I like freddy but he need some attention right now

Yes, he does. Poor Freddy. :(

Freddy all the way. At least I don't have to start a chase with the handbrake set on.

Yeah, you don't have to slow down as Freddy, but you still have to wait like 7 seconds -- giving the survivors plenty of time to get to a pallet or window to increase the distance between you -- compared to the couple seconds for Wraith, whom can also get a speedboost after uncloaking with some add-ons.

Not a killer main so you may want to discard my response, but I would rather play as Freddy.  at high ranks (lvl 18 -20) he is in my opinion overpowered.  I have heard he doesn't scale well.  Going to try to main killer after next reset so may change my answer.

I can't say how many times I have heard he is overpowered in the low ranks. I wouldn't say that he is "OP" in the low ranks, it's just that survivors in the low ranks don't yet know how to combat and counter him just yet. Once you know how to bully him, he's easy to beat. Much sad for Freddy.

Wraith. I'd like to be able to hit Survivors when I find them, and not 7 seconds later.

I agree. Honestly, I still don't know why Freddy has been treated like he has. I feel like he needs a complete rework or buffs in some way.

This is gonna get drowned in their tears. At the rate they are flowing many wont read this at all since they still too busy moaning and this post will get buried in no time.

I started as surv. I dabbled in killer in the beginning but was not good enough so switched back to surv. I stayed with surv till nearly all achievs were done and started getting hammered as i reached my limit.

Out of frustration and the fact that i instantly started getting more points i switched to killer. This was easy at first with the odd game where i got stomped. The higher i got the more frustrating it was and the worse i got as i also reached my limit there.

After millions of tbags, pallet slams, blinds, loops, BM in game and out i became toxic. I knew they hated camping and tunneling so that became my weapon of choice. Out of spite. I paid them back in spades and slowly gained some fun back. Was it right? Probably not since i conceded its not nice but i had the devs' blessing and after a million tbags, ect, i had enough. So that was it.

I have also seen the game from both sides but i mostly played killer in the latter half. Not touched survs for months.

This is an us against them game. How much toxicity goes along with that largely depends on how you are treated in the game by the opposite camp, I think. They were nasty so i vowed to get back and i did. With a vengeance. Do i need to camp in order to get kills? No. But it was more fun for me. Fun can be defined in many way.

I blame the devs for taking the fun out of my game as killer as it just got more and more frustrating the higher i went. Stomping n00bs gets old. We all started this game and got stomped right off of the bat no matter if you played killer or survs. Blame the devs. They make the game. They choose the parameters and circumstances under which we meet in the game.

Is it necessary that n00bs get stomped on right away by people that have far more skill than they do? There was a post a few days ago by either a father or a relative who wanted to get a family member involved. They lasted 6 games and uninstalled. But this is the experience for most who start the game. You either grow a thick skin and deal with it or dont.

I understand the frustration. Playing killer can be really hard sometimes, but it isn't always that bad. Sometimes, you get actual good games and meet some genuinely good people, but those moments are far and few between. The game community is toxic -- like I said -- but we can still bear with it, as we've survived all this time. I don't find this any more different than a community like CoD for example. Extremely toxic, but it is one of the most popular game franchises of all time. With the community being toxic, it doesn't mean that we can't keep playing and enjoying the games that end up being good. Fun can still be had with this game.

I agree with you 100%. I am like you with the playing of sides. I'm a rank 1 killer and survivor but only play surv when I'm with my buddies. Everything u mentioned. Too bad this thread isn't gonna get like over 1000 people that actually are going to read the whole thing since it's a lot of text xD. Nice one tho

My thanks. I only made this post so long so I could get everything out there with one post. I feel like things are more heartfelt and truthful when you put more work into your words and opinions.

You've done well young one xD
What do you think about this post I made with some balancing for 3 perks? https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/10377/lets-get-these-3-perks-the-way-they-were-at-the-start#latest

I think that it was done well. Asking questions and getting different opinions from others can be fun and interesting sometimes. Questions like yours can get some interesting responses.

I really wish more people on both sides would see things this way. Both survivors and killers are necessary for the game to work. Of course, there's definitely toxicity, but it doesn't always have to be 'us-vs-them.'

Exactly. Without both sides, we don't have a game. We need to remember that. That's what I see in the game.
