  • I will put some screenshots from Wikipedia.

20% per second - it means it should take 5 seconds to trigger a Tantrum - not 3.

Please fix it or if it's intentional - give us information about that!

  • Yes. I'm pretty sure it's not intended, because we didn't receive any Patch Notes about potential Cannibal nerf.

It's very annoying, but I hope BHVR will fix it soon!

Additionally, at base kit it's not such a big problem, but it's very bad if you put some Add-Ons that modify his charge time.

If you put Depth Gauge Rake & The Beast's Marks together - if you want to charge a Chainsaw you need to do it - you can't stop for a mili second.

  • This bug needs a kill switch immediately

it is not as much of reduction of speed as previously 130%. it has upside of very long chainsaw with small enough pallet recovery. I could be wrong but i have feeling that you can pallet break→down if there is no loop nearby with 3 charge chainsaw post pallet break. what made this ineffective before is bubba chainsaw had too little duration. he couldn't run award chili, depth gauge and primor blub. he could only run 2/3 making the add-on bad. You don't need to outplay the loops if you instant break pallets. If the survivor cannot make it to next loop, it is effectively outplaying previously loop. that is one of the reasons why blight is good. who needs to outplay tiles if you can't connect the tiles.

I got numbers wrong as i added the buffed base twice. my point being is that double speed add-on bubba is still stronger then before.

I agree Bubba will be much stronger, but I don't think Depth Gauge Rake will be better than other options…

    The best combination will be:

    • The Beast's Marks & Primer Bulb
    • The Beast's Marks & Knife Scratches
    • The Beast's Marks & Iridescent Flesh

Basically The Beast's Marks & something - but with Depth Gauge Rake it doesn't have such a good connection I feel like.

they did. bubba in new version is 2% faster. that is exact amount that depth gauge puts negative on. statically, it is bubba best duration add-on because 0.35+0.35+0.35 = 1.05 second duration but depth gauge rake is full 2.5 second duration. It is nearly double duration.

Purple base-kit chili is huge buff because gives bubba an extra add-on slot and allows him to use depth gauge with only -18% charge time penalty. the difference between beast mark 12% and -18% is only 6%

in summary, you'll able to go near a loop around with chainsaw. let's say you use 2 charges. They drop the pallet, you wait about 3 second and now you have 3 charges with base-kit purple chili. The pallet break in front of the survivor will be so fast that they won't make it to next loop. That is something that only Blight really excel at.

    —

If you want to run speed bubba, it might be viable to run beast mark+knife scratches. i do not remember exact numbers but i think number were 2% and 1.5%. 2+1.5+base-kit 2% is 5.5%. You do take a 24% charge penalty but 5.5% speed is like really good. 5.35 will become 5.8 m/s. 6.0 is 150% m/s which is survivor sprint burst. bubba will be moving at 140% m/s for 5 second. 140% m/s for last 5 second of chainsaw is solid.

I am not sure which bubba style will dominate his play but both of them have merits. the big issue is that they still have not fixed eyrie of crows bushes. they're still infinities vs bubba because hitbox is so bad on those bushes. I only played bubba for 1 game in ptb and 1 game i did play. His chainsaw bugged. it had 0 charges and it crashed my dbd client. As a result, i could not test him.

First of all - I agree Bubba will be much stronger - I get it. But they should listen a little to Feedback they received and make couple changes that would make Bubba perfect for another 2-3 years.

They increased his movement speed from 132.25% to 133.75% at base kit - so it's 1.5% - not 2%.

Additionally - they nerfed Speed Add-Ons and if you put Speed Add-ons the speed will be almost the same compared current Bubba.

And your 5.8 m/s with double speed - I don't know how you got these numbers.

Double Speed will be 138.42% - almost the same as current double speed.

They just added Purple Chili base kit.

And Depth Gauge Rake - your move speed will be 131.07% - it's a massive nerf and 18% charge time penalty also is kinda heavy. How many times you'll use this 4th charge tho? But penalties are constant and that's a problem.

