does he really need any changes leatherface doesn’t really seem to be bad in anyway anymore

His acceleration on Chainsaw Sweep nerfs duration addons, because the code is really bad. It wasn't like that before 4.4.0 Update. That was massive shadow nerf for Leatherface. Also playing Bubba without Beast's Marks is pointless, but players usually don't see it, because they play Bubba ocasionally and they don't care, but when they verse strong Teams they usually end with 3 Hooks Stages.

  • @Eleghost said:

why does he need buffed? you can instadown multiple people, if you run certain add-ons you can literally run people down from far away.

On slightly higher level Bubba isn't that strong. You mentioned addons - this is a problem - he needs addons to actually compete on higher level - that's the problem... That's why I suggested to add Beast's Marks base kit. Playing without Beast's Marks is pointless. Bubba Main 2-3k Hours said.

  • Hillbilly will receive good changes. That's good. I like it. What about second Chainsaw Killer? What about Bubba? He needs some tweaks. Are there any plans to buff him in some way?

  • @OrangeBear said:

Honestly i wish they would remove tantrum because it's extremely irritating and most of the time it happens it feels unfair because it hits invisible collision. His capability is extremely limited so i don't think it would make him overpowered

It's better to fix invisible collisions, no?

By increase by 3-4%, how do you mean? (Warning: math incoming)

Bubba's chainsaw works by taking his base speed and putting it through a multiplier. 4.6x1.15 for his 5.29m/s speed. In essence, you're 15% faster.

What Beast Marks SHOULD do is add 3%, so 15% becomes 18%. So, 4.6x1.18 or 5.428m/s

What ACTUALLY happens is (due to improper coding) the forumla is (4.6x1.15)x1.03 resulting in 5.4487m/s.

This is a minor difference, but this is due to how low the numbers the add-ons usually are atm. So, I repeat my question: when you say 3-4% faster, how are you imagining it done?

Yeah , they just count movement speed bonus from 132.25% - not from 115% or 100%.

From 132.25% to 136% - something around that. Like Base Kit Beast's Marks.

Also his acceleration applies hidden penalties on his duration addons (except Depth Gauge Rake).

  • These two perks slots are not worth it. It may be usefull on a few killer and that's all.

  • Yeah. Bubba is broken in Lobby Screen.

Unless you are a comp player with the strongest stuff on one of the top 3-4 killers... Then the odds of you facing a 4 men comp squad that would be able to win are fairly low...

If a comp Players brings the strongest stuff on the strongest Killer in Public Matches he shouldn't be able to lose matches, right? I'm pretty sure if he would meet strong SWF with items he would struggle very hard to win this.

  • Win Streaks say anything at all. Of course people that reached high win streak are good at Killer, but usually win streaks end when Survivors bring strong items / perks and Survivors are good in chase and organised. You can play 200 matches and didn't fight such a team and you can play 5 matches and play against strong SWF. Win Streaks are very RNG dependent...

  • it's so funny to read these stupid messages from dbd players ngl

  • I hope Hillbilly will receive very good changes. In my opinion old Hillbilly would be A Tier balanced Killer at current Dead By Daylight.

I hope his Chainsaw Sprint movement speed will be increased from 9.2 m/s to at least 9.8 m/s.

Also his Chainsaw cooldowns make no sense. Why? He has constant 3 seconds cooldown after missed / successful Chainsaw Attack. Also his "Tantrum" is 3 seconds. I would decrease successful Chainsaw Attack from 3 seconds to 2.25 seconds and missed Chainsaw Attack cooldown from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

Additionally BHVR should remove "overheat" addons, because these addons are useless since they almost removed overheat mechanic. Billy should receive addons for his cooldowns / charge time for sure. I don't think about Insta Saw Billy, but at least a few decent addons.

  • Similar 3 gen was possible on old Garden Of Joy.

Can we please re-write the code for Cannibal? He needs the same treatment Nurse got a year or two ago.

What do you mean? You mean acceleration code on Chainsaw Sweep? Yeah I agree. It applies hidden penalty for duration addons and make him weaker.

  • I read that and I am pretty sure you haven't played Cannibal on higher level. On higher level you just need Beast's Marks addon. Without it Bubba is weak. I don't know why are you talking about old-old Bubba. Current Bubba needs a slightly increased movement speed while in Chainsaw Sweep state and that's a fact. I am on of the best Bubbas in this game and I need Beast's Marks to at least compete against better players. My whole idea about buffing him is only increase his movement speed and fix his acceleration. That's all. And of course addons changes.

  • These killers will receive a small tweaks - not a big changes / reworks. They will change a few addons a little bit and maybe one change in power. I suppose that they will give her 115% while she has no hatchets. That's my prediction.

