the difference in this case, is that survivors can do nothing about the being in dying state, however the killer can do a lot to force survivors out of the match.
Terrible excuse why should killers have to suffer the humiliation while survivors get a easy out make it fair what about when survivors hide all game and not progress any gens you gonna do something about that?

Abandon Feature exists to prevent hostage situations such as killers bleeding everyone out or survivors not doing gens.
EGC is not a hostage situation by virtue of still being able to hit, hook, or kill survivors.
You also have the agency to push them out or farm blood points elsewhere.
If we're going to add Abandon options just because something feels bad then they should let you Abandon If you get hit on hook or a gen gets popped in your face.
Then by that logic survivors should be forced to watch the mori sense that's no hostage situation

Then this is pretty suspicious cause it seems pretty weighted from a slot of people's views

I am going to throw a potential spanner in the works on this - please no hating me, but I do believe there's a bug attached with this perk that means killers who have vault in their power - so Wesker, Legion in Frenzy etc, are benefitting from it when they shouldn't be. So think of it working in a similar way to Bamboozle in that respect.
This should not be considered a bug and be intended this actually makes the perks useful and actually encourage build diversity if you want us to go back to stacking 4 slows we can

They don't want to watch a Mori but want us to watch them teabag at the gate make it make sense

Survivor shouldn't be made easier
It should be made less frustrating and that's what I think the whole point of a lot of these changes are. Abandon is there to quickly get out of losing games/curb bleedout matches.
Anti-camp isn't there to stop Killers from controlling unhooks and playing smart, it's there to actually punish facecamping itself which, again is a very frustrating thing to be on the end of.
Then explain why majority of survivors want proxy camping gone as well they don't want it to be less frustrating they want it to be easier

I don’t think it makes sense to let the killer abandon the match during the EGC, especially since there’s no bot replacement like when a survivor disconnects. If a killer leaves, the match ends instantly for everyone. No warning, no chance to react. That would feel jarring and unfair, especially for survivors who might be mid-action cleansing a totem, opening a chest, or healing an injured teammate for end game heal points. There’s even challenges to be the last one out of 4 of a gate, and that would completely bypass those.
There’s a big difference between shortening the EGC timer and completely bypassing it.
As for the claim that survivors would just stand outside the gate to avoid speeding up the collapse, that’s kind of the point. The inside of the exit gate is significantly safer. Standing outside leaves you vulnerable to a hit, a grab, or a down. The reason people heal, take body blocks, and T-bag inside the gate is because it’s mostly risk-free. That’s exactly why it’s frustrating for killers to deal with. If the EGC timer accelerated based on how many survivors were inside the gate, it would reduce the safety of it and force teams to commit to an escape or take risks by staying outside it. It doesn’t remove strategic play, it just makes the decision-making more meaningful. Suddenly, that injured survivor doesn’t have the luxury of lingering in the gate while their teammates try a last-minute rescue. Survivors with flashlights can’t hide behind the pillar for a save. Injured survivors can’t heal on the inside without some kind of consequence. It raises the stakes.
All in all, I think making the gate less safe by tying it to a faster collapse is a better way to encourage faster escapes than giving the killer an instant match-ending button.
Killer bot that solves your match ending instantly issue

Can't even use your power half the time cause sleep immunity last so long

I do still stand by the idea than any abandon should result in a loss, regardlesss of wich role uses it. When it comes to giving the option of allowing killers to abanond after the doors are open, that could cut a game rather short. If someone is on a hook, and someone on the team opens the gate, then does that mean the killer would abandon and the person on hook would automatically die? I don't feel this is balanced.
I wouldn't be opposed to the EGC decreasing with every survivor within the exit gate, however. If two are there, it collapses twice as fast, three - three times as fast, and four - four times as fast.This is if everyone survivor is NOT hooked when egc activates and your idea would just get countered by standing outside of the gate if it's safe

Kaneki is nowhere near the only killer to get free hits with his power. He still can't down with it and his anti loop is extremely limited. There's no reason to nerf him, especially because he's not even that good
Doesn't matter if he's good or not if majority finds him unfun he will be changed simple.

