It's a unknown after 5 games for me at the moment.
2 games against good survivors i got stomped and 2 games against poor survivors i stomped them.
5th game I got 3 on death hook but no kills (don't tunnel).
So he's pretty good against newer survivors but definitely not op, if not easy to counter, if survivors are even just decent.
Time will tell.
-
3 games last night
Toba Nostromo Toba
It's almost scripted that they follow each other.
BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Switched it off.
Tonight I got Dead Dawg what a pleasure that was.
Was spoiled by Toba again straight after it.
Enough already.
-
Tuesday for original release
2 weeks later for the nerfd release
4 to 6 weeks later for the slightly buffed release
Sound familiar?
-
I like the original killers more than licenced.
The 5 i play most are Huntress, Clown, Ghostface, Trickster and Trapper.
They are exactly what I want from the game
Easy to get a win against decent survivors no
Strong anti loop no
Good map pressure no
Fun to play yes
And the fun part is more important to me than winning.
No reward for winning so why get so worked up over it?
Give me 8 hooks to a boring easy 4k any day.
-
It would help if solo survivors actually attempted unhooks instead of leaving teammates to die on first hook.
3 games last night not a single survivor saved in 2 of them.
Boring for me as killer too.
-
NOED is your counter to OP's point?
Really?
It's a hex and can be removed.
Come up with something real to complain about.
-
As a killer main I think fog vials are rubbish and the only time I don't hit the person who used it is when I stop to kick a nearly completed gen.
So even as killer I think they need looked at.
Good luck with that though.
-
I skipped last night for the first time in a very long time in chaos shuffle because all 4 had a flashlight and the exact same outfit.
I don't skip obvious bully squads on my own perk choice but not when I could get random rubbish and be bullied all game.
-
One of the worst killers on console.
Turrets are too strong and you spend most of the game as m1 killer.
Nerf turrets to 180 degree swing not 360 as you can't even sneak past/behind them.
Ruined licence.
-
I run aura builds because the gen regression perks have been nerfd into oblivion.
We've had posts on here asking for a nerf to aura perks when it's just bad survivor play.
If you shine a flashlight in my face and I hit you I'm running lightborn so don't do it again because it reveals your aura.
If I hit you hiding in a bush beside a gen I'm running nowhere to hide so don't hang around the gen.
Just ignore entitled survivors who think if they lose you're cheating.
-
Sprint burst will become meta during first week of general release as streamers have shown how easy it makes it to dodge his upside-down attack.
It takes too long to perform and freezes killer in place giving an easy blind with a flashlight.
If anything that could do with a buff whilst putting a small cool down on vines to counter the buff.
Time will tell but like pinhead and Xeno I really fear he'll suck on console.
-
I absolutely agree with op.
Being a killer main it's so boring doing the same daily challenges
Hook 5 survivors
Sacrifice or kill 3 survivors
Damage 5 gens
Break 5 pallets
Earn 30k points
Variety would help and definitely bring back the glyph challenges.
-
Bloody annoying heaving 4 Steve's screaming at you.
-
Do the daily challenges and occasionally a few Huntress games trying to get distance hits.
Nothing else holds my interest long enough anymore so I'll play something more interesting instead.
-
Trapper is my highest killer at level 26.
He (naughty bear) is so much more fun to play especially if you accept decent survivors will usually escape.
He's fun against toxic loopers and a random trap in the middle of the map catches survivors out in chase because they expect them at pallets and windows only.
The only buff I would like is the ability to carry more traps like 3 or 4 at base because with the gen speed of good survivors the time to locate and place traps becomes too little too late.
-
Anti face camping, anti tunnelling, anti slugging, gen regression nerfd into oblivion and now survivors want anti aura.
Let's do away with everything and all play perkless Trapper so survivors can do their gens in peace, pick pretty flowers and Blendette's can hide in bushes with dark clothing and no skill required.
As stated in a previous post, once you know a killer has lightborn don't continue to try and use your flashlight and don't hang around gens if you suspect NTH is being used because your aura being revealed and staying in the vicinity is entirely on you after the first time.
-
My fear with any licence is what they do with it.
Alien was the biggest disappointment ever.
A lethal killer with wall crawling, speed and acid blood reduced to m1 with pathetic flame turrets.
Be careful what you wish for.
-
The game is not killer sided nor survivor sided.
I've played against bad survivors, good survivors and really really good survivors.
You only have a 25% chance of being tunneled and the other 3 survivors should be doing gens when you're on the hook and team body blocking your unhook after some gens have been completed.
Tunnelling is a strategy that fails against competent survivors.
Bad teammates does not make a game killer sided especially against m1 killers.
-
Just hate that map with a passion especially with a m1 killer.
