It will change with the next patch to be "reach maximun mutation rate 1 time". Source: patch notes.

I actually love them (when playing as killer), they're so naive and pure... The other day I found one called "invisible survivor" and I kept finding them while they tried to be sneaky to no avail.
But that said, they're generally terrible teammates.
-
Diversion. Nothing in this game makes me more happy than throwing a pebble and see the killer go over there to check.
-
I'm new to the game
Unfortunately low rank killers tend to camp a lot, but that's because they don't know better. The truth is that camping is easily punishable by survivors, but they need some experience to do so. Try to get to higher ranks and you'll see that the few killers who camp get gen rushed to hell.
-
The problem with "the worst killer" argument is that even killers considered bad are so relatively to other killers, but not to how actually strong they are against survivors. If you look for statics that the devs showed in the past there is no killer with a kill chance less than 50%.
-
With a handful of killers that can just make it impossible to save in the basement and any killer can at least get a trade if anyone goes for unhooks is the basement good for DBD?
That's the entire point. The basement is supposed to be the most dangerous place to be in because it's a dead end with 4 hooks. It makes the map more dinamic, since survivors need to actively avoid it but at the same time they are drawn to it because of the chest and the god pallet in the vicinity.
I don't get how all that might be "outdated" whatever it's supposed to mean.
-
I'm confident it will come back under a different skin.

Nah I love current Coldwind for how different it is. Kind of a " you're not even safe in the daytime " aspect.
Coldwind is my favorite set of maps so entirely disagree.
I agree. At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me.

This community periodically needs something new to complain about. This period it's Tinkerer, the next: who knows...
-
Nah, all in all I think maps are pretty balanced (except Haddonfield which is in need of an overhaul since a long time) and in my experience map offerings are used without malicious intents.

Sounds like it would be very tricky to balance for all scenarios.
What if a survivor DC's on death hook (potentially to remove the killers ability to Pop/BBQ), and is replaced by a bot.
Would that bot also be on death hook? Or would it be a 'new' survivor with three hooks left in them?
It would likely be significantly easier to find and down a bot than a player, especially at a high level, and so does that bot just count as free hooks, and thus free Pops and BBQs? Likewise, free hook farming for the survivors?
It would obviously not be a new survivor. Just the same, but controlled by an AI instead of a player. If someone dcs on death hook that's it, they're dead.

I agree that All Seeing - Blood is kinda busted on him now, but his basekit is fine. The only thing that changed is that he is no longer required to use Windstorm and on very open maps he is not at a huge disadvantage anymore. As per everything else he plays exactly like before so if you have problem with him now it you had them even before.
-
All your solutions would make RBTs extremely useless.
you cannot remain stealthy when trying to remove them.
You see, the problem is this. You can. I see so many survivors just mindlessly go to the nearest box, without worrying about the killer or in general what is happening around them. You just need to not do that.

I just cant believe they didnt implement what im talking about already. Their solution to balancing their game has basically been to force people to play with the dc penalty.
Probably because your solution is good at the start of the match. But in the middle/end game, there are too many variables for a simplicistic solution like that to work.
-
Iirc they are working on implementing bots to replace survivors who DC.
-
There’s been a dynamic shift
Yeah, killers got stronger over the years...I guess you weren't around in 2016
In any case that wouldn't work. Remember this is a multiplayer PvP game, not a single player survival. All players need an equal chance to win, because always losing is not fun. If killers were much more powerful than survivors, there would be too many killers and too few survivors, making queue times skyrocket.

However, while the map will no longer be available, The Entity is not so willing to let go of some of its other favorite playthings…
Yes, but this line in the announcement makes me think it will just be temporary and we will see it again under a new skin.

