Honestly, smaller chainsaw environment collision and better and more accurate collisions on maps are all the buffs I think he needs.

Completely dissagree. He needs huge buffs at base kit to acutally compete against "not bad" Survivors.

Most things look really good... just a couple of questions:

    1) Chilli

Regarding the green Chilli add-on, with the base chainsaw speed increase, and the base duration increase, 20% here means he gets 3 seconds chainsaw dashes moving at quite a pace. I assume you are including the Chainsaw Dash windows here? Or is that windows remaining at 2.5 to only effectively apply to his final dash?

Only reason I ask, is as a layman, if the 3 second dash is combined with a 3 second dash window, that gives more than both Chilli add-ons combined currently, which if he's moving faster at base, makes this add-on look pretty frigging strong, especially for a green, and when combined with Iridescent Flesh or Beast Marks to nudge things up even further. If it keeps the 2.5 window however... then that effectively only make his last dash benefit from chilli... so that's a significant difference.

    I'm a Bubba scrub, so I don't really know... but it sounds strong, and I know Chilli's are a popular add-on. ^^

    2) Iridescent Flesh

The 5 seconds lock on tantrum, I assume that only applies to tantrum from hitting terrain, not tantrum built up from revving? Cause you seem to have done quite a bit of work to make hook camping ineffective... and yet this add-on seems like it can remove it ^^

    3) Tantrum Charges 4 & 5 - Speed Limiter

For Speed Limiter, the fact you already don't instant down is a pretty massive penalty... and likely you'll be hitting walls trying to make your single hits count... and without a down on a healthy survivor, a tantrum of 7.5s is pretty damn punishing here. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the tantrum reduction, like the opposite to beasts marks?

Otherwise, pretty damned solid far as I can see.

About Green Chilli Add-On. I was thinking and maybe you are right. I made another idea for this Add-On.

    1) Chainsaw Window would be increased by 0.5 seconds in base kit (same as current Award Winning Chili) and Chilli Add-On from my list wouldn't increase it. With this Add-On every Token duration would be 3 seconds (increased from 2.5 seconds). It would be strong Add-On, but I made his Add-Ons in the way where it will not be Overpowred. In my Bubba Concept with even best Add-Ons, Bubba wouldn't be even close to for example Blight, Nurse, Spirit etc etc. He would be B+ Killer and with the best Add-Ons maybe A-.

    2) Only Tantrum from bumping into an objects.

    3) I didn't want to decrease Tantrum duration by 1, 2 or even more seconds, because it would look very weird if someone would run this Add-On with Chainsaw File. For example 2 or 3 seconds Tantrum would look very weird. With Speed Limiter Bubba should be limited in some situations and this situation is what you mentioned. Good Bubba can hit Survivors through the windows and don't Tantrum.

Reminder, this is a bug report, not a discussion thread!

It is a bug so I reported it in here many times :(

  • Billy is completely fine. I don't know why bad players complain only about Billy (and Nurse etc etc.) when they can not keep up with even weaker Killers than Billy. Let's nerf Bubba maybe, huh? When I play SWF with not that good Players, but they have like 1-1.5k Hours, we made more than 1 Billy without any hook stages...

  • just don't waste time for this Killer anymore pleaseeeee, focus on Freddy, Myers and tweaks for D/C/B Killers like Knight or Bubba...

I just don't want to waste another Midchapter which will ONLY atempt to fix annoying character. I prefer to get Freddy Rework / Myers for example

  • Billy is Noob stomper and that's true. Noobs can not keep up with Billy and 90% of all Killers so It doesn't mean anything.

For me Billy is fine and it's very fun to play against Billy - good Billy can actually play for 12 Hooks and make the match very fun for both sides - that;s my opinion.

  • I have many add-ons ideas in my document file, but I will share with only 1 to every Killer I have:

    The Executioner

    The Pig

Some of these killers do need some base buffs like Myers, others not so much.

Singularity is just hard to play, which is why his kill rate and pick rate are low. Unless he was buffed to where his skill was made lower and he was made stronger, I don't see either of these stats changing (but I think making a killer both stronger and easier is risky).

Artist could do with an addon buff here and there but she is a strong killer make no mistake.