Horrible lighting and when it's inside the castle it has more exits than a football stadium.
-
Got it very quickly and I've seen plenty survivors in a snowman especially in end game when gates opened.
Or a bully squad using a snowman as a substitute head-on because they'll do it over and over again and you can hit them as they prepare to jump out.
I suggest you've just been unlucky.
-
Don't know from survivors point of view but I've been doing a lot of Huntress challenges and they're far more fun than normal game of survivors go to of fast vault and hold w.
Especially fun was hit survivors with a hatchet at 15 metres away.
Also, landing a long or narrow view hit is incredibly satisfying.
Not all killers that don't chase are being friendly they could be doing a challenge be that distance hits, gen kicks, pallet breaks etc.
-
I've had Toba Landing so often I feel like I've joined NASA.
Twice in 5 games is ridiculous.
And if play anymore than 3 games guaranteed Toba in game 4.
Map rotation is broken.
-
Not all tunnelling is the killer deliberately hunting same survivor.
I got someone out within 4 hooks because they kept running in front of me.
-
Learn when killer has lightborn.
Survivors who constantly try to blind you after it hasn't worked the first 3 times must be very annoying to other teammates as they persist with the useless flashlight instead of doing gens.
-
Tunnelling and slugging increased when all gen regression perks were nerfd into oblivion.
-
Well flashlight bully squads are on the increase so there's that.
Join one and rejoice in the joys of lightborn.
Devs Just can't get a happy medium.
Too many pallets to not enough.
As I've said before take one map offline at a time and review pallets placement hook placement and dead zones.
-
I nain trapper and ghostface as they're fun especially ghostface on indoor maps.
With Trapper the key is don't place too many traps in obvious places.
The amount of survivors running into traps placed in random areas mid map is far greater than at obvious windows or vaults.
With ghostface use as much cover as possible to stalk but unfortunately he's very weak in open outdoor maps.
-
You have a 25% chance of being the survivor getting tunneled and a 75% chance of not being the one tunneled.
Doesn't mean all killers tunnel every survivor all game every game.
If you're the "chosen one" it's bad luck or bad play like unsafe unhooks when previously hooked and currently injured.
Like me not all killers tunnel but survivors brought this and slugging on themselves with the constant moaning about gen regression perks.
-
I main Trapper (naughty bear), Legion and Ghostface with others I use a fair amount like Clown, Trickster, Huntress, Deathslinger and Chucky.
In my opinion these killers are more enjoyable to play if you're like me and couldn't care less about winning and having fun instead.
(On a side note lightborn brings so much joy to my games and never leave home without it)
I occasionally use other a lot of other killers for the odd game or killer master challenges but never use Nurse, Blight or Ghoul. Don't have either the time or inclination to learn them as they just don't appeal to me.
Xeno in particular sucks on console so never play it and the nerfs to Knight destroyed a fun and original killer.
As far as survivors go I constantly see Meg , Feng and Lara Croft so some variety would be nice there too.
-
The devs cannot seem to get a happy medium on pallet density.
The increase in pallets was ridiculous with double pallets leading to a vault or window seriously harming weaker killers.
The recent pallet update seems to have gone the other way with survivors being more vulnerable.
Revert to original pallet density and take one map offline at a time to look at pallet positioning, large dead zones and number of pallets.
One map that definitely doesn't need extra pallets is Gideon Meat Plant. It already has a ridiculous number of god pallets.
-
I've suggested this several times.
Do away with all gen regression perks as they're pretty useless after being nerfd into oblivion and make hooks regress gens instead.
Survivor's first hook x% second hook lower x% and third hook 0% but you have the kill to compensate for no further regression.
Personally I'd rather hook 8 survivors and all escape than a boring 4k or constant survivor dc all day long.
-
At least I haven't had games recently where a pallet drop stunned me when I wasn't even in the same post code as survivor.
-
Don't know why anyone cares if their post is down voted.
Make your point as you're perfectly entitled too and if others don't like it then they can come up with a counter argument.
Don't get hung up on down votes it doesn't mean your opinion isn't valid/correct.
On the state of the game it's pretty poor at the moment and changes seem to be aimed at survivors who can't learn to loop killers or can't learn when to drop a pallet or when to save a fellow survivor and when and what gen to do.
Perhaps a better training mode would be more beneficial as new survivors are just thrown to the wolves.
-
Sure another way to get a free escape in end game fabulous idea
-
I love playing ghostface as I play for fun but the big reason ghostface is weak is his power (stealth) is far too easy to remove simply by looking at him.
Great in indoor maps awful in outdoor maps
-
There are killers that suck to play on console mainly being the ability to run in more than one direction around obstacles whilst using their power - Blight Oni Chucky for example.
