IIRC one of the devs actually said it was cool to be able to pull it off, like lunging over the holes in the preschool.
-
Not to mention if you buy one battle pass, then playing a lot will refund it to buy the next one.
Pay like $10 once and keep getting free cosmetics each season, seems pretty decent.

Honestly, except for the MoM debacle, Legions original state, and expected bugs that pop up with each update, i think the devs have been getting better and better lately with considered approaches to improving the health of the game.
I think they deserve some faith.
I think they're too hesitant to make good add ons for the most part, far too many minor stat changes. But then Nurse has come along and she has barely any of those. However hers just seem all round messy and directionless.
Overall though I like her power rework, she seems much more reasonable to go against without losing much.

Tried to catch survivors with one blink nurse? Gl against experienced players m8.
I play m1 killers in the red ranks. If you really need all the crutches built into current Nurse, there's bigger issues at play.

But a survivor got three seconds to break LoS, get instahealed, get blocked and so on. Some people don't seem to get how massive three seconds are.
Some people love to blow small changes massively out of proportion for no reason. In that 3 seconds you can still blink, you just can't double blink.

She still got fatigue. Remember the nurse is slower than survivors. So it's effectiveky around two metres.
0.5m different to what she already suffered.

She seems weak in red ranks now, because three seconds are much time for a good survivor to gain distance. Base nurse was perfectly balanced, no need to nerf her at all. Now tell me, why should anybody try to learn the nurse? She needs very good musle memory AND other killers do a better job.
Other killers do NOT do a better job, and 3 seconds is literally 0.5 meters no matter how good a survivor you are.
-
Again, I don't think it's relevant nor necessary within the context of the game.
You know why survivors don't have passive abilities? Because the devs said they wanted people to pick the one that resonates most with themselves.
For every person that feels more connected to David by adding "also he's gay" to his lore, there's going to be someone who feels less connected.
If it's never stated one way or the other, then great, he's gay to you and it makes you happy and he's straight to some other person and it makes them happy.
You shouldn't need a line in the lore to blatantly say something like that the same way straight people aren't rallying to have it stated that a specific character is straight to feel connected to them.
-
The fatigue is absolutely no different than before. The only change from this patch is 3.5 seconds where you cannot double blink, but you CAN move as normal.
A survivor can run 14 meters in 3.5 seconds. The Nurse can run 13.475 meters in 3.5 seconds.
The only change in a chase in this patch is 0.5 meters, and ONLY if you wait out your second charge.
-
If I had to take a guess, I'd say:
Insta heals are now heals over time. Activating an insta will fill the healing bar rapidly without requiring any interaction, but will be cancelled if damage is taken in that time.
Also, med kits in general might become somewhat different, like Ranger might be a full 2 heals. As it is nobody gives a ######### about them outside of them being an insta-carrier.

You know that in this time, survivors can put a considerably distance between them and Nurse with their superior movement speed ? She won't be able to catch up to them. And her map pressure ... might not be even a thing now.
It's 3.5 seconds where the nurse can run after them, "a considerable distance" is half a meter if they both run in the same direction.

My two questions:
- Does the 2 addons that reduce recharge time stack?
- Does the recharge timer stop while charging up a blink?
These are pretty important things. If she recharges another blink during a blink charge that is huge. You could still play a double blink, single blink, double blink set up. Now if that is the case, those 2 addons stacking means she is basically the current Nurse but you have to use addons.
I really hope it's yes to both of them. Nurse was the last thing i enjoyed about this game and if she is killed I guess "mm getting buried along with here.
The green one is already 0.9 seconds off the charge time, that's 1.7 seconds to be able to double blink after fatigue. I kinda feel like stacking them would just be wasting the yellow one. If I had to guess if they stacked it would be multiplicative, so:
Base: 3 (6)
Green: 2.1 (4.2)
Yellow: 2.4 (4.8)
Both: 1.68 (3.36)
If you were to use both you'd shave less than a second off the time to charge both blinks.

Ahem. But people like to complain, especially of any change, it happens. Just sit back let it run its course, I say. Nothing new.
It comes up every time there's anything resembling patch notes. Most decent players are able to work out how something will impact the game, while some other person sits there getting annoyed for no reason that other people have opinions.