I feel that as a controller player myself... it's always a shame when there is controller/PC divide...
However in the same breathe, one can't look at things like Nurse and say "yeah that's fine" just because controller can't make the same effective use of the power...
Kaneki's problem was he has all this high level skill expression that is terrifying on its own... then all this super easy stuff to fall back on for cheap hits as well when the Kaneki player isn't very good or having a rough game...
Gonna have to separate balancing at least aim wise for controllers

How is that a double edge sword? What’s the problem with that? Everyone is getting what they want.
Nobody likes going against twins thats why think about all the unfun killers are gonna get buffs and are gonna be more miserable to play against. After these changes and buffs people will be calling for nerfs

Because they just found the glitches a few days ago when Orela dropped. They could have been accidental, not abuse.
They also did not ban anyone for the Oni exploit with Iron Grasp years ago, or the Flashlight Locker exploit that existed for several days before flashlights got killswitched.
It seems the policy of the Devs on glitch based exploits is to assume good faith and that anyone using them before the killswitch was misguided, why be draconian when malice can be explained by mistake or not realizing there was any abuse going on? They acted downright quick this time actually. Again… quicker than the flashlight locker exploit.
Which is my point Devs will never ban and only Killswitch or try to fix as fast a possible least my 30 matches with nemi was fun

@hermitkermit said:
I personally feel that any time a player uses the abandon feature, it should result in a loss, not a draw. I’m not the biggest fan of how the system currently works in that regard, but I know the devs have acknowledged issues with it and are working on adjustments.
That said, if all survivors are slugged, I do think the option to abandon makes sense. This feature was introduced because some killers were deliberately bleeding out players as a form of punishment, and removing it entirely could bring that issue right back. Even adding a required wait time risks leaving players vulnerable to BM, like body-humping, without any way to exit the match. The devs have made it clear that respecting players time is a priority, and I think that’s the right direction.
As for the mori on a bot, I respectfully disagree as I honestly don’t see it as a real problem. You still get to use the mori, and you still get the kill, it’s not as if the bot is skipping the cinematic. Wanting to force a human to sit there and watch it feels like the flip side of survivors who wait at the gate just to T-bag. It’s performative. If the point is the kill and the cool cinematic, then the bot shouldn’t ruin that experience.
Then allow killer to abandon after the doors open we shouldn't be forced to wait 2 mins for survivors tbagging at the gate

Kaneki's who actually know what they're doing and bought the character more for his unique playstyle than his raw strength are still doing fine far as I can see.
The nerfs seem to have only really hit the players who used the cheesiest parts of his kit... y'know, the killers who bought and played him just cause he was very easy to play and very strong in so many scenarios you could just meander around brain in hand and get downs.
The players who are actually good with Kaneki and use his leaps with precision are still an absolute menace...
So I'm gonna say, yah probably.
Also rip controller players unable to play him

And that still doesn't make him deserving of a nerf. I don't like facing M1 killers. I massively prefer Nurse because I like her style of chase. Should we nerf every M1 killer and buff Nurse? NO.
Your comparing m1s to a power that nobody finds fun if there's enough vocal complaints he will be changed simple as that also saying you'd prefer a nurse is a wild tell

Hopefully not like Dracula or Vecna. I mean that in the sense of having multiple powers and being a master of none. I really hope it just means multiple new mechanics and now outright separate abilities that are weak.
Hate to break it to ya but it was confirmed to be the case

Please god no boomerang axe lmao. (it seems like his weapon will be a knife anyway!) I think there's tons of potential for the Power and so a "toolkit" power like Dracula makes sense, but a damaging ranged power is IMO incompatible with the license. Every other Killer archetype would be a better fit, at most it might be a nondamaging ranged ability like Pinhead.
With that said, I do like the idea of focusing on this "toolkit" philosophy, I can see how it allows the powers of these big licensed characters to be complex without making the complexity mandatory for new Killers trying it out for the license, and new Survivors going against it get a much more varied experience.
His main stance will be a knife but probably he'll be able to switch weapons aka powers to the boomerang axe 🪓 if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a boomerang axe

