Its amazing the lengths of paragraphs people will type just to say they're not very good at the game.
-
Nightlight says everyone has over a 40% escape rate.
Try to queue up with people with the 44% or higher like Laurie, Nancy or Cheryl.

Punishes him from using his power how? Genuinely, I don’t understand what you mean. This doesn’t punish him at all, just doesn’t give him a guaranteed tunnel out. Does Pig putting a trap on a survivor and tunneling them while it’s active not allow her to use her power? Weskers infection provides a threat and slowdown, exactly like Pigs. Let’s not act like Weskers power is hard to hit now. He’s a cracked Demo who also gets rewarded with slowdown for hitting his power, unlike Demo.
His current infection timer rewards him for bad play. Literally all this would change is the scenario where he tunnels off hook and fails to get a down within a minute of that happening. You shouldn’t just get a 7% haste debuff for struggling to tunnel, why are we rewarding that.
If Wesker can't infect during chance, then Plague can't infect during chase as well.
-
I agree, WoO should be nerfed with how overused it is with high escaped builds.
-
@Nebula said:
Weskers infection should work like Pig's traps and I'm honestly shocked it doesn't, it's such a simple solution.
Pause the infection timer while in chase, easy as that.
This just punishes Wesker from using his power now, what are you talking about?

If 2K is a loss why do people complain about Killers wanting a 4k?
-
Reminder that 60% winrate is based on the chances of killing a Survivor, not getting a 4k.
So the Killer has a 60% chance to kill each Survivor that game.
-
I don't know what else BHVR can do without completely gutting Killers at this rate.
-
There is nothing morally wrong with just slugging when the most popular Survivor perks tend to lean towards being hooked. And not a lot of people are willing to use their unbreakable when 3-5 gens are still left.
Remember, the only counter to Knock-out is SWFs. And SWFs counter the majority of things to begin with.
-
OP post sounds like a cry for help with the amount of LoLs used.
-
Guess that explains why the Entity added end game because Survivors wouldn't leave and hold the Killer hostage.

What a friendly and welcoming community.
Thanks for the advice, I love playing this game and I’m sure I’ll benefit from some of these tips :)
Friendly advice, it's only going to go downhill from here. I recommend just putting in at the most 100 or so hours before going cold turkey because you'll soon be dealing with some of the most toxic people that it'll make your average Dota2 player blush. Its not a fun experience to face a bully squad who know you don't have experience and purposely elongate a game, or a Killer who bleeds everyone out for 4 minutes.
-
I noticed that no matter if BP bonus or not, Survivor queue takes super long to go through. The only times I get long killer queues is when a new Killer just released, like Chucky.
I honestly think its just placeabo at this point.
-
Its still funny that Tapes are considered that much of a skill issue they need to be changed.
Secondary objections will never happen because of this.

Yeah and the white glow on the Survivor should not be visible to the Killer, it just lets the Killer know someone is very close by and planning to save.
I first saw the Survivor glow as Killer and contacted support thinking it had to be a bug. Unfortunately, it is intended.
Granted, the Killer can just look at the hook bar and see it not go down.

AUTOPILOT ACTIVATED
This says a lot about Survivors. 😔

Not really because people only brought it for a free escape at endgame.

I've said many times here
Knock Out + Sloppy Butcher and only slugging guarantees you a win 10x more than playing the game as intended
I usually do the slug 1 person and hook the rest strategy. If that slugged gets up, slug a new victim and repeat.
Its honestly amazing how many games I've won by forcing a 3vs1.

Well, that is certainly true and you already mentioned it: We dont know how high actual killrates are if we would include DC's. If it would be 60% or much more is speculation.
I doubt they would not count suicides tho. How would they be able to filter that?
Personally i dont have to watch killer streams because i play killer on my own, and i can confirm that loosing is very rare, especially compared to survivor. So yes, there is no room for dabate that killer win more then survivor, nobody with a sane mind would question that - especially with all the data we have.
Actually, it doesn't count DC/Suicides/Given Up/AFK if people put them in. Everything is manual.

C'mon, you have how many thousands of hours in this game?
Laurie served you on a silver platter, farmed like a big fat pumpkin.
Could he have let you go? Of course. But, you cannot expect the killer to play nice and stupid at the same time. This one is 100% your teams fault, mostly Laurie's. As soon as you got hooked, all three left their gens and ran towards the hook, even continued while getting chased.
For the other videos... yeah, getting tunneled sucks but this is sadly the state of the game now. Also, when will people stop healing under the hook with no healing boosts, especially now that you can see, the killer is not chasing anybody? When will people learn to not unhook in the first ten seconds. People play stupid and expect not getting punished for it.
I was trying to wrap my head around his comment for a day and still didn't understand why he thought Trickster was at fault here.
Did he want Trickster to walk past the 3 Survivors at Shack, not chase the Laurie that literally walked into him or end his Main Event early so he could personally let HIM escape because BHVR condition Survivors to go 'Oh we got free BT! My teammate will be fine if I unhook them in front of the Killer that's chasing me right now'.
Christ sake... Trickster was just playing the damn game.
-
Certain people would say this is the Trickster's fault, sadly.
-
Not trying to defend pain res but isn't it a good perk for Killers to use because it supports not tunneling Survivors?
How often do Killers get to first hook every Survivor in a game?
-
Slugging is a good way to know if you're facing against a group of solos or a SWF.
So I recommend slugging for the information.
-
@Nazzzak said:
I mean, their response to the solo survivor experience was pretty much 'too bad, so sad', so I feel like the fact that they're actively working on killers and taking on feedback is a positive thing.
They have to keep those killrates high somehow or else all Killers will have Nemesis Kill rate
right now.