Skull merchant is so high because people simply just quit against her.

Cannibal needs his chillies to be part base kit.

All the others I agree with to be honest

He needs more movement speed during his Chainsaw Sweep. I main Bubba since 2019 and at current state Bubba without speed addons is very limited - basically I can play without Chili, but playing without speed is so painful.

The 2nd part about that mod makes me kind of sad tbh... Either there are so many bugs in the game that they just forget some and they need to be spammed with it or what not... I mean good for you if you have the energy and good will for that... But honestly if you have to force people towards their luck (in this case fixing bugs they would want to be fixed) by spending that much time on I would not necessarily think that would be worth my time...

You should not need to spam bug reports... You should need exactly 1 for them to either tell you there is no bug, they will look into it or the fix is on the way... But spamming a bug report for weeks should not be necessary...

Like I have no power to make them read every post, right? I just want my Killer to be fixed and I did everything I could to make it real and that's all.

I don't know man if it was a relevant topic for the community it would stay up regardless and there would not be a need to just repost it every week or so... Sometimes your effort just goes to waste if people don't agree with it, even though you might be correct with your assumption and idea. I just don't see much value in such a repost, if it does not get the attention of the community as I don't think the devs have time to read every single post, and if they read a post and deem the idea good then I don't see a reason to repost either because would have probably copied the idea for later when it will be relevant.

The idea of the post is the same, but now I prepared more things. I created ideas to the new addons, base kit changes, QoL changes with accuracy and with the specific numbers.

Additionally, sometimes we need to spam a little bit - why? Because I posted the same bug or whatever 30 times they finally fixed that. The Mod even said thank to me to nor giving up and constantly reporting the same bug and others bugs.

My posts fixed Carburetor Tunning Guide on Bubba and his cooldowns afer successful Chainsaw Attack. So please, do not change the idea of this post and you can share with your thoughts about the concept. Thanks.

I agree with your points but this is not excuse for terrible survivor perks.

And they are also ignoring killer-sided maps as well. Borgo is full with dead zones and they are doing nothing. Saloon and Midwich always got high kill-rates and super killer-side and they did nothing as well.

But then you are seeing they are giving buffs to Huntress and Blight, which never ever needed. Do we really needed to buff Huntress? Or give another op add-on to Blight?

Too many updates and we are barely getting anything for survivors. It feels like they just have nothing for survivors.

What strong Perks Survivors have? Let's count: Adrenaline / Sprint Burst / Lithe / Balance Landing / Dead Hard / Resilence / Deja Vu / Windows Of Opportunity / Unbreakable / Deliverance / Hope / Background Player / Buckle Up / For The People / Distortion / Boon Exponential / Off The Record / Decisive Strike / Prove Thyself / Reasurrance / Second Wind / We'll Make It.

Additionally many of these perks are for free since the start. Killer has anything comparable to that...

Additionally 85% of maps are Survivor sided. Only 15% of maps are almost balanced (but they are not Killer Sided).

Survivors have strong items such a Comodious Toolbox with charges addons or Brand New Parts.

Blight right now is nerfed compared to Blight before Patch 7.5.0 and that's a fact.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

We are getting new fun killers ( Chucky, Xeno, Larry ). UW and Friends Until End are good and fun perks. GE also buffed and now it's meta too.

Billy also buffed to very fun level. Sadako is in good spot right now, she is really so fun after her last rework.

I am not complaining about killer content. But we are getting nothing but garbage for survivors.

Ellen got bad perks, there was amazing suggestions for make them viable. But no. Ignored. And now nobody uses them.

Gabriel got MfT and it nuked to ground. This perk deserved to be nerfed tho but still Gabriel did not give us any good perk. Non of his perks are seeing in trials.

Alan Wake got with amazing bad perks. If i would rank survivors by their perks Alan Wake would sit on F tier. And sad thing, there was really good suggestions for his perks as well but nothing happened ofcourse. Even his first week, i did not see anyone uses his perks. Even Champion of Light.

There was chance to make Quick Gambit viable but no, we only got meh number tweaks and called it a day. Ofcourse this perk is still dead as before.

Survivors are getting bad and bad content, nothing good. Tomorrow is PTB and we all know new survivor will have another 3 garbage perks nobody will use.

