As a killer main you point out another survivor you're the one going down.
It's that simple.
-
I played a game last night and forgot how bad a killer xeno is.
The turrets are ridiculous and harder to hit on controller.
The turrets should have a 180 degree swivel not 360. I should be able to skip past a turret from behind not get hit from all directions.
Do you ever see a machine gun placement in a war game spin 360 or a security camera spin 360?
That and how bad the tail miss punish xeno makes it a really bad experience.
I don't play to win and couldn't give a rats bottom about all survivors escaping I want to have fun chasing survivors and getting hooks and xeno just doesn't do it for me.
Shame because I recently saw Alien Romulus and realised again that the devs have missed out big time on a classic, almost perfect, killing machine the xeno actually is.
The movies work on suspense, fear, speed of attack and jump scares. It should be a killer survivors should fear playing against instead is rendered almost useless by a single turret.
-
The op comments is a dev post for sure :)
It's like an advert for the game.
Come on tell the truth you're a dev.
I enjoy the game and glad your enjoying it too. Nice to read something positive for a change.
-
Unlike the last survivor who t-bags at the exit gate like they are so skillful despite there are still be 3 gens left?
Both are toxic behaviour and devs are not going to change it.
-
I use my tablet to pass the time waiting on 1v 4 match to do daily killer challenges.
Waiting time is quicker than it was as 2v8 loses its initial appeal but still ridiculously long
Hopefully we'll see an improvement soon with new killer and survivor due out.
-
Lightborn I never leave home without it.
Too many toxic flashlight clickers and flashbangers for my liking and lightborn puts their gas at a peep.
-
Night night Knight
I love Knight the way he stomps around the map and his sword is a great base weapon but good lord does he suck following the new nerfs.
Ended up playing for a few hooks as against half decent survivors his guards are practically useless.
Far too easy to avoid or loop around and grab the banner.
Cool down is also far too long.
-
Yep every single game last night had it on at least 3 survivors and several times on all 4.
Was playing deathslinger which didn't help but several games were reduced to see if I could hit some decent shots.
Run vault loop pallet.
Such skill.
-
Anybody who mentions self harm, get s disease like cancer or to kill themselves to another player should be an instant ban and the person reported to the appropriate authorities.
How many kids have taken their life over bullying?
It's disgusting and should be punished to the full extent of the law.
-
Nice quote from Mike Teevee in the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory π
-
Sure why not?
Recently nerfd Knight, Chucky and Wesker so might as well nerf Huntress too.
Any others you want an easier game against?
-
Standing in a corner or on top of a building is great fun especially with lightborn as that infuriates them even more.
Nothing beats the survivors desperately trying to get you engage.
Jumping In and out lockers leaping pallets. Sad sad sad little people. Just leave.
I normally mute the sound and do something else. Trust me they'll get bored before I will.
Play for hooks with a killer you like. Don't worry about a win or loss.
-
I wish people would get this killer kill rate percentage out of their head.
4 slugs = 4k
Do this 10 times = 40 kills no hooks.
Add to this survivors killing themselves on first hook and the kill percentage rate is meaningless bs.
Until Devs count hooks you will never get a true measure of killer strength.
-
Play for fun and hooks.
Why take an event seriously?
Chased a Steve for pallet break challenge. Needed 5 he dropped 8 in a row. Could have hit him at any time but was more interested in seeing how many he would drop. Must have been reasonably new as he never looked back once or understood he was turning parts of the map into a deadzone as he was allowing all pallets in that part of the map to be broken.
I could have turned that to my advantage but as I said I just play for fun and let them all go.
-
I always play an event the same way. Do what I need to do and let survivors get on with their game.
Also, took immense pleasure in kicking gens as my challenge whilst completely ignoring survivors who were desperately trying to engage me so much they stopped doing gens. Turned out to be a bully squad with flashbang background player head on sabo and boil over etc.
What a treat to spoil their game.
Poor little survivors
-
I let 2 survivors escape because they were obviously new and still had 3 gens to go.
Possible op is talking about me or very similar game.
Makes zero difference to me but I see no advantage in going for a 4k in that situation and I would have let 2 go regardless. Just random which 2 I hooked out the game.
-
Worst map ever
The_Simpsons-Jeff_Albertson.png -
To quote the French philosopher RenΓ© Descartes
I think therefore I am.
-
Terrific artwork and a lot of detail has gone into downstairs. Hats off to devs for the effort.
As for killer well that's a different matter.
As it's so survivor friendly perhaps killer can just give a guided tour pointing out paintings etc.
-
I don't play to win so clown is one of my favourite killers because he's fun.
Now I know survivors find him boring to play against I'll play him even more
-
I played clown and got 9 hooks. 3 survivors on 2 hooks one dead on 3rd hook. I ran with 2 regression perks.
I don't tunnel or camp because that's just boring and I don't play to win.
Now next game I ran zero regression perks and whilst arguably slightly better survivors I got 4 hooks. No kills.
