No maybe it's a console issue, or a low end computer issue.

I get 4k's easily every round with him lol, and I go against beefy 4 man swf's. Yesterday I was half falling asleep because I was awake for 36 hours, and still got 4k's with him. Just learn to play him. Or wait until I finish my guide to see how to play him properly.
How many hours you got in this game? Because I only have a little over 1000, and I play both sides evenly. so You probably know how to play jungle gyms, and shack better with M1.

Don't chase at shack then. You are literally playing him wrong. He excels in catching people off guard. That's what he's extremely good at.
Dude I usually don't, but some survivors will run to shack, or a jungle gym as soon as I get close. They know I won't follow them there at first. But at some point I have to chase them in there. And in red ranks a lot survivors do that to me at least. This dude is just so weak in jungle gyms, and shacks.

I dunno how how I get +2 pretty much every game with him then at rank 1, but then again I've actually put a lot time into learning him unlike a lot of people who say he is bad.
Even with all your learning, at a rank one. And I'm going to assume you are a killer main. You can still only get 2 kills. I guess I'm getting put with all the rank 1 and 2 survivors.

Had a match today where everyone would stick their head up everyone long L wall or shack’s ass the second spine chill alerted I was looking at their direction. Eventually I had to commit to a chase and they all knew exactly how many loops they needed with a 110 killer before dropping pallet.
i just played Huntress after.
Yep that is what all the high ranks do. They know all you have to do is got a shack, or jungle gym. And they can stall for minutes. It's crazy, since he is like huntress without hatches in those loops. It's only possible in red ranks to get 1 or 2 survivor out of the game if you are lucky.

@ChurchofPig said:
I'm not going to say it's easy to pip with Trickster in the red ranks, but he's not too bad to at least gain safety.
He is the weakest killer in the game. In red ranks he is unusable in most matches. Even with trapper you can play him in red ranks, and not lose as much as with this guy. Playing the trickster in a loop, is like playing a huntress without hatchets. He is 110, if a looper can avoid your knifes, you can expect to get looped for a couple of minutes. And with it's loss after loss in the red ranks. As zozzy said even de-ranking is hard, so I'm stuck in rank 4, since I keep using him. It's not even fun to see the same game style, getting looped in shack for infinity, or all you have to do in some cases is hold shift-w and run far away. He is usable in lower ranks, purple, and green, but for the most part in red ranks forget about it.
-
No most of the base is casual. it's quite the opposite in my opinion. The Sweats who take this game, or any other video game for that matter way to seriously. I would understand if people were making money, like tournaments. But 99.99% of us are not in tournaments.

@TrapperU said:
The issue is not on the survivor (player) but on the game structure. Yes you are allowed to do that, you have perks to do that and is logical to do that. But with that said, its just not fun when you are the killer and you hear 1-2 or even 3 gens finishing when you got one hook.
The problem here is that in your comment you are taking the comment of killers on gen rush as a problem towards you (the player) and not in the game mechanic. You cant do anything to prevent gen rush as a player in the game, but understanding the issue from the killer perspective and demanding that the Behaviour to give a fix into this issue should be a thing all players do.
When I see this kind of topic I allways see comments that say like "it's a killer issue" like if the killer have the tools to prevent 4 players to do gens, that is as ilogical as asking for a survivor to dont do gens, when you are the killer you start the game try to find 1 surv, chase him/her until you get the down, its not benefical for the killer to drop on that survivor to try to find another one because 1- that surv will start another gen and 2- you will take time to find another surv. So you keep chasing on that surv until you got him, an experienced survivor will hold the chase for long enough your team finish 1-2 gens (even against a rank 1 killer).
And there is the problem you see killers saying against "gen rush" its not a surv neither a killer issue its a game design flaw.
So what would you do to improve this so called game flaw?
-
As I said it once, survivor will always have the advantage due to having 4 players vs 1.

The twins are god tier compared to Trickster. I was one of the first people to say Twins is no where near as bad as people say. The Trickster? He is ass beyond belief. The buffs they gave him don't even make him more tolerable on Console, they would basically need to have two versions of this killer because he just cannot do well with that recoil....imagine if SMG's in an actual shooter played like this, the devs who worked on gun balance would be fired for giving the game PS2 style gun controls.
Recoil still bad on PC trust me, from a far distance. But yeah the Trickster is very underpowered the twins are decent. But I hate how a lot of twins user play her. They hit you and send Victor, and get you down, and some will slug for 1 or even 3 more downs. That is how a lot of twins I gone up against play. Which is boring for me.

