The night is one of those ideas that is an awesome addition, but the game is not ready yet to receive it.
Hopefully, they will be working and adjusting him as time goes on, I bought him, but I haven't played him yet, got very discouraged after watching other people play lol.

Not true. Sometimes you down a survivor and another is right there so taking the chase is in your favor.
Either way, survivors can't complain that being slugged to bleed out takes too long but then make sure they're on the ground for the full time.
if the other one is right there, there won't be time for the downed survivor to disappear
if you took too long to down the survivor that was "right there", then you don't deserve to hook the one you "forgot" on the ground for several seconds.
-
the game is fun, but it's a no for me cause of face camping, slugging and tunneling for the survivor side
and bad maps, too much pallets and broken loops for the killer side

you guys wanted DH nerfed, it got it
DH now is more skill than just E (except for those losers who script)
but its not our fault players evolved to use DH better
killers can still easily bait it
fyi mending still sucks

watch them crying about it next begging BHV to nerf it again LOL
I don't use dead hard cause I don't have the talent to use it, I'm not patient, I don't have the "fast reflexes" required to
I use the jonah one that I don't remember the english name

It’s not that simple when slugging is a required and encouraged strategy for certain killers such as plague Myers and Oni
None of these killers are required slugging
That mentality is definitely what's wrong with this game
-
@Exxodus21 said:
The match should just end if all remaining survivors are slugged for more than enough time to activate Unbreakable. It also sucks when a slugged survivor crawls off to avoid being hooked.
the only way a survivor can crawl off and disappear is if you leave them on the ground cause you think you can't win the game if a single survivor gets hatch. So, if you fix that part of the mentality, no one will ever crawl and disappear.
-
I don't have any problem with the new dead hard
sometimes I kind of get myself thinking: "wow... I can't believe they timed that this good"
But on the same note, when they do I don't feel mad cause it's really not easy to be patient enough to wait a last second to use dead hard, so when they get it right I feel they deserve the extra health state.
I do get why the old Dead Hard was frustrating, your hit literally went through survivors and they got distance, but now I see more people failing the new one than managing to use it right and when they use it right you still connect the hit, making them have to mend for a few seconds thus wasting their time.

Try going into the game setting, enter windowed mode, then change what you need to in the Nvidia filter settings, and then go back to full screen mode. This method works for me.
it doesn't work for me, the overlay simply won't open. It's like it's not installed.
I'll run a reinstall for my graphics to see it changes anything
thanks anyway
-
BTW, my filters stopped working, The nvidia overlay doesn't open when I use the shortcuts.
Anyone knows anything?

Let me guess: The accessibility issue is that survivors are able to hide in dark corners?
I play mostly survivor now and I use filters.
The maps are way to hard to see the killer, the survivor, the generator, the flower in the corner, the walls, the rock, the plant that's not passable and the one that is. It's not about killers, it's about everything else.
-
y'all say light born is useless, but when it comes to situations like this you don't want to use it out of spite.
The perk is there to be used, it has a purpose. Just use the perk and stop complaining about flashlight saves.
Or you can use Franklyn's
-
y'all so sensitive, omg
"Oh I don't like two davids"
"Oh, I hate claudettes"
"Oh, I can't play with megs"
ffs
-
like this
one dc'd at the hook, then he slugged me for minutes until he found the Ada, that was hiding in the basement waiting for hatch.
this is my relationship with the game rn

And I think you don't play the game. The new map, for example, has such a spot in the house. That house is within a short jogs distance from almost every gen.
nah, you didn't answer my question

@RpTheHotrod said:

I'm not saying it's op. I'm saying this change will cause a problem. People who do this, they are actively working on objectives. If you chase them, they are completely safe. While you're chasing them. That's 3 survivors getting free time on gens. If you don't chase them, then that's them getting risk free time working on an objective. Doing a chase is risk vs reward. For boil players who run to hook dead zones, it's all risk and no reward. That's a problem. Either you chase and give the other survivors free gen time, or you don't chase and still have a survivor getting free gen time. If you could chase down and hook or slug the survivor, then you are rewarded with the other survivors having to pull away from gens to save them.
Now, that's not going to be a thing. That's a big problem. Now anyone running the strat will always be giving their team an uncounterable edge - a guaranteed gen progression at any given moment.
It's not a big problem currently because you can just slug them and put pressure, but it will be a HUGE problem if they can simply get themselves up. If you chase them, they find their safety area. No one has to get them if they go down. So, the chase ends up being entirely fruitless, so what do you do? They get a free pass. They are untouchable for the match. You can't chase them.
my dude, if the survivor is actively doing objectives, they can't be too far from the hook so you can't hook them.
it doesn't make any sense, there are 5 generators, you mean to tell me the survivor is always next to a high building AND doing gens to use boil over anytime they want?
I think you're being dishonest.
-
right? they pretending boil over will kill the game after this update LOL

'Constantly'.
Yeah.
You're massively exaggerating.
I play about as much survivor as I do killer, and aside from tactical slugging (someone's on a pallet and there's another survivor nearby, or survivors are abusing spots/techniques that make them impossible to hook), I almost never see it.
You get the occasional griefer using Knockout, but that's vanishingly rare. I see more survivors abusing map geometry to go down and clip through to make themselves impossible to pick up.
I guess you resent the people who play killer, rather than the role itself? Otherwise I'm not seeing why you are so bitter here. Because the way this game works - both in terms of seemingly unfixable bugs and exploits and scenarios like above is not the fault of killers. Mostly they are just trying to counter what survivors are doing.
nah, it's definitely constantly

So you asked what will happen to No Mither. It will provide a 75% reduction to sounds of pain, no pools of blood, and increase the self-recovery time down from 45 seconds. There is no unique benefit, but it compiles multiple other benefits together at the cost of needing to be injured all game.
in other words, useless
-
it's a bug, it makes no sense nor it has ever happened to me.

kindred and Decisive
and i hope they add leader too, also would love prove thyself and sprint burst
and they should add the ability to the survivor to break walls too

Because I literally see it at least once every 5 games? Just because you don't use it doesn't mean it isn't used.
where are the numbers tho?
if it appears every 5 games, it must have a high pick rate, but it's never been mentioned since it's last nerf
less than than 10% pick rate, something is off here
-
@RpTheHotrod said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200786#Comment_3200786
Maybe 30% of the time. They are the ones who just high-tail it to a second or third floor. Even if you down them, you literally can't get to a hook. You have to leave them slugged. Theres no counterplay to these kinds of survivors in chase. The percentage would be higher, but it's very map dependant.
As for the other 70%, those are people who just use the perk for...well frankly I don't know why. Those aren't a problem unless there's a body blocker, but that's just part of the game.
so
- it's very map dependent
- it has a less than 10% pick rate
- the survivor using it usually does nothing in the game other than run to high places
- in YOUR gameplay 70% of the time boil over is useless
yeah, boil over isn't going anywhere still
-
@RpTheHotrod said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200682#Comment_3200682
I see it once every 5 matches or so. It's not remotely rare.
and how many times have you lost a survivor to boil over in those matches if you had to guess?
-
@CosmicScarab said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200682#Comment_3200682
Boil over is still used quite a bit. If a survivor goes to a high point on a map or a dead zone, because some maps have areas with next to no hooks it is VERY easy for the survivor to get off, not to mention survivors get an offering that allows them to create dead zones. If this change goes through there is absolutely zero reason hooks should disappear upon sacrifice.
show me the recipits
boil over isn't even in the top 10 most used perks, it's behind even selfcare and self-care is sitting at 11%.
how is it boil over used quite a bit?
-
@CosmicScarab said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200601#Comment_3200601
It's absolutely insane that they didn't think about this. This is already an incredibly obnoxious strategy and it will be used so much more now that there is literally no counter to it.
for christ's sake, people, boil over isn't even used anymore
there are hooks all over the place, it's so difficult to pull this off, I can't believe you guys are talking about this
be real, tell me how many times have you guys lost a survivor for boil over in the last month?
-
@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200602#Comment_3200602
Nah, maybe 20% of games tops.
They've just butchered an entire facet of the gameplay loop, invalidating any and all interactions with survivors in the
dyingrelaxing state, in order to counter a niche endgame tactic, which is still possible and works even better.There's no reason for other survivors to come to the aid of a survivor in the
dyingrelaxing state any more. That's half of the pressure of slugging gone. Slugging as a pressure tactic is one of the things that makes not camping and tunnelling viable. Have fun being camped even more than you already are.Remember when the last update was meant to make it easier for killers to win without camping and tunnelling but instead it just led to more camping and tunnelling? Yeah, it's that all over again.
Decent killers are being driven away and leaving only the ######### behind.
nah, I think you're judging it by the way you play.
not really what happens
-
@Adjatha said:
So... Killers get a stylish way to finish out a game that they've already won and in compensation, Survivors get ANOTHER perk as a basekit ability?
Yeaaaaaaaah. Perfect balance as ever, Balance Team.