I hava massive experience on Bubba and I know how his Add-Ons work. Four Tokens on New Bubba will be better, but still you can run single Beast's Marks and it will be better than Depth Gauge Rake & Primer Bulb, because without additionall speed you can't outplay loops - you'll just eat Pallets. Eating Pallets in 2024 DBD? YOU LOST.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/415692/why-we-didnt-get-any-bubbas-changes-from-ptb-to-live

primor blub+depth gauge rake is 10 second of bubba chainsaw. I'd say he got buffed heavily. Beast mark+Yellow speed is also big buff. I am not sure which add-on combination is the best but bubba is going to be miles better.

Movement speed is more important than duration on Bubba. Depth Gauge Rake decreases move speed and increase charge time. Two big penalties. That's why many Bubba Players suggested to simply remove one of these two penalties to make this Add-on viable.

  • To be fair Bubba still can do it.

  • So many people posted their PTB Feedback about Leatherface and he needs small adjustments and BHVR of course just ingored it. Fine… At least he is getting Buff…

It's not about his place in a Tier list. It's about the general experience of his gameplay. Atm Clown players at a high level need to minimise their mistakes regularly. That means not wasting bottles above all else. The longer a chase goes on for, and the more Survivors can keep him occupied on them, the more likely Clown will be to lose.

Buffing the stuff that is the weaker part of his kit: his reload time, and movement speed while reloading would make it easier for Clown to feel like they can make more mistakes and not really be that impacted by it.

The base kit changes you made with the add-on buffs, on the whole, would allow Clown to be constantly on a Survivor once he's started a chase and end those chases even quicker. Even if the changes still kept him at B Tier like he currently is. They would be too much. The experience going against him would be lousy, since you wouldn't be able to punish Clown or capitalise on his mistakes often. And playing as him would feel brain-dead. I don't wanna play a game where simply equipping something makes it so I have the easiest time possible. Clown needs to have skill to his kit, and Clown needs to have negatives in order to allow proper gameplay to occur in his matches.

He can already force Survivors to interact with him, since pre-dropping is heavily punishable by Invigoration, and greeding pallets is punishable by Intoxication. Forcing interaction when you know you're gonna win said chase quickly would be a miserable time for both sides. Like I said in my original reply, buff the wrong things and Clown becomes a killing machine. There needs to be negatives to his kit in order for compelling and interesting gameplay :)

In my opinion it wouldn't change much, but it would make Clown feel much better to play as. Dead By Daylight doesn't need to be sweaty game where every Killer needs thousands hours of experience on certain Killers. Let's give Killers some nice buffs that will help beginners or weaker players. I main Bubba since 2019 and I don't have a problem that they tremendously decreased Tantrum duration, Tokens are easier to press, and collisions are not that bad. I just understand it's not only me in the game and there are other players - less experienced.

Was this reply for me? You never tagged it but the responses seem like they were to what I said lol

The Fingerless Gloves don't really have a negative, reducing the throw arc makes it so Clowns can't aim high with the bottle, but that only really affects outdoor maps that he's already really good on anyway. So having two add-ons for the same thing wouldn't be worth it.

Coup is a crazy good perk on Clown. There's a reason why a tactic to go against Clown in any tile is now to have huge balls and just never drop the pallet, and if he gets close camp it until he goes for an attack. Coup makes invigoration that much stronger, so having an add-on that makes Coup 100% instead of 80% and 20% bigger without it is a crazy strong add-on. Clown has the best 1v1 in the game out of all M1 Killers. He has since his release, imo, the Antidote made him an extra level above the rest. So a bigger lunge for an add-on would be a meta choice.

I wouldn't say nobody uses the reload movement speed add-on. It has it's uses. If you knew you were going to an indoor map, it'd definitely be a good choice. The best way to use it is: when you plan on reloading, you throw an Antidote and then start to reload, you'll be zooming along, losing minimal distance. It's not the best selection, because minimising Clown's weakness of having to reload and subsequently losing ground in a chase or while navigating the map, doesn't really compare to boosting Clown's 1v1 with Intoxication/Hindered or Invigoration/Haste add-ons. Doesn't mean it's a bad choice though. Making him faster at base kit, like you suggested would be one of those changes that pushes Clown into that oppressive state he could be by buffing the wrong things.

Give him even 2 times better anti loop and he will not be A tier. Killers without mobility or others advantages won't be too opressive.

Kind of yes, but then again by not implementing the full thing now and instead removing it, are you not just taking away the option to take the addon? And it still does not really explain why you don't put in the whole value of current barbs glasses.

BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THESE CHANGES IN 7.6.0 PATCH NOTES AND THEY WANTED FULL OLD GLASSES AT BASE KIT TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO RUN DIFFERENT ADD-ONS… Don't response to that because it's like talking with a wall.

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3725156#Comment_3725156

OK, and why did you not take the current version? So another 10% off of 1.8 seconds break speed?

Because many people were complaining about this change - they didn't put whole Barb's Glasses at base kit and everyone still play this Add-On so Demogorgon didn't receive any new options.

  • Old Barb's Glasses were decreasing cooldown by 15% and base breaking speed was 2 seconds. OLD I meant OLD not a recent one in the game.

As for what I meant with that… Apparently the break speed increase also suffers the same weird calculations… According to the wiki:

    https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Brutal_Strength

They changed Breaking Speed in Patch 6.1.0 that's why…

You did? 1.8-1.7 is 15% ? Is this one of these weird bhvr calcuations again similar to how gen speed works?

Can you read my message? "I gave full OLD Barb's Glasses"…
Before it was 2 seconds breaking speed at base kit and 15% Add-On. 15% from 2 seconds it's 0.3s.

  • @JustAShadow said:

More shred focused addons are welcome, I just don't think he needs any basekit buffs for the shred.

Nobody use Add-On to increase his move speed while charging Shred Attack. That's why part of it would be good in base kit I felt like.

Barb's Glasses - I gave full old Barb's Addon base kit. So players would run something else.

  • Spirit Of Hartshorn - It doesn't have penalty and let's increase the speed from 20% to 25%.

To be fair - 20% of increased lunge Attack wouldn't be crazy. Coup The Grace has 80% and when Clown runs it - it isn't very hated from Survivor POV.

Nobody runs Add-On to increased move speed while reloading, so I would implement it base kit (at least some part of it).

I understand your words, you probably has thousands of hours on him so your suggestions would be better.

  • @HPhoenix said:

    Clown main here.

    I like all these changes!

However, in my opinion, 3 sec reload time it's fine as it is. You have to change Cork since you're making it base kit

Also, what changes would you give Pinky?

I would make both bottles into 1 while using Pinky Finger. But, Haste Status doesn't affect Survivors.

Som you throw a Bottle - he is slowed down - and you can get speed boost from it.

But this Add-On would require some penalties.

  • To be fair I don't see bad things coming with Surge working on M2. Maybe you could add 10-15 seconds cooldown or something.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3722939#Comment_3722939

i agree, but i think it is better to just put iri stone. it set traps up passively for trapper and if a trap is disabled, the add-on can reset it over time.

I was thinking about it and yeah it would make him much better.

  • Bubba on PTB isn't bad, but he needs current beast Add-Ons base kit.

  • 130-150% and it would be completely fine

  • Leatherface deserved these buffs. I would go even further with movement speed buff (just a little bit).

Bubba at the moment has 5/6/7/8 seconds stun duration when bumping into an object.

He has 3.5 seconds cooldown when he misses his Chainsaw Attack while using 3 Chainsaw Charges.

He has a big acceleration time during the Chainsaw Sweep duration.

He has only a few good Add-Ons. Base Kit Bubba is unplayable.

More arguments? I can write 123451235 things more. Thank you. The guy who made this post is a Survivor Main with 300-400 Hours probably. Sorry.

  • With nerfed pop that hard they could leave alone Pain Resonance in my opinion. Pain Resonance was very painful to play against when paired with Pop Goes The Weasel.

I'm a little bit worried about 20 seconds cooldown on Background Player… But we'll see.

Wesker changes are great. They bascially nerfed his Tunneling potential. They could give him something for that though.

Leatherface changes are great, but I hope Chili Add-Ons will be useful, because if Yellow Version of Chili will increase the duration only by for example 0.15 seconds or something like that this Add-On will be completely useless. Additionally, I hope they will do something with Tantrum Add-Ons, because having for example 2 seconds Tantrum would look very weird with specific Add-Ons. Carburetor Tuning Guide & Depth Gauge Rake don't need speed penalties. I can't wait for these changes!

Deathsligner - very small changes, but it's nice they touched him a little bit.

Deadlock change really surprised me - not gonna lie. Only 4 uses per match. Kinda easy to outplay this Perk. Hmmmm. Okay.

