  • Normally I take a,survivor to hatch if it's obvious they're new.

    Same at the exit gates.

In fact one survivor was so new that as the last player alive it hit her and carried her to hatch.

Held on so she could wiggle free but instead of jumping in hatch she ran away and died to timer.

But no wouldn't take them to hatch just to kill them as that would make me as pathetic as the gate t-bags or the continously vaulting a pallet or opening a locker in a sad attempt to lure me over and then escape.

    That's wasting your time.

  • Love trickster.

Don't play him as much as I used to and definitely harder to play on console. But still one of my favourite killers when not caring about playing for a win.

As for his name? Nothing wrong with it. It's like saying you can't call her nurse as she's not healing anybody.

  • Lightborn

    Waste of a perk?

Maybe but I never leave home without it.

I love flashlight bully squads not being able to use flashlights in a toxic way.

I can't really comment on the nerf as I don't play survivor but I haven't really seen any issues other than that ridiculous ability to blind killer in a locked animation of pulling someone out of a locker.

That said no issues with flashlights. Use or don't use. Personal preference it's your game.

  • The hooks need to counter gen progression.

Survivors brought the slugging meta on themselves with the constant whining and crying over gen regression perks until they were nerfd into oblivion.

There is zero benefit to the killer by hooking and slugging nullifies a lot of survivor perks and second chance off hook.

I prefer playing for hooks but in it's current state hooks give survivors more benefits than killer.

That's if you even get the hook with the multiple ways survivor can prevent you reaching the hook and or sabotage it.

    Make hooks count for something!

  • I usually play the same 10 or so killers as a good few are awful to play on console.

This is definitely a time decision. If I'm only playing 30 minutes or so most times I don't want that to be 30 minutes of misery.

If I've got time then I'll invest it learning a new killer like I diid with huntress. Couldn't hit a cow at 5 feet before I practiced her. Now I can hit said cow at 8 feet 🤣

But the daily challenges normally let me play a killer I don't ever use - I'm looking at you nurse and blight.

  • Got a 4k last night as the dark map definitely helps trapper but no I've never really liked the map.

  • No no and trice no.

    Haven't played it at all.

The wait times are ridiculous especially for killer.

Put it on last night just to see.

Managed to shave and then look my clothes out for work and still hadn't found a match.

Changed to a game I could actually play.

    Get rid of it.

  • Slugging is the new meta for killer - no matter how you go about it.

Hooking a survivor, assuming you actually make the hook in the first place, does nothing for the killer and actually can activate some strong perks for survivors.

Slugging nullifies so many survivor perks and body blocks, pallet saves, flashlight saves etc that there is almost zero reason to go for 12 hooks versus 5 gens.

Unfortunately, survivors brought this on themselves with the constant moaning about gen regression perks.

Gen regression is almost non-existent so survivors reap what you sow.

Until hooks actually benefit the killer slugging will continue.

  • I don't have or have any intention of getting mouse and keyboard just for dbd.

I can see players who are obsessed with kills making the switch.

There are some really bad killers on controller especially the turrets on alien. 90% of games with the turrets turn it into a m1 killer.

  • Played 2v8 last time round. 4 games which was 3 too many.

Awful game mode and definitely better stuff to play and do other than endless queue times for a few minutes of actual game play.

I personally won't be loading dbd until 2v8 is gone and hopefully for good.

  • Having a lot of fun with trapper at the moment.

Others are ghostface legion huntress trickster and all time favourite clown.

    Don't play survivor too boring

  • Complete waste of a licence.

Where's the stealth, the speed, the acid and climbing on ceilings on indoor maps.

On console the tail is atrocious and the turrets should not be 360. No sneaking around them.

Basically a m1 killer on console.

  • I watch dbd steamers and can see the difference ad-ons can make.

And that can be quite a difference maker in the outcome of the game.

But as I've said before I don't use them because I can't be bothered reading what they do nor care if I win or lose.

I play fun killers for fun. Not to win.

As to whether killer should have them -absolutely

Especially for m1 killers with either no map pressure or anti-loop.

Just because I don't use them I think the game would be stale without them on either side.

  • Played 4 games the last time and that was 3 too many.

Won't touch dbd whilst 2v8 is active as queue times are ridiculous and with good survivors the game is over far too quickly. Definitely not worth the wait to play.