I am sorry but where on earth do you have these statistics from? Especially considering he was just nerfed again three days ago, and there is still a broken bug of him that also affects his perception?
I am really not convinced BHVR has to nerf all those areas to make more survivor players happy.
It's a fair assumption literally no survivor is liking the ghoul and even now is still hated and wanted by survivors to be nerfed more
-
@UndeddJester said:
It's early days, but I feel like he's less oppressive with this patch, he doesn't seem to get everything for free now.
You forcing him to break pallet is a heavy punishment now, and you can actually make another tile now with change. With thw reduced hinder on vaults, if he's a little slow/late latching on you at windows and pallets you can make it round TLs and shorter tiles... still a pain but not as oppressive as it was...
But to anyone saying he's like Legion and a low C/D tier killer, I'm trying to work out what Kaneki doesn't have that Wraith does that makes Wraith stronger than Kaneki...
- Greatest mobility in the game at 14m/s for the duration of leaps (max 1s) and 23m/s for the 0.8s of slide vs. Wraith's 6m/s cloaked movement for map mobility and objective control.
- Same movement difference can get ahead of survivors much faster and be cancelled to be much more effective at cutting off long tiles like the back of shack, body blocking windows and pallet vaults, with a shorter recovery (2s) than Wraiths uncloak time (3s).
- Hitscan injury meaning you only need to be a m1 killer for 1 health state vs. Wraith who has to successfully sneak up on survivors to get his injury.
- Has enraged vault that Wraith doesn't have at all.
Like genuinely what does Wraith have that Ghoul doesn't?
It's literally just predrop pallet with him now that's all survivors are doing to hold his power hostage
-
Revert losing power on pallet break instead nerf Grab Vault speed, Leap cancel cooldown to 5 seconds
-
@Roco45 said:
He'd be okay if they nerfed him a lot more, the Killer takes literal 0 skill to use and is overkited, still, despite the "nerfs". His power cancel needs a huge nerf.
I find Kaneki players getting 4ks when they literally don't even actually know how to play with the fundamentals. They all easily fall for mindgames, run around like a chicken with their head cut off, making all kinds of mistakes that would cost other Killers an entire gen, yet because of their mobility they easily are always right ontop of you or spreading mapwide pressure.
Here's the best example Survivors just don't like Kaneki landing next to you and with such a short cooldown increase his cancel cooldown to 5 seconds to give survivors a chance for actual counterplay
-
@UndeddJester said:
I wonder what happens if you leave… do you die?
Does the Entity killing you no longer happen cause the event has already passed by?
What happens if the killer grabs you out of locker?
Can they hook you?
What happens if you die after the EGC is over?
Is this the portal to the real world? Can we go beyond the veil?
It kills you if you leave the locker

It'd feel better if it required at least one stab to activate, similar to his add-on that makes survivors drop items after the first Frenzy stab.
Make it like Kaneki iri 3rd hit then you can break pallets

They definitely should rework iri button tho, this add on is super boring to play against, especially with the chase oriented legion changes recently
They definitely should the fact the you can just run this and break pallets instantly they say the counterplay is just spam vault the pallet but the average survivor ain't gonna know that or know your running iri button so your going to get guaranteed value from it
-
@AlreadyTracer said:
I've literally never had a problem against him even before the omeganerfs. He's Legion with added mobility and difficult techs to get sometimes alright anti-loop. The only thing that doesn't work is holding W, which was a terrible playstyle to begin with.
You should know Survivors don't like legion with his free hits his mending sim and just general unfun experience
-
@ad19970 said:
I don't know. Different people like different things. I could definitely see more people enjoying going against Ghoul now that he has been nerfed into a more balanced state.
I guess some people will never enjoy going against Ghoul because the killer is just not for them. But that's with every killer. I doubt that most survivor players want him to be nerfed into D tier though. Just up until the last update he was too oppressive.
Also in my experience his ability to vault is fairly balanced now ever since they nerfed the hindered effect. The only nerf I could still see happening is a slight increase in his cancel cooldown duration, but maybe that's not necessary.
Except it's like 90% of the survivor player base that hates ghoul they don't like his grab vaults, his grab attack nor his short cooldown when landing right next to them. Those are the areas they are gonna have to be forced to nerf more

Chucky was absolutely overtuned as well, though I do not think the last Scamper nerfs were needed.
Kaneki and Blight should have the Dash pallet break cooldown. I don't think anyone else needs it.
I guess they could give it to Nurse, but she ignores pallet so not really worth it imo
Wesker obviously needs it

Blight DOES lose his power. Like, when you break a pallet it goes on cooldown- part of why he is strong is it doesn't remove ALL of his tokens and starts the cooldown from how many he had. I'd argue between blight and kaneki that Blight deserves it more- but both technically deal with the same thing to different levels.
His token decrease isn't good enough it needs to be all his tokens to be more fair