  • This whole list for the next 6 months could be in 1 Midchapter and it should be. With this speed this game will be only worse and worse.

  • Just bring back Old Billy with nerfed Charge Time addons and that's all. Old Billy at current dbd wouldn't be S tier for sure.

  • Honestly - Old Billy on current state of Dead By Daylight would be balanced. Only nerf his old charge time addons.

  • I really don't get it. Every small % of the most important stats in this game is a huge deal. Movement speeds & repair speeds.

Someone can play Deja Vu & Resilence and he can get 15% boost. It's crazy for me. I really dislike how BHVR buffs "injury state" playstyle.

I'm not saying wrong things. Maybe a bit inaccurate, I give you that.

Deja Vu received three buffs/changes over the time. The longest time it was giving gens auras at the start of the match for one minute. That was it's weakest form, and no one played it for good reason.

Then it was changed to give 3-gen aura for 1 min at the start and after a gen is done. This was a significant buff, but the perk would still not be picked.

Then the gen speed buff was added (but duration stayed). So another slight buff. Was it picked then? No, still too weak.

Only with the last change, aura being unlimited, the perk finally was recognized and picked into builds.

I agree that having unlimited aura may be the stronger effect than the gen speed buff. But I still think the speed buff is required for the perk to be actually picked. Without it, there's no reason to pick it if you have some game knowledge where the most notorious 3-gens are on the maps. Deja Vu aura makes this just easier for you.

Why most players use Windows Of Oportunity then? Even experienced players like to use it?

  • @CaulDrohn said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3589025#Comment_3589025

Deja Vu did not have any speed bonus for the longest time, and was being considered one of the most useless perks. This and it being active the whole time is the reason the perk is used at all now. Without the speed boost, it would no longer be used, reducing perk variety further.

Before the buff aura effect was different and had time limit. So do not say wrong things, please. And I dissagree. People mostly use this perk becaue of Aura Reading Mechanic.

6% is very little and it only works on highlighted gens, which you aren't always going to be able to repair anyhow. If the perk was ONLY for seeing three gens it'd be pretty trash for everyone except new players.

90% of Survivors don't know how to not "3gen" themself to be honest. This perk is very good - especially in indoor maps.

6% is very little - eh... okay man okay man.

  • I post it November 2021 and acceleration isn't fixed. That is sad.

I hope it's gonna be fixed soon!

You guys can help me with it. Post a comment and vote up.

  • Hello. I main Bubba since 2019. Why people don't want to play as Bubba nowadays?

    1) Camera Bug - when the Chainsaw Sweep starts Bubba looks down or up for some reason and it's very annoying. I reported this problem and my post has a status "Under Review" since 1 - 2 months.

    2) Tantrum Bug - when Bubba hits a Survivor and then breaks a Pallet with the same Chainsaw Sweep (or just Break a Pallet / Door with weird camera movement) his Power can be permamently blocked. Casual Cannibal players will not notice a bug and they don't know how to fix it. We need to release Chainsaw Sweep - it will trigger a Tantrum (very bad), but it will unlock our Power.

    3) Current Meta - Cannibal has "Chase" Power without any mobility at all. He wants to use his Chainsaw in every chase. Best counter against Bubba - rush gens in injury state with perks like Made For This / Dead Hard / Resilence - they massively outplay your Chainsaw for free with Made For This. If they make a mistake they can press "E" to get a distance with Dead Hard. Resilence makes vaults speed much faster (vaults are the best counter to him) and also it increases gen speed at injury state.

    4) Chainsaw Sweep Acceleration - his acceleration got changed / bugged in Patch 4.4.0 (Twins DLC). He reaches Chainsaw Sweep maximum movement speed after 60% of his first charge. It means that without addons he needs 1.2 seconds to reach maximum movement speed. It also means that all duration addons (expect Depth Gauge Rake) apply hidden penalty and they increase time required to reach maximum movement speed. For example with both chili Bubba is so slow at the start, because he needs 1.65 seconds to reach maximum speed. Old Acceleration Code (fresh after Bubba's Rework - Patches 4.1.0 - 4.3.0) was working like this:

Reaches maximum speed after 0.6 seconds. It was "ALWAYS" 0.6 seconds. Zero penalties for his addons. A little bit better base kit. It had a huge impact. He is much worse to play as compared to version 4.1.0 - 4.3.0. Also because of his acceleration code one of his iridescent addons "Carburetor Tuning Guide" was unplayable - but they have fixed that after 2 years, because of my 3452354 posts about it.

