  • So today's three games in solo queue.

A slugging Myers, although with a decent team and builds that combatted it. 2 got out.

A game against a Blight where the first survivor hooked instantly killed themself on hook and the Blight proceeded to hump the last survivor on the ground for 4 minutes.

Getting hard tunnelled by an Unknown in dead zones.

So much fun this game is at present.

So tbagging, all running to corner and breaking hooks, baiting, taunting, flashlight clicking isnt bullying to you? Remember they use breakdown it takes ages for hooks to respawn.

It's normally easy to tell when you facing a full comms SWF or a full solo queue team very quickly into the game. When I face the sort of thing you have mentioned (which sounds like the Badham, basement at shack offering, which makes to No Mither, Flip Flop survivors in main building unhookable), and these sort of SWFs have occurred more often of late it feels, I go into all out, anything goes mode. No tactic is off the menu! Their altruism often is their weakness and I try and play off that.

Against a standard team, I always play chill and more often than not still get a 3k or more.

  • This is why solo queue is miserable. 4 man SWF's bring crazy stuff and destroy killer. Killer gets annoyed and next game goes full sweat against 4 uncoordinated random solo queue survivors. Survivors gets mad and stop playing, just start DC'ing or suicinding on hook from games in rage against anything at all they remotely don't like in the following games or join a SWF. Rinse and repeat. This is part of the reason solo queue is horrendous at the moment. It all adds up.

BHVR buff solo queue a touch. This in turn buffs SWF's by even more. The game can never be balanced with the amount of different perks, maps, items and add ons. It's probably worth looking into action debuffs for SWF's at this point because at the moment anymore general survivor nerfs or killer buffs are going to obliterate solo queue even more.

This would make squads who go out of their way to make the game miserable for killers even stronger.

I just had a match on swamp where they had 2 purple flashlights and 2 engineer boxes. Any time I downed someone they were there with breakout and sabo to knock out any hooks. If I downed and tried to chase off the sabo plays, it gave the downed survivor enough time to get in the open where it is impossible to avoid a flashlight save.

So I pushed the chases towards the boat where basement was and hooked someone in there and camped them to second stage, tunneled them off the hook to down them, and then downed her and then downed everyone else when they came for sabo plays and FL saves. They had each taken hits trying to secure a basement rescue. There was one hook on that corner of the map, which was instantly sabo’d when I downed the survivor I was tunneling. So I left them on the ground and two of them moved to the corner of the map to where even if there were other hooks nearby, I probably don’t make it.

I waited for the hook to respawn and hooked the main sabo guy there and left so I wouldn’t get a camp unhook. He tried to escape and died. The rest died slugged on the ground.

In your scenario these bums would pretty much be unbeatable or at best, extremely unfun to play against. They also played the hook offerings.

This is a big problem with this game. There are so many different perks, map, items and offerings now that make it impossible to balance solo queue without making even half decent SWF's even more powerful. All what you describe against these sort of teams are the only way you have half a chance to even sniff a victory in that situation.

I've had plenty of killer matches where pretty quickly you know you have to do this sort of thing to have any chance of staying in the game. Also you know pretty quickly that it is a weak random solo queue team and you don't need to do anything like this whatsoever to win. There somehow needs to be some sort of action debuff worked out on SWF's because they make balancing solo queue impossible and is probably part of the reason solo queue is so bad right now.

  • And the game that completely finishes me off playing survivor until this event ends. After an insane increase in slugging and crawling around on the ground today, last game of the night I get a full 4 minute bleed out after everyone else is dead.

It was against a Singularity. A bot was hooked (shock, someone dc'd as soon as they got a first hook), I got slugged out and he goes searching for the last survivor. They die quickly and he comes back to me and instead of just ending the game, then just walks off and wanders around the map until the full 4 minutes is up breaking downed pallets and spamming bio pods everywhere. What on earth is the point?

I'm going back onto The Witcher 3 and actually having some fun exploring the land and killing monsters because in solo queue there just isn't anything to be gained from playing DBD solo queue at the moment. The game has completely gone off a cliff quality wise the past two weeks or so.

