  • Hillbilly getting any nerf is just some kind of poor attempt at comedy.

  • "We're nerfing medkits because there are good survivors who can use them which makes them REALLY strong. Everyone else who is not a 2k+ hour survivor pro be damned."

You do not need to play the game for 2k hours to know how to use a medkit properly. Medkits have always been the best item in the game.

  • I'm gonna second this. Being able to toggle the button would be a nice QoL addition for the game that people will definitely not complain over survivors getting a supposed advantage with it.

Yeah it is, the irony is not lost on me so I came here to cry to try and balance the crying, this forum is very killer biased. I play soloq so killers crying is a joke any decent killer can get a 2k+ vs soloq (the majority of dbd matches). What happens is bad killers cant beat soloq then cry, decent killers get 4ks constantly vs soloq, mmr rises they get swfs all the time, lose, cry.

They already nerfed COH several times as well. With basekit healing being 24 seconds you're going to get a lot of DCs especially with sloppy butcher, only the tryhard survivors will remain eventually and guess what killer cry lol.

PS If you still don't believe me that this forum is killer biased count the number of negative or contrarian responses I get to people agreeing or even somewhat receptive to me. Your reply and others from my OP was all killer biased replies.

"The forum is killer biased" they said while I'm in the middle of explaining why The Game isn't an overall killer sided map.

    Over several days.

  • I love that you use Freddy as an example.

As if he's good on ANY map.

But you're 100% right, survivors use The Game offerings more often than most maps because they enjoy losing.

if you guys are wondering why it's all caps it's because we are tired of asking

Please do not lump me in with this, thank you.

  • Look, can we please get back to the main point that is The Game is NOT a killer sided map AT ALL?

  • There's so many issues in the game that aren't "fair" that quite frankly this is at the bottom of my list of things that need to be addressed.

  • Not the issue.

  • Because Scratched Mirror Myers is a nightmare on this map.

How is Myers one of the killers you've never had problems with on this map?

Are we in different universes or something?

  • Well you're just assuming someone is playing in a specific way that most people hate anyways, so it's still kinda dumb.

And again, I lose most of my games and still face the Navy Seal SWF teams on a normal basis.

If MMR is actually working as intended, why do I have to deal with them constantly?

    It's been months!

  • Still happening! Had a team full of potatoes and the most frustrating part of the match was the three times I successfully did the checks and still failed.

  • "Who said anything about being scummy?"

"Stop camping and tunneling and you get some losses."

Also no. It doesn't. It never gets easier because the MMR is basically not real.

  • I'm sorry you can't counter Michael Myers.

  • @Gandor said:

Stop camping and tunneling and you get some losses. Your MMR will adjust and you will have easier games. I don't say easier wins. I will repeat myself. You will get easier games.

I love that people will say "stop being scummy" when someone brings up a legitimate problem.

    Especially MMR.

    And implying it does squat.

I lose most of my games and The Navy Seals still make a daily appearance, what's the excuse there?

A simple "sense" perk is what he is suggesting. When you are showed via killer instinct, the perk lights up. That's it. For "veteran" players, we know when killer instinct is showing us (legion frenzy, Nemi Syringe, Wesker Spray, etc.), but newer players don't.

I 100% think this is a good idea. All of us with thousands of hours playing and browsing the forums seem to easily forget about the new players. For reference, there are 228 perks in Dead by Daylight and 31 Killers with unique powers / addons. This is a lot to learn when joining the game, and a lot of times new players are left with the "how / why did that just happen?" It is easy for us to be condescending and say look it up, but that wont actually happen. All they will do is get frustrated and uninstall. Adding another perk like this will be trash for experienced players, but will help new players understand what the hell is going on.

TLDR: Without more people coming and playing DBD, the game will die out quicker. Any perks that help new players understand what's going on WITHOUT hurting the killer I'm always down for.

I do understand this, but I wish to counter with Horror games tend to have antagonists that can do things that, in other games, would be considered bullshit. I feel DBD should have some of that feeling of helplessness, furthered by the fact that you are playing against a big bad guy. Eventually people get past that part of it and learn what some of the "uncounterable" stuff is and how it works.

I do think more should be done for players trying the game out though.

Please do not comment if you aren't going to read the post. It specifically states two survivors left are an exception for that reason.

Oh. Ok. My mistake, your majesty.

You wanna read MY entire post then?

  • Well then the people are going to either sit there and get the killers attention to kill them faster or they're going to sabotage your game.