    5) His addons are weak. The best addon for him is only Beast's Marks / Knife Scratches - but not for everyone. Average Bubba will not make a huge value from these. Chili Addons like I said apply hidden penalties. Other addons except Iridescent Flesh / Light Chassis & Recharge Addons are completely useless.

    6) Maps designs - a lot of invisible hitboxes / hard to avoid hitboxes. Also BHVR for some reasion tremendously increased amount of Pallets on Azarov Maps. It's a nightmare. I need to mention Badham / Garden / Eyrie / Red Forest / even Yamaoka Maps have very bad hitboxes. I feel like only good map for Bubba is Macmillan and Dead Dawg Salon.

    7) I feel like average Bubba or even +5000 Hours Player who play all Killers - he just can not win matches with Bubba or matches are very annoying or unfunny. I main this character since long time ago so I know all tricks I can do with this Killer and I can win many games in a row, but sometimes it's just impossible.

    8) Hit Validation - thing that BHVR added like 2-3 years ago. Because of that it's extremely easy to stun a Bubba during his Chainsaw Sweep. Like Bubba needs to be clever and know how to play around it. Back in the days it was much harder to time it.

    9) Lockers - another annoying counter against Bubba. Average Bubba just don't know how to play around it. But, Survivors learned how to time it perfectly.

Lethal Pursuer: Do nothing and BHVR will show you to the killer main objective (survivors) for free at the most important time with 2s aura extend bonus.

Enduring: Play bad, get stunned by a pallet and receive this amazing 50% stun duration reduction bonus!

Deadlock: Go AFK and make a sandwich, and slow the game down by a minimum of 30 seconds but often more, even against cheaters!

We can do this all day, perks are meant to help you and give you benefits. There's no need to "us vs them" and strawman these perks like they're all incredible crutches that the "other side" doesn't deserve.

Yeah, but increasing gen speeds isn't healthy and it requries gen regression perks from Killers (also boring).

  • Deja Vu doesn't need this 6% speed bonus. Three Gens Aura Reading itself is very strong effect. I would just remove 6% speed bonus.

Resilence - 9% repair speed & 9% faster vaults - very strong - I would remove one of these two effects or decrease value from 9% to 6/7% both.

    Prove Thyself - fair

  • Anonymous Mode sohuld be only for confirmed streamers in my opinion. I could dodge suspect lobbies back in the days. Now it's impossible and it's waste of time playing against a cheater. Also many players use Anonymous Mode to be incognito and say bad words for everyone in every situation - it's just annoying.

  • Wraith is much stronger after Med Kits changes, but he isn't very strong. I would say he is B Tier (before he was like C Tier).

Killers between B-A are perfect balanced.

There is still a difference between being bad at Bubba and not knowing how to properly play the killer, sure just with basically every killer only a small amount of people know how to play them properly, but there are still different stages: bad mediocre decent good great whatever you want to call them, so no I don't think either statement is true, 80% of Bubbas are not bad and probably more than 1% know how to play him properly.

Besides that I don't think Bubba is one of the hardest killers in the game, if you give me some arguments maybe he could be in the top 15 or top 10 but not even close to the top.

I think pressing the button for the tokens at the correct time is for example super easy if you practise it for a few minutes you should not have any problems with it, unless you run addons/no addons to mess with the duration of the sweep.

As for facecamping, you do realise though that during the PTB they had to give Bubba a window for his power so he could not hit the unhooked survivor twice during his sweep, so given that I don't think it is fair to say that it is a noob comment, sure you might be able to get an unhook if you are willing to go down for it, but it doesn't guarantee that the guy you just unhooked doesn't go down seconds later after BT runs out.

Pressing Tokens is easy? Try to get constant 89 Bloodpoints for Chainsaw Sprint without addons. Try to get constant 111-112 Bloodpoints while using Award Winning Chili - then we can talk. And on higher level it does matter - even the smallest details.

Why Bubba is one of the hardest Killer in this game?

    1) Press Tokens perfectly - it's not that easy like I said ^.

    2) You need to zone very well with a Chainsaw - use your Tokens very efficiently - do not use your Chainsaw from far away and break a Pallet with 3 Tokens, because you are useless for the next 10-20 seconds.

    3) You need to know your distance with Chainsaw - use it from far away and catch a Survivor before he reach Pallet/Window.

    4) How to outplay Lockers (we have 3 very interesting methods to outplay them, but I will not introuduce them in here)

    5) How to use your Chainsaw in Unhooking Scenarios - how to get 2 Downs instead of 1 - even with Sprint Burst.

    6) Knowledge about bad / invisible hitboxes.

