What kind of Myers do y'all play, stalky, jumpscare, or aggressive?
-
Fun Fact: If you didn't watch a stream about it a while back, her 'roar' actually sounds sooner than intended. It is supposed to sound AFTER you lunge, not before.

I really like interacting with you guys this way. So far, I've gotten a lot of interesting responses! I'm honestly surprised I've gotten this many already. So, I'll ask you all another! I will generally just keep it to 2 Killers at a time, so who do you prefer this time, Trapper or Hag? Since they both got a rework, I am interested to see what kind of responses will come from this.I love Trapper. I love foothold traps, I love the feeling of setting one and I absolutely love when survivors step in my traps. The only problem is that Trapper has very few traps compared to hag. Beartraps have a small hitbox, and they can be disabled without the need for additional items, and then if they get disabled that's time you've wasted. (not to mention potential frustration if you're like me) Trapper placements are also somewhat predictable. Almost always in tall grass, behind windows and under pallets. It's true that you can counter Hag with crouching but I don't see many people running Urban Evasion all that often, and I find it tedious to crouch walk everywhere when I could just run and hide when I activate a trap.
My answer is Trapper for looks and satisfaction, and Hag for kills.
Yeah. Both can be pretty satisfying in their own ways though.

In a way, it was the same way for me. Trapping just isn't my playstyle. Taking time to place traps when gens are getting done (too fast, as usual) just doesn't end up well for me every single time. The thing that ticked me off with him was you had to move halfway across the map just to pick up your traps, then move somewhere else to arm them. It's not like Hag where it's instant.
I suppose that's true. Placing the traps is the most painful part. I'm glad they at LEAST made it faster with this update.

Okay this is going to get nasty because I actually like both of them.On one hand I like the Trapper because I can lock down an area now. Not to mention the fact that it is not possible for me to booby trap every single trap so even if you try to deactivate them you'll just end up hurting yourself which make matters easier for me if I have Bloodhound or nurse is calling.
The hag is absolutely insane for those who don't know how to play nurse or prefer to play a killer with some speed. As of late I can't tell you how beautiful it feels to use make your choice and other perks that evolved around radius with her.
Even though they both use traps I have to go with the main man
Trapper it is.Whatever works better for you. That's what I always do.

I do understand, why many people think that Hag is better than Trapper, but there is one reason why i think, that Trapper is better than her:
The Trapper has a oneshot ability. as soon as someone gets trapped, this person is insta downed. they will, however, return to the injured state after freeing themselves or getting rescued. If you play against a Trapper, who knows where to place his traps, he has the potential to end the game within ~5 minutes with a 4k. If you face a REALLY good Trapper (or just an extreme lucky one), he'll also end the game with no, or MAYBE a silver chaser emblem. Why? Because he used traps to catch the Survivors instead of hunting them down. Trapper is the strongest defensive Killer this game has. If you try to ambush him, you will probaply meet your demise very soon.
The Hag still has the problem, that she needs to hunt her prey down, unlike a Trapper. Also, she cant catch multiple people at once, like the Trapper does. Thats why I think she is not as powerful as Trapper.Good points. I'm not the only one that hates this emblem system. lol

The only thing I have found wrong is his bottles seems to move slower once they are released and the arc of the throw may need to be looked at otherwise he is a mid tier killer.Love the response. I too love this killer more than Doc.

Also, in my experience, no killer can really STALL the game as a whole. The only ones whom can, is probably Billy -- for map pressure -- and Pig -- for Bear Traps that are also easily removed.