You think the killer tweaks were killer nerfs? They were seriously going to nerf pig?
I want to laugh but it's actually not funny.
Unironically yes for Pig due to screams throwing people off boxs.
I really do believe they were going to nerf it so Survivors can't scream when doing a box.
-
If they removed them, they highly weren't going to be buffs for them due to backlash.
-
You can always equip Hope if it upsets you that much.

They would not? Why they would?
Not all SWFs are ignoring gens, most of them actually know how to put pressure on killer. And your suggestion would make all killers dodge SWFs which means they would not get match.
So not gonna happen.
And why would a majority of Killers dodge SWF. Do tell me because I believe you know the answer as to why they don't want to deal with them.

You act like that wouldn't kill the game and therefore negatively impact EVERYONE.
If the game dies because people can't bully others than maybe its for the best.
I rather have a game where everyone gets along than one where there's constant fighting and hate.

That just encourages lobby shopping and would make Solo worse.
You act like Solos wouldn't dodge a SWF as well.
I'm not going to be your Gen Jocky while you go harass the killer trying to get epic power struggle plays. I'm glad Killer bled you all to death.
-
SWF and Streamers feel like the root of a lot of toxicity to this game.
Perks like Head-on, OOO, and Flashlights in general have been considered toxic things because these people abuse these features. In Solo, something like a head-on save should be considered a impressive feat and a very rewarding part of the game. In reality, your reward will be getting hard-tunneled and hit on hook by the Killer because they faced an infamous head-on squad some point in their life and think you're whole team is a SWF now.
Again, I beg you BHVR, just tell Killer if they're facing Solo/SWF so both Killer/Solo-Q doesn't have to suffer anymore.
SWF made their bed, they can go face the killers who are more than happy to face them with their Lightborn.
-
Would being a 110 really change much of a difference for him?
-
Its always fun to see people cope with nightlight stats when their favorite perks are on the line. Too bad it wasn't around when DH was at its peak, the usage rate would be amazing to witness in comparison to the other perks in line.
-
Thank god more people are using Bond!
-
Everyday I will suggest BHVR just to put a small icon on top of players if they're a SWF or not.
Toxicity in this game would drop dramatically if Killers and Solo-Q knew they were going against/teaming with SWFs. It really would.
-
I know Survivors are use to demanding Killers play a certain way but you cannot do the same for your teammates.
Stop forcing people to play the way you want, it predatory. And it makes you no better than a Twitter user.
-
Wait, people don't set their steam to private after playing DBD?
-
Its a weird one because Killers who don't run any Aura perks don't get affected by at all and makes Survivors have only 3 perks to run with. Maybe more Killers should stick to gen regress and other perks because Aura perks seems out of Meta at the moment.
-
Bond and Deja Vu are the only non-selfish perks in the top 10 right now for Survivors on nightlight. 8/10 of Survivors use selfish perks.

Ironically, Thanatophobia again works on all killers, because most survivors refuse to heal. Its so wild...
I actually had a lot of Survivors DC more when I started using Thanatophobia on even the basic of Killers.
Survivors fear the Red Bar.
-
Its fine to try and take a hit when your teammate has to do a risky rescue and they'll get downed at the hooking process but do not believe you can bodyblock the Killer and act like they'll go for someone else.
BT was to protect from getting framed from your teammates, not tunneling in geneal.
-
@XshyguyX said:
Don't tunnel.... if you can help it. Especially if they are "bad". Ease up. You get more points, so do they. Everyone has a little more fun.
Idk. When I play I tend to go for points more than for kills. Prolong tye obviously shorter easy games bc "bad"
Just me.
That seems like an overreaction to a Killer taking someone out early...
Its like if the Killer DC right after 2 gens popped and they had yet to hook anyone.
-
Considering its used for seflish chase builds, its primary a chasing perk.
Don't let anyone tell you newbie Survivors are using this perk, they're using Selfcare and only Selfcare.
-
If anything this proves MMR is horrible for Killers because they got to stick to one Killer or else they fall behind.

80-90% of the 3 genning i experience is on the survivors, not the killers. I cant remember last time i saw a killer guarding 3 gens from the start of the game.
This is from today, there are 4 gens left and they are all in that cluster. Not because killer guarded them, but because survivors did the rest.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/APD04C2ZQBA0/image.png
This is from the day before yesterday, again survivors are doing other gens, i was the only one trying to split those gens.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ECIGQTYPPF1F/image.png
None of the examples here are the killers fault, but the survivors.
Sadly the vibe i get from this 3 gen debate is "we play bad, punish killers" .
I hope BHVR are aware and the solution will not punish killers.
People sometimes forget that BT basekit wasn't to prevent tunneling but to not punish the unhooked Survivor because their teammate wanted to farm off them.
-
They might do something about Catapult huntress sadly.

In the worst days of the gen kicking meta or with the OG Skull Merchant, everyone was able to break a 3-gen. But now that none of that exists anymore, it seems to be a problem of urgency? Totally ignoring that there are killers in the game like The Hag who have no choice but to play this way.
Where is my basekit Corrupt Intervention to prevent gens from be completed in the first two minutes of a game? I mean, perks have no effect unless they are equipped, and if we don't equip this one we lost 1/5 or 2/5 of our objetive with no counterplay... Most killers don't even stand a chance if they don't stack four gen defense perks, but that doesn't seam a problem.
Most Survivors can't seem to navigate maps without WoO either. I hate to say they're being dumbed down but when you're most popular perk is a handicap...
-
They can buff DS to ten seconds as long as they never EVER bring its endgame viability back.
No Killer should have to go through that pain ever again.