Yea that's a lie lol. We all know this game is survivor sided. The only killers that make the game not survivor sided are god tier nurses, spirit, and blight. But the rest of the killers ..The match goes as the survivors go
Yes the game will always be survivor sided since it is four brains vs one brain. Even though at times does not feel like it. But that was not the point, killers control the matches overall. They control the gens, who can work on them, they control the doors the hooks. Survivors have to work to get out, killers control. Unless they start losing control, which is when they lose a game.

Can tunneling and camping be considered a thing?
I mean, killing is the killers only objective after all.
Same logic.
Hey killers can camp. I'm going to sit in the gen in the meantime. I guess yeah killers can choose to tunnel and camp. But Killers have control of the game overall. They can choose to control gens, to get people of gens. It's not up to the survivor. If there is no killer near gens people will gens.
-
@TheWarNung said:
Don't get me wrong, I encounter plenty of killers who don't get any downs/hooks and then complain about gen rushing because the match only lasts 5 min.
On the other hand, I occasionally go against teams with multiple BNPs on commodious toolboxes and Prove Thyselves. That's a gen rushing team. I once lost my first gen 19 seconds into the match. I timed it.
Yeah I had cases were survivors completed gens quickly. But can you blame them? They have to escape as quickly as possible, while killers have to get survivors down as quickly as possible. when survivors finish gens quick it's because I'm not forcing them off gens, or I focus on one person to much. My rules is if I can't get a survivor down within one minute, I will simply leave him and go find another survivor. So at the end of the day gen rushing cannot be a thing when that is their only mission.
-
@Jasix said:
Have fun with your 13k match then. 13k will not be enough to pip you in purple/red ranks so - have fun. You are also denying yourself a lot of the chances of extra BP from doing rift and daily challenges by just doing gens.
I mean it's really on the killer side to put pressure. Some killers only focus on one person and throw the game. And basically allow us to do gens. What can we do just stop doing gens and wait for the chase to end? I'm red rank actually, have a couple of friends who don't know to loop, but they are red ranks, and they mostly do gens.

'trying to secure on kill'... we are not talking about 4 gens popping before the first survivors down, scenarios.
we are talking 'hook survivors one by one after slugging' or 'go directly for the slug and let people bleed out, only patroling in case someone has unbreakable'
The latter I have seen in 5 matches against trickster already. Five.
I haven't seen this 5 times with bubba even.
This isn't 'trying to get at least one kill'
I don't blame trickster players, He is soo weak. That often people do what they have to do. I know what you mean. But I get that he is underpowered in a way no other killer is, so people will resort to what ever tactics necessary. But I could say the same thing about the twins. Since I hate how most twins users play, but at the same time I understand that is how she is played most effectively.
-
No it's an okay perk. It's not OP, it only last for 30 seconds, all you have to do is simply hide.

110 m1 killer with no mobility please explain how he is not?
This guy has got to be a low rank (Not you the guy who you are replaying to). He always claims he is "okay", yet right now in red ranks I keep getting obliterated. When I was in green and purple, sure I could get 3ks, and 4ks here and there. But as soon as I started playing vs people who had were humans, and figured out all you have to do is hold shift+w in a lot of maps my 3ks went down to 1 to 0 in most cases.

No. I'm talking about in my own personal matchs. I've seen some decent ones. In your scenario of the average player. It sounds like user error. Not killer error. That's like saying nurse is bad. Because the average player isn't good with her
It's universally agreed that the Trickster is weak, probably the weakest killer at this point in the game. Even a lot of the good ones say he is underpowered. I mean you could make the point statistically yes the nurse has the worse kill rate. But again it's universally agreed the nurse is the best killer.

I don't think he's near as bad as people make him out to be. Ive seen some decent ones
HMM are you talking about people like Dowsey, his name is something like that. That guy that got 200+ 4k streak with the twins. You talking about the top notch players? Because for the average user it is very difficult to play as him. I seen since released date, the good ones counted in my head at least 5. The ones that got clean wins, you know not the fault of my teammates just running into him. But overall from the wins I have gotten vs the Trickster has been at least a 85% ratio. Most of my matches are wins, or either the Trickster gets 1 kill. at this point when ever I got up against him I see it as a free win.