@FairP1ayer said:
I’m not sure how a up to 6 second cool down on her blinks will utterly destroy the strongest killer in the game. Her fatigue alone is almost 3 secs, and they said it cools down during it.
Not to mention there's a green add on that removes 0.9s per charge, meaning with 2.5 seconds of fatigue you only need a second and a half to double blink.
-
@PickCollins said:

Base kit change is crippling.
There's a 2.5 fatigue time for 2 blinks. That's enough time for a Survivior to get 9 meters away. She needs to then wait 3.5 seconds to blink again, there's an additional 14 meters.
Nurse needs to cover a 23 meter difference for missing one chainblink, and that's the equivalent of 2 blinks, one of which being fully charged.
That is a crippling change if I've ever seen one. That's worse than any nerf Pig or Legion has ever gotten.
A survivor moves at 4.0 m/s, 14m over 3.5 seconds assumes you literally take your hands off the controls while you wait for your cooldown. If you continue to move, like, say, everyone would, you will cover 13.475m in that same time.
Your "additional 14 meters" is 0.525 meters.
And again, that's ONLY if you're choosing to double blink, you could just use your first blink half a second out of fatigue and still be directly on top of them.
-
As a killer main, I see this as entirely fine.
Nurse actually takes a bit of thought now, not just spam blink until you land on them. It brings her much closer in line with other killers' chase mechanics while still retaining the majority of her power.
At most, to do the exact same thing, you just have a 3-4 second window where you have to recharge.
IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.
IT IS NOT UNBALANCED.

Corrupt Intervention is solid and Infectious Fright godlike on Nurse. Ghostfaces Perks arent that bad, but they get killed by their Cooldowns.
Funny thing is: This person you quoted is saying that they cater Survivors more, because they buy more cosmetics. This would lead me to the conclusion that he is thinking that Survivors get better Perks. Meanwhile, the most common used Perks by Survivors are from 2016.
Killers do not have it that bad when it comes to new Perks. Mostly it is one good Perk, one niche Perk and one bad Perk.
Corrupt Intervention is a free anti-genlock which screws over most killers. Gens still get done, they just get done in a different place.
Infectious Fright is good on Nurse, on most other killers it's a solid meh.
The difference with killer and survivor perks is that the sort of junk killer perks we've got for the last year or so actively don't contribute anything of value to make them worth bringing. ######### like Mindbreaker or Furtive Chase are just burning a perk slot because you hate yourself.
Survivor perks aren't topping DS/BT/Adren because free health states are insane, but not every survivor does run the same dull as dishwater build, and less meta perks are still seen in different builds. Deliverance isn't the most common, but it's certainly run. I come across about one a night at least. Head On is gaining some serious popularity since they actually made it work, it would probably be more popular if it had've worked since day 1. Fixated is giving people more interesting stealth options, and Inner Strength is fast becoming a common perk to expect.
Point is, survivor perks still bring SOMETHING most of the time, where a lot of killer perks just leave you sitting there trying to work out what the hell the sense in wasting a slot on them is.
-
Thanks :)

I'm in a bad mood, so I could be biased here, but they haven't added a good perk for killers in almost a year. My reasoning is that survivors buy cosmetics more than killers do, so they're catering to survivors having a good time so they keep playing and buying cosmetics.
1 year ago was Spirit. That brought us Spirit Fury, a top meta perk, Haunted Grounds, a strong but niche perk. Then Legion brought Discordance and 2 junk perks, Plague brought hot garbage, Ghostface's are literal jokes, and then Demo has Surge which is alright.
Yeah, I'd say you're pretty accurate there.
-
Or just a standard low priority queue like most other games. You DC a lot and you get lumped with the other people who DC a lot.
Enjoy trying to win a match when every time it looks like you will the other side quite.
-
It doesn't need more tokens, plain and simple. It gives you limited uses to avoid aura reading perks.
What it isn't meant to do is make you permanently immune to every aura reading perk. That would just be disgustingly strong.
You see a token drop when the killer gets a hook? Great, you KNOW BBQ is up, so hide in a locker, that's 1 token to never be detected by BBQ.
Similarly, use any of the tokens to work out what perks the killer is using, and you should be able to avoid, block, or predict that happening.
It could use some additional benefit, but it definitely should not get more/recoverable tokens.