    7) How to outplay some bad hitboxes with a Chainsaw

    8) Flicking - you need to get a Pallet Side - make sure Survivor doesn't chain the loop - rev your Chainsaw - activate Chainsaw Sweep and then flick 180 in a correct place on the loop, if you do it too late Survivor can drop a Pallet from other side - if you do it to early Survivor can do another circle and you only break the Pallet with 2-3 Tokens.

    9) Knowing how to outplay most structures with a Chainsaw and more & more tricks with Bubba.

Like I said - most of you don't know these. I don't think that average Bubba should know everything - but average Bubba should use his Chainsaw in more creativ way and feel the distance with a Chainsaw at least.

It depends on how many pallets are on the map. If the map has many pallets, Beast Marks is needed to mind game. If map has the average number of pallets or less, Chilli is better to brute force the pallets. You can very quickly clear pallets with Bubba. After breaking 1 pallet with a Chainsaw, if you immediately start charging the Chainsaw (with double Chilli), the survivor will be forced to immediately drop the next pallet they run to and you will break it with the same charge. If there are no pallets, they just die.

Ojojoj your words hurt my Bubba soul a little bit. Double Chili is one of the worst combos on Bubba, because of heavy acceleration at the start & you have no speed from other addons. This combination is garbage.

Insta Rev Tech (2 tokens after Breaking a Pallet) is the best with Award Winning Chili & Beast's Marks. With double chili it does not guarante the down at all - I tested it and basically we need to press Tokens perfectly with double chili (we need 80-81BP in Chainsaw Sprint). With Beast's Marks & Purple Chili we can do it much easier.

If you want to "brute force" Pallets on the map you gonna lose this match. It's not DBD 2017-2020 where this tactic was decent. You need to zone very well and use your Chainsaw at specific loops very well and without Beast's Marks it's very hard to do.

Players who pick Bubba are bad at the game? What is this ridiculous claim xD There are some great Bubbas when we look at the one playing in the Bubba vs Billy Show Matches Otzdarva did...

I main Bubba since 2019 and I agree with the statement that 99% Bubba Players just don't know how to use their power properly.

Bubba is one of the hardest Killer at current Dead By Daylight, because his Power at average skill level (99% of Bubba players) is good only against Low Tier Survivors players. I'm pretty sure that 99% of Dead By Daylight Killer Players can not press his Tokens at decent level. Players don't know how to outplay loops with a Chainsaw, players don't know how to avoid some Tantrum, they don't know how to play at Unhooking Scenarios, they don't know how to outplay Lockers & more & more... - Bubba's Advanced Playstyle should be more popular - especially at current Dead By Daylight.

We received Two Showcases about Bubba

    1) Two years ago with Mathis playing against Hens, Eventic & KL.

    2) 4 Months Ago with me playing against Elysium (Top1-2-3 Team Im not sure at this moment) at "Comp Survs Vs Pub Killers" Showcase.

We have showed how Bubba can outplay loops - even against best Survivors in the game. It's very far away from Pub Matches. Like we can not compare this even in 1%. Now we can think what strong Bubba can do in Pubs - don't get me wrong - Bubba is strong, but he requires high level of skill & knowledge. He only needs 2-3-4% Speed Buff during his Chainsaw Sweep, because without Beast's Marks addon he loses his potential to outplay loops efficiently.

And why I mentioned Facecamping Bubbas at the start? I wanted to prepare myself to agruments like "Buuuu, he can camp efficiently, you can not rescue against him - bla bla bla" - like typical noobs comments.

  • @adsads123123123123 said:

Bubba was always a bad killer. People only picked him to face camp. Bubba actually has the 2nd lowest kill rate in high mmr. Now that camping has been nerfed, he needs buffs.

Firstly, Tantrum is far too punishing. Bubba has the most punishing power in the game. There is no other killer in the game that basically gets stunned for 8 seconds when they fail their power. Tantrum should be removed. Instead, Bubba should be temporarily slowed when he bumps. I discuss this here. Tantrum is far too difficult to avoid and is the main thing holding back most people from playing him. Even the top Bubba player in the world regularly bumps into walls, which just show how difficult it is to avoid bumping.

Secondly, his Sweep needs to be longer by default. Bubba is basically unplayable without Chilli since his Sweeps don't last long enough to get hits. Otz discuses this in his video.

8 seconds Tantrum is possible only with Depth Gaue Rake addon - nobody uses this addon. So 7 seconds is more usual - not 8 seconds.

I wouldn't remove Tantrum Mechanic - we can slightly decrease Tantrum duration - that's okay.

In my opinion Bubba doesn't need longer duration at first place - he needs Chainsaw Sweep movement speed from Beast's Marks and this addon should be base kit.

Actually Top Bubba doesn't bump into the object very often. Probably 1 Time per 10 matches and usually because of some worse hitboxes.