If survivors aren't doing anything to progress the match over a certain length of time it's classed as taking the game hostage in the rules and with video evidence is bannable.
What if they are looking for chest to see if they can find any keys? I mean what if one is hiding to avoid devour hope?

On Rancid Abbatoir, a Survivors glitched on top of one of the loops that have hay bales.
Refused to come down. Told me to "just DC you ######### loser."
So I waited. And waited. And waited. And eventually his Xbox overheated and shut down and I won.
So you left your computer on for 16 hours?

Hiding stops being a strategy somewhere around the 15-minutes-and-no-one-has-touched-a-gen mark and becomes holding the game hostage. It is against the rules. If the killer reports survivors who do that those survivors can be banned.
I mean the other day I vs a very stealthy team, and I could not, and did not find the last person, and it took about 20 minutes for the game to end. I never saw the last survivor in the whole game, they found a key and got out through hatch. But I can't get mad because that is a playstyle some people have.

I shouldn't have ever had a 16 hour game nor should @Beefmur have had his 80 minute Haddonfield game.
Proof? I doubt someone can hide for 16 hours. This sounds fake.

@Kirkylad said:
Maybe they could add a noise notification and show their aura for 3 seconds once every 60 seconds or so when they aren't either in chase or doing anything to progress the match.
Naw it's strategy to play "hide and seek". This is a horror game, hiding is a way to avoid the killer.
-
So apparently survivors have to be forced to get chased. I hate to break it to you guys, but hiding is a strategy. If there is two survivors maybe they are searching chest to see if they may find a key. Or they may not be good loopers, so they may play more sneaky. Maybe they are waiting for one other survivor to get find and get taken out. So they may find hatch. It's like survivors complaining about a killer who slugs if there is two, in order to find the last survivor to get a 100% 4k.

Does that speed buff goes away when he hits someone else or survivor frees them. That sound like real good qol passive even whit out extra trap that would give more freedom and power on loop or looking for traps
I'm thinking more of so he can get the trapped person. Someone get trapped 30 second speed boost. Would help him out big time. I don't think he is the worst killer. But he is the killer that a rework is way overdue in need of a rework.
-
Yeah Trapper is in need of a long awaited buff. Maybe give him a 30 second speed boost when survivor gets trapped. And give him the ability to have 2 traps without add-ons.
-
Yep I hate going against SWF. But there is literally nothing they could do about. I have friends who only play this game with other friends. They never touch the game solo. So I'm positive there is a lot of people who would not touch this ever again, if they could not play with their friends. And think a multiplayer game that did not allow friends, yeah some people would never play this again. When I play as killer, if I think it's SWF, I simply just find another lobby, that's what I do.
-
Even if you are 32 meters away you may be able to catch up after the 12 seconds are over. Anyway in endgame camping does not matter. You can camp, tunnel, and no one will care at that point.

It's been happening for 4 weeks and they don't use plunderer's to get the red keys either. It's a bug
Is plunder always needed to get rare items? How can you be sure they did not simply increase the spawn rate of rare items, in other words we don't know.
-
I don't think it's a so called "bug". Maybe they increased the spawn rate of other items.
-
She is strong as is. I don't understand why people say she is weak. If anyone is overdue for a buff, it's the trapper. Pig is okay she can win without buffs.

Twice is an understatement and ALL killers have to play well and harshly to beat good survivors, even if the survivors are mostly messing around.
Not really. Look if you get good with nurse, or someone like bubba. You can take out survivors before a gen gets complete. Even vs rank one survivors, with the trickster, good luck going up against rank 1 sweats. But I mean technically you can win with any character, but this guys requires more effort than every other killer. Every match against higher ranks is down right to then end of gens. While compared to other good killers people only get 2 and maybe 3 gens done. If the killer is good vs good survivors. But with this guy chases can last for at least a good minute, or even more if the survivor is good.
-
Yeah the in order to win, people have to play real sweaty. Basically you got put in twice the effort compared to someone like Huntress.
-