This line from the announcement makes me think this is exactly what is going to happen. They will reskin the map and re-release it under a new name.
-
The timing was so bad that I doubt it was their choice.
-
Yes, it is. Losing a license it's probably one of the worst things that could happen to this game.
As the game keeps bringing in IPs now we know at any stage any of them could just end up the same
I doubt it. I bet after this Behaviour will make sure that it won't be possible for licenses to do this again. Otherwise any new license could be a huge flop if people thought that it could be just temporary.
-
While I'd love an exhaustive answer on why it's happening, it's clear Behaviour can't say anything.
My guess is the license holders saw the success ST had on DbD and decided they wanted their own, exclusive game, and wanted to remove any competition. They didn't remove the characters and perks in DbD just because they can't, legally speaking. Unsurprisingly the only "free" (of legal obligations) content ST-related is going away. Again, this is just my guess and it's 100% speculation.
-
It works, it's just stupidly hard to get it. Survivors seem to avoid at all costs the yellow gas for some reason, probably most have no idea it buffs them.
As Startdust said your best bet is trying it at the exit gates, otherwise I found short loops kinda good for it. Just don't do it in the open cause it's a waste of time.
-
Personally I think fog offerings should be removed and the fog should always be max.
-
Survivors emit zero breathing sounds when they equip this perk
I think that is the main problem, otherwise the perk is ok (since it's usefullness is entirely dependant on the survivor). Make it not affect breathing sound, and buff the breathing aspect of Stridor to compensate for the fact Iron Will completely counters it now.
-
Windows are your best friends against a cloaked Wraith. When you're not sure where he is, be careful about your whereabouts, try to avoid empty areas.
I also like to confuse the killer while he is uncloaking by running into him and then running away. Often it makes them ######### up their lunge and it's hilarious.
-
Myth: Bubba is the best basement camper
Truth: while he strongly punishes reckless saves he still needs survivors to be grouped, the Huntress instead is particularly good at downing multiple people before they leave the basement stairs, even if they spread out.
Mention of honor to the Hag which can make impossible to even reach the basement hooks. Still, she is unable to down more than one survivor.
-
A little research before posting this wouldn't have hurt anybody.
-
Mmmh? They didn't change Spirit, only a perk and the change wasn't aimed at her.
But yes, the "stand still to win" strategy is bs. There should be a tell for when she uses her power, that would require the killer to be a bit smart and use LoS blockers to not be seen.
-
Demo is highly underrated, that's why they he's rare. It's a solid killer and after the last changes I'd say he is well balanced.
-
Personally I'm annoyed by the fact it shows you got the hit and then "oops, nevermind".

No no no, I disagree entirely, a survivor get punished for securing escape by camping, so killers should get the same treatment I'm afraid.
If you just dole out blood points all you get it lazy survivors not playing the game and seeking out killer for a hook. That's insanely open for griefing / abuse.

I regularly get 4ks when playing killer, I have never camped, I sometimes achieve that before 1 gen get gets finished. Camping in main phase has no benefit to killer apart from securing a kill. All it does is waste time for the survivor. I also regularly get between ~25 - 30k points after match regardless of hooking all or not.
There is no killer who benefits from standing there doing nothing for 2 minutes. It's a bad practice and should be punished. The only time camping is a valid tactic is during the gates powered phase through to end game collapse; camping hooks (to stop survivors rescuing), camping gates (to stop survivors escaping), camping hatch (to stop survivors escaping) all valid and good tactics during this time.
There is no killer who benefits from standing there doing nothing for 2 minutes
That is just a specific form of camping. The word camping is pretty generic and includes a variety of situations, you can't just point out the most extreme and ignore the others.
-
Something that makes me activate the tunnel-mode is people bodyblocking with BT. I always do my best not to tunnel people, but if they insist on getting hit I'll make sure to hit them again.
-
He's a solid killer and personally I find him quite fun. The two types of bottles allow you to get creative.
-
during main phase no killer should be camping
I disagree, sometimes camping is a good call depending on the survivors' behaviour. Camping can already be heavily punished by gen rushing, if only people stopped crouching for two minutes around the hook.
-
They should fix the successful hit FX to make it happen after the server validation to prevent this kind of confusion, but the system works fine. I keep getting hit when I don't react fast enough.
-
On a second thought, Raccoon City Police Department. They made a beautiful job recreating it with the added Entity's touch, but that map doesn't work at all with DbD's gameplay.

The delay is way too long though, and needs to be cut down by at least half a second.
Personally I don't have a problem with the delay, you just need to throw the bottle far in front of you so that by the time you get to the cloud it's already active.
-
The delay is there to not make the survivor get the speed buff.
-
I don't feel a difference. If anything, it feels as if the killer lunge is slightly different, I keep miscalculating it and getting hit.
-
That's a bit far fetched... If anything I think some psycopath like him doesn't really see race but only possible victims/throphies, at least according to his og lore.
-
A good rule of thumb is that if a change is not listed in the patchnotes it's most likely a bug.
-
The chat filter is probably the worst feature added in the game since its release.
-
I'm a Jake main, 'nuff said.

I watched just the original just because everyone here seemed to know Candyman and honestly I found the movie meh. It was ok, but nothing spectacular.

People always say this but when i play whispers it practically is always lit throughout the match.
For me it seems that whispers only does something at the very start and the very end of the match and the end is mostly irrelivant
If it's always on it's doing its job, which is not let you waste time in areas where there are no survivors.
-
I prefer Whispers. The fact it's less accurate is greatly compensated by its usefulness throughout the whole match.
-
It makes hitting great skillchecks easier. 'Nuff said.

There is always one guy who complains about something, but insults are luckily rarer.
On a side note, as an italian I can say italians are among the worst.
