Those who mentioned the SWF percentages are using the statistics the Devs gave when the community asked for them. On PS4 solo que makes up just under 60% of the survivor base while 4 man SWF make up 2-3%, 3 man SWF make up approx 9% while 2 man SWF make up 28-29%. Hence why you might be running against SWF less then you might think you are.

I myself play on PS4 and am a Survivor main(for now) and play Solo Que and I will admit when I started I saw and got more "toxic" things from the survivor side; enough so I made my messages private. I will also say IME most killers proxy camp no matter how far I bring them away from the Gens(IME most Killers refuse to give up the chase even if it's detrimental to their game) and one of two things happen. EIther I get a good group who knock out 3-4 gens while the killer chases me or 1 or less Gens get done and two Survivors farm me more or less. Unfortunately for me running a Killer like that makes them likely to tunnel me despite the fact that I don't use flashlights, DS or Borrowed time.

I can feel a Killers side though even though I don't play as one often. Even a two man SWF if they're good can turn around a game on even a good Killer. And perhaps it does take more skill to be a Killer but Killers also don't have to worry about derpy partners. I have been in matches where I can't even finish a Gen before all three of my team is down. Someone goes down quick and two other Survivors are right there circling the hook. Then I listen to an opera of screams as my team manages to get themselves slugged or hooked in seconds. Or as I said above, I run a killer and get utterly tunneled or farmed to death.

That's not my only experience of course. I do get good or even great teams sometimes but then I'll get a string of bad teams and there goes all my Pips. I've learned though to let it roll off my back most of the time. Even times where I get Facecamped and the killer just whacks me till the Entity takes me. I never message except to tell the Killer GG and maybe to point out a funny thing I or another Survivor did that got us killed that made me Lol or facepalm if I was the dope in the instance.

TL;DR: It's best IMHO to try to remember it's a game and even if things seem unfair try to rise to the challenge and then you can feel even prouder of your accomplishments because with everything against you, you still perservered and became a better player and possibly a better person. You can still complain of course and be frustrated but for your own sake try not to let it take you to a dark place.

I took a nice lil break. Just started playing again over the weekend. Wanted to try deathslinger. Not much has changed, but I've learned to not take this game so serious anymore, and when it starts to frustrate me, or I get stuck on a ######### map with a toxic SWF team, I just quit. No point in letting them get to me, and the ban is gone the next day anyway, so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I do like running Noed on deathslinger tho. Nothing is more satisfying then harpooning a butt dancer at the exit gates and getting the insta-down and kill. Lmao. This game is what it is man, and us killers just gotta deal with it. Happy hunting ghosts and ghouls

  • Exactly, but they don't understand that..

  • If you purchased it, you should be able to go over to your library and click on all games, and it should be there. Click it, and re-download. If you got it free from ps+ and your account isn't active, then you can't play it until you re-activate it.

I don;t understand getting pissed about teabagging at the door. If the gates are open and I don't have a hooked person or a chase, I sit in the corner and wait for them to leave. just dont give them the satisfaction

Or do that. I've done that as a killer many times if I see they opened the door and they arent leaving yet.

I see people get offended super easily after this thread, thanks guys πŸ˜‚

Thats the reason I started using deathslinger as one of my mains w noed. Pop around the corner and quick scope them right in the arse while there butt dancing. Funny as hell, very rewarding, and they get SUPER PISSED!

  • I think you meant buff, because he's some donkey Doo right now. He has nothing for map pressure, harpoon shot is iffy, he walks slower, can't down you with his power, and can be looped very easily. He's gonna become the king of getting gen rushed...

  • Quit running together in groups, and that wouldn't happen. IF has only a certain distance its good for....

  • @BigBubs said:

    No.

Why? Because it'll take away a free dead hard? It takes zero skill and takes advantage of a sensitivity issue that behavior refuses to even address, let alone fix. I play both sides, and 360ing a killer almost works BETTER then DH on console. That's sad, and a CLEAR advantage. It doesn't work that way on PC, so why should console players be stuck with this BS?

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Learn to counter them and stop complaining.

Take a step back and they'll 360 into you.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I've found that I will usually miss on my first two or three swings from 360 survivors until I figure out which are doing it. Once you know who is gonna 360 you, it's much easier to swing with the 360 (for example, if I know they 360 turning right, I swing right of them when I go to swing; they 360 themselves into a hit).

I will also stop lunge hitting them because it's much harder to lunge hit a 360er. Sure, it takes another 2 seconds for me to catch up but that's better than another 30 sec chase because I swung and missed.

NOTE: I'm on Xbox, not PS4 but I assume the drawbacks of the controller are the same on both console systems

Thats why i 360 to left and to right.

But yea if i play as a killer i try to not lunge because its much easier to hit.

Yeah, I pretty much learned to never lunge unless there going for a vault or pallet. It's just ridiculous the difference it makes. It doesn't work like that on PC.