We are getting tweaks for few killers for next update and some of them are really excited. But what survivors are getting? Nothing.

Again, i am not complaining about killers are getting good content. But problem is that, survivors are not getting enough content. It feels like BHVR is just don't care about survivors.

Survivors already have a good content. They can play with friends and have fun together. Survivors have more useful and fun perks to as than Killers. I can tell 20 perks immediately. On Killer everyone run slowdown - why? Because they want to play a match more than 4-5 minutes and use their Power many times. Survivors don't respect things they already have in the game.

yeah but they added 10% pallet break to killer base-kit. shouldn't demo keep barbed glasses to scale with the change? i am honestly disappointed that demo portals did not get buffed. killer barely use them. I wish he got a bit more love.

Shred cooldown after Breaking a Pallet is 2 seconds - not 3 seconds. With your logic they should buff for example Bubba's / Billy's Breaking speed etc etc.

It is not really worth it. Bubba has an Instadown, so you would not need Blood Favor anyway. Also he can get rid of Pallets pretty quickly.

    @Topic:

Good choice not running Bamboozle. It is a Perk which really makes Killers lazy and not learn how to run Tiles. IMO some Killers really rely too much on it and while it was implemented to deal with strong Window Loops, people use it on every Loop and just dont learn how to run them properly.

If you want to use Bamboozle in efficient way you can't just vault every Window on your way. Strong Bubba can fake vaulting the window and immediately Rev the Chainsaw and catch a Survivor who press "W", because he expected a vault from the Bubba.

    Also play Shack without Bamboozle...

  • Bamboozle is the strongest chase perk on Bubba. If Bubba vault every window on his path - it's not perk's problem - sorry.

Bubba can fake vaulting the window and immediately rev the Chainsaw with good addons and outplay the loop.

Bamboozle also immediately destroy Shack & JGYM loop. It saves so much time.

Enduring is bad on Bubba, because you are very easy to get stunned - it means you don't break a Pallet with a Chainsaw - Breaking a Pallet with a Chainsaw grants 1 second cooldown.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    Hardly disagree.

DS is not busted anymore. Dead Hard is dead perk. UB is not meta. Healing got big nerf. Most of maps got nerfs and ended with big dead zones. Iron Will nuked, so it's easier to track survivors as well.

Gen tapping removed and killer gen-kick buffed. We are getting pretty strong killers. Killers still have good anti-gen meta which helps to slowdown the game.

It's actually the best state of game for killers right now.

I disagree that Dead Hard is dead perk and ds is a weak perk... but I will not explain why - not worth it

he's already very skilful because even 1-2 second late usage of his chainsaw leads often leads the survivor to just make it to a pallet. there is very narrow windows of opportunity for bubba to counter shift-w play but it also matters how you zone survivor and how you pressure survivor when they enter the loop. this is hard to describe but a lot of bubba's play relies of peer pressure for survivor to make a mistake in the chase.

my guess is that if you buff bubba, he will take less skill to play because you won't need to be as sharp at measuring distances for his chainsaw to be effective. His skill-ceiling will lower and skill-floor will lower. great accessibility to his power-level.

I main Leatherface since 2019 and I know what do you mean. But look at it... If you give 5 Tokens and 2x faster recharge for average player - it will be the same Bubba's level as pre-buff - trust me... If we look at higher level - Bubba needs the best addons to compete against stronger Survivors and that is true - sadly... In my opinion Bubba is one of the hardest Killers to play as on higher level.

If you play Bubba without Beast's Marks - you can not do much... and that's true. I just see it after 2-3k hours on him...

    His biggest problems right now:

    1) very bad acceleration code during the Chainsaw Sweep (shadow nerf patch 4.4.0)

    2) 60-70% of his addons are useless or pretty bad

    3) he NEEDS addons to compete against slightly better Survivors

    4) he has too many bugs and one of them is gamebreaking (tantrum bug)

To fix it I suggested my changes and these changes would fix his acceleration, his addons, he would be stront at base kit (like Billy right now) and that's it.

  • @Crowman said:

Considering that people were complaining about specific killer powers and their interaction with Lights Out, I imagine people will complain about killer pairings that are effective and the mode will not actually be as fun as many people hope it will be.

