Why? Can somebody just give me a reason why we should keep this in the game?
It is part of the risk/reward of performing actions close to the killer. You can vault that window or pallet, you can keep cleansing that totem or working on that generator, you can try unhooking that other survivor, but if the killer is literally right next to you and interrupts your actions, they get a grab for the interrupt.
-
My favorite tea baggers and flashlight clickers are the ones that after doing that, run around the corner and get caught in a bear trap.
-
I've always thought it'd be pretty hilarious if just for a day there was a secret patched event where spam crouches would cause a loud crack, injure the survivor and put them into the dying state, and spam flashlight clicks would break the flashlight and remove it from the match along with its add ons.
It'd make for a lot of hilarious streams.
-
I voted no, because I have a lot of fun, especially with friends, and we just start laughing when things fall apart.
THAT BEING SAID
Working on a generator, and panning the camera around to see The Shape in the distance stalking me through a vault or something jump scares me pretty good. And that's also lots of fun.

Laceration should at least not decay past 50%.
If you get hit with 1-3 Knives, sure. Decay to 0.
But if you get hit with 4-7 Knives then the Decay should just take you to 4 Laceration.
-
I haven't done all of the challenges and I typically just play a few games in the evening before bed and I finished the rift a long time ago. They've never really felt "grindy" to me, because it's just cosmetics. There aren't Shards or BPs in the rift so I don't really feel obligated to get those levels ASAP unless there just happens to be a cosmetic in one that I really really want.
And even then Rift cosmetics are being added to the store now, so I'm not worried about missing out in the long run either.
-
How about at least letting Laceration stacks sit at 4. If you hit them with 3 knives, it can decay to 0. If you hit them with 4-7 then it decays to 4.
Then you can give him some fun add ons that cause different effects if you have 50% Laceration on you.
-
I am so sick of the Bakers and their hillbilly nonsense.
I'd really rather them either go Classic Tyrant with Chris or Jill or promote the new game with a killer from it and "new" Chris. Seeing Ethan in third person would be strange.
-
I believe there's already been a statement that they want to finish reworking the old maps before working on creating new maps and that maps dedicated to the more recent killers have not been ruled out for the future.
-
If all four survivors have been slugged and the killer is refusing to hook them and instead wants to troll them by just standing around and waiting the bleed out timer then there should absolutely be a give up option or, if all four survivors are slugged at the same time then there should be a time limit for the killer to start hooking or they should be allowed to recover to injured.
-
I think it'd be a lot of fun. If there were 8 to 10 survivors running around you couldn't afford to waste any time camping or tunneling. Even with two killers.
-
If you're having problems finding totems then you should look up how Hex Totems are actually laid out in the same pattern each time. So if you find one, based on where you are on the map you can have a good guess as to where you need to run to find another and so on.

Anyone else notice this goes both ways?
No.
Survivors insult me when I beat them.
Survivors insult me when they beat me.
It is a very rare thing for a killer I win or lose against to be rude after the match.
-
Birkin that evolves every few hook states or generators
-
Prestige is only for the skins, it's never worth it for any other reason.

I get told to kill myself every match I struggle in as a killer. Makes me think about the mentality of survivor players.
Survivors are definitely sore winners from my experience.
They are also extremely salty losers from my experience as well.
As an example just this morning I was fooling around with Clown just doing a "hit 4 intoxicated survivors" ritual I rarely play Clown so he doesn't have any good perks or add ons and I wasn't trying to go for a 4k or anything so they all got away.
Then they told me I was horrible killer and i should go back to playing Fortnite. Which was lost on me because I've never played Fortnite.
When I play survivor win or less it is an absolute rarity for the killer to make a rude comment in the post game chat.

Iron Maiden only speeds up the locker opening and closing animation. His knife grabbing animation seems more time consuming than Huntress' hatchet grabbing animation so I don't think Iron Maiden would even be much of a time save on him.
I've seen Iron Maiden on him. It definitely speeds up his knife grab animations.

I believe he'll eventually get more buffs before he gets any nerfs.

It won't effect me much. My BIGGEST issue is there can potentially be times I can hit them and not pull them in to the dream world. It's punishing me for getting a hit. As far as the add ons...Sound is meh. It's a big part of killer. But even decent headphones make these add ons pointless
Running to an Alarm Clock for for that immunity might not be worth it or possible in a lot of cases. Alarm Clocks aren't exactly conveniently located at least.
-
Which is countered by 99% exit gates that are only opened as everyone runs out.

"Really good freddys will be fine". Because they're good killers in general. Some of the changes are still BS. And 95 % of his add ons are now stupid and useless.
Very much disagree with the new addons being useless. Sound is everything in DBD. 50% louder footsteps and a counter to Iron Will that doesn't involve using Stridor? These are good Add Ons.
Even though he can teleport to Generators also being able to hear them from 8m further away saves time on patrolling.
Black Box may be useless but give me all of those sound increasing Add Ons. Imma eat them up.
The change to traps doesn't matter one bit to people who know how to use his traps.
Super Slow Down Freddy's that needed all that extra time to win, and needed to be able to move at 115% speed while placing traps in loops are in trouble. But people who didn't need any of that to be good with Freddy are just shrugging their shoulders like "Okay, thanks for the louder survivors."
-
I typically play Killer more because I rarely play Survivor by myself and I'm not a Rank 1 Killer, the highest I've gotten is 5.
Dead Hard is not an issue for me. I've seen people use it to dash through traps, dash back behind me, dash forward and backwards through pallets and loops to pallet stun me. It's just a minor annoyance at worst.
In nearly all cases where its used against me it just results in getting a hit a couple seconds later, instead of getting that hit right then. Rarely does a use of Dead Hard end or significantly extend a chase.
-
It feels better to throw knives but Laceration still does nothing and still goes away so there’s no reason to get a few knife hits in where you can and then move on if the chase would take too long.
No point to knives if you can M1.
No point to knives if you will be able to catch up and eventually M1 before you can get all 8 knife hits.
No point to knives if it would take too long to get 8 hits or catch up and M1.
Theres just not much of a point to his knives.