The survivors ran with every gen rush perk and toolboxes you can think of between them.
Now i think my chase time was decent with maybe a couple taking a touch too long but with no regression perks the gens went super fast.
I know survivors hate gen regression but I do believe it's necessary especially for weaker killers.
Perhaps capping gen rush and regression to one perk only might work.
Killer could have one regression perk survivors could have one each giving a maximum of 4 per match.
I have no idea if it would work I just know playing for hooks with no regression was utterly useless against semi-decent survivors all running gen rush perks and add-ons.
-
Nobody
Why would you care?
It's pixels on a screen not a person'.
-
I'll always slug a survivor who runs to first pallet, drops it and then runs to second pallet and drops it with a t-bag after both pallets.
I mean I need to eliminate a survivor that shows such skill and I'm fully deserving of the t-bags after 2 pallets in a straight line.
-
Have to agree
I recently played clown and getting hooks with only pop equipped doesn't slow the game down enough.
Survivors don't need to be good at loops as long as they can efficiently do gens with perks and toolboxes then they fly.
Game was over so quickly after only 5 hooks.
I don't play to win so don't tunnel etc but I want to play longer because clown is a,fun killer.
Gens are way too fast with decent survivors.
-
I've been seeing it a lot too.
I like to play clown and huntress and boy does that map suck.
At least with clown you can mindgame some of the pallets with his bottles but huntress.....
Give me ghostface on an indoor map any day
-
Miss lightborn. Detest flashlight bully squads.
Also miss no where to hide on darker maps against Blendette's.
To be honest I get perks I didn't even know were in the game and only after the game I find out what they were supposed to do.
So it's a learning lesson for me.
-
About 50/50.
Played clown 4 games.
First game got 3k with hatch escape.
Second game 2k.
Third game zero k - gens went so fast it was unbelievable.
Fourth game 2k
So as I said 50/50.
-
I've always said hooks are more fun and would actually give a better idea of killer strength.
Survivors killing themselves on first hook or giving up counts as a kill. 2 hooks and a 2k. Where is the logic in saying that was a draw?
I played a game as huntress and got 11 hooks and last survivor got hatch. That's a win not an easy 3k with 3 hooks.
I don't care if all survivors escape because camping or tunnelling is boring. Why do people feel the need to win on either side and start getting annoyed when they don't?
Survivors moan about Nurse and Blight being too strong but I wonder what the actual kill count is compared to survivors seeing either character and giving up.
-
All the fun killers seem to be the weakest but I still enjoy trapper, ghostface and deathslinger.
-
I had a missing perk with Wesker.
End game showed 3 perks instead of 4.
At first I thought it was my fault and hadn't equipped it because I don't play Wesker very often.
Buy yeah it was definitely equipped.
Funny thing is it was nowhere to hide and no aura on gen kicks that's why I assumed it wasn't picked.
I know survivors can run perks to counter but all 4 on the very match I happened to have it not shown?
Weird bug
-
Yeah it's taken over from RPD that came up so often I was beginning to think I worked there.
-
I play anonymous because I don't know you and you don't need to know me - especially if you're a child
Don't make out it it's for some hidden agenda.
-
I'll always without fail go for the survivor pointing out another survivor.
I had a survivor pointing out which locker a survivor went into in basement after an unhook. Guess who I went for? (hint: it wasn't the one in the locker).
-
I used to let survivors leave if it appeared they were reasonably new.
Now I hardly ever let anyone leave where possible because being "nice" in one game normally resulted in scumbag survivors in the next.
If you're really really new and making silly mistakes I'll probably still let you go but otherwise no because I can almost guarantee had the game gone the other way you very likely would be t-bagging at the exit gate etc.
-
None.
I have 6 or 7 killers I play the most but main none of them.
Too boring.
As they say variety is the spice of life.
-
And here I thought the point of the game was to kill survivors with the killer of your choice.
Must have missed the part where it says only play the survivors choice of killers and perks so they have fun and you don't.
There's a lot to dislike about survivor perks especially second chance perks but I deal with it.
You pay your money you play how and who you want and that applies to both sides.
-
Everyone should play the way they want and run whatever perks they want.
It's your game so stop giving a damn what anyone says.
Your job is to kill survivors or escape as a survivor.
You'll never please everyone no matter how you play.
-
Love having lightborn especially against flashlight bully sqauds or the survivors click click clicking.
Nowhere is also very good for the Blendette's hiding in bushes etc.
You might think that is a waste of 2 perks but as I don't care about winning or losing I never leave home without them.
-
As killer I play with fun killers like huntress, chucky, deathslinger and clown.
No add-ons and couldn't care less if it's a 0k or 4k.
I can't see how anyone can get fun out of sweating to win on either side.
Boring
-
Makes a change from
I'm fed up seeing Nurse
I'm fed up seeing Blight
I'm fed up seeing Spirit
I'm fed up seeing Wesker
I'm fed up seeing Knight
I'm fed up seeing Chucky
I'm fed up seeing Huntress
Do you want to just play against a perkless Trapper?