It depends of people honestly. Gamemodes should be only for fun - the lowest competetive aspect possible. Current DBD is very unbalanced - so who cares about 2v8 balancing...

  • @OrangeBear said:

The idea doesn't interest me. Too many balance problems and potential frustrations. For example chases probably won't work properly if 2 killers chase 1 survivor at once, but conversely, 1 survivor having 7 team mates to bodyblock them will be ridiculous. Then there would be ridiculous combos like legion and pig. It either to me sounds too frustrating or too much work that i would rather devs spend on something different.

Who cares about balancing problems in Gamemode? It's a gamemode for fun. That would be 1000x times better than normal matchmaking - especially if it would be playable in custom games.

why? dbd is trending towards hyper spam abilities like billy. The original iteration of bubba allowed him to spam chainsaw with no cooldown or any drawback. He should be partially reverted to have no cooldown or drawback similar to billy.

Old Bubba had a massive cooldown when he just tap M2 so I couldn't even bait using his Chainsaw to get the hit on the Pallet or bait Dead Hard. Also old Bubba was garbage. He couldn;t use his Chainsaw against people who know how to run 1 circle on the loop...

I believe that my suggestions would make Bubba still skillfull, but much stronger Killer.

  • @anarchy753 said:

I don't mind Bubba getting a buff to be a bit stronger, but only if it comes with something like "hitting a survivor who just unhooked or was just unhooked ends your chainsaw." Not a full tantrum, but for everyone one person out there playing Bubba well, there's 50 that just use his power to mow down an unhooker, hit the unhooked person and catch up and mow them down in the same chainsaw.

By all means buff his potential away from hooks, but all these suggested buffs would ALSO increase his filthy camper potential.

Only good Bubbas can down 2 people in "unhooking" scenarios. Most of Bubbas don't know how to press Tokens properly and when they should rev the Chainsaw (even if they camp). If it would possible to add something like this to remove Chainsaw when camping, but it's hard to implement

Bubba design was intended to create that effect where the killer "just misses you". They made this killer originally because dev thought it would be exciting for survivor chases to included a big scary chainsaw sprint where your running forward and the killer just misses you creating that big epic moment of escape.

That is why bubba had 1 charge originally. The irony is this design is that after rework, if your good at bubba, you create opposite effect where.... the killer just hits you on very last sweep on every single chainsaw. For me, that last part never gets old. It is very satisfying to perfectly time the chainsaw sweep to the very last hit.

what would be great for bubba is for spark plug, primer blub, award winning chili, beast marks, knife scratches and Yellow chili to all be base-kit add-on so that killer is not add-on dependent. Maybe add speed limiter bloodpoint base-kit then Bubba can be played add-on less and just be nice bloodpoint killer. The add-on themselves could be converted into freddy-level add-on. There is clearly an expert that knows how to design worthless freddy meme add-on's so just ask expert to design the filler add-on's.

That would be my suggest to buff Bubba (he would be B+ / A- Tier)

Double recharge base kit would create very braindead playstyle - everyone would spam Chainsaw. Only Purple Chili & Beast's Marks at base kit and it would be amazing.

It would be nice to see at least the yellow Chili base kit. For speed I'm not sure. I do pretty much alright even without it but I'm not an expert.

For a bunch of his other addons, it is definitely true that they aren't great.

Without speed on slightly higher level Bubba is very weak...

  • Current code also does not affect Depth Gauge Rake, because thsi addon doesn't increase duration of the Chainsaw Charge.

Deliverance only works if you actually get hooked. Killers who really want to tunnel out someone will leave the trader on the ground and go for the fresh unhook immediately. Reassurance is way better but also harder if not impossible to coordinate and a lot of soloQ players straight up ignore it. Reassurance is so good in fact that tournaments ban it so that they can focus on camping and tunneling.

against soloq you can play killer without any addons and 4k

  • One trade with Deliverance and your Tactic is outplayed. One counterplay with Calm Spirit against your Ultimate and you are also outplayed. If they gonna trade last second you gonna end the match with 2-3 Hooks and that's all - against a good (not that strong) SWF.

