So all he can do is break pallets and use niche add-on builds, while his anti-loop is dead and his chase is nerfed to uselessness.
How exciting.
It's more exciting than forcing a survivor to leave a loop because you pressed a button.
Honestly his chase is the same if you actually setup guards from range. They literally just made him less free and that's it.
-
I actually find Xeno quite easy to go against. As long as you setup turrets in good locations and not just right in front of tunnels and run in advance when they start beeping rapidly they trivialize her quite a bit.
-
I don't think people are grasping how big a change it is that you get to choose your guard now. Being able to use healing poultice whenever you want is actually fairly huge and will make stealthing against knight impossible. And carnifex on command means he basically just has base kit better brutal strength.
We also have to wait and see what his 3 use the same guard twice in a row gets changed to. Just because they made Knight less brainless doesn't mean they got nerfed.
-
Considering how low the bar is for survivor perks is atm I think Iron Will absolutely becomes meta if this goes through and I welcome that.
Made for This showed us that if a perk is strong enough it's worth losing access to exhaustion perks in return and I think complete silence while injured is a strong enough trade that it'll be common to see.
I do wonder if we're heading for a stealth meta with something like Iron Will/Distortion/Windows/Adren becoming the norm with some babysitter sprinkled in because I could see that perk becoming the new BT.
-
Basekit photo along with longer duration is just fantastic. Being able to destroy unneeded pods from a distance will also make adjusting your setups feel so much better because now you don't have to risk losing pods you actually wanted to keep.
I don't think Singularity will be OP I just think his accessibility will go up 10x and I welcome seeing more Singularity players in the future.
-
What part of Knight now requires skill? He's just place a guard down in every loop. At least now you have to have some game sense before you send a guard out but Knights core concept will never allow for that much skill.
Also scamper was the most brainless ability in the game lmao. Saying that takes away skill expression is just objectively wrong.
-
You can still break at less then 10m, it's just at least 10m to patrol to stop knight from getting free hits in loops and corners.
-
We absolutely needed this after the mess of the All Things Wicked midchapter PTB.
-Knight less brainless
-Singularity will actually feel good to play without a Masters degree
-Iron Will is back
-Babysitter becoming a W anti-tunnel perk
-They who will not be named becoming a survivor
-Autodidact believers finally being rewarded
-Machine Learning finally living up to it's potential
I kinda wanna temper my expectations but it's feeling like we're so ######### back.
-
I think with how ever present aura reading is now even more so with gen regression being very lackluster 100% iron will is probably fine especially with the exhaustion penalty. This and babysitter is pretty exciting too during a time survivors don't get much to be excited about.

Ok, well, Knight’s getting changed next update so I guess you got your wish.
-
You don't see them because they're bad. I mean okay Eruption isn't bad for snowball killers but that's such a hard play style to pull off consistently that barely anyone does it.
Jolt is only good on indoor maps where it can get multiple gens at once so you kinda have to bring a map offering to ensure value.
We're legitimately to the point Pain Res is the only one worth bringing and maybe Ruin but you're not happy to bring ruin it's just barely good enough and everything else sucks.
-
It's rough right now for sure, most games can be pretty miserable but if you can get 1-2 good teammates the game isn't as unbalanced as it seems.
I'm at the point where I never take off kindred now cuz my teams need all the handholding they can get.
-