They probably won't get one.
There's not a lot of offerings you COULD make that would be worth being ultra rare and not utterly game breaking, like most of these suggestions.
Recently it's been a huge push to balance out some of the more ridiculous aspects of the game rather than adding more. We'd be more likely to see moris nerfed than a survivor equivalent (which keys already are) added.
-
I've been playing Plague in the red ranks. If I cared about gaining rank it would be incredibly frustrating that I keep getting "Brutal Killer" for 4ks with 30k+ points.
As for going for the 4k, it really depends who I'm left against. I'm not going to actively let someone go, but if the cocky person who looped every pallet is still in the last 2 I'm going to make sure they aren't the one to get out.
Yesterday I let a Nea go from 3 chases because I kept finding her on gens, but I'd seen Dwight cleanse in the opposite corner of the map doing nothing, so I hunted him down instead.
I also had a match with a Nea who was clearly new, and I made sure to take her to the hatch, and she didn't even seem to know it was a way out. It turns out she was rank 19 in a rank 4 match, so that felt good.
-
I used it for a bit to get more of an idea on perks that hide your scratch marks.
For instance, using Quick and Quiet and Dance With Me should allow you to jump out of a locker silently, and leave no scratch marks for several seconds. However, running Fixated you can see that the instant you jump out of the locker scratch marks spawn all around it, then you leave none when running with DWM, meaning the killer actually can see where you were and are more likely to negate the combination.
-
Cruel Limits is awful 99% of the time. It's good if a gen goes off in your face and you can instantly chase someone, but beyond that you don't WANT to go to the large section of the map that now doesn't have a gen in it. If anything it should block EVERYTHING on the map, but for a much shorter duration.
Mindbreaker is absolute garbage. It doesn't work when the gen is half done, it can be waited out by basically anyone in a chase by being behind a pallet for a couple of seconds. It only DELAYS an exhaustion perk, never negates them. As Dude said, it only serves a purpose on stealth attacks, and only against sprint burst which is very rare these days.
-
Dunno. If it's on Steam, I'd make sure to turn your profile OFF private. (Still leave a lot of the "only friends can see/comment" settings on.)
Many killers will check profiles to see if others are on your friends list, and will assume a private profile is just you trying to hide SWF.
-
Yeah I'm getting very tired of obsession perks on both sides being "look at all the buffs the obsession gets! (oh also the killer gets a tiny buff that is either time consuming to build or doesn't function against the obsession)"
A pyscho killer powered by a literal god is fixated on you above anyone else, and 99/100 times that means they DON'T want you dead, or you're actively benefiting from it.
-
Gay, 24.
Very put off by the fact that you're trying to say diversity is good, then blatantly insult straight people calling them plain and basic.
Seriously, you're part of a community that has been looked down on for ages, why keep that sort of negative attitude to judge people for being different from you?
-
I don't think which way characters swing belongs in this game at all.
There is no confirmed straight character, nor a confirmed gay character, the only one really confirmed as bi is the kiddly diddler.
Every character has lore and personality, and who they choose to ######### doesn't add to or subtract from that. Except, again, the kiddly diddler.
If you want a character to be gay, hooray for you, if you want them to be straight, no problem with that either, but they're just people, and trying to turn this into some publicity stunt about diversity doesn't really bring anything of value to the game.
Also, outside of taking a current character and bluntly tacking "they're gay" onto them, introducing a new character that is specifically gay is just as big an issue. As someone who is gay it's often very alienating when most characters added as a token gay are incredibly stereotypical, and many of us are very put off when we're supposedly 'represented' by people who are nothing like us because a sexuality tag was put on them. Oh a gay survivor? Yeah he MUST be feminine and like drag!
-
I'm in Melbourne and was sitting at 50.
FIFTY.
That's like 5 times better than most games. First match of survivor after they turned them off I tried to cleanse a totem and it did nothing for 10 seconds of cleansing then the bar started to fill, and then smashing spacebar for a full second or two did nothing and I was pulled to the other side and downed. Fun.