Not to mention purposefully dying on first hook is a valid strategy if you're only alive with one other person and there's more than a generator left.

I don't want to get punished because I'm trying to get the hatch to appear sooner.

  • Point stands. Outside of very specific killers, The Game is one of the worst maps to get stuck on to the point I kill the game if I see an offering for it.

  • The game should disconnect if someone can pick themselves up and give them a chance to do so.

Otherwise yeah literally no reason to not implement this.

  • Oh ok, that makes it feel much better knowing that I got every single pallet

as the survivors tea bag at the gates for 2 minutes over me getting no hooks because I'm too busy destroying pallets.

  • Yes, please rework Swamp.

Make it so I don't lose survivors because their scratch marks randomly disappear for no reason.

AND STOP SPAWNING THE HATCH IN THE CORNER OF THE MAP!

    SERIOUSLY!

  • What are you talking about, I destroyed 20 last night!

  • They did.

    They're called boons.

I'm not even being Ironic, a Dev actually complained over people complaining about CoH with "People wanted other objectives and now they're complaining that we gave it to them!".

    I ######### hate this game.

  • Every game should base themselves off of DRG.

I'm not expecting having to mine for a cosmetic, but surely something can be done for it.

  • I play killer because it's the only time survivors don't have rocks for brains.

  • @martinj97 said:

Inconsistent blocks at vaults, where a window is blocked for survivors but not the killer. Annoys me so much. A physical block is a physical block. Can't believe it's still a thing.

That's there so that the killer eventually catches you.

It was added because of ######### map design.

  • I can't believe there is someone looking at The Game, one of the maps survivors send me to more than anywhere else, and are saying "This map is too easy for killer".

    UNIRONICALLY!

  • The caps are there to discourage people from forcing the game into taking an hour and to encourage them to do all of their BP earning options.

I don't see a need for the change at all.

  • For being the only change DH needs, there is a LOT to read here...

  • I hate to burst your bubble, but we don't get that option either. Anyone that's doing it is adding it into the game through a third party.

I'm all for separate sensitivity though. Lord knows they like it enough that different killers have different sensitivity already, which is FRUSTRATING with a mouse.

  • I've said for years Bots should replace people that just DC. There's literally no reason the rest of the team needs to suffer because you were slightly inconvenienced today, and while the bots are not perfect, they're better than literally nothing.

  • wat?

    oh troll post nevermind then

  • Killer Instinct isn't that big of a deal. It doesn't give you the information that an Aura does, rarely lasts that long, and the ones that do last long have a tell on them (Legion specifically). Furthermore you can't trigger killer instinct unless you know you're triggering it (Nemesis Vaccine, Masterminds Healing Spray, Cenobite's Box, GhostFace Revealing mechanic) or there's some other tell to it (Executioner's Torment Trails, Skull Merchant Drones, Legion's Terror Radius, Victors refusal to shut the hell up).

I don't see why it needs to have anything against it, because you already have counters inherent to the mechanics.

  • I literally had no idea what this was, looked up clips, and I think I hate every character in it.

  • @BugReporterOnly said:

There was a post about this before. Not sure but please check for other posts and upvote them and add any information you might think is missing.

I literally used the search bar and it came up with nothing.

  • I'm sorry, what?

Are you actually insinuating that The Game doesn't have enough pallets to withstand a build specifically to counter pallets?

The Saw Map? Are we talking about the same thing?

Because I chased someone who threw down pallets if I was anywhere near him as Chainsaw Wraith and it not only took forever, I didn't even destroy HALF the pallets down there!

You've got the god window that goes from Top floor to Bottom floor, and the bottom floor is almost a literal maze.

Literally the only killers that are going to give you trouble on The Game and that you should expect when you see that puzzle piece are certain stealth killers and Nurse.

  • I have to agree, audio cues of injured survivors may be going a bit too far. I'm all for accessibility but I don't even trust myself to not abuse that.

I think we should focus on upping the FoV instead.

  • "Devs please fix the map. It's one of the most insufferable and impossible maps if killer brings it."

"insufferable and impossible maps if killer brings it."

    "if killer brings it."

Aight. Imma just head out now.

I can't belive I have to explain this, but it was never a comparison but a grotesque example of clinging to small situational benefits whilst having global and severe peoblems. The only one who made a comparison is you, probably to turn on SJW mode and distract from the gist of my message.

So stop using cheap demagogic trick to swerve attention from the point of comment!

    My brother in christ.

You are the one that made the comparison.