billy: no cooldown for missing and hitting: already strong, but they buffed the basekit cooldown, buffed the cooldown reduce addons

why???? what´s the point?? 4 times in a row dude, the same mistake, i´m not joking it´s not funny, billy is amazing, everything besides his non-existent cooldown feels good, but it is a huge problem, he´s an INSTA down killer, he´s not like nemesis and legion, both of them can´t actually down a survivor with their power without hitting them 4 trillion times (but they have a 2x longer cooldown for some reason and have no addons to reduce it)

    look that:

i literally can´t do nothing about it, he´s on my back, he missed 3 times and look, he´s still on my back, and he´s not even using both cooldown addons

The maximum buff this perk can get is to increase stun duration to 4 seconds.

    That's how balance works.

They can't make gens slower anymore with the current slowdown perks we have. I know you will say then nerf those perks and make gens slower but then killer will have free perk slots which will be used chase perks or information perks or perks like Plaything.

So you need to be careful with slowdown , you simply can break the game. And i don't even need to mention high tier killers. If you balance game around weak killers, high level killers will be just broken.

Eyrie is not bad map for killers with good chase power. But you simply can't nerf this map anymore. Just look Borgo and how terrible it is right now for survivors. Removing loops is good for weak killers but weak killers are on the rare side. So that's means you will go to against Blight, Wesker, Nurse, Spirit, Chucky, Xeno etc most of the time. And those killers are already so strong with good powers. Nerfing maps is simply means breaking them.

So except few maps, i don't think maps needs so much changes. Size is also another issue. If you make them so small, Saloon for an example, it will make game unbalanced for other side. Saloon and Midwich have high kill rates for a reason. We can't make maps like those two.

GoJ needs another nerf, maybe Eyrie should be smaller but non of loops should be removed. Haddonfield should get full loop rework, nerf houses and buff street. But nerfing maps to Borgo level will just break the game. And they should never balance maps around m1 killers because they are not so popular and most of killers have powers. Instead of nerfing maps, they need to buff weak killers. So they can play around strong loops.

Balance is not easy but i just disagree with DbD is favoring survivors more. Because my exp is just opposite. Playing survivor is feeling like hell and when i play killer, i am always finding fun and chill matches.

    1. Flashlights easy to counter? Do you see me? "Background Player".
    2. For The People & Buckle Up wasn't in upcoming Road Map.
    3. I think 80% of maps are Survivor Sided. Eyrie Of Crows, Garden Of Joy, Every Badham, Red Forest & more...
    4. Toolboxes are too strong. Survivor who bring 4 Toolboxes and they know callouts - they are kinda impossible to beat.
    5. Medkits needs some changes. For sure they need to nerf Syringe & add more interesting addons.
    6. Perks like Adrenaline, For The People, Buckle Up, Deliverance are too strong. Killer has only 4 perks, and his 4 perks sometimes are weaker than 4 perks on Survivor Side. They have 16 perks...

If someone who doesn't play both sides shouldn't even talk in here... And it's easy to notice who play mainly Survivor...

  • Also guys I am little bit surprised you didn't say anything about FTP Buckle Up comibnation, because it's literally no counterplay for that.

Kill Rate doesn't say anything. Basically if Killer lose his game very hard - Survivors throw and give him 1 or 2 Kills usually. Not always, but yeah... It happens very often in my opinion. Also Kill Rate at low MMR is probably very high, because nobody knows how to play and try to hide.

    huh?

    +7 rush tokens

normal turn rate (-55 turn rate penalty removed)

+5% speed instead of 10 (8% with crow)

    20 degree turn angle

and you think ring will be better than adren vial..?

ring + vial is gonna be silly..

It's 5% flat bonus, not stackable for each Token used like a Crow. That's your first mistake.

Normal turn rate is a deal, but for good blights it never matter to be honest.

+2 Tokens not +7 Tokens - he needs much time to recharge it...