  • Every killer that's came out after legion has been nerfed after the ptb. There afraid to release an actual viable killer. Spirit slipped through the cracks, but she's slowly getting nerfed more and more too. I'm sure Billy, GF, and Freddy will receive nerfs/reworks to there base kits soon too because survivors aren't having fun against those killers. Killers are suppose to be OP and have the power role, but yet it damn sure seems it's the other way...

  • Because to me tbagging and click click is like a lil kid going "nanananaaa, you can't get me". It makes me want to end them as quickly, and as toxic as possible. That's just me though....

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1165494#Comment_1165494

You know what the difference is here? Tension, hope and the fact that it's easy enough to swing the game back in your favour when perks like NoED exist because you can't apply pressure.

Gen-rush sucks, but in this scenario the survivors did kinda earn their lives more than the killer did a kill. You can get zero kills, and still get Brutal or even Relentless results if you play right.

What's fair for one side has to be fair for the other. When people start realizing that, this game will become a lot better, and less toxic. Survs wanna gen rush, all bring tool boxes and keys, and burn ######### map offerings. That's when killers start slugging, camping, and bringing mori's. Killers are trying to have fun and enjoy the game too, and with the surv meta now, you have no choice but to play toxic as killer just to keep up and compete.

I don't knock killers choices. BUT. As a fellow killer. (Depending on the survivor skills, use your discretion). You may find more success by hooking them and walking away, assuming it's not their death hook.

This increases the chance of someone saving them because you aren't there waiting, lets you go break some pallets or regress some gens. And if they do unhook, you get the notification and you KNOW the area they are BOTH in.

I find more success, rank, and bloodpoints in NOT camping one of the last two. If it's death hook, you can slug and walk away and do the same thing. Just pay attention to the health state indicator to see when they get healed. Come glance at em time to time so you don't lose em.

That's what I have success with. Try it out if you like!

Doesn't work when they have BT, DS, DH, and Sprint burst. You will lose everytime unless your playing potatoes.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Or maybe killers as a whole can just hook the survivor, and if they die hunt the hatch. If you've dominated THAT FAR, then having one be lucky enough to find hatch can't hurt that much. Unless you rely on instant-downs, then too bad.

Same could be said on survivor side. You gen rush and knock out all the gens, killer hasn't even gotten a kill. Do one of you volunteer to stay behind and let the killer kill you? Didn't think so...

  • Umm, there already is... You get penalized for camping and lose points...

  • It's called bait. If there's only 2 left, of course I'm gonna slug him and wait, or hook him and camp. The chances of me finding you are slim to none. The chances of you getting the save and both escaping if I go searching for you are very high. Take the win and escape, or suffer the consequences for trying to save the BAIT.

  • I would like them to add an option to base kit after a surv has been hooked twice, you down them and pick them up, still gives them a chance for DS, but it also gives you the choice to mori them when within 8m of a hook if you drop them. Would count as the third hook also. I think this is pretty fair.

  • Well, that's just good stuff right there . Talk about karma biting you in the ass... Lmao

    πŸ˜‚

  • SWFs ruins the balance of this game because it gives them the strongest perk in the game, and it doesn't even cost them a slot, nor do they have to earn it, and that's communicating through comms. Being able to rely where the killer is, what he's doing, where gens are, what % there at, totem locations, safe heal spots, god windows/loops, etc. This can make a bad player actually good because of all the information being relayed. Until this is fixed, or properly balanced around, it will ALWAYS be the main problem.

  • They either need to add more perks to the blood web, or lower the cost. The grind is insane, and you can't even get what you want. It's COMPLETELY random. I've got deathslinger at 42 and still got ######### perks... Don't have monitor, pwyf, nemesis, surv, discord, ruin, pop, or DL. I am beginning to think they just give you ######### perks now. I've never had such ######### for perks leveling a killer man... My current load out is BBQ, shadowborn, sloppy, and thana. That's about the best I can do... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  • Okay, then me slugging you and watching your ass bleed out or hook camping you after doing that stuff to me isn't toxic then either....

  • @toxcitynacl said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1163666#Comment_1163666

Because you are a killer and that is sorta what I have to do. Actually I never blind killers as I have never tried to learn to do flashlights well...but if I could I would. But drop pallets on you and break your hooks...oh yeah...for sure I'll be doing that. Had sabo and a killer (the deathslinger) was carrying the survivor and broke the hook right in front of his face...it was in a word...priceless.

Annnnnd thats why killers bring mori's, and then you end up on here making a fit about how unfair mori's are, and how they need to be nerfed. It's a lose lose situation anymore.

  • Why? So the game can be even EASIER for you? Chat is what's BS anyway. I'm sorry, but being able to relay every single step the killer makes, where or what gens are almost done, totem spawns, etc, etc to your teammate allll the way across the friggin map without the killer hearing it is HORSE #########! I wish they could disable chat PERIOD and make them play on actual SKILL.