Knight really needs bugfixes before I accept, valid, criticisms.
Buddy just barely functions
I mean even if they fix the bugs he'll still just be "trapping people with AI" the killer just more consistent with it. Bugs don't change the fact the core design is terrible.
-
I mean anyone thinking they're losing to comms doesn't know what they're talking about. In reality there isn't a ton of relevant information that you're not getting from the survivor portraits. The real reason SWF can be frustrating is when you get 4 people that actually know what to do with that information and are actually good at the game that can be very frustrating to go against.
It doesn't matter if a team of four 500 hour survivors can talk to each other it's still 4 goobers that would all screw up a flashlight saves and get easily baited into dropping pallets. But when you get those teams that all know what they're doing and when to do what? Game can be miserable then and in a 4 man SWF that can be more common because they actually play this game enough to want to put a team together.
Cuz let's be honest killers don't actually have any idea when they're facing a SWF, they see any level of coordination whatsoever and think it must be a SWF. Like I had a game the other night against a Xeno where we were at one gen left and the Xeno was playing very hit and run and I ran into this Ada with Prove and I had Botany and we just kind of spontaneously created this strategy where she would setup the turrets while speeding up my gen progression and then the Xeno would come out she would hang back and take the hit and I'd stick around and heal her quickly with botany. We just repeated that until the gen got done and we did that with no comms whatsoever. We also got accused of being a SWF after because how else could two people with two teamwork perks that could coordinate be in the same lobby together, it was clearly impossible. And that's just one case I have maybe a dozen of that happening.
-
I think at the very least The Unknown is an old one, maybe a much weaker one but an old one all the same. My guess it's a kinda octopus like creature with the "head" being what comes out of the neck and shoots the projectiles.
-
How often are people running into it? I've seen it 2-3 times the past week and it was fine and definitely had an impact but it didn't come across as unfair to me.
-
It's the killer version of windows that needs another perk to actually set it up properly and survivors have a perk to counter it, it's fine.
-
It's 855 auric cells which is a good price if you actually have and play artist.
-
Pain Res/DMS/Grim Embrace/BBQ
They have to let go of the gen while you're hooking then they still have to stay off the gen for grim embrace so you basically get DMS value even when you don't proc it.
Then since you're demo you can use BBQ and teleport over to a survivor you see and interrupt any gens being done after you use your grim stacks to still get DMS value.
-
A brown toolbox has 16 charges and Nurse's power only has 2 tokens so really if you think about it by the numbers Nurse is really underpowered.
-
I would say C tier but yeah Dredge is good on Midwich and not great everywhere else and considering the buffs they gave Huntress and Trickster it seems they have no intention of increasing the number of lockers on maps. Considering this I think the locks on lockers should be removed entirely, Dredge isn't strong enough to warrant the mechanic.
Singularity without EMPs is easily A tier, Xeno without turrets would be a top 5 killer, Dredge without locks would still probably only be B tier on most maps.

sharp turns and geometry is his counter-play. why do you not enjoy said counter-play?
Because it's very binary, you are either in a part of the map that has the right geometry or you're not at which point the Blight has to actively mess up in order for you not to go down. Basically it feels up to the map and the Blight's skill and the survivor doesn't have a ton of input on the situation.
Compare this to Xeno in which you can strategically put turrets in places either as an early warning system or at choke points to get them out of crawler mode or Huntress where you have to dodge and/or bait hatchets and pick up on the habits of each Huntress you go against and I feel like Blight is a snooze fest in comparison.
-
So as far as double pallet rock goes it's a strong loop as long as both pallets are up but as soon as one of them breaks it becomes extremely unsafe. So I would actually never respect those pallets and force the drop because the only thing survivor has going for it on that map is those loops and just how long the map is otherwise it's not so bad for killer.
-
None of that really changes the fact that Blights when that good are extremely oppressive to go against in soloQ and not at all fun to go against.
Blight is probably in a pretty balanced spot now so I wouldn't call for nerfs or anything like that but that doesn't mean I have to like going against him. Especially considering the counterplay is just hope you can make sharp turns and you have geometry to help you, it's not particularly interesting to me.
-
I'm gonna be honest I didn't know there even was a Trickster community.
-
At this point I'm waiting for the post of "trying to beat somebody else in a pvp game is toxic".
No saying gg is not disrespectful and people's skin needs to stop being paper. You'd think if they were actually trying to be a sore winner they'd be less subtle about it as in my experience most people don't have much problem writing things like "ggez" or "gg bb survivor/killer".
If someone says GG just say GG back win or lose and stop being so sensitive or better yet be the first one to say it win or lose and maybe we'd have a better community instead of this silly grievance culture we have now.
-
I kinda think it's gonna be slender.

I'm not saying Lethal is OP or anything, it's a solid, useful perk, I'm just saying the only counter to it is Distortion, so it's no surprise that when it's popular, so is Distortion.
Sure, I don't think Distortion is unfair or anything I just think it recharges too easily.
-
I feel like BHVR would be very hesitant to work with Netflix again and for good reason. I feel like that makes ST Vecna's prospects grim.
-
On one hand I get it, being in chase the moment the game starts can be annoying but with gen regression and delay being toned down aura reading is the next best thing so you can't blame people for running it.
I don't even think Lethal is broken at all it just lets the killer not waste time at the beginning of the game and I would think survivors would prefer that as opposed to having to wait out Corrupt instead.
-
I have no idea where Hag is now, 4-5 years ago she was a top 5 killer. Now? She was under threat from being outdated but then she got buffed and maps getting smaller and healing being nerfed were also massive buffs for her.
She's probably high B tier these days it's entirely dependent on how coordinated the team is. I don't think SWF automatically means bad game because most people don't know how to play against her but experienced teams that know to trigger traps while she's preoccupied and can break the 3 gen early are going to give her a tough time but at the same time if they mess up and she gets a basement hook then the 4 man out is almost impossible if the hag is good.
-
Unknown with Devour Hope, Grim Embrace, Unforeseen, and Lethal Pursuer.
Still working on making it the best it can be, BBQ probably being slotted in at some point.
Been watching a lot of found footage movies lately and was inspired to make this. Basic idea is you play normal for the first 3 hooks then go undetectable teleporting everywhere one shoting people and hopefully jump scaring them.

