I've completed rifts 2, 3 and 4. And for 5 I've just lost the will. I'm rank 21 and my heart sinks at the prospect of getting to 70 lol. life is just too busy now.
The only cosmetic I like from this rift is the Nea outfit but I don't think I can justify buying the rift pass just for that because no way I'm completing it this time lol.

As survivor, when I'm in that position where a killer's got me snagged and bagged, yet decides to let me escape... I'll always leave whatever item I'm carrying on the ground as an offering if I can. This totally baffled me when I first noticed other people doing it as killer, but once I found out what it meant I loved the idea as a fun little custom that I immediately joined the club.
As killer, if I find out you have OoO, then you die first. Solo, SWF, I don't got time to sort that out. You die first and I will tunnel my way to camp Mori-My-Ass if that's what it takes.
As either... never trust a Steve. Okay, okay, that's just observation bias, but I been burned too many times to risk it.
It'd be cool if Killers had a shelf of 'offerings' left by Survivors for the killer in the manor you mentioned so they could go and view them in a sealed off out of game basement room
-
There's nothing more satisfying than loading up your blendette with Small Game, Spine Chill, Alert, Kindred and Urban Evasion and doing nothing but BONES the entire match only to find post match the killer had in fact used Noed and got zero use out of it
-
I swear by STBFL / Nurses Calling / Whispers / Tinker, I use it on all my killers.

A wasted perk slot that gives you 60 seconds of immunity is defenatly not a wasted perk slot. Though i like current DS better than old one as it saves people from getting down fast after unhook, the argument of "Oh JuSt dONt TuNnEl" is flawed in so many ways. Though again it's not fun to getting down relentlessly and i really think the perk is needed but it needs tweaks
DS does nothing if you don't tunnel. Rendering it a wasted perk slot.
Also PH is by design the best anti DS killer in the game as he completely bypasses it's entire mechanic.
-
@Breakable said:
Can't do anything? Have you tried not tunneling and going for another survivor?
DS is so easily counterable. All the killer needs to do is not tunnel. THAT'S IT . . . Do that and you've made every Survivor in match that brought DS waste a perk slot.

I’m a rank 9 killer on Xbox (pls don’t bully I’m trying to get a pc) with about 200 hours on the game and recently the matchmaking has gotten really bad with actually putting me against opponents of the same skill level as me. I played about six games today, and every single one was against a 4 stack of red rank survs, with a few purple ranks in there. It’s annoying to go into a game expecting a casual match only to be sent to Haddonfield and have a gen done in the first 20 seconds. Again, I’m only a rank 9 killer, so why doesn’t the game put me against green ranked survivors? I’m not a red ranked killer, so why do I have to deal with red ranked survivors who are leagues ahead of me in terms of skill?
Because high ranked Survivors exploit the SWF matchmaking system by grouping with at least 1 rank 20 which riggs the match so they get paired against a low ranked killer to the detriment of the health, well being and future of their -own- game all so they can get an easy match vs an inexperienced killer for a quick farm.
I mean it's not too bright I know with next to zero foresight but there you have it.
-
Post game chat is an absolute effort in futility. Your better off closing the lobby and joining a new match to grind more bp / shards.
-
I never SWF and these builds work pretty well solo:
- Spine Chill, Kindred, Alert and Self Care
- Spine Chill, Lithe, Quick'N'Quiet, Dance With Me

*cough*EternalCrusade*cough*
*Cough*DeathGarden*cough*

Can we get Sam Neal as the Killer from Event Horizon omg that would be totally off the frikin' chain.
I'm now 40, saw that movie when I was 17 and that movie still creeps the hell out of me because the science behind it stacks up and in all likely hood whatever it is that snuck through the dimensional rift most likely exists somewhere out there in the multiverse.
-
What are we losing from Nea? Just logged on and checked her outfits (because I almost never play her because I don't have a lot of Nea stuff) and found these awesome threads:

If you actually read the post where I said "P.S." I said that I'm a retired Nurse main
If I read every post from every topic on just the general discussion area on this forum I'd be here a while
-
Just had a really cool idea. I dunno how OP or balanceable this would be but I'd use it. It'd be a laugh and potentially very handy, though could backfire if the killer calls your bluff and goes to the right exit gate so it'd be potentially balanced because of that?
It'd be like Red Herring only for Exit Gates and it'd be called . . . I dunno,
"The Two Doors Riddle"
As soon as you touch any exit gate power switch a loud noise goes off at the other one alerting the killer to your attempt at opening the wrong gate.
- Tier 1 allows you to do it one time
- Tier 2 allows two times
- Tier 3 allows three times
And the quote would be something like:
"You find yourself in a strange place guarded by two guards. One of the guard always say truth while other always lies. You don't know the identity of the two. You can ask only one question to go out from there. What should you ask?"
-
Nurse is fine because /high_skill_ceiling.exe
Play her for a month non stop minimum and you might have an idea about what I'm talking about.
Probably will need a month or two on top of that tbh.

As long as you're not forcing other people to farm with you, it's OK.
Yeah I had a Dweight with Bond working with a Bubba who lead the killer to every Survivor chain dowing, mending and hooking each Survivor till we where all dead, the Bubba then let the Dweight go.
Forced farming is just a complete dick move.
-
Old Freddy was cool and had a significant skill ceiling.
New Freddy is too easy to get good with. Low skill ceiling.
-
@Zarr0ch said:
If your in the exit area, and all other survivors are there or have left. Why havent you? Why are you still there waiting for the killer?
To be completely honest, I think your annoyed at missing out on a t-bagging opportunity.
I wait at exit gate because I want to maximize the xp grind opportunity. The longer you stay in the match (up to 10 minutes) the more xp you get for shards.
-
The hedges need trimming. Not everything is about hooks and exit gates you know.