Equip Small Game and you'll have that counter.
Yes, that change is what brought this up. You shouldn't have to equip perk for something that makes sense to just be part of the baseline UI.
-
I think the number of Hex Totems left in a level should just be part of the HUD somewhere. No indication of how many are active vs dull, but just a little marker to let you know how many are left.
-
Time to get some value out of those new sound increasing add ons for Freddy then.
-
Camping during the match is stupid and boring. It takes all the fun out of having to worry about being caught or chased by a good killer.
Camping when the generators are done is fine. Games over, gates are open, you can leave and win. There’s not much else for the killer to do but try to catch people coming back for a rescue and even then you’re looking at probably just a hook trade at best because of Borrowed Time.
All’s fair in the End Game Collapse.
-
Pause Entity Progress while the killer is close to the hooked survivor.

So are you walking backwards all game or...?
Spine Chill isn't only active when working a Gen.
No, if you read my post it says backing up to a gen can negate spine chill.
-
All a killer has to do is back up to gens and it negates Spine Chill.
-
Still have lots of fun. Especially with friends even if we lose. Still enjoy killer, even if I lose and don't get a kill. Wish I could just hit a button to auto spend bloodpoints for each bloodweb level.
-
Plague really is the best direct comparison.
Take Plague and slow her down to 110%
Then make her move at 85% while charging up Purge and 90% while Purging.
Then make the Sickness auto-heal from Survivors if you don't continuously hit them.
and that's Trickster.
-
Well obviously the thing to do is slow her to 110 and then make her move at 90% speed while purging and lower that into the 60%s the longer you purge.
And have sickness auto heal shortly after you stop inflicting it.
Wait no, that’d be a terrible idea.
-
Great design, lore, and music. Fun Perks I can’t wait to try on others.
Love everything about the Trickster but how slow he is.
Needs to Lacerate faster or move faster and Lacerate shouldn’t decay.
-
I've been playing him almost exclusively since Tuesday. So I'm giving it my all. Even when I consistently have hilarious survivors that fumble their way to barely escaping only because of the disadvantage I'm at and still manage to get in their tea bags on the way out and pat their selves on the back about how well they all did in the post game chat.
-
I haven't played The Twins much because I haven't put an investment of BP into them to get them any real useful perks but I still enjoy playing them. I really love running around as Victor and pouncing on people through windows and over pallets.
I also like using Decoy Victor with the Exposed Add On. If the survivors leave their selves with the three close generators I can put him down in that area and someone will always take the bait and kick him.

No that was twins trickster. was the product of that
But the twins don't have any good cosmetics that change the overall appearance. I know, because I looked because i would have bought some. lol.
-
I'd play another one if the environments were more varied and had more interaction, the survivor cast was as varied and interesting, the survivors all had something unique about them or a unique power they could activate once per game to give some individuality, and the killers were as varied and interesting as the ones in DBD.
I would not mind at all if the survivors had a way to fight back or directly fend off and delay the killer in some way other than literally just running circles around piles of junk on the ground.
I would also love for there to be multiple ways to fulfill objectives and escape the map instead of it always being sit on these 5 things for a minute.
I'd also want each map to have a unique event or mechanic that you can build up to and activate somehow that both the survivors or the killer could take advantage of on occasion to shake things up from time to time.
I really enjoy DBD. I love all the characters and killers, I love most of the cosmetics and the designs. Not to mention the fun of having licensed characters like Freddy and Pyramid Head in the game. The bar I have for something that I think I'd prefer to play instead of DBD is quite high.
-
It looks really really rough and the animations are quite bad.
-
I have a lot of fun with Blight, even though I'm terrible at him. It's just fun bouncing around everywhere.
Same with Oni. I have a lot of fun charging around the map whether I land a hit or miss.
In terms of actual fun and effectiveness combined? Plague. It has to be Plague.
-
He shouldn't slow down while aiming or throwing. I start chasing and I feel like I want to use my fun killer power, but if I try the survivor just gains distance on me, so why bother.
-
I just want him to throw knives in front of him and not off to the side.
-
There's benefit to having the knives take survivors from healthy to injured in that you don't suffer a melee swing cooldown and you can just keep walking after them.
-
I have friends that play survivor and I play survivor with them. if I play by myself I usually play killer because solo survivor isn't as fun, and if i should need to get up and go AFK suddenly it doesn't matter if I do that as Killer, but if I did that as survivor I'd just be a liability to my team.
-
On the contrary more people need to be constantly making as much noise about this as possible. Anything to get him fixed. i really like this character and if he played worth a damn I'd probably play no one else.
-
I like the outfits with the tie. I wish I could just give him a tie for the other outfits with the coats I like better. But the tie was a great idea. Kudos to the person who thought that up.
-
I see people outright disconnecting more than suicide on hook.
If a game starts and a survivor and I bump into each other right at the start and I get an early hook, I see a lot of people just disconnect the moment they are downed.
-
What is the actual change being considered for Keys?