I would prefer Chainsaw Sweep movement speed buff than duration, because Bubba's Acceleration Code works in weird way.

He reaches max speed after 60% of his first charge - it means that longer charge = longer acceleration = acceleration is bad.

Only Bubba Mains understand how strong Beast's Marks is and how important it is for Bubba at higher level and it should be base kit. 99% players overrate Chili Addons.

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/396822/cannibal-needs-a-small-buff

Tantrum can happen ramdomly too and even for quite good bubba on new maps with stuff. I would decrease tantrum duration or just remove it and hitting walls should then only slow down bubba. Buffing from 132 to 136 is too much. 134 however could work.

Current Cannibal can reach 139% movement speed with The Beast's Marks & Knife Scratches together.

Removing Tantrum? Nah... They need to just fix some hitboxes and that's all about the Tantrum.

With only Beast's Marks Cannibal reaches 136.21% speed and 99% players don't know how to use this addon properly.

I would say Bubba should receive a buff and increase his speed to 135% and that's all. It's just single stat buff. Not duration, cooldowns or recharge rates - only speed.

  • @myersgoestochurch said:

The last thing thid game needs is a bubba buff.

It was only suggestion and only 1 change suggested. BHVR really like to make little Killer Tweaks and I think it would be perfect for Bubba. What they have done with Trickster? They changed him completely... they could just make him 4.6 without other buffs...

  • @UndeddJester said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/396822/cannibal-needs-a-small-buff

I've seen calls to make the Chilli add-ons partially basekit, as they are very common on Bubba for essentially the same reasons.

With this change, the Chilli add-ons would definitely need hard nerfing, as they already do a lot, and would be busted with this change. Not sure if a speed buff or duration effect would be better.

Regardless I think Bubba could use an add-on pass in general, and ofc keep having collisions ironed out on maps.

Chili Addons apply hidden penalties on acceleration. I don't care about Chili addons. The Beast's Marks addon allows Bubba to very skillful playstyle and Bubba just needs this addon at base kit.

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/396822/cannibal-needs-a-small-buff

So let me get this right... You're basically saying people played Bubba to facecamp, and now they can't do that anymore, because of the anti-face camp feature, so they stopped playing Bubba... And you think by buffing him those guys will come back? That does not really make sense...

Or was that whole introduction just not in any context of why you think he needs a buff?

No. Bubba needs a buff, because he struggles against better Survivors and he has no mobility.

  • Survivors got used to play with very strong perks and now they can not appreciate them. That's my honest opinion.

SWF can bring 16 strong perks & 4 Items with strong addons as well.

Killer can use only 4 Perks that are not stronger than Survivors Perks. Okay. We shouldn't compare Survivor Perk to Killer Perk.

But it's easy to notice how much value only 1 Survivor Perk can make.

What strong perks Survivors can use at current DBD? Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing, Adrenaline , Unbreakable, Resilence, Windows Of Opportunity, Buckle Up, For The People, Made For This, Hope and more and more, but not that strong at these things.

    I need to repeat this - it's 4 Perks Vs 16 Perks.

    What Killer can play?

Pop Goes The Weasel - he need to down someone first and carry him to the hook and next hope than Survivors will not finish the gen before he kicks it.

Pain Resonance - to get constant value from this Perk Killer needs to chase different Survivors.

Only these two Perks Regresion are strong and viable.

Dead Lock & No Way Out - only 2 decent slowdown perks.

Aaaaa I forgot Distorion on Survivor side - it basically reveals Killer's Perks and let them avoid Aura reveal. Poor Huntress...

I didn't mean Bubba in general I mean the unhealthy gameplay he can do has no real counterplay. He can still proxy camp very effectively and once a survivor is unhooked there's basically nothing they can do the escape him. Most killers you can trade against and manage hook states to win against bubba you really can't do any of that. A bubba that's out to ruin the game can do it better than pretty much any other killer for basically no effort. Any other insta down killer can only down 1 survivor and has to trade in most cases. I don't think you normal playing Bubba is unfair.