  • Stop saying y'all it makes you sound like a Richard head

  • Slugging is the new meta because it nullifies so many survivor perks (especially second chance perks) body blocks, pallets saves, flashlight and flashbang saves and sabo on hooks.

It's no longer in the killers interest to hook but survivors brought this on themselves by crying and moaning about gen regression perks.

  • Survivors brought this on themselves.

They cried and moaned and cried some more about gen regression perks.

They were nerfed into the ground and now it's moaning about slugging.

Hooking has zero advantage to killer and until that changes you reap what you sow

  • Stop saying y'all it makes you sound like a Richard head.

  • One of my least favourite maps especially for a range killer.

Played deathslinger and I might as well have been a bag of cement for all the good it did me.

Practically m1 killer all game due to so many objects for survivors to weave around.

  • You'll never get tid of toxic comments unfortunately.

There will always be bad losers and bad winners.

Harmless comments like ez or baby killer etc you can ignore, laugh at or respond to in kind and I don't have an issue with at all.

But when it comes to comments like get cancer etc these players should:

    get a warning

    then a temp ban.

Then a permanent ban on their ip address so they can't just create a new account with a vpn etc.

These vile comments need stamped out. If you post them or think they are funny you're either a small child or if not you need to take a good hard look at yourself.

Take a visit to a children cancer ward and tell that it's funny.

Go to a funeral and laugh at the person being buried.

Help the fire service bring out burned bodies and laugh whilst you do so.

It's ready sad that pixels on a screen can lead some people to being so vile and pathetic.

For me I think, unfortunately. toxicity is on the increase.

  • Unfortunately winning is everything to some people and equally unfortunately that often requires getting a player out as soon as possible hence tunnelling and slugging.

I only play killer and very casual often with music playing so I can't tell if a gen is regressing without going to look at it.

Do I win a lot of games this way? No.

    Do I care? No.

    Take 2 games last night.

First game 10 hooks as clown 2 survivors escaped.

Second game as ghostface on survivor picked RPD one killed themselve on first hook and second game up the minute I hit them by suddenly appearing in their face around a corner. 4k

Now I know which game was more fun and it wasn't the easy 4k.

Toxic players exist on both sides and that will never change.

So for me tunnelling etc are boring but as I said winning is everything, right?

  • Played event for first time last night.

    Bully squad survivors every match.

Constant flashlight clicking, flashbangs , snow skull throwing, t-bags and insta heals.

Lightborn counters first two but zero effort to do gens or leaving one gen to prevent exit door being opened.

Sure they go down and don't escape in the end but game lasts forever.

Not much fun as killer so far.

  • It's when the gates are open and they do it in the vain hope you'll run to them to t-bag then leave.

    Watch me.

I just ignore end game noise makerst completely.

And nothing better than completely ignoring someone following you click click clicking a flashlight and then eventually turning round and hitting them with lightborn.

Funny how that stops that nonsense when they know they can't bully you with a flashlight or flashbang.

  • Not played her yet but watched a few streamers.

The dog has serious issues but at least it's fast unlike the wolf in dracula that's about as quick as a hippo stuck in mud.

Looking forward to trying her out and laughing at seeing how bad she actually is.

  • I've played on and off for ever but I'm now only playing one or two games every third or fourth day.

I mainly do challenges and the odd event.

DBD has lost its way over the years and has become a cash cow by constantly releasing new licenced chapters.

There is no learning curve for new players and so holding onto them is difficult.

Perks need a complete overhaul. Far too many and even as an experienced player I don't know what half of them do nor do I care.

Add-on's too. Get rid of at least a third of them and make it cheaper and quicker to level up your favourites and/or new characters.

It's supposed to be a horror game but it's about frightening as watching flowers swaying in a gentle breeze.

It's become stale, bug ridden and indeed boring. Same killers same survivors same perks same maps.

Hopefully 2025 will see a change for the better but I'm not hopeful.

  • The map in the ptb was only for the ptb. It was clearly stated as such.

Will come out in the future? Who knows.

But it was never getting released in the latest update.

  • I normally enjoy the events but I played 2v8 just 4 times and that was 3 times too many.

I agree let some time pass before releasing another event.

  • A lot of movies are made better by t everyday surroundings (buildings houses etc) but devoid of people.

I for one prefer that to made up alien landscapes.

  • Sure let's increase the percentage of free escapes

  • Played 2 games as killer with a friend and got 2k and 8k. I was wraith he was huntress. It a lot easier being able to communicate with each other.