  • Get a safety helmet, strap yourself in, and make sure you got lots of beer, because it's a salty, toxic sweat fest... Good luck.

  • Cmon man, we know the formula by now dude. If it's useful and benefits the killer, it's gotta be nerfed. OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

  • And some survivors don't need tool boxes but... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I think that there aren't enough players to support a second game mode. Unfortunately. 8 v 2 would be fun also.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1163610#Comment_1163610

I get build variety is a thing but a good portion of people use the same perks over and over anyway. Letting 1 person have 1 perk opens the doors for creative perk builds as you are forced to use up to 16 different perks on a full swf

There's at least a good 25,000 still playing. that's plenty. Enable cross platform, wait time will never be an issue again...

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1163640#Comment_1163640

Two killers tunneling the same person. A good way to lose, but I imagine it'll be a day 1 problem.

Okay, then that means 5 survs doing gens then... What's the problem? 6 adrenaline, 6 DS, at least 2 keys, prolly at least 3-4 flashlights, and all the hook sabo too.

  • Yeah, all they seem to do is cater to survivor. The game has to be enjoyable and fun... for them. Who gives a ######### about the killer enjoying the game and having fun though right? And why do people gotta always be so damn toxic? I've been playing matches a deathslinger, Barley got ######### for decent perks, can't move fast, can't insta-down you, have ######### for nap pressure, yet you play me like I'm spirit or Billy. Burn the most toxic map offerings (farm, autohaven, haddonfield)Drop every pallet on me, tbag me, blind me, break my hooks, and gen rush like theres no tomorrow. Why???

  • They need to just implement a new game mode for swf's. 6 survs, 2 killers to balance it out. That way the killer gets someone to talk and coordinate with also. It's just too damn hard to keep up with 4 swf's all on coms, and that's what ps4 is anymore. 90% of the survs is at least 3 swf's. Then, they use map offerings for the cheesiest levels like farm, auto haven, Haddonfield, etc..

Killers get gens and hooks shown to them. Survivors really get nothing, that's all i'm trying to say. This was just an idea.

That's the point? Would kinda defeat the purpose if you always knew where every gen was. And people think gens go fast already. Imagine what this would do.

  • So, in other words, you wanna not make it activate until the gates OPEN letting you just instantly run out, Then you also want the killer to lose there speed boost too? Yeah, that's not survivor sided... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  • He's some donkey ass on ps4. His shots don't even hit when you have them dead in the sights, and he's more easily looped than Bubba and Billy put together. If you get a big map, get ready to get royally ######### repeatedly. He needs either a buff to his base speed, or insta-down harpoons when there injured. Quit dangling something good in front of are faces, then giving us a shell. Give us another good killer like freddy, gf, Billy, spirit, etc. Quit giving us a bunch of legions man...

  • The only real ones are Noed and Devour, but there hex's, and can be disabled. Wouldn't it be cool if you could disable DS or Adren? Guess that wouldn't be fair though, now would it... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  • Because they care about survivors having fun, no matter how stressful it is to the killer.

  • Kinda like how I was getting bullied and gen rushed, finally hook and kill one of the a-holes, and the other 3 escape through the hatch? It happens both ways man. You seem angry. Have a snickers.

  • Deathslinger is some πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©. He needs a serious buff to counter gen rushing. Either increase his movement speed, or let him down injured survivors with the harpoon shot. You have to waste way too much time just to down someone, then hook them. He has a chance on smaller maps, but big maps, stick a Pitchfork in him...

  • Ummm so just do the gens and leave? Isn't that your objective anyway? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  • Billy is intimidating because of his speed and insta-down ability, so it causes some to make mistakes that they normally wouldn't make against other killers. He can be looped and mind gamed pretty hard if you don't get intimidated and know what your doing.

  • Quitters gonna quit, no matter what. They'll always find a loophole...

  • I'd say spine chill is more OP than iron will. It sucks how they can see you before you ever see them, and know everytime you look in there direction. Not to mention it completely kills stealth killers. That's what needs to go on a damn cooldown...

  • Dude all they did was pull there foot off the killers head. There still drowning. You must be a potato because survivor is STILL dominating AF. Most on ps4 are swf's. What joy that is. Try playing killer, and not at tater ranks. I bet you'd change your tune real quick...

  • If there walking towards, it actually goes slower. If you walk backwards and reel, it's faster, so.... 😬

  • Why doesn't spine chill have a cooldown?

  • I think he just needs an add-on that makes his shot a insta-down once there injured.

  • Keep in mind, tru3 is a fog whisperer and probably in the top 10 best at this game. How many times do you see him die as survivor? Hardly ever. Yet, he still gets smoked sometimes when playing killer. KEEP in mind, how GOOD tru3 is, and HE can't even constantly 4k, and sometimes gets 0k... That shows you just how powerful the survivor role is alone, let alone a SWF team...

  • Yeah, they REALLY love us console players... πŸ˜‚