Corrupt punishes you for doing good early and robs you of a snowball if you play really well. I refuse to accept adrenaline rewarding you for doing gens with a free health state and SB ignoring exhaust and working off hook if something like corrupt can't exist how it did it makes no sense to reward doing gens but punish downing survivors this can also be said about perks like NOED, survivors do 5 totems and i'm out of a perk before I can even use it but if I down a hook survivors they still get value out of their adren. Rewards survivors for doing side objectives but punishes the killer for doing main objective. Counterplay should exist on both sides if I down or hook a survivor they shouldn't get adren and it's even worse if everyone has it and you down 3 people then the last one finishes the final gen. I was making a comeback and just lost all my momentum and chance at said comeback because a perk rewarded them for doing down

I personally believe SWF should've just came with slight nerfs to compensate having comms as opposed to solo Q being buffed. If i'm on the hook and everyone is ignoring it because they don't know who is being chased/on a gen/doing nothing etc. that's something that can be avoided with the simple perk kindred (which people STILL ignore btw and will let someone die on hook). If someone needs healing or a protection hit I don't need to know who's in chase I can run empathy and see it for myself. They gave solo Q the tools to be in par with SWF (maybe not as precise due to real time call outs) but people ignored it in order to run the most busted stuff the game had to offer. Anything a SWF can do there are perks to let them do the same and nobody runs them because they aren't busted. That's a player issue not a SWF/Solo issue. Not everyone needs MFT,Adren,Windows,X-exhaustion perk but everyone chooses to do it if that's the risk you want to take fine but we shouldn't reward being lazy/stubborn. (Also for the record I do think survivors should be able to see each others perks in the lobby)

It's so funny when people use "camping" argument only when talking about Bubba. Is it a real problem when Bubba can get his 1 kill in the endgame? Bubba has many weakneses like windows & bad hitboxes on the maps. I think Bubba is one of the best balanced Killers in the game. If he makes mistake - 5-8 second Tantrum (against decent Survivors it's gg). If Survivor makes a mistake - he is downed. And Bubba is a very skillful killer at little bit higher level than "W" on the loops with Chainsaw. But 99% just don't know how to play him properly. It's not DBD 2017 when basic stuff works.

So then kill rates should be extremely low, if the perk is so OP that it "literally destroys the game."

Also, holy ######### I called it. Someone was trying to tell me the perk is better now because of the Endurance lol

This perk is extremely strong and very unhealthy for the game that's what I meant with "OP" & "destroying the game".

They nerfed Eruption so hard and that was good decision and now this perk is just decent - nothing special.

Now they nerfed Made For This and it is a good decision. This perk gonna be still decent, because of Endurance Status Effect and situational Haste Effect. That's very good, because only strong players will get a value from Haste Effect, because they need to use Dead Hard perfectly and take a chase.

All the Killer aura reading perks are good if you're good at chase. With the exception of Grim Embrace which has only pretty niche uses all of the blocking perks are pretty good. Pain Resonance and Floods of Rage are good (once again if you can take advantage of the situation) and Gift of Pain has some decent situational uses.

Gen regression perks overall suck (I think CoB and Overcharge should just go back to 200% and not be stackable) and Hex perks are mostly garbage (with the exception of Devour Hope and the Plaything Pentimento combo). At the very least getting a 5 stack of Pentimento is fun.

Killers do have a lot of good perks although quite a few are garbage. Do you think that the garbage perks should just remain garbage because Killers do have strong perks? If not, you can't argue the same for Survivor perks without being hypocritical.

Or are you arguing that the Endurance effect for MfT and a condition that isn't proccable by a Survivor makes it a 'good' perk? We've only seen it on paper but it sounds pretty terrible. I think you're being biased and I have a strong suspicion that if it were a Killer perk getting this treatment (like Eruption's original proposal) your reaction would be completely different.

It was good decision that they nerfed Eruption and I wasn't crying about it.

Grim Embrace and Hex Perks are trash if you want to play for win.

Overcharge & Call Of Brine shouldn't come back at 200% speed even without stacking.

They can buff both perks to 150% Regression Speed, but I wouldn't touch these perks. For me these perks are not very healthy, because Im not lazy Killer Main. I want to do something to get a value from my perks. That's why I use Pop & Pain Res mostly.

Don't forget - it's 16 perks vs 4 perks (I don't even count items) and single Survivor perk can be stronger than single Killer perk.

Good examples are Sprint Burst & Adrenaline. These perks are extremely strong - I don't find any Killer perk that can be compared to these perks with strenght. My honest opinion.

For me 3% speed from MFT shouldn't be a thing - never. If someone thinks 3% is "balanced" he is just Survivor Main and wants to abuse it so hard or he just don't understand the game.

I'd be pleased if they removed the Endurance.

It didn't make sense for the perk

It's so funny for me when Survivors try to act like they don't want this OP perk in this game and they suggest a nerf that will not change anything... The speed is a problem... This perk literally constantly destroyes the game...

Made For This is very annoying to play against. Even I hate this perk, I think Sprint Burst is the best perk for Survivors - always was. Survivors just got used to these type of strong perks and most of Survivors don't get it how insane perks they have.

  • Of course you just mentioned that one perk that can not be very strong from all I mentioned...