2 games one with wraith and the other with spirit with a random player. Zero k both times.

Spirit and deathslinger are poor choices when devs could've used doctor or clown instead.

The amount of pallets and being able to reset god pallets is destroying the game.

That and the obscenely fast gens.

Won't be playing killer again the wait times are ludicrous compared to actual game play time.

  • Eh, no

  • Games, albeit on a simple level, have been used for years to help elderly people by keeping their brain active.

    You're never too old.

  • Love the skin but still one of worst killers to play on console.

Hitting turrets before they stun you is a big issue on controller and they should have a 180 radius so you can get past behind them. 360 radius is a game breaker on controller.

Most of match played as m1 killer.

I loved the idea of alien as a chapter but it was badly handled. Where's the wall crawling? The acid? The speed?

There is zero suspense that make the movies great.

Playing against alien on an indoor map would be a great experience. Is it coming? Is it on the floor or ceiling? Instead dump a turret and bang m1 killer.

    Shocking waste of a licence.

  • Totally agree.

Even getting to level 1 (50 in the blood-Web) so you at least put in some effort would be fair but doing it 3 times is beyond tedious.

  • Unfortunately as an adult I wouldn't take the chance in case a friend request was from a child/young adult under 18.

That would be so inappropriate at every level despite it being an innocent request.

    So no, not for me.

  • I play the fun killers like clown, trickster, huntress, deathslinger, trapper, ghostface and sadako.

Tunnelling, slugging and camping are such a boring way to play and zero fun unless you're extremely toxic in the game with t-bags at every pallet whilst running windows then I might change my game play to single you out.

I've said it before get the 60% kill rate to f out the mindset of dbd players and count hooks to determine a killers strength.

Same killer same perks and get 8 hooks zero kills or 4 hooks 4 kills because people give up or kill themselves on first hook. That's not a win and doesn't make the killer good or overpowered.

That's a boring game for both sides unless you're a child in age or mind and think that's fun.

It gives a totally inaccurate stat and until it's changed to actually make hooks a proper factor then tunnelling, camping and slugging will continue.

But unfortunately human nature has brainwashed people into thinking if I don't win I don't like the game.

I'm crap at cod (black ops) and what was fifa but I still play them.

If winning is all you care about get out more. Life has enough challenges without stressing over pixels on a screen.

Have a good day and OP hope you find something else to enjoy.

  • OP is right.

    Stop killing survivors.

We demand you stop trying to hook/kill us survivors so we can play gen repair simulator.

Great fun for all the family.

  • Haven't noticed any toxic behaviour ever.

Damn I knew there was something weird about those mushrooms I just ate.

I only play killler every 2 or 3 days and only a couple of games at a time. Keeps game a bit fresher.

Don't run add-ons because I can't be bothered reading what they do and go for hooks where possible because even with a zero k it's more fun.

  • Was about to hook last survivor for a rare 4k with ghostface and bang

    Hello error screen

  • Never leave home without it

  • It's hard to say because regardless probably 90% of the player base will still pick from the same 10 or so perks on each side

  • Point out another survivor to me as killer then you're the one getting hit not the person you're pointing at.

  • I get it can be a bit of fun but running to the very first pallet, dropping it and t-bagging at the other side is just sad especially when playing with windows perk.

  • I cant help but feel op post is bait.

If not then that's just sad that if you lose to a certain killer a couple of times your first thought is nerf.

  • Agreed and don't get me started on Knight

  • Played 2 games and 3k with ghostface zero k with onryo.

    Neither was fun.

    Same map too.

I like different modes but this just seems a bit off.

    Not for me.

  • Nurse Blight Singularity and Xeno

I suck at the first 3 and controller on Xeno is awful

  • I don't like slugging but in a game last night I had one survivor dead and one hooked.

In corner of map with absolutely no other gens nearby I let two survivors bleed out. Don't like doing that but it is what it is.

  • I lost my dog in December and I still really miss her so I feel your pain.

You did the right thing blocking these childish idiots.

Toxic chat is absolutely pathetic and pointless over a few pixels on a screen.

    Seriously get a life.

Don't let a few clowns get you down.

  • Wolf is way too slow. It's got 4 legs for goodness sake. It should be fast not plodding along like a bloated walrus

1 2 3 4 5 … 8
