The first dash definitely makes up for the 1,5 second charge time in my experience. The 1,5 second charge time is 100% needed however, because it does still make sure survivors have fair counterplay as well.
I am sure at some loops Demo is better than Wesker. But there are also loops I am sure Wesker is better than Demo, even if those loops are less.
But that's fine, because Wesker biggest power comes from countering holding w. That's where he is clearly stronger than Demogorgon. He can cover much more distance, and potentially even get a hit against a survivor from further distances. This also gives him slighty better zoning capabilities in general.
He also has better game delay, but Demo does have better map pressure.
I've yet to see a single loop where Wesker is better than Demogorgon. I haven't even seen Wesker get a single hit on a junk tile because of how long his charge time is.
I've asked this a couple of times and never got an answer: show me a loop where Wesker can get a hit and Demogorgon can't. Want to know why I've never got an answer? Because the answer is that there isn't a single tile Wesker is better than Demogorgon.
Wesker is an M1 Killer with some antiShiftW capabilities. How is that any good when he gets looped for Generators at a time?
His game delay is also non-existent because of how slow it is along with the fact that his infection depletes itself whenever a Survivor gets hooked.
Wesker has barely anything going for him. His inconsistent mobility is the single fact that keeps him out of D tier
-
I guess most people already P3-P9'd him and stopped playing.
I'm bad at saving up BPs so I'm still playing him
-
Next month, maybe
-
You have to wait for your Power to charge up, then you have to wait for the Survivor to vault, then you have to wait for your cooldown to end and then you have to wait for your Power to recharge.
Skill issue /s

The difference between Overcharge and old Ruin is that Overcharge is a single Skill-Check

Where would you put Wesker btw?
C. He's an M1 Killer with mobility, just like Sadako, who I'd also put in C tier
-
There's so much I disagree with, but I'll stick to the obvious: Demogorgon is A tier, right below Huntress

Alchemist Ring and Compound Thirty-Three need nerfs, but Blight's base-kit is fine

Both of these beg the question, why main Nemesis if his power is so bad that the only way to make use of it is to tunnel/camp? It also makes me wonder why BHVR thinks making killers whose powers fall at either extreme on the spectrum is a good idea.
Like, genuinely, who thought Nemesis' power was a good idea? Infection serves no purpose on Nemesis, and it's sad.
Nemesis was apparently "unfun" to play against when he only had to hit Survivors 2 times
-
Nemesis is a very time inefficient Killer with little-to-no 1v4 pressure

No, he can use his power at certain tiles. He's weak, but not as weak as y'all are saying. How is he M1? All he needs is a few qol changes to his power.
He's M1 because, realistically, he only gets M1's and uses his Power for mobility only. Just because his Power is "usable" against bad Survivors doesn't take away from the fact his Power is useless at tiles if the entire Survivor team doesn't share the same brain cell

Okay, let's take the Demogorgon comparison. He can definitely get you in straight areas like shack and 4-walls. It's just that it gets harder when it's a rock loop or something silly like that.
Harder, but not impossible, because of the quick charge time.
Wesker doesn't have that. He's an M1 Killer at basically every single tile in the game
-
They changed the formatting ever since Onryō's release
-
@danielmaster87 said:
How is it meh? What his power does is it forces you to 1) have to cure yourself or risk instadown, and 2) position yourself in loops awkwardly just to avoid his grab, reminiscent of how you'd play against Blight or Nurse.
position yourself in loops awkwardly just to avoid his grab, reminiscent of how you'd play against Blight or Nurse.
How do you have to "position yourself awkwardly"?
His Power is extremely easy to dodge because of the small hit-box. Even if it was bigger, his charge time is so slow, his Power is unusable at anything other than a 4 lane or T/L wall.
2 tiles M1 Killers can get hits on somewhat reliably