Boon Exponential I meant the most when I said about "Boons". Other perks I mentioned bad>?

    It's so funny...

  • Most of players just don't understand how free 3% speed powerful is... This type of boost needs really heavy requirement and Deep Wound is good enough. Still only Endurance Effect makes it Perk better than 70% of Killer Perks KEKW

  • @TheSubstitute said:

It seems like it's going onto the scrap heap along with perks like Ruin (almost never seen either as it being a hex with only 100% regression and deactivation as well), CoB, etc

I much prefer it when I have a buffet of good options to pick from and now it's really back to SB, Lithe or BL for exhaustion options. To be honest, I was expecting a nerf to the speed boost as current MFT way outperforms Dark Theory. However, with the proposed change, I don't really see any reason to equip it other than if I know I'll see a Legion or Deathslinger.

I'm all for the necessity of making balance changes but can we not make things almost useless when they happen, please?

BHVR didn't kill this perk. Don't forget about Endurance Status Effect - that's the first thing.

Secondly - Made For This will be good with Dead Hard together. But, you need to press Dead Hard very well to get a value from 3% speed. It requires at least some skill now. You can not get it for free.

Survivors have a lot of strong perks - even stronger than Killer's.

Dead Hard / Sprint Burst / Lithe / Balance Landing / Adrenaline / Hope / Made For This / Unbreakable / Boons / Off The Record / DS / Distortion / Dramaturgy / Windows Of Opportunity / Resilence & more & more... And Survivor Team have 16 perks, not 4 like a Killer - remember that.

    Good ideas however...

Grease - I don't think bubba should have a charge time add-on. Billy makes sense since he has to rev 25% longer and has an easier time being dodged. It could, however, restore a single token immediately after shredding through a pallet/wall. (Just the one used to break it; I'm not looking to give him an Alch Ring). If that's too much, then you could replace its aura blocker with decreasing crawl speed a la Knock Out (though, lose the TR based condition)

Immediately rechargin 1 Token when Breaking a Pallet would be very unhealthy & it would be extremely strong.

With Beast's Marks you can rev your Chainsaw immediately after a Breaking a Pallet and catch a Survivor with 2 Chainsaw Tokens.

With your suggestion I could do it with 3 Chainsaw Tokens much easier and I could use my Chainsaw Tokens less careful - that's not good.

I don't understand why you think 12% of faster rev would be too strong or unhealthy or whatever. It's just 12% and no more addons for that. If we could mix addons and get more than 20% or something - okay. But in this scenario I think It would be perfect.

    Other suggestion to

    The Grease

Decreases Chainsaw cooldown duration after missed Chainsaw Attack by 0.3 seconds per each Charge spent.

Decreases Chainsaw cooldown duration after successful Chainsaw Attack by 0.5 seconds.

    Vegetable Oil

Decreases Chainsaw cooldown duration after missed Chainsaw Attack by 0.2 seconds per each Charge spent.

I didn't mention Chainsaw Sweep acceleration. I mentioned Revving Movement Speed. I took it from Wiki. And it's right, because it feels like it in game. Only after 1 second Bubba gets really heavy slowdown during his Revving Time.

charging rev time is when your holding chainsaw before you use it. m/s is 86.25%. default charge time is 2 seconds. The rev time that wiki is talking about is his acceleration.

Long Guide Bar - increase the Revving Movement Speed by 15%? You are crazy. It would be one of his best addons.

if this addon would increases Revving Movement speed from 86.25% to 90% it would be balanced. Good and simple addon. At least useful in some ways.

i do not think you will notice that much of difference at 3.5%. at 15%, he would move at 103.5%. you would not lose any distance for holding out the chainsaw. he would barely be faster then survivor running speed. most of the time your using chainsaw max distances so I think survivor would not have trouble defeating bubba with this effect. it would just be funny to look at.

Depth Gauge Rake with 2% speed bonus would be very strong addon. One of the best. 2% is very very strong effect.

With Beast's Marks it would be almost 139% movement speed and 8 seconds of use... For me it wouldn't be too strong at current DBD but would be controversial.

I agree that it would be controversial. that is why i think his add-on are better off staying bad even though they could be really strong. current bubba is precise killer but if his add-on become strong then he becomes somewhat easy to play because you do not need as much precision on his power. that is why i think he is fine where he is.

Revving Movement speed is like I said - I took it from Wiki

    0 - 0.3s 109.25%

    0.3 - 1s 86.25% (from 109.25%)

    1 - 2 s 86.25%

Chainsaw Sweep acceleration is like he raches max speed after 60% of his first charge - two different things.

Let's end this conversation because it's pointless when someone just doesn't know things.

  • Most Bubbas don't know how to use his Power.