I mean.....when I had sub 100 hours? Sure.
You play any game for longer than that it's rare you get scared of anything lol.
I played this game for 1000+ hours and I still run spine chill in all my survivor builds. And to this day I still get scared of playing without spine chill. More towards the stealthy killers such as Myers, and wraith, and ghost face. I don't want to get jump scared.
-
@Seraphor said:
When I first stopped using Spine Chill? Yeah, I get it.
But Spine Chill is a crutch perk. It's useful for stealth killers, but besides that, it builds bad habits, and you don't learn to be aware of your surroundings.
After you stop running it for a while, you'll learn to pick safer spots and keep a better lookout.
Yep I don't look around unless I see my spine chill activate. Overall though the bonus it gives make the perk top tier for me. You are right in the sense you get overused to it. But I feel when I have spine chill, I have no care. I play more reckless. Since I already know if the killer is coming. It removes the element of fear for stealthy killers.

yes, in night specially i dont get single match where ranks arent even close to my. Really not single one, so i am asking myself if game dont have killers to make fair games why devs are not buffing them for make this role more actractive?
It's usually the opposite for me. At night I get placed vs low rank survivors If I'm killer, on the other hand if I'm survivor I get placed with other low ranks vs high rank killers. I usually find evening easier to play killer vs during the day.

Honestly other non twins killers should start slugging more. It's a great skill and sometimes just the right play to make.
It's kind of annoying to get slugged for a long time. I had it happened to me a lot (MHHHH Twins).
-
Which is why a lot of people don't like the twins lol. All of my friends hate going against her.
-
Yes PC does have recoil. But Only from a far away to medium distance does it really become noticeable. If the survivor is close, then the recoil is not noticeable.
-
Trickster 5 minutes of fame is over. They ain't even gave him 2 weeks of official release, to have his shine and fame. I just hope they fix his weakness before this new resident evil chapter is release.
-
@Swampoffering said:
SWF weakness is altruism farming.
So if you get matched against rushers, just search the weak link, tunnel and Camp him. When the rest of the team comes, punish them and try to snowball
Yeah but sometimes everyone in the team knows what they are doing. In those cases its a lost for the killer.
-
It's comical people keep comparing the trickster to old legion. All old legion had to do was hit you, and if he wanted to down you. It was a 99% percent chance that one would have been down. As he literally had no counter play, just stab and follow, and basically a 100% down. While with the trickster, if you know what you are doing, you can loop him in the shack for 2 to 3 gens. I done it, and I had it happened to me. And that could be the case with any killer, they can eventually get you, some quicker than others. As some other people say, a huntress can get you down quicker with 2 hits, much faster. I mean unless you are running in straight line, or trying to loop him in low loops, then he is very to counter. He is very to win against, as for me I usually escape 80 to 85 percent of my matches against him. I think people DC against him since when they encounter a good one, and they get down, they feel like it should be an easy win.
-
Yep weakest killer in the game currently.
-
Yeah if you are in mid to low rank, or purple. A bit of advice if the killer is not good, there is a 50/50 chance they could have NOED, based on what I seen.
-
It's a good start. But after playing a couple of matches as, and against him, it's pretty clear he is still the weakest killer in this game. His aiming improved. They tried to fix his core issue which is him taking too long in chases. Which is caused by his slow speed while aiming his knifes, it helped out but he is still very weak. Unless you are going against survivors who don't know what they are doing.
-
I don't like Hag, because of camping. I don't get why people dislike facing deathslinger.
-
Overall he is the weakest killer in the game at the moment, even with the buffs. He needs a rework in his design. He has the same speed as Huntress, and Deathslinger. But he does not have the ability to put the pressure that those two characters are able to put. As those character are able to injure a survive with one hit, thus placing pressure on the team. And he feels slower because the Trickster has to take his knifes out constantly, were as huntress will only take her knife out 5 times, and thus making him appear slower as he has to place out his knifes for longer periods of time. Which is the reason why he feels slower than huntress or slinger. But overall the problem is unless the survivor does not know what they are doing running in a straight line and looping in short loops, it is vert difficult to injure people quick who know all you have to do in some maps is click shift+W. For example a good huntress can end a chase in less than 20 seconds, were as with the trickster it can take up to 40 seconds, to a minute to end a chase, since you have to a hit a person 16 times. I think maybe it should take 5 or 4 knifes to injure a survivor, and 8 knifes to take a survivor down. So you can have a sort of quick pressure placed on survivors. His main event should be an ability should be used when you need it such as Oni, and maybe it should be similar to huntress iridescent head were you throw one knife, and are able to down a full injured survivor. And maybe he does need to be a 4.6 killer, as he is slowed down longer than other killers, based on his ability.