@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200452#Comment_3200452
So the upside is slugging the third survivor is now meta? I thought that was what survivors hated?
I don't slug for the 4k, but it's nice to know that playing nice is now not only punished but completely invalidated.
you don't, but in almost every game I play as survivor the killer slugs the third survivor for a 4 kill
and I think most of the people here also go through that on a daily basis
-
@Seraphor said:
This is awful for BOTH SIDES.
There is loads involved with going for rescues of survivors on the ground. A ton of perks that involve quick recovery or bonuses for picking up downed survivors. Positioning for flashlight saves. Baiting a slug so your team mates can go for the rescue or get themselves up with perks.
There's now no incentive to go to the aid of any survivor when they're downed. This invalidates an entire aspect of the game, which frankly should have been apparent when they realised they'd have to completely rework about 5 perks in order to make this work.
Likewise for killer that's strategy involved in slugging, you're using that slug as pressure or bait for other survivors. It takes time to go for the rescue, so you're still rewarded for a down even if you don't hook.
Killers have now lost a ton of pressure with no incentive for survivors to rescue their team mates. This should come with another 30 second extension to gen times to compensate. 2 minute gens here we come.
@Tsela said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3200374#Comment_3200374
Slugging was always used by killers to buy time, and this change doesn't affects that much. They will buy time with it. and slugging at the last 2 survivors in the game becomes even rewarding since if the killer downs one while another is slugged he instantly kills both of them
you guys must decide
-
@mischiefmanaged said:
I mean unbreakable will literally be the best perk in the game and Twins will now be completely unplayable.
I don't like to be overly dramatic and make fun of a bunch of people who are, but this is a terrible update. Slugging is both a valid strategy and commonly a required strategy for the killer to win. Getting multiple downs very quickly and snowballing is an absolute requirement at high levels of play. Making it so unbreakable literally causes you to pick yourself up repeatedly every 20 seconds makes it the strongest perk in the game.
"Slugging is both a valid strategy and commonly a required strategy for the killer to win"
well, not anymore LOLOLOL

It's happening to me too. It would be good if, when all 5 characters are in the lobby, the previous map all players had in their last trial were removed from the rng (with exception to map offerings).
That way there would be a greater chance of variety.
Also, I would like to see more original maps made to add variety. Killers such as The Trickster of The Blight are missing out on terrific map options.
And also, what about nightmarish versions of a twisted reality for survivors? Like a botanical garden for Claudette, except it's made of flesh, not plants? Or an athletics field with dangerous obstacles like spiked hurdles, or viscera along the track? Even licensed survivors could have amazing maps - Bill would have several options!
It would be awesome if they had a system for that for sure
do we know if the maps % chance of appearing are all the same or some maps have a bigger %?

we were talking about game changes that were needed and you didn't like them and used the example of a struggling trapper that went into the end game with 3 survivors alive on cowshed, making it seem like that's how most games end up. You just don't wanna accept that you might be wrong.