I didn't mention Chainsaw Sweep acceleration. I mentioned Revving Movement Speed. I took it from Wiki. And it's right, because it feels like it in game. Only after 1 second Bubba gets really heavy slowdown during his Revving Time.

Shop Lubricant - Blindness? Because good against SoloQ? We shouldn't add perks or addons that are good only against SoloQ, right? If this addon would decrease cooldown after Breaking a Pallet for example 10 or 15% it wouldn't be to much and still he would has more better addons like Award Winning Chili or Beast's Marks.

if this addon would increases Revving Movement speed from 86.25% to 90% it would be balanced. Good and simple addon. At least useful in some ways.

During this event we can get 10 (or 15%?) movement speed bonus from Pumpkin and I used it when Revving and it was amazing. Very powerful.

The Grease - if you use Chainsaw just from big distances - it wrong playstyle. Bubba should be very careful when using Chainsaw Charges. If you use 3 Tokens to just break a Pallet, it's very bad. I don't want to make these addons OP. Decrease time required to charge a Chainsaw by only 12% wouldn't make him too strong, but it would be very nice & simple addon to use.

Homemade Muffler - 0 noises from Chainsaw? On Bubba? For what? I don';t get it... Completely useless.

Depth Gauge Rake with 2% speed bonus would be very strong addon. One of the best. 2% is very very strong effect.

With Beast's Marks it would be almost 139% movement speed and 8 seconds of use... For me it wouldn't be too strong at current DBD but would be controversial.

Award Winning Chili also aplies hidden penalty about acceleration.

yes and no. see, bubba acceleration only happens on first charge of chainsaw. every chainsaw sweep after 1st charge is full movement speed because it is adding additional 2 second duration to chainsaw. that why award chili add so much distance on perfectly timed chainsaw extension because your adding 2.5 x2 for 5 extra second of full speed as opposed to 2 x2 for 4 seconds of speed at no downside. the scale of acceleration only applies to his first charge and downside is very minimal.

this was also why tuning guide was so terrible because tuning guide scales his acceleration into 1 charge so movement speed scaler was taking his entire 1 charge and accelerating entire 7.5 seconds of his chainsaw. now after the fix, it scales only his first 2.5 seconds of acceleration and makes you move full speed for additional remaining seconds of his chainsaw. Tuning guide is still terrible because 3 tokens = 1 pallet break. tuning guide also is kinda useless because skilled bubba can time all chainsaw sweeps perfectly. as a result, the tuning guide removes all control from bubba because he cannot allocates the tokens per loop. The only positive way to use his tuning guide is with iri flesh to slug but as long you go to a pallet and camp it, it removes any snowball potencial from the chainsaw.

Are you saying that Beast's Marks is weaker than Award Winning Chili?

of course, you can do the math. If you add 1 extra second of chainsaw, you move an extra 5.28 meters+some extra from acceleration in 1st sweep. the survivor during this time moves at 4.0 m/s. i will not use 5.28 number. I will use like 5.5 because I don't know details enough with that scaling speed. ~5.5 - 4.0 = 1.5 meters gained.

For beast marks, we need wiki to understand this.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FYIGN6ZBR9RN/image.png

this is a lot harder to calculate because lw in first charge is going from 86.25% ->132.25% so that 3% is scaling on first charge. I am just going say that it is 0.12 x 2 seconds to take raw value of speed. so you get estimated ~+0.48 meters of distance. for 2nd and 3rd charge, 132.25 - 136.21 is roughly 3.96% speed. 4% is about 0.16 m/s. assuming you perfectly time his chainsaw, you get 0.64 meters of distance. in total, your getting about 1.13 meters of distance but this get worse. you see, the beast marks also have - penalty to charge time. this means that if survivor running forward, you are losing m/s for longer amount of time. Bubba's default chainsaw time is 2 seconds for 86.25%. With beast marks, it becomes 12% longer. so now it is 2.24 seconds. 0.24 * 0.55 is 0.132 meters extra lost. so to conclude, you are getting around ~0.98 meters of catch-up.

1.5 meters is greater then 0.98. so yes award chili is better individually speaking. beast mark becomes better when your duration on chainsaw is longer. this is because your catching up the survivor sooner. as a result, the survivor running forward for less time. so between running purple chili+yellow chili vs purple chili & beast mark. the beast mark is superior compare to yellow chili. I have played a lot of cannibal as well. I have never done math like this but I could feel that award chili would do more for me on average then beast marks.

    About Revving Movement Speed

    0 - 0.3 seconds 115% ---> 109.25%

    0.3 - 1 second 109.25% ---> 86.25%

    1 - 2 seconds 86.25%

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 10