  • I've been playing since the last quarter of 2021. I only play on my own and solo queue is by far the worst it's ever been. Instead of an unenjoyable match now and then, it's got to the point it's nearly every game.

Call of Brine, Eruption, Overcharge 3 gen meta was more enjoyable on the whole than solo queue survivor at the moment. If I'd have known then I'd be saying this 2 years later, but I'd have thought I'd have lost my mind!

I've always been a big critic of people killing themselves and therefore making the entire game a waste of time for everyone else, but it's getting to the stage where I get it. Which is another thing I never thought I'd say!

What has caused the game to get to this? Hard to say. Weaker survivors can no longer hide with distortion,? Maps are smaller and seem to have a lot of dead space? People's mentality has been split by playing 2v8 and more dual queues due to constant stream of events with questionable feeling MMR? The Mori the last survivor base kit change? I don't even know.

Solo queue in theory was made stronger by the HUD updates but it's never felt worse than it is now.

  • Unfortunately Unbreakable against someone that slugs from 5 gens isn't much use in solo queue. It prolongs the game sure but if they are intent on slugging that early and it's solo queue, it's a completely unenjoyable grind to get anywhere.

The thing is, slugging has been every game this evening for me. It's because a certain streamer is testing out slug builds and it's catching on fast today! Just finished against a Trickster slugging at 5 gens and it was a complete uncoordinated mess. A total waste of time without comms.

  • I got it easily with Built to Last, Streetwise and a Commodius Toolbox with the charge and speed add ons. Just keep recharging the toolbox and flying through a different gen.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/435229/survivor-is-no-longer-fun

Trust me, Killer isn't particular fun either. To summarize it. Dbd isn't fun anymore. And I think it's because too many people think it's a competitive tournament game, sweating like hell on every match and rubbing it into the opposite side's face. It's so toxic and boring lately

I'm hoping after this event finishes, things will settle down and return to normal. This event has been the worst time I can remember on DBD since I started playing in 2021. Matches are consistently awful, more than likely someone gives up within the first minute and it's a complete waste of time for both sides after that. This event has been shockingly bad.

  • Today just sums it up why it isn't fun at the moment. Playing against the most unfun killers to face, that just tunnel and camp hook. People instantly give up and the whole thing is an entire waste of time.

  • I came very close to getting the Left Behind achievement a long while back. It was just me left with 2 gens against a Nurse. I saw she was camping hatch so I 99'd one gen, went and finished one further away and got back to the 99'd gen. Popped that and she immediately closed the hatch and came towards the gen. Managed to get away without her finding me and had a gate at about 75% when she found me. Closest I got to it by a country mile and not got anywhere near it again since.

  • The ones I'm resigned to never getting are:

    • the Left Behind one (do the last gen and escape through gate as the last survivor)
    • Triple blink grab off a gen as Nurse (I'm bad at nurse and not even attempting it! )
    • Skilled Huntress (I'm on PS5 and you need 100 downs with hatchets from 24m or more instead of 20 on PC. I have 8 in over 3 years and that was during this event by snowball fighting survivors during this event and them letting me hit them from far away in the gates at the end!)

I do have a lot of the annoying ones though where I've got lucky. Did the 4 tombstone Myers one after about 5 attempts, The RPD one is long since done and did the eye of Vecna one the very first match against them on the release day. And the one genuine escape I've ever got on Forgotten Ruins, I did the dungeon generator.

  • During 2v8, which I had exhausted the fun out of after a day or two, I played through and completed The Last of Us remake, having originally only played it for a few hours on PS4.

Came back to DBD refreshed. The Christmas event though has been pretty tough. The match quality as survivor has been pretty dreadful overall, and I've been playing less and less as it's gone on. The last few days I've barely touched DBD apart from a bit of killer.

Downloaded the PS5 enhanced The Witcher 3. I really couldn't get into it when it first came out but now I'm hooked! Having a lot of fun exploring and have so many quests and missions to complete. So much stuff to do! A masterpiece of the open world type of game.