What can he do that demo can't?
Nothing. Nothing Wesker can do is something Demogorgon can't. Demogorgon just does it miles better
-
There is no reason for his existence. BHVR just wanted a quick buck
-
He's an M1 Killer with mobility.
Will he get any other changes other than bug fixes? Probably not

Still not as bad as release Twins

Huntress is A because she can do everything better than Demo. Longer range, smaller cool-down etc. She can hit behind walls and pallets while Demo can't.
Demo has only one thing better than Huntress, it is teleport. And his teleport ability depends on survivors, they can remove it.
Huntress is pretty solid killer and Demo is honestly weak. I would give some buffs to him.
Portals aren't in the Survivors control, not if you place them properly, that is.
Demogorgon also has the better Add-Ons of the 2, and their chases last basically the same amount of time if the Survivors are good. I'd even say Demogorgon has the better chase because he's 115% and has a shorter charge time compared to Huntress

So people are troll when you don't agree with them. Good to know.
I mean, when you're saying Huntress is A but Demogorgon isn't when they basically have extremely similar 1v1 capabilities, yes, I'd assume you were trolling
-
I'd nerf the Incapacitated Status Effect duration to 10-15 seconds and make it so it afflicts Survivors within 6 Meters of the Generator.
Makes it so it isn't better against SoloQ and weaker against SWF

Huntress? She is A-tier killer.
Dude i know Demo is your main but he is far from being A tier killer. He is pretty weak. His anti-loop is very countable and his teleport can be removed by survivors. Low B is good tier for Demo.
I'd ask some buffs for him.
Good to know you're trolling

Demo is also weak killer. It is weird you having bad time with Wesker cuz he is weak but you are enjoying with other weak killer.
Demogorgon isn't weak, he's on par with Huntress. Wesker is on par with Nemesis in terms of strength, which isn't good because they're both rotting in C tier
-
D tier Killers are apparently fine now

Well, calling someone "bad" at the game just because they disagree with you is surely a constructive argument, you definitely changed my mind and proved your point.

M1 killer who ignores the concept of distance with his long dashes, which don't require as much skill to use as Nurse's teleports.
Demogorgon can't dash as far and quick as Wesker.
Get good at looping. His Power is useless at loops. If you just loop him, him making distance on you is worthless. Even if you're bad at looping, his Power is extremely easy to dodge.
Demogorgon has a quicker charge time and Shred is faster than Virulent Bound. Please don't spread misinformation in your odyssey to nerf every imaginable Killer because you're bad
-
@Junylar said:
This killer is OP and basically P2W. It's like Nurse, but weaker and doesn't require skill. I stopped playing survivor completely after his release, I'll play killer until they do something about this nonsense.
How bad at Survivor can you be?
Wesker is an M1 Killer if you just dodge left or right while he's using his Bound. If you think Wesker is "op", then Demogorgon must be one of the best Killers in the game because Demogorgon is objectively a stronger Wesker
-
They're both bad but Wesker is stronger
-
Skill issue
-
And NOED kills all Survivors once the 5th Generator is finished if they don't cleanse all Totems on the Map. There are also now 15 Totems per Map

The issue is that your proposed wall splat instadown would be too easy to pull off with that combo, especially with a hitbox increase. Getting throws is very consistent with it.
Again, what's the problem with instadowns?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3163483#Comment_3163483
Yeah...the reason it shouldn't is the meme add-on + throw range add-on combo. Plus them usually dying after a throw anyway due to typically being thrown against the boundary wall with nowhere to go + the cooldown starting before they can even get up.
Where's the issue with that combo?
-
His throw is super underwhelming because it does nothing if the Survivors make a mistake, you get punished if the Survivors are bad.
His throw should injure 100% of the time and instadown on wall splats, there's no reason it shouldn't