Whether you want to admit to it or not.

Pointing out you made a comparison is the same as saying the grass is green, or the sky is blue.

Saying I made a comparison before this post is at best an innocent mistake and is at worst a straight up lie.

Nobody is going to mutate a 3rd leg because you were camped at 5 gens by the scary chainsaw man!

  • Something something screw killers if they want a last stand, something something please not this again, something something it's a problem but this isn't the solution, something something.

  • @Nightram said:

We do have the sacrifical ward that destroys map offerings. It will be no problem. Plp do use offerings for maps all the time too. Not that much will be changed.

I don't mind this change. Think this would be good for dead by daylight

The problem is that you're not going to have enough wards for every time a map offering is used, And that's ignoring the fact that you use it whether it does anything or not.

Even if you combined offerings for the killers you're going to run out of your wards before everyone else ran out of each and every stack of their maps.

  • The problems I have are two fold.

If it's base kit, being able to do this when EGC can be activated is an issue since proxy camping can be a legitimate strategy at that point.

If it's a perk then I don't see anyone taking it for the sole reason that it's only useful in a very specific situation.

On top of what everyone else mentioned.

  • It is if I can't find you.

I literally had 15 minutes of my time wasted because the hatch spawned in the corner of the swamp.

I didn't know it could do that!

I never even found it, I had to disconnect because I was tired and had to eat an 8 hour timer over it.

And then the guy told me to kill myself.

We have fallen really far if we can't give up something situational for the sake and health of the whole game. That was the point. Please, try to read it from beginning.

It's not "bad time". It's literally uncounterable thing in the game that a) deny everyone from playing the game (holding M1, hanging on the hook and sniffing hanged survivor's crotch is not playing), b) completely unfun, detrimental for improvement (on both sides) and c) sparks so much anger and hatred which benefits to the game are questionable at best.

So yes, how far have we fallen?

I can't believe I have to explain this, but people being affected by their drinking water being polluted is not the same as "I don't like this thing in this video game".

    So stop making the comparison!

no.I play a lot this game.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3376003#Comment_3376003

if break line of sight. Michael leaves the stalk and moves to a position where the survivor can be seen (speed 4.6). then stalking again.

In my match, every other survivor gets 1 shot mement. Even if I don't meet Michael at all, other survivors will get 1 shot mement. And Evil III will never end. Judith's Tombstone and Fragrant Tuft of Hair add-on (+400) will also become Evil III with about 3 repaired generators. Stalking is unavoidable.Even +400 never fails to reach Evil III

Not only me, but all the other survivors I matched with are unable to prevent Michael from reaching Evil III, even with a break line of sight. I think all other players have much time to play.

stalking is too eazy. There is no way for survivors to avoid stalking and prevent Judith's Tombstone and Fragrant Tuft of Hair add-on (+400) Michael from reaching Evil III.

If you play the game a lot, then you don't know what you're talking about with Myers. Myers relies on not being seen, which at least partially requires survivors to be unable to see him. I know that sounds like I'm repeating myself, but if your teammates don't know what they're doing then that's on them.

    Go yell at them instead.

  • I feel like if The Twins was 2 players they may either be relatively well balanced or even overpowered.

I think it could be a good experiment.

  • @EvilSerje said:

Example: everyone (literally) compain about outdated factory that pollutes rivers and forests, and people suffocating from smog, but you are for keeping it because sometimes you may need a cheap plaster. And what means "to the Survivors". Aint you a survivor sometimes? Because that's very convenient to play only a fun role. But that is very selfish to think that 4 people should suffer because of one's entertainment. I think everyone could cope with losing some cheap cheesy tactics to the benefit of the game in general.

Be careful about that sorta thinking, just because it isnt a problem to you does not mean its fair to everyone.

It would be far more fair to remove cheap exploit so "everyone" wouldn't end up on high MMR where they don't belong (because they used an exploit) and get completely steamrolled by skilled survivors, what only give birth to more annoyance and anger.

In short, killers survived basekit BT, survivors survived nerfed DH, everyone could survive absence of facecamping (There would be crying from bad killers and the beginning, but when didn't that happen, right?), and it improve health of the game drastically.

Personally, playing a survivor is something like go naked through blackthorn thicket, everytime super frustrating and painful. You should try it for once to see other point of view. Playing killer is always fun, I get that. But we need other side too.

I'm sorry, are we comparing people complaining having a bad time in a video game to environmental pollution?

    Really?

Is that seriously how far we as a species have fallen?

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 12
