that instead of fun you get t-bags and flashlights.

Survivors are just so toxic which I blame on the boring and repetitive game play of gen simulator.

  • If they go into the main building towards the end then I'll chase them but otherwise no. It's a total waste of time and one gen means nothing compared to two or three elsewhere