  • Yeah. Remove Bubba's Power near the hook and Survivors will just come before last a few seconds to unhook and Bubba won't be able to do anything. We can talk about nerfing his Power near the hooked Survivors, if Bubba would be very strong. Upcoming buffs don't make him very strong, just a little bit stronger. I completely dissagree with your statement.

They did a great job with Wesker in my opinion. These changes will decrease using his Power for Tunneling. They could give him a small buff in some way though. But, in my opinion it's very good.

Deathslinger buffs are very minor, but it's a buff and it's nice. He will lose less distance while reloading. It's a chapter, nit Midchapter Update, but still we'll receive many balancing changes.

Blight Iridescent Add-Ons were making him the best Killer in the game and that's good they will nerf these Add-Ons.

  • I main Bubba since 2019 and I have massive experience on him. I really like the buffs, but I hope The Beast's Marks Add-On will increase the movement speed at least by 2%. Also I think they may just rework Tantrum Add-Ons for Bubba. It would be so weird to have like 2 seconds Tantrum or less with specific Add-Ons while using 1 Chainsaw Charge. As a experienced Bubba Player I would takie more increased speed instead of duration, but I take these changes.

  • I just want to say thank you. That's all. Great day for every Bubba Mains!

    Have a great day!

  • It's insane this bug isn't fixed yet or at least killswitched…

  • Cool ideas. Some of them would need some changes and maybe change rarity some of them, but overall cool ideas.

I also made a little concept for Nemesis.

    image.png image.png

(NE-A PARASITE would be Ultra Rare)

  • @LeFennecFox said:

If they're running boots it's the most boring chase in the game. Immediately drop pallet to not insta die at 75% of loops → billy gets overdrive → die anyway because the killer is rewarded for holding m2. The only counterplay to billy is awful map geometry and abusing crouch tech (if this wasn't a thing billy chase would be exponentially shorter).

Crouch Tech is kinda strong against him. It's a part of the counterplay. Learn it. 75% Loops? Let's end it here. It doesn't make sense.

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

Funnily enough, I actually did an entire write up on something like this. It was years ago and never posted but I definitely endorse the idea. Doubly so if it's coded without its current bugs.

What bugs are you talking about? If you talk about speed that Beast's Marks provides I don't think it's a bug. I think like on 90% of the Killers their Add-Ons increase speed from their Power Speed, not from 100% or 115%, so I wouldn't say it's a bug.

If you talk about hidden penalties that Chili Add-Ons have (& Carburetor) - yes. I agree.

  • Bro is tired, because of the Chainsaw's sound. Interesting.

For me Billy is the best Killer to play against right now. Sometimes I scream when he tries to down me during the Overdrive. Constant pressure in chase can be very fun even from Survivor POV. I don't like to sit on the gen and just unhook others. I like to actually be chased by the Killer and Hillbilly can give you the best experience.

  • Pretty bad Update. Twins Rework isn't successful. Haddonfield rework - only a few changes - I would not call it a rework to be fair.

Three perks changes and that's all. We need much more for Midchapter Update.

  • I'm Leatherface Main and I understand how people love Chilli Add-Ons, but for me Cannibal isn't viable without Beast's Marks. Beast's Marks is the best Add-On for Leatherface and he just needs it. I would love to see increased speed base kit on Bubba.

  • For example if only two Survivors are good in the Solo Q Team - you shouldn't expect good results at the end to be honest.

Someone mentioned aura reading perks - Distortion can counterplay all of them at once.

Survivors have much stronger & much easier perks to use. Sorry, but it's a truth.

  • Bug Reporting - it's bad. I literally reported like 6 or 7 very heavy bugs on Leatherface and they just fixed 2 of them in 3 years…

  • Be good in chase. To get a value from these Perks Killer needs to down a Survivor and hook him on the hook.

  • We have massive amount of games where Survivors throw the game at the end and Killer instead of 0 kills can get 2 or 3 and more…

Typical Average Bubba will get 2 Hooks for entire game, but at the end he is gonna get 2 Kills or even more - just an example.

Kill Rate isn't a good statistic for balancing the game. With better End Game mechanics / some rework, maybe it would be better, but at current state it doesn't show anything.

