Wait... How does EGC favor the killer when it only starts when the survivors have won?
And how is Pop OP when it requires the killer to chase, hit a survivors twice, carry them to the hook, hook the survivor, then hunt down a generator that's been worked on, then decide whether to chase the survivor that was on it or Pop the gen? What more do want for it's reward? Hook two survivors and do all that all over again?
-
It's not easy to get great skill checks? You must be new.... You can max great and good skill checks every single game.
You must not have actually read the whole thing. These are much needed adjustments to help with genrush and SWF power.
-
Let me boil down your complaint.
"I played when survivors were super OP.
I left after a year till a week ago.
I have no idea what's gone on for the past three years so I'm goign to complain that after the three years I've been gone, the devs are STILL trying to make killers as strong as survivors."

Technician - Increases toolbox efficiency by 50% and increases repair speed by 1% for each other survivor repairing a generator.

That's fair, but cross play capability should be able to merge the player base together and allow a few game modes without hindering queue times. 😁
If they did that, people wouldn't have to buy the game and DLC's multiple times. So...

Multiple game modes necessarily impacts queue time.
Let me translate - "Multiple ways for people to enjoy our game is not as important as wait times."

I still have fun. Also you cant blame the survivors for using perks like DS or BT. Perks like these only get used that muvh because they get Tunneled, Camped that much. Also if you get Salty because of a TBag you shouldn play the game. Tbagging isnt always meant to be toxic. Even if its toxic its not a reason to camp or tunnel.
tbagging isn't meant to be toxic?!? XD
Yeah. It's totally not toxic when they stun you then tbag. Sit by the exit and tbag. tbag after an unhook. It's totally meant respectfully.
And those perks are used because they allow you to screw up and get away with it. You unsafely hook someone? BT. You want 60 seconds of immunity? DS. You want a free screw up during a chase? DH. All they do is let the game forgive you for making bad plays. Killers get no such perks.
Still. tbagging not toxic? That's just a hilarious statement.

I know that may sounds weird but in a real life scenario it might be ,,fair to camp" but its a game and games are meant to make fun. Also it may be the main objective to kill the survivors but its also their objective to chase them. Also if a killer camp and tunnel there can be times where survivors cant do anything against and thats not fair for me. Also i say this as a killer.
I'll consider this when survivors stop tea-bagging, stop using all the meta second chance perks that make their screw-ups a problem for the killer, can't bully with SWF, and stop being the power role.
None of this stuff is fun for the killer but it happens basically every game and no one cares that the killer isn't having fun. It's only a problem when survivors aren't having fun.

All you said is right and it may be a ,,legit strat" but for myself it is really boring to get camp or tunnel. I know its the Killer Goal to kill everyone but that doesnt mean the Killer cant play ,,fair". If i play Killer (Red ranks) I never camp and i always try to not tunnel. The game might be harder this way but its also way more fun for EVERYONE. I dont want to look in one of these ugly Dwight faces the whole time if i could have fun at chasing or so.
The killer playing to the best of his ability and as efficiently as possible IS playing fair. The survivors don't give free hits and hooks to the killer if the killer lets someone go. There's ZERO reciprocation to the killer playing in accordance with the survivor rule book.

What kind of games do you really want? a game that lasts more than 1 year or dies in a few months? Stop the murderers tunneling with 5 generators at once. It makes no sense this way of playing. the killer who goes for the weakest since the beginning of the match, it really makes no sense. A killer who doesn't let anyone play. It is disgusting and gives the game a bad name but it seems that you don't care. It is a multiplayer game, we all have the right to play and not die on the hook without doing anything. Seriously, this can't go on like this. This attitude kills the players. penalize players who do not let others play.
Let me just go point by point.
1: What kind of game do you really want? A game that lasts more than 1 year or one that dies in a few months?
Seeing as we're pushing the 4 year anniversary.... this one has already been answered.
2: It makes no sense for the killer to tunnel with five gens up.
As a killer, it makes complete sense to take out one survivor as quickly as possible to give yourself a better chance at winning. 3v1 is easier than 4v1.
3: It really makes no sense to go after the weakest player at the beginning of the match.
It makes perfect sense. Go after the weakest play still leaves the stronger players a man down, and gives you a better advantage because even the worst players can hold M1 on a generator.
4: A killer that doesn't let anyone play is disgusting and gives the game a bad name.
Killers can't stop people from playing unless the survivor DC's. A killer can only stop a player from continuing to play in any single match at a time by eliminating them. And since that is the goal of the killer, you're complaining that the killer is performing their role too well for your liking.
5. It is a multiplayer game, we all have the right to play and not die on the hook without doing anything.
You DO NOT have that right. If you think you do, you seriously need to educate yourself on what a right is. You have the CHANCE to try and play all the way through the match. When you choose survivor, you are acknowledging that you have at least a 50/50 chance of being killed. Only YOU can control whether or not you do anything in the match by the way you choose to counter the killer's attempts to sacrifice you. Again, not a RIGHT.
It is a multiplayer game, and the killer is a player whose goal IS NOT to let you play and do things. Their goal is to STOP YOU from doing things. You're literally complaining about the killer doing what they're supposed to do.
Come back when you've played a few hours worth of killer.