"just wanted to do gens, no clicky clicky, no trying to sabo no trying to be unhookable or playing immersed no anti-tunnel or exhaustion perks even"
Let them to go to your server and play with them, let see if when you see a person with a tollbox of 50 charges, build to last, prove thyself, streetwise, you continue defending these builds.
I have and they just don't really bother me, any amount of gen slowdown and snowballing completely destroys them. It's like any aggro strategy if you don't stop them early they win but if you stall long enough they do not do much.
-
I thought it was next month.
-
That's been a thing since last year. I don't think it's a huge deal, it's cosmetic and the chance to get them for free. It would be cool if the option for shards was there though.
-
With how many BP you get per game now while yes you get less cakes than killer there's still no reason not to end the event with hundreds of cakes on the survivor you want
-
The game is a weird design where it's all pallets and few loops and vaults at which point you're either a killer that cares about pallets (Freddy, Pig, Ceno) or you're not (Legion, Xeno, Nemesis) and how you feel about the map is based on that.
-
Bros literally just wanted to do gens, no clicky clicky, no trying to sabo no trying to be unhookable or playing immersed no anti-tunnel or exhaustion perks even.
Probably the least "toxic" group of survivors I've seen.
-
I feel like all the "X side is ruining the event" threads are proof that a "casual mode" would be a disaster. We literally have queues for the regular mode and a fun event mode running concurrently and there's not really any difference in how people play between the two.
-
It's such a a weird thing to me when people say this to me after I 4k and they get salty. I literally just did 1v4 and won why would I bother to do a 1v1 lol.
It always came across as coming from inexperienced survivors who think chase is the only thing that matters and have no concept of macro play.
-
I will never understand why people get so angry over Nicholas Cage who has done a number of iconic horror films being in DBD.
Besides that I don't really care if they stretch the definition of horror a little bit to accommodate more licences as we can probably count on one hand the number of BIG licenses out there for them to get. For sake of longevity it's kind of a necessity.

So cobblers gets slightly more for survivor, and a ton for killer. So the survivor can get more cobblers to boost the killer more. Yeah that makes complete sense.
I mean how much the killer gets is irrelevant? You get more BP with cobbler is just a factual statement. Not bringing it to spite the killer is an emotional choice, you can certainly do it but the fact remains bringing cobbler maxes out your BP gains.
-
I feel like anyone who says soloQ is the worst it's ever been never played before the action portraits were a thing, actually not knowing what anyone was doing was pure pain.
Survivor is in a weaker state RN but the real issue is people being so quick to quit, if people actually tried more the game is relatively balanced.
-
It just has to not recharge while in chase and it's fine.
-
That would be silly because little do people know but two slowdowns is probably the optimal number to bring anyway.
-
Old DBD had infinites, no protection against tunneling and camping, You only had to do 4 gens if somebody died, before that were ridiculous hatch stand offs, Eruption....just Eruption, Skull Merchant 1.0, Omega Blink Nurse, 3 hatchet iri Huntress, Getting DS'd 4 times in 90 seconds, Dead Hard lmao and it goes on and on.
Saying DBD is the most unbalanced now is silly if anything we're in a weird place where most things feel weak on both sides.
-
Turning BP into a moral dilemma is wild lmao.
But either way logically bringing the cobblers is still correct for BP gains since theoretically people are going to play the same regardless of wether you bring them or not so you're still getting more BP than you would have otherwise which allows you to get more cobblers while they're still available.
-
Rn got roughly 60 cakes on Sable I got her to p13 and plan on keeping her there cuz it feels right.
Will be leveling up Unknown and we'll see how far I go with him cuz I really want to learn him and see if they're really as bad as people say or if it's just a case of "not a dash killer therefore they're bad" and people not taking the time to really learn them. Maybe I'll p100 them maybe I'll get to p3 then stop and wait for drac we'll see.
-
gift this week put me over 5 million bp, I'm about to buy this entire bakery on Thursday.
-
Hilariously that would probably be a massive nerf to legion.
But in all seriousness I don't think a change like that is needed if anything maybe something like everything is normal for the first 3-4 injuries and if a survivor gets injured 5 times they get mangled and hemorrhage, like the wound gets harder to heal if it keeps being reopened.
To be clear even that I don't think is needed but at least it's more thematic.