  • I would love to see some changes for Cannibal. His Power is very outdated & bugged. He needs changes - not rework, but fixing his bugs & buff his Add-Ons and base kit would be great.

I hope we'll see The Shape & The Nightmare Rework.

    New Gamemode 2v8.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Add On-Design is not consistent in DBD. You have weaker Killers who have restrictions on their Add Ons while stronger Killers dont. You also sometimes have harsher restrictions on Add Ons which are just weaker than others who dont have Downsides.

I think the main reason is because not everyone works on every Add On/Killer. They have teams which design specific Killers and their Add Ons and those teams dont really have to communicate with each other.

We have seen this with Singularity - in one Q&A they said that they had a different plan for him, but it turned out they would have just created a second Skull Merchant, meaning that they were about to do the same Killer twice in a row, because there was no communication between the teams.

So I guess people who have desigend Bubbas Add Ons are not involved with Blight or vice-versa. And this creates those inconsitencies where some really strong things are allowed to be around for far too long (see Alchemist Ring) while others have restrictions which are just not needed or are just nerfed over time.

Give me one example of other Killer's Add-On that nerfs his 2 important stats for only 1 unconstitent buff.

I have 5k hours just because I have an opinion on a perk means I’m inexperienced? 😂

It's just crazy for me how someone can think Corrupt is a bad perk. Most of these type of players just read the description and say "Naaah, bad perk" and they don't even think about this perk for a minute and they just don't understand.

  • @D0NN1ED4RK0 said:

I think they should decrease the charge time penalty and remove the movement speed debuff

addon doesn’t even seem problematic in a least bit imo

If they would remove movement speed penalty & decrease the charge time penalty to 12% (same as The Beast's Marks) this Add-On would be useful. It wouldn't change the best combination for Bubba (always Speed & Chili).

  • When someone say Corrupt Intervention is a bad perk it just shows how unexperienced the player is. Thanks.

  • It's first time I have issue with cheaters. From my experience I can say that 50% of Anonymous Mode / Epic Games Players are cheaters.

And it's usually subtle cheats like increased movement speed by 5 - 15% - increased the chance to unhook yourself, increased wiggle speed etc etc. I thinki cheaters just discovered something new and BHVR may have problems to deal with it.

  • Every player who understand the game well should know Bubba needs a buff - smaller or bigger - at least buff - mostly with movement speed during the Chainsaw Sweep.

  • @th3 said:

Bubba’s fine as is, his addons provide a few different ways of using his chainsaw, you can run perks to handle his counterplay extremely easily, and you still chew through pallets insanely fast. Running bamboozle on bubba does seem to make you more predictable to the survivor so if you’re struggling you might want to try something different at loops

His Add-Ons? You need to use best Add-Ons (The Beast's Marks & Award Winning Chilli), because without them Bubba is trash. So picking different Add-Ons is pointless, because you are weak in chase. Mostly of his Add-Ons are useless or even nerf him.

Only useful Add-Ons on Bubba except The Beast's Marks & Award Winning Chilli: Knife Scratches & Primer Bulb? and that's all. You can play Light Chassis & Iridescent Flesh sometimes, but it situational...

  • @tjt85 said:

Bubba is still a good Killer. It's just that since BHVR turbo buffed Billy, he's not the go to reliable instadown Killer of choice anymore. Kinda sad, but Billy is just so much better than him now.

Billy has: best mobility in the game, insta down, one of the best chase powers in the game and strong Add-Ons

Bubba has: only Chase Power that isn't even stronger than Billy

  • @OneGoodBoyDemo said:

I think Bubba is in pretty good spot right now and don't need anything. He's a solid killer l must say, probably B+

He is C+ / B- - against decent Survivors he needs best Add-Ons to actually compete, but avg Bubba will not get a good result...

  • If BHVR want to do only a small tweaks like in Patch 7.6.0 I would recommend:

    • increase Chainsaw Sweep movement speed from 5.29 m/s to 5.45 m/s.
    • set acceleration time to 0.5 seconds (instead of 60% of first charge)
    • increase Chainsaw Sweep duration from 2 seconds to 2.5 seconds
    • add new Bloodpoints category to increase Bloodpoints in Brutality category

If BHVR want to do more with Bubba I would reccomend my suggestions:

    image.png image.png image.png

1 2 3 4 5 … 10