@ALostPuppy said:
You're aware you're still able to use your other senses to track survivors than just sight right? You can hear a survivor, provided sounds work, run away from you, or towards you, quite easily. And you'll be able to hear them breathe.
Theres also Lightborn.
-
Tinker + Ruin + Undying = must have for each and every sweatlord wanting an easy-mode button
-
Old Freddy was easy to learn, hard to master with a high skill ceiling at which point he became extremely powerful.
The way ALL killers should be.
-
Survivors genrush because they're greedy and have no foresight about the bp and shards they could get if they play the entire game, not just holding LMB
-
I just had a match where I could instantly M1 attack after releasing M2 trail. not sure what that's about.

I just want a 3rd blink on nurse that isnt complete dog ######### lmao. Kinda hard to believe that nurse has been nerfed for so long and they still have an achivement where you need to grab someone after chaining 3 or more blinks. Thats near impossible now
Got mine after nerf
XD

Ahh Licensed killers, they will never have "Good" cosmetics.
Like myers could have a super high quality mask

Like Leather Face in a business suit.

Freddies 80's sunglasses

-
best way to get all the masks is just to be your standard every day, run of the mill, dime a dozen, boringly predictable, face camping tunneling scrublord bubba
-
The only matches I ever come across where there is no face camping or tunneling are the matches that I play killer in.
The rest of matches are jam packed with face camping, tunneling sweatlord killers lol
-
^ not quite there yet . . . I'm sure I'm close though.

That's why everyone should run ds, let's punish these camping/slugging killers.
I like Survivors who run DS. It's a nice wasted perk slot.

Nerf spirit. Nurse is fine she needs no buffs and certainly no nerfs.

I'll upload full footage of it soon.
I've never tried that build. This one works best for me, if I change even one of these perks I almost feel naked on Nurse now lol:
I used to use Discordance but have replaced it with Tinker since the Discordance nerf and have found it to be far superior than Discordance ever was both pre and post nerf.
-
Had some pretty funny post match banter too:
-
Literally my first time doing the whole 'bubba basement' bit -
Not very satisfying or rewarding. Felt super cheesy with next to zero skill compared to basement trapper.
That's a Nea behind the second hook. Both where super surprised lol.
-
Zombie Pirate Captain Le Chuck:
I mean he even has a dead raven on his hat for decoration come on!
-
TIme in match is xp gained and shards earned. It's never wasted time (unless the match goes over 10 minutes as that's the cap for xp gain per match)

I’m curious to know how people feel when they get no kills in their matches? Do you rage? Do you blame yourself for it? Do you blame the survivors for being too good? Do you look back and see what you could of have done differently? Do you put on an ebony mori for your next match? Do you play a stronger killer next match? Personally when it happens I replay the same killer and think what I did wrong in the last match to help myself learn. What about you?
There are many ways to win as Killer.
My favourite way (which requires getting no kills) is when you've wrecked all of your Survivors in the match so badly that they know you may as well have killed them all even though you let them all go.
Shed the sweat and Killer becomes exponentially less stressful.
When I wasn't so enlightened I would just roll out Freddy and wreck face.
-
Took me a good 30 matches to get this task done. even with 8k in devious every match on trapper I'd only get a couple of hundred at a time
-
Same thing I run on all my Killers.
STBFL + Nurses Calling + Tinker + Whispers <3
I don't know if it's any kind of 'meta' but it works for me lol
-
Well seeing as the console system has a built in auto aimbot assist and PC doesn't there is a clear skill difference.
-
Well I tried this build . . . I got 3k, downed the 4th and gave them the hatch because it felt really cheap. Does the job I guess but it didn't feel as fun as my usual Stbfl + Nurses Calling + Tinker + Whispers. Having sacrificed Whispers and Nurses Calling I felt quite blind as to where Survivors where and couldnt get my usual jump scares in nearly as often.

@Raccoon said:
I farmed it - Challenges like this are trash because the condition to complete it is outside your control.
A lot of Survivor tasks are out of your control. The good thing about Killer tasks is you can almost always guarantee that if you 'play nice' with the Survivors, showing your willing to let them go, they'll work with you and let you farm the task.
The same can almost never be said for Survivor tasks.
-
Trust me you don't want a meg legion mask. It just makes you look like a douche.
Exclusively because every meg that has ever had one in the history of dbd without question 100% of the time is absolutely maximum douche material.
-
I've become so attached to Stbfl + Nurses Calling + Tinker + Whispers I couldn't imagine replacing any of them with Surge and Ruin. I'll give it a go but I'm not saying I'll like it lol.
I'll probably replace Stbfl and Nurses as Tinker.
Though I will miss those surprise blink downs on mending survivors lol
-
So Surge + Ruin + Undying = Profit?

He’ll make the world taste good.
Willy Wonka is totally the next killer
-
One thing that happens on a regular basis (which doesn't appear to be the case in this example?) is that Red ranked Survivors abuse a game breaking problem with swf which allowes them to be paired against brown ranks. They do this by simply grouping with those ranked lower than themselves.
New killers are then exposed to unfair matchmaking and the unsavoury activity of red ranks to the detriment of the health, well being and future of the game.
-
I'd imagine it would be because typing on a controller would take too long and the person on the other end could not articulate what they want to convey within a timely manor?

did the nurse thing also get discounted thought it was just the new skins?
I don't know as I bought it the instant I saw it lol. All good though as it means I have more shards for the other skins.