This means lore, weapon, personality, model details, perks and playstyle. I want to know what you all think of him in general! What do you like and what do you dislike?Low Tier: Clown, Leatherface, Wraith, Freddy.
Clown has almost to none end game potential, no map control ability, just a normal killer at open areas, no extra advantage at chases, poor addons, he is only good at forcing a pallet drop which isnt that useful since there are enough pallets and windows to loop a killer for 5 gens on every map.
Also with the vaccum and exhaustion FIX, Doctor went to the Mid Tiers, as u can see, The Clown took his place at the Low Tier now, he isnt useless like Freddy, but he is pretty weak compared to almost every other killer =/.
I see where you are coming from, but me personally, I would keep him in the mid tier. If you are running Brutal Strength, running through the pallets can actually make a difference. It won't 100% of the time, but it has the potential to. The add-on part I can't really agree with. Most -- to all -- of his add-ons are actually pretty good and I really enjoy using most of them. The only ones I don't find useful are the ones that make him move faster while he's reloading; that's about it.
Compared to some other killers (better ones that doesnt even need addons) his addons are pretty standard and doesnt have a GREAT effect on his power, i mean, some of them do, but not something like: Extra Blinks, Extra blink range, OP charge speed (HB and Huntress), Infinite EW 3, etc...
He cant stale the game, he cant end up chases really fast, he cant do much, he literally runs around and try to trow a bottle on a survivors path, then hit them just like the Wraith, that is only if the survivor does go into the Gas (which is not even a big deal anyways for MOST of the time there is always a window, pallet or not enough distance to catch them).
It's true, but in my experience, most add-ons for most killers also have negative effects on you as well (such as more fatigue time for Nurse if she has more blinks) while Clown has no negative effects. In my opinion, they're great. Some are useful -- like you said -- but not ALL of them are. Doesn't mean they can't be fun to use though. I particularly like his insta-down add-on.

His ability im not sure about i dont own him. My experience is from the few survivor games I have had with him. But it looks like it can be somewhat affective in most chases. His map is amazing because of morice the horse.Crap, I didn't even know the horse HAD a name. x3

I like his lore too, very authentic. I do not like his voice except the one when he gets stunned and he laughs. But other than that, his laugh when attacking you seems meh...the feeling I get from that is, "you could have done something different" it's not bad but it's underwhelming and generic. But the laugh he does when stunned seems to have more character. It's complex. I like his appearance. Fits his lore of a former-average boy turned killer. His "Umf" when vaulting or doing anything at all is funny to hear, makes him seem aggressive. Other than that, I do like him.His part of the Chapel map is one of the most unique things -- especially going by its description.
It seems the horse and the caravan will ALSO appear in other maps in the future. This means there will be a different version of the Chapel map in the future that would not house the caravan. The description suggests the caravan will keep moving throughout the realms, appearing in each realm, even on pre-existing maps like Coal Tower. Gives a nomadic, circus vibe to it, but I'm down for some diversity in all maps in such a manner.
I also find his chapter unique, because it brought another non-human life into the trials, which is the horse itself. Interesting indeed, but the clown is definitely well done, compared to the many killer clown suggestions made on the forum.
Love the response. I find his laughing to be a little silly sometimes. lol

Just to illustrate the difference. I had two matches with both of them:Crotus Penn Asylum with Bubba. Find someone, hit them, could not get a chainsaw unfortunately, they book it to the cancer building with pallets and vaults everywhere. I try to break the chase, chase others, every single time they made it back into the building and wasted more time with their god pallets. Ruin goes down by minute two roughly. I eventually broke every single pallet in the building, hooked two, all gens get done, find another guy and chase him back into the building. No pallets this time and it was an easy chainsaw. But by that point the guy I had on a hook was freed. I hook the 3rd guy and camp because the gates are obviously open now and one guy half-heartedly comes over to rescue but the guy kills himself. I chase that other guy and he was far enough away where he easily got out the gate.
End result: 1 kill. 3 hooks. De-pip.
Multiple times -had I been using Billy instead- I could have chainsawed over and stopped them from getting into the building and I easily could have gotten the last guy and secured at least 2 kills.
Fractured Cowshed with Billy. You could argue that Cowshed is just as bad as the Asylum with the barn loop and the pig carcass loop. Immediately find a guy and give chase, break a few annoying pallets, ruin goes down, happen to find another guy and chainsaw and hook him. I chainsaw away to go after someone but my first hook gets rescued. I chainsaw back and down him again and try to go for others but there's just too many pallets. I hook him again, try to chase someone else, break more pallets, watch a gen regress and protect it. One guy keeps trying to bait me to chase him but my 1st hook is just about dead. 1st hook down, 1 guy dead, 1 gen done. Give chase, down another guy, break more pallets, another hook and another gen gets done. BTW Ruin was taken out roughly 30 seconds in the match. Chase more people, get more hooks, eventually kill the 2nd guy, 2 gens left, find another guy and somehow keep him away from the cancer barn loop. Hook him and the last guy who I injured shows up with BBQ. Got him.
End result: 4 kills. 7 hooks. 2 pips.
The results kind of speak for themselves...
Yeah, I know. Hillbilly is a lot more effective in general.