I'm relatively new to the community and have around 8 hours of play time at the time of writing this. I mainly play killer and I've been having some weird matches.
After I passed killer rank 18 it seems to keep throwing me in with higher levels. These players will wipe the floor with me to put it bluntly. I usually only get 1 kill at most. It seems to be happening every couple games now, and I'm just kinda confused.
Isn't the ranking system supposed to match people with the same rank? Is this just happening because there aren't many other people queuing in my area? Is it SWF groups that are messing with the matchmaking algorithm?
I'm interested to hear peoples thoughts and if they've had the opposite (being a high level match made against a low)
You don't have to worry about seeing how ######### up the matchmaking is. They're going to hide it so they don't have to fix it any more.

This response right here shows the blinders the Devs have about the game. This will be their similar response to the number of DC's you see now.
"DC's are down 95%! I don't know what game you're playing so few people DC now." Meanwhile first hook suicides are up 95%.

That's like saying "divorce rates are down" "So is the rate of marriage" lol
Either way these dc'ers won't be missed.
I mean, if you enjoy blissfully ignoring the point and making a comparison which doesn't correlate; sure.
People who would DC will just suicide on hook now. DC rates down. And that's all BHVR will ever care about and they'll completely ignore hook suicides.
-
They've just started suiciding themselves on hook now. BHVR will say "DC's are down by 95%" while neglecting to say that "Coincidentally, hook suicides are up 95%".

I had this happen today. A Meg was injured and we were the last two alive. We were on the game and I could hear her breathing above me. SO I go upstairs, and find her hiding at an exit gate.
I healed her up and started sneaking away. When I noticed she hadn't moved away or anything, I went back.
Sure enough, she was just crouch walking in the area at the gate.
So I dropped the pallet there and bounced back and forth over it. She saw what I was doing and sprinted away.... right into the killer. I got the hatch since she was dead on hook.
If you're going to do that, you may as well DC. You're useless and have given up on the game. Try the entire time or don't play.

Am I Right?
No. You're wrong.
You giving them money is optional. As is your choice to give in to your childish hissy fit when a game doesn't go your way or not.
Be a big kid and stay in the game even when you don't like what's happening, or go to time out. This is what growing up is all about. Making big kid decisions.
-
You're right, OP. DC bans have been a part of games since DCing became an issue. So why get rid of them because you're too sore of a loser to stay in the game when things don't go your way.
Your happiness is so much more important than the four other people in the game you would abandon.
Sounds to me like someone is habitual quitter andhas starting hitting the hours mark in the ban scaling.

Wraith.
He simply stands there, invisible, while everyone kills eachother and waits. When there's one very injured killer left.... *Bing bong* THWAK!

Jason.
Jason is killed by a chain pulling him into a combine in the last movie.
And the chapter is scheduled to go live on a week that ends in a Friday the 13th.

Fair enough. R6 tried an operation health. Where they did just that. Focus on bug fixes and balancing, and held off on new operators and maps.
It solved, SOME issues, but overall accomplished almost nothing. There were still bugs, multiple balance issues, etc, just as usual, except now with no new content.
The concept seems like a good idea, but it doesnt always just work out.
Then they failed at their task. DBD can afford to hold off on quarterly DLC chapters now that they have their battelpass which requires nothing on the part of the devs as far as balancing goes.

Because that totally worked for R6:Siege
If you're going to use an example; make sure the person you're using it on has A) played the game, and B) has even the vaguest idea of the situation behind the example.
I have neither.

I'd be happy if they stopped releasing for like 6-9 months and focused completely on core gameplay balance, map reworks, etc.

I feel like it would be easier to just say "Decisive strike will deactivate if another survivor is hooked" Still works as an anti-tunnel perk. Still has a long timer to ensure it works against tunneling, but you'll next to never have a situation where you didn't tunnel and still get DS'd for just running into them.
I'd prefer: "After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.
While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
Decisive Strike deactivates if another survivor is hooked, or if you begin to heal another survivor, work on a generator, search a chest, or hide in a locker."
This way, if you decide it's safe enough to start being productive again, you clearly no longer need DS. So it deactivates.
This turns it into an anti-tunnel perk that steals the no-brain immunity that it offers to survivors who will simply jump into a locker to try and waste the killer's time.

Since it might be a wall smashing character, I want it to be Jason. That's basically his signature thing is plowing through walls.