T-L walls or Jungle Jyms for example. if not stronger, than at least just as strong.
Kind of any tile that Demogorgon is good at. Wesker, in most cases, is at least just as good as Demo at those tiles.
The idea in a lot of cases is to use his first dash to position yourself quickly, and then get the survivor with his second dash. That is very helpful if the survivor is at the backside of the T-wall for example. You just dash to one of the corners of the wall, and then dash along the wall with your second one. Very effective. His ability to position himself quickly with his first dash, and then get the survivor with his second dash is one of the parts that makes him pretty good.
It also can create some very interesting and fun mindgames.
This is kind of ignoring his buggy hitboxes though.
You can't "position yourself quickly" because of the 1.5 second charge time. The only way you get hits as Wesker on any tile that isn't a 4 lane or T/L wall is if the Survivors make mistakes, unlike Demogorgon which can force Survivors into lose/lose situations

At the same time I am a Wesker simp through and through. Tragically.

Shack maybe? Idk, I managed to bound through shack window and down a survivor before they could loop back around the window or pallet
Demogorgon's best tile is shack...

I don't think people are actually having fun with him. He's a weak, unoriginal mess. Kinda like that other RE Killer we got

because he was different in the PTB.
He wasn't. He had the same issues he has now. He just didn't slide on Survivors as much as he does now, which was still irrelevant because of how long it took to even charge his Bound.
It was, and still is, unusable at a majority of tiles, and only works in tiles an M1 Killer could've gotten a bit reliably
-

He's only really weak right now because they reduced his grab hitbox, as well as the myriad of other bugs that came on release with him. Buff his grab hitbox, and fix his horrendous bugs, and i'd say he's in a good spot. The max infection effects are pretty strong, 8% movement slowdown and being instadownable are very good, the problem is that you can't even get the instadown because of his small grab range.
If I had to give him a buff though, make his stacks recharge faster.
Please, please show me a single tile where Wesker's Virulent Bound is better than Demogorgon's Shred.
Please!? I've asked this so many times and I've never, ever got an actual answer. I'll cry of happiness if you manage to show me a single ######### tile
-
I've been saying this since the goddamn PTB, but no one listened and said he was "A tier" and that he was "A better Demogorgon"

Pretty sure they don't get hindered unless they are fully infected. Which I've rarely seen in many of the games I've played as Wesker. Not to mention hooking a survivor partially resets the infection timer.
Not to mention the cooldown after a throw or slam doesn't seem to be any better than the successful attack cooldown. Rarely feels like it's better to slam/throw a survivor than it is to just M1 them.
This isn't really a complaint, but survivors getting the speed boost after picking themselves up from being thrown looks so off.
The Green Herb Add-On somewhat alleviates the issue of full infection being rare.
I honestly think throwing a Survivor should injure on the floor and instadown on walls. Getting punished because the Survivors out-positioned (made a mistake) themselves is not good, nor is his 10 second cooldown on 2 baby Shreds, or his 1.5 charge time
-
@Crowman said:
Infection is pretty non-existent because it's reliant on actually hitting survivors with your power which is hard to do when the collision is so precise.
Not to mention it feels like there's just too many sprays for survivors to expend. It's really hard to keep more than 1 survivor infected at any given time even if you do manage to constant hit your power.
The slowdown from the infection is pretty strong. The amount of First Aid Sprays isn't an issue for me.
However, his Bound is useless. After playing him for a good amount of time, I've yet to do something Demogorgon wasn't able to.
Every single one of my Bounds that connected could've been a Shred, and I would've gotten them even quicker
-
The First Aid Sprays aren't the problem, almost everything about his Bounds are the problem
-
Survivors have voice lines?

@Gibberish said:
It's actually crazy how many problems they released him with.
Like, isnt the whole point of having a PTB to make sure new characters actually work when they come out.
The point of the PTB is to gain hype.
Almost nothing is fixed from the PTB, only game-breaking bugs, and even those are rarely fixed. Remember release day Twins and how 5 out of 6 Perks just didn't work at all? Yeah, this is that again but to a lesser extent