-
Ignore them especially the clowns that open and close lockers or fast vault near the exit gate in a pathetic attempt to get you to come to the gate so they can t-bag and run out.
Never going to happen in any game I play.
-
Sure nerf them into the ground like all the other slow down perks so you can see endless games of slugging as gens would just fly otherwise.
What a great idea.
-
Some survivors are just toxic and some are just bully flashlight and head-on sqauds.
You get good survivors who play the game and appreciate it if the killer is playing nice.
Some survivors think unless they die on hook your a bad killer.
I've had 8 hooks (much more fun) then survivor got free escape with bt and to be fair a decent body block.
Clowns still wanted to t-bag at gate even though I could have tunnelled a couple of them out the game earlier and ended with a 3k or 4k.
I've been practicing huntress and seeing how far I can hit someone.
I've had some terrific hits although the vast majority of my throws are so bad you would think I'd never played huntress before.
Now the last couple of games I've 2 and 3 man swfs that t-bag, flashlight clicking (yeah for lightborn) and body blocks that it seems you're not allowed to practice a killer.
You must chase me so we can be toxic especially at the gate - although I don't give them the satisfaction. How much noise can we make with fast vaulting or locker jumping hoping you'll come over to get t-bagged before we leave. (Sorry I'm on ps5 so you can't continue your toxic behaviour with pathetic comments).
I just ignore these people and continue to practise my throws.
Enjoy the game your way and appreciate the decent survivors and ignore the toxic ones that set out to make the game miserable for the killer and their solo survivor teammate(s) who are left to do all the gens.
Nothing against swfs in general just the toxic ones that have no intention of doing any gens even if they all eventually die on hook.
-
Much more fun playing for hooks and if everyone escapes who cares?
Kills tells you nothing about skill, killer or play style.
A survivor kills themselves on first hook and a 2k becomes a lot easier with possibly just 2 hooks.
Slug all 4 and its a 4k with 4 hooks but maybe get one kill with 9 hooks.
-
End game chat is toxic in the vast majority of games. It does nothing other than let simple minded people spew hate and insult the other side
Why people get so worked up over a video game is beyond me.
If you lost go on to the next game. If you win go on to the next game. It's that simple.
If you're over the age of 12 and posting toxic comments then you really need to take a good hard look at yourself.
And if you post anything along the lines of #########, end yourself etc it should be a permanent ban.
Kids do take their life over cyber bullying and anyone who thinks this is acceptable or funny in a video game has a serious problem.
-
They are fine the way they are. Some challenges are difficult and an easy challenge is a breath of fresh air.
But do agree the green one's are a pain in the butt as you can here them form but struggle to find them.
-
The amount of times my son has been told to kill himself because he won is pathetic and these people really need help with their anger issues.
Two people in my work have had to lay a child into a grave recently and no parent deserves that hurt and grief.
No parent wants to outlive their child/children and if that's a comment you make then shame on you.
Oh it's just in fun.
You say it's just in fun to my work mates one of whom has unopened Christmas presents bought for his son.
No, end game chat should be banned and trust me op you don't need it.
-
Playing for hooks is much more fun and if everyone escapes who cares?
Nobody.
No pat on the back, no medal and the press aren't desperate to interview you.
People forget it's a video game. A collection of pixels on a screen.
Don't know what the answer is to stop dc and toxic killers/try hards.
Slugging is sometimes required if a survivor runs into a corner where they no there is no hook nearby.
Tunnelling is used as a strategy to help gain an advantage and is sometimes the only way you can stop being stomped.
But neither should be the first option especially at 5 or 4 gens.
-
Some maps the exit gates are so fat apart you need a helicopter to get from one to the other. Adding a hatch escape to those maps for more than one person would make it very very difficult to get to any remaining survivors as you couldn't possibly cover all 3.
It would basically be a 1 in 3 chance you pick the right exit.
-
I played a game as clown and got 8 hooks but zero kills.
Now I for one find that much more satisfying than going for kills (I let a Billy Bob run free instead of killing him on hook and went after a Claudette trying in vain to flashlight click).
Until hooks are used to judge killers then nothing will change. The kill rate is completely screwed up when you have survivors killing themselves on first hook and AFK against stronger killers. Kills will never tell how good or bad a killer actually is.
And therein lies the problem with new chapters. Try learning a new killer you get stomped and when you learn how to play, the new killer is suddenly nerfd as survivors cry and throw the dummy out the pram when they can't bully the new killer anymore.
I was so hyped up for alien but don't play it much anymore. Avoiding turrets on console is so much harder and it basically becomes a m1 killer.
Chucky is great despite the numerous nerfs and original in his 3rd person view. And some great voice lines make him the only new killer I've really enjoyed recently.
I look forward to new killers with less a less excitement.