Yeah I'm not that good of a killer tbh, makes me wonder though how bad everyone else is that they cry that poor ruin ain't the same and now can't kill anyone
Ruin gave killers time in the early game to gain map pressure. Especially killers who don't have travel or teleport powers.
Early game pressure is extremely important, and the devs have literally design maps around the fact that ruin existed in its former state, allowing them to growlarger and alrger because ruin was a thing and could hold off even top level players for a few precious moments while the killer traversed the map.
Now that there isn't anything that does that as well, the game's balance has been completed destroyed. All it takes is a bit of logic to see how changing ruin without changing everything that was balanced around it can ruin the game.
-
Something that won't be too frustrating for new survivor players. That's who they're catering to now, after all.

That only happens if you are bad at downing survivors or if you don't run corrupt. I do both and more often than not I get two hooks before a gen gets done
But you said good killers don't need slowdown perks like Ruin or Corrupt. So you must not be a good killer if you need that...

I will do whatever I can to win. My job isn't to make the game fun for my opponents.

It is still not enough... Killers dodge for the dumbest reasons.... Here are some of the messages I got after I had been lobby dodge several times and I asked why:
"I ain't going against a Claudette"
"Keys are OP", "Dude, it was a green one and nobody else had an item..." "How would I know?"
"Prestige skins in my lobby mean trouble"
"A Dwelf is a tryhard"
"Davids are toxic"
"Ninja Nea is BS to go against"
"I don't go against more than 1 quentin in my lobbies"
"I hate how Nancy screams"
Should I go on...?
Please do. And while you do, remember than DH, DS, Unbreakable, BT, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Head On (which will hit from anywhere around the locked, not just head-on), unbalnaced maps/infinite all exist and are fine.
But gen slowdown perks need to have less synergy or the survivors will be frustrated. I'll lobby dodge for whatever reason I want. I'm not playing the game to be fristrated by the devs complete lack of care for balance in their games.

They sure as Fawuck are NOT trying; and if they are, all they deserve is a participation reward with their negligence on their own game
Every time someone buys an outfit or pays for their battlepass, they get their participation reward.
-
The only thing the devs will take away from this is "If the killers aren't having fun, then the survivors are. Keep doing what we're doing."
-
The answer is no. They've sugar coated the explanation but they've given up on matchmaking and are just hiding ranks now.
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35mGtmMGFVs&t=530s
All you have to do is read what they put out there and understand the basic gameplay elements that go into scoring to understand that it can't work. Tru3 uses this logic. So do I.
-
She looks like a hooker that was paid with crack who worked at a highway big truck gas station that was left for dead in a toilet stall.
-
This would be amazing. But it will never happen. The devs absilutely refuse to ACTUALLY fix the core issues of the base game they have now. Perks are their "fixes".
So there's no way they'd implement another game mode.
-
Camping isn't fun for the survivor? Do you know what's not fun for the killer?
DS - Immunity from the killer for at least 60 seconds)
DH - A reward for the survivor for being outplayed
Adrenaline - You didn't heal but someone finished the last gen? Free heal for you!
Sprint Burst - A free escape because you get to be faster than the killer and it wastes too much time to go catch you.
Unbreakable - Don't run DS? Fake it and get up for free! Or combo with DS get away from the killer one of two ways!
Borrowed Time - Because safe unhooking is already a thing, we need super safe braindead unhooking!
Head On - Because survivors don't already have enough ways to stun the killer.
DS combo'd into Borrowed Time combo'd into DH for safe brainless saves.
Dozens of killer stunning perks that can be combo'd into each other.
Flashlights (for stuns/blinds or the annoying click)
Toolboxes (because gen speeds aren't already fast enough they make them faster with speed ups, more charges, or brand new parts to have a gen 30% finished in three seconds from one survivor)
Med Kits - Because insta heals weren't good enough, now you can tank a chainsaw hit, or drop a pallet and hit your insta heal then run for a few seconds and reset the chase because you're fully healed again.
No early game pressure.
Dozens of no-brain safe pallets on every map.
Infinites.
Infinites with multiple safe pallets around them.
Infinites with multiple safe pallets around with with at least two TL/JunugleGyms/Cow trees/Combines to run to and back and forth in all linked together.
Maps so huge the devs literally tell you to just let survivors have far away gens so you have to play with a handicap.
Getting slowed down and survivors getting a burst of speed when you hit them.
99'ing gates to go get those braindead saves.
Survivors not leaving and just waiting to t-bag in the exit area.
So yeah. Let me know when camping, tunneling, and moris equals all the bs killers have to suffer through every game.
-
You can't nerf them now. With no perk to give you early game pressure, you need to be able to kill a survivor early to bring down the comp from 4 to 3, making it more manageable.
-
The devs NEVER intended to stop or alter the Ruin change. It was happening no matter the consequences. Same with this upcoming invisible MMR. Get used to being ignored.
-
The new ranking system sets everyone in the same ranks back to the same rank. People play against the people because very rank starts to rank up together.
Since the emblem system rewards playing according to how the Devs want you to play instead of rewarding you based on your skill in the role you chose, this is what you will see from now on.