@anarchy753 Myers has a 6 meter terror radius in EW I doesn’t he?
At the moment, yes, but the description has been updated to say he has the "Undetectable" status in Tier 1. (A future change, but the description of powers has been updated prematurely.)
Undetectable means you are immune to aura reading and have no terror radius, nor red stain, which means Myers will lose that 6m TR when they update him.
-
Yeah, Pig, Wraith and Ghostface are no surprise cos they arelady essentially had it but the status was added to give them immunity to rubbish like OoO.
Michael is interesting though, he will have no terror radius by default in tier 1 without needing M&A. That frees up an extra perk slot for mirror Myers.
-
Your primary objective is to SURVIVE, not to do 5 generators. Completing generators is PART of that objective.
If a completely preventable perk is stopping you from surviving, then part of your primary objective is to cleanse totems so that perk doesn't stop you from surviving.
Deaths to noed are on you. Chanting this mantra that gens are the only objective is a great way to die, have low scoring games, and not get better in general.
-
So you can gauge when BBQ has run out.
Seriously though, it makes sense that the Entity heals them enough to keep them alive to keep suffering or feeding wouldn't last very long.
-
Oh boy, well if 2 random strangers on the internet say so then I HAVE to give a #########.
-
I disagree with people arguing how hard it is to judge a killer.
90% of killer skills transfer 1 to 1 from one killer to the next.
Demo's pounce isn't difficult to use, or to work out where it's effective, but no matter how you play it, a vaguely aware survivor can dodge it. Anyone who's played as/against Billy already knows how it works, except it's not a one hit down, it has less control, and it is more punishing to try to use.
The portals are messy as hell. They can be used for tracking, but only if survivors know that they're there and can actively avoid being tracked by them. They give you stealth, but come with a blaring foghorn telling the entire map "I AM STEALTHY RIGHT NOW." They are incredibly quick to close and there's no real decent option for setting them except walking slowly over to place them, once they're closed you have to do that ######### again.
They don't function well as traps, nor tracking, nor stealth, and their mobility is limited by first having to do cover the distance slowly, then reliant on survivor indifference.
-
B-but, Australian servers were better than P2P :c
-
The worst part is this map has had some new, and VERY well hidden spots added to it recently.
And yet they looked at that piece of crap and went "nah that's fine, nobody will spot that."
-
I think I get put off a lot of his movies by how prominent children are in them. Books are one thing but I cannot STAND children in movies.
It pt 1, Stand By Me, The Shining, I know it's not really something you can fix, but hours of child actors makes me want to hurl.
-

I think he's too loud. The foot steps, the constant screaming, the washing machine chase music. There's also the fact that I don't have the greatest perks on him yet as I wanted Steve more. Just a variety of factors really.
Washing Machine chase music, oh my god.
-
He just isn't anything groundbreaking to me.
His portals are cumbersome, and while his pounce is decent in some situations, it's still a straight line attack that isn't hard to dodge.
-
Head In confuses me. If you're in the locker and it only opens inward, surely a survivor entering it with Head On should immediately mori you, no?
-
The power seems fairly weak. We have a lot of killer who can hide their terror radius in one form or another, and nearly every one of them has 1-2 other aspects to their power to make them somewhat viable. This is Ghostface with a duration instead of revealing, minus the ability to expose, or crouch, and his power only affects 3/4 survivors.
Silence Sees All is interesting, but potentially too long a duration on the reveal. It has potential to slow the game when someone gets hooked, but being a secret exposed status sort of counters that benefit out, and would be highly unfair to survivors who just get insta-downed for just working on gens. Remember this is usable on ANY killer, a Nurse seeing and exposing anyone who does repairs when someone is hooked would be incredibly broken.
Don't Forget What Follows seems decent.
Rampage would be very unreliable. It would only serve to mindgame an already dropped pallet which would still be a very safe position even without the stain in most cases. Especially since it's only 7 seconds, just running away from the pallet would burn the duration, and you either break the pallet anyway or try to catch up in that time and leave a safe dropped pallet to hurt you in later chases.
Only other comment, of all the Slasher seasons, I don't know why 3. The killer based around the deadly sins was far more inspired and artistic. The second season was such a beautifully strange take on the cabin in the woods scenario by moving it to the snow, combining two groups who don't know each other, and the ending was incredible.
Season 3 was just messy, overdone, teenage politics. The kills weren't meaningful, it was just "what's on hand and how can this be messy" and half the characters didn't even seem to have significant reason to die.
-
Yeah it's pretty damn mediocre. The amount of effort of finding the obsession (let alone 3 times) and intentionally losing them to gain speed for a grand total of 3 swings to be better is just poor.
Time is everything in this game, and if you already have the time to screw around that much, it's probably not down to PWYF that you're winning that match.
-
Wraith's add ons don't make sense in general.
They got reworked right after Trapper and Hag where they said along the lines of "we want to normalise add ons between killers, both in amount and similar levels of effects."
Then Wraith comes out with basically all of his common add ons having the sorts of effects very rares have, and his very rares are just continued boring stat changes.
Such a weird outlier for no reason.
-
It would be great, as the name would finally have anything to do with the game at all.
Also it'd be cool if the sunlight made those red cracks in the ground.
-
They should just remove it stacking with + hatchet add ons.
Hatchets are her basic form of attack, intended to be used for more hits than her M1. It's completely nuts to give her exposed on every single survivor permanently.
You want to use 1 hit downs? Fine, but you better aim well, rather than having 3 shots to whiff a few and still get an easy down you have to be able to aim well or suffer.
-
I've been running her for a few weeks with only brown add ons, (cooldown and movement speed while charging) BBQ 3, PGTW 3, DL 1 and Thana 1, and I've been pretty consistently 4king at about your rank.
To be honest I think she's the strongest killer there is without a mobility power.