  • The Hillbilly

Hillbilly deserved all buffs he got in this PTB. He is extremely fun to play as and against. That's important. Players can have fun with him and use his Chainsaw and don't worry about 50 kilometers distance for missed Chainsaw Attack. I have played Old 2016-2020 Hillbilly and the new Hillbilly really reminds me of old one. That's really good. Old Billy was perfect balanced. Current new Billy will be perfect balanced at current state of Dead By Daylight. I really like his addons. We can play bump addons, cooldown addons, engravings, overdrive duration / generation, turn rate addons, lopro, carburetor & more. Finally Billy doesn't need to run the same addons every match, because his base kit is strong now and he has more interesting addons.

    The Blight

    Interesting changes. We will see...

Adrenaline Vial seems not bad. Only 5% speed (was 10% before). Okay, he got 7 Tokens, but he doesn't have recharge buff. If Blight uses all 7 Tokens he needs so much time to recharge it. Alchemist's Ring will be better than Adrenaline Vial in my opinion and nobody complains about it and it really suprise me.

  • It will be way to counter second aspect of this combination - I mean D.M.S.

Survivor can wait 12 seconds and then start to repair the Generator. DMS will not activate. Survivors have a counterplay for that.

    Just saying.

If they want to nerf this combination, they also need to nerf Buckle Up, For The People, Background Player, Ultimate Weapon & Adrenaline. These perks are very unhealthy for the game.

  • Dead Hard is unhealthy perk - that's the biggest problem. You can put a insane flick / mindgame with Killers like Billy, Bubba, Wesker etc etc. and Survivor can press "E" and completely outplay you. It's not okay. I know it's not the strongest perk in the game - of course it's not, but it's very stupid & unhealthy perk and it neve should exist.

  • It doesn't matter, kill rate is very bad statistic. Bubba can camp last hook in basement and Survivors really like to throw the game with Bubba. And you didn't read what I said...

That can be said for all killers though. When you go against better players there’s always something that can buffed to help you in that situation.

I didn't mention strong Survivors with items and meta perks. Just good Survivors and average Bubba it's usually 3 hooks.

Bubba doesn’t need to be “his level” respectfully. Hillbilly really deserves this buff.

bubba is in a great state as is.

If you play against better players he is not. At least they should fix his acceleration on the Chainsaw. Half of his addons are useless and his base kit isn't strong.

I used to play Base-kit Bubba often but in order to do his flicks around larger tiles you need one of the engravings and the chili add-on. I like your ideas, but I would personally make the yellow Knife Scratches add-on for +2% faster movement speed (without the charge time reduction) base-kit and make each charge 0.25 seconds longer. Just a small base-kit buff that allows him to close in distances better and allow for using different add-ons rather than only Chili and Engravings.

Carburetor Tuning Guide is fine, it's an add-on that mainly relies on Haste perks such as PWYF since it's an add-on that turns him into old Bubba. It's one of my favorite killer add-ons in the game, as a matter of fact.

For the Tantrum window add-ons The Grease and Long Guide Bar: Give The Grease a cooldown reduction after missing a Chainsaw Sweep as well as reduced Tantrum Duration, and make Long Guide Bar destroy pallets faster with the Chainsaw. The Tantrum window add-ons are pretty useless because the mechanic is literally used as an anti face-camp mechanic, and using those add-ons to facecamp doesn't even help.

He needs more than 2% speed buff I feel like, but I like the ideas.

Fair point, you do need duration as well though since good players that know you dont have chilis even with speed will give you a run for your money. The distance you get between chillies and no chillies is huge.

Beast's Marks allows Bubba to actually outplay more Pallets , loops... Also duration addons apply hidden acceleration penalty.

Bubba is in a fine spot, he doesn't need any changes, no nerfs no buffs.

If Killer needs some addons to compete he is not in good spot...

I am amazed you did not mention incorporating the chili's into his basekit.

Of course this is really good (the purple one), but the speed is more important. I can play without duration, but I need speed.

  • @BlightedTrapper said:

Does new Billy really overshadow Bubba that much? Bubba still has more versatility than Billy, not to mention greater snowball potential.

Hillbilly has received 10% movement speed at base kit. It's massive. He doesn't need addons at all at his base kit. Bubba needs addons to actually compete at higer level. Bubba has no mobility. Bubba has now much longer cooldowns on the Chainsaw & Tantrum. Top Tier Bubba Vs Top Tier Billy wouldn't be comparable right now. Also Bubba has a lot of annoying bugs...