Once the Christmas event is over, I'll be back to playing DBD a lot again I'm sure but at the moment, this event feels like a chore to play, and normal mode during events is off the charts sweat fest.

  • It's honestly painful playing this at times. Good games this morning, jump on this evening and it's suicide on hook simulator. Doesn't matter if you have 3 gens about to pop. Survivor, gets hooked after a decent chase? Suicide.

The killer has 3 hooks in total, 2 gens left, survivor gets hooked. Suicide.

It's every game this evening. Why do these idiots even bother playing at this point? It's not even against Blights, Billy or Nurses. The killers don't make a difference. It's just pathetic.

Yeah, I've never had queue issues before so it was a bit odd. Funnily enough though, every game I actually had team mates who were perfectly matched to me. My games felt great. If the devs weren't on break I'd honestly have thought they were playing around with matchmaking. The games felt good so the queue time wasn't a huge issue for me.

It does feel like that today. Had decent Solo Queue team mates and escaped all 5. They were against a Death Slinger, 2 Trappers, Ghost Face and a Dracula but all the killers were decent players, a couple were tunnelling but we still got 3 or more out.

It felt the same one day in the week. If it wasn't for the other surrounding days that were killer stomps non stop I'd think MMR had been changed. Probably just lucky though and will get every comp wannabe Blight and Billy again next time I play!

  • What makes you say it's OP? Have people used it against you when playing as killer or have you or your team had lots of success using it? I'm genuinely interested.

My experience is people using it get killed every quickly and it's soon 3 people to do 4 remaining gens or something similar. I don't remember anyone using it at the start in one of my solo queue games and the result being anything less than a 3K. That's why I came to the conclusion it's best use was late in a game to get the last gen over the line.

  • Played 5 survivor games this morning (somehow with all 5 escapes!) and 4 of them were at least 3 minute queue and 1 was instant.

Two of the games were against the same Trapper and had the same survivor 3 games running, and another one in two non consecutive games. It's the weekend and this doesn't normally happen. Some people will be away but I get the feeling people are sick of this event (It has been pretty bad), playing other games and will return once there's just the normal mode again. Normal solo queue right now feels like people are playing for their and their families lives, so doubt many are playing that instead.

  • Treacherous Crows is widely regarded as a top 3 worst perk in the game and Weaving Spiders certainly doesn't need a nerf.

I used it for a couple of days a while back to do some tests with it. Only time it was useful was using it at the end of a match when a killer was protecting a 3 gen. I remember it worked a couple of times. One was a farm map where a Blight had a 3 gen and there were only 3 of us left. Me and another survivor kept getting one of the gens to around 80%, but he kept chasing us off and going back to the other gen where the 3rd survivor was. I was already 2 hooked so went off to the basement. The invocation must have 99'd the gen and it popped a second or two later. The gate got opened and all 3 got out.

It also massively helped in another very similar scenario, again, being two hooked, except I didn't quite get out being broken but the other two did.

Even with these successes, it certainly isn't OP, is extremely niche and only useful in very specific circumstances. Using it at the start of a match is pretty much a death sentence and overall it simply isn't worth running for the very occasional time it is useful, like once in 50 matches or something! Way better value to be had out of so many other perks.

  • Sort out some of the awful maps. Forgotten Ruins the first that comes to mind of many.

I get they tried something different with that map and that's a good thing, but it needs something doing to it. Killer has no reason to ever leave the top level and even if they do, the portal they come out of often spawns a gen 2 metres from it. I've genuinely only ever escaped from that map twice, and the second time was a pre nerf TOTH build Pinhead that didn't lose a gen and let me out because I dropped him my item. Whenever I load into that map as survivor, I know it's pretty much an automatic loss.

  • Knight isn't OP but can be extremely boring and annoying to play against.

  • Not a fan of the map on either role. It's very dependent on what goes on in the main hall.