I love the alien movies but Xeno is garbage on console as it's a lot harder to avoid/hit flame turrets.
Sure you can change the settings on your controller but the 360 turn speed on pc will never be matched with a controller.
Without cross-play queue times would be longer so it may be a necessary evil.
-
Do daily challenges and switch off and that's it for killer.
-
Try playing killer against decent survivors before you come out with such garbage.
-
I always play for hooks and if everyone escapes who cares?
More hooks equals more fun for me.
There should be some incentive though like do away with all the garbage hook regression perks as they're practically useless anyway and have hooks start regressing the gen closest to completion.
First hook on a new survivor 10% regression, second hook on same survivor 5% regression and third hook and killing same survivor 2% regression (or whatever percentage is a fair reward for hooking multiple survivors and make playing for hooks more of an incentive).
With regards the end game chat thankfully I'm on PS5 so don't have to suffer childish comments and I don't go anywhere near exit gates when opened.
So vault and pallet spam away because you're just wasting your own time my tv is already on mute and I'm on tik tok or whatever until the next match.
-
I always play killer with no add-ons (because I can't be bothered reading what they do).
My favourite killer at the moment is naughty bear and I play him with nothing but lightborn (never leave home without it) where number of hooks varies massively and kill rate is anything from zero to 4k depending on survivors.
I'd rather have a fun game with multiple trap hits and hooks, even if everyone escapes, over an easy 4k all day.
Killers sweating for a 4k is sad and whilst it might be satisfying to you or your ego is definitely not fun.
-
Yeah total garbage.
Low mmr or new survivors you're getting 4k or a 3k with a hatch escape or letting last survivor go.
Average to decent mmr probably 2 or 3k depending on killer and survivors not doing gens and going for bad saves.
High mmr or decent game sense like looping and or gen rushing vast majority of killers, especially m1 killers, struggle to get anything more than a 2k at best.
Coordinated swf kill rate is very low.
Bully squads kill rate varies massively depending on killer and how survivors play like doing gens with builds to pick up teammates, sabo, head on, flashlights/flasbangs or get off hook and second chance perks etc or just outright bully and not doing gens.
I can play trapper or ghostface and get a 4k or zero k. Clown very rarely get zero k but can struggle to get 2k+.
So op saying game is killer sided and killers need a nerf i(although some do) s total bs based on my experience of playing for a long time.
-
I thought an afk killer gets an initial warning message about further action will be taken if it happens again?
I got one when I had already started the match count down and didn't play for some reason.
Anyway warning message appeared on my in-box when I next put dbd on.
Don't know what happens after initial warning message although I assume something is in place or is it a pointless attempt to try and 'scare' you into not doing it again and there's actually no punishment?
-
I was playing naughty bear (aka trapper) and had a survivor dc almost as soon as the match started and another dc on first down.
I hadn't even put down a single trap and 2 players left the match.
It's not like it's an op killer so why bother playing.
I didn't continue. Let them do gens and leave because there's zero fun chasing bots and the other survivors game was ruined by the selfish actions of the two that dc'd.
It's actually getting out of hand and I agree that a harsher penalty is needed although what that is should be up for debate between devs and players from both sides.
On a side note why do survivors dc on death hook?
The games over for you and you lose everything just because you lost and think ha ha you didn't get to hook me for the third time.
Pathetic childish behaviour.
-
Got the challenge done reasonably quickly because I don't know what game people are playing but every single match all 4 survivors go into the void and mos survivors t several times.
Never had a single match that all 4 survivors didn't go into the void at some point.
-
Some maps are ridiculous with the amount of pallets especially with a survivor running windows.
But I just break them mid chase if it's early as it hinders survivors later when most pallets already broken.
Chased a survivor for 7 pallets lost 2 gens but got 3k as map now had multiple dead zones and all god pallets gone.
It's knowing when to disengage from chase that can make a difference to outcome of a match.
-
Absolutely what the game needs another perk to guarantee a free escape at end game.
Fabulous idea that won't hurt killer at all.
-
The only decent thing about the zombies is they show a rough location of a survivor when they start a 'chase'.
-
Boring game mode
Detest it even with a friend playing killer.
Played about 6 times since it first appeared.
2 weeks playing something else works for me.
-
I appreciate they can't control social media but they can can control in game chat where I've seen it with my own eyes.
Sad state of affairs the whole thing is.
-
What a huge huge disappointment the walking dead corner of the map turned out to be.
Blink and you miss it.
Given the money they raked in from skins they should at least have created a decent map with an actual abandoned prison or hospital.
The door with the dead behind is a nice touch but that's it. A touch.
Just like the alien chapter was a complete waste of a licence.
Dollar signs soothing furrowed brows as they go to sleep in the evening.