Following up my "Question For Killers" post, I wanted to ask another question to interact with the community more. What killer do you all prefer? The fast and spoopy Hillbilly, or the devastating tusken raider Cannibal?Billy is stronger than LF overall, there's no doubt about that, but Leatherface is better in certain situations than Billy is. Overall you're most likely better off with Billy due to his movement. Leatherface is fun though.
Yeah; Leatherface is kind of carefree fun.
-
@Hillbilly420 said:
I like Leatherface more but he pales in comparison to Hillbilly. Billy has speed and can actually do something about pallets and windows. Bubba is too slow and can't chainsaw mind game/body block pallets and windows. The only thing Bubba does better is chainsawing rescuers and completely shutting down hook rescues. When you absolutely positively want one ######### dead then Bubba is your man. If you stand in front of a hook with the chainsaw revving then they're not getting rescued.Yeah. The one thing Bubba does incredibly well is punish altruism. Nobody else can do that better.
-
@Peanits said:
Hillbilly is definitely the more powerful one. Even taking the instant down out of the equation, you can get across the map so fast and keep the pressure up. Sprint burst? More like no, haHAhaha.Cannibal just has a stronger camping game, is what I've noticed. He can down multiple people with a single chainsaw, but the only time you'll do that is when they're locked into animations like unhooking. Or if they're super careless.
I would have totally picked hillbilly, if it weren't for the turning speed curve. I used to play him all the time at launch. It felt super solid to play. I had no issue with the flick going, either. But at some point they tweaked the turning speed, and now if I blink too hard at the start of a chainsaw, I've got a 50% chance of doing a 90 degree turn with sensitivity way higher than normal and smashing my face into a wall. I could just get used to it, but that's effort. If someone wants to hook me up with classic chainsaw controls, we're gucci.
Yeah. In my experience, he can be more fun too

Something that probably annoys all the Killers out there, is that they keep balancing killers around the low ranks. If a Killer tends to excel at low ranks, they end up getting nerfed. This was the case with Freddy and now he is just a meme. Sad face.

What I tend to notice is that Killers that actually main a Killer like Wraith or Freddy are looking for a challenge. As I said earlier, it actually feels really rewarding when you outplay Survivors as a bad Killer. I am at rank 9 right now and I still get a lot of good games with Wraith. It always depends on whom you are fighting though. Killers are only powerful when Survivors do stupid stuff.

Those are low ranks. High ranks have the smaller numbers.

I agree with @Tsulan on this one. While the transition period is a pain, I am often right on them when they fall asleep. Might take 7 seconds to fall asleep, but a lot of times by 8 seco ds they have been hit once. (most survivors don't drop a pallet until they are fully in dream world, in my experience at the lower ranks)
Well, do remember that, that is in the lower ranks, where Freddy is at his strongest. But you also have to remember that survivors can do a lot in 7 seconds. Open the exit gates, wake up another survivor, heal, get a skillcheck to wake themself up instantly and more. Freddy needs help.