  • Play against a half decent SWF and gen times are nowhere near long enough for the majority of the killers in the game. Lowering the spped again from 90 secs though would annihilate solo queue. It's in a rough place at the moment as it is. You'd basically never escape unless you had 3 very good team mates which as a 100% solo queue player, I can vouch is very rare.

The maps are mostly all smaller now. Doing gens in the right order has never been more important. Even with the 8 regression event limit, so often in solo queue you have no chance to undo what silly team mates have done to 3 or 4 gen you into a tiny part of the map. The new Ormond Mine for example can spawn 4 gens extremely close together on the side opposite the main building. I've played on there 2 times as survivor and once as killer. The killer game as Pig, I could get to all 4 of the gens left in about 20 seconds total walk time and I didn't purposely stay in that area to create it. 90 seconds in solo queue is more than enough. There are enough unwinnable mismatches as it is now already.

It's only the top survivor level any change is needed. Whether that's an action debuff to 4 man SWF's or at a certain MMR rating I don't know but how that would even work? God knows!

  • Basekit unbreakable was a mess in that PTB but from what I've seen the past few days, Unbreakable is pretty much a mandatory perk for a survivor to take in Solo Queue during this event. The amount of value, game changing value, I've got from it the past day, is probably more than I've got out of it in 3 years.

Also, I don't run it but also have seen several survivors get up off Adrenaline.

If killers keep this up than BHVR is going to do something. And it will be fully brought on by all the killers that are pointlessly slugging at the moment. I'm playing a lot of killer at the moment and understand when it is worth and should be done but at present it's getting ridiculous.

  • It's literally every game! Just had all 4 of us slugged by a Billy but luckily I'm taking Unbreakable based on how bad things are at present and 2 got out and 1 killed an inch from victory.

I'm not sure how you even can fix things now. How heavily killer sided it is at mid and lower level and how survivor sided it is at the top level, you just make things even worse at one or the other with any changes and it just breeds even more toxicity.

  • The new invocation has to be one of the worst perks in the game. The set up and permanent broken are nowhere even close to worth it.

The other Invocation for gens can be good in very specific situations if used at the right time, but it's basically a killer perk only 98% of the time, whereas the crows one is 100% of the time.

  • What I've seen in the past two days in solo queue in the Christmas mode is beyond belief.

Just now finished a game against a Wesker who hard tunnelled out a Nea, slugged the Ash, I got one hooked in the basement and then he downed the Taurie and humped her on the ground until she bled out. There are certainly some specimens in this community. This is in the Christmas mode for crying out loud.

Never seen camping and tunnelling as much as the past few days. Is the Christmas mode some sort of comp mode but I haven't been told? It's unreal.

  • I've played against a Houndmaster a couple of times today where they make it impossible to unhook without it being a trade. Just a real bore to play against now.

  • Survivor games are pretty awful in solo queue at the moment. I've been playing mostly killer in normal mode.

Killers in the event mode are playing like it's a full comp mode. Play survivor in the normal queue and it's just Hound Masters trying to take the character to higher levels of hate than original Skull Merchant. Game feels in a strange place at the moment. It's just getting very difficult to have fun on either side, although killer is slightly better.

  • 2v8 will be what finishes DBD if they try and persist with it to be anymore than an occasional weekend mode. Even two to three weeks was way too much as it permanently broke queue times and just splits the community. The mode is too watered down with a lack of any longevity at all.

There is no obvious way to sort queues. Making people play as survivor to get quicker killer queues will just be people dying on purpose and then when they do get to play as killer, those games will be terrible as it will be survivors doing what they've just done thenselves to get to play killer. Everyone loses that way through terrible match quality. Then the so called "casual" mode becomes a complete mess.

I wish more survivors understood the importance of NOT doing safe edge gens first but instead trying to hammer out mid gens ASAP.

I feel like I can judge a survivors intelligence in game when I see them also join me in making the mid, or at the very least the unsafe gens first. As a solo queue veteran this is unfortunately the exception not the rule and it means I am often the one who gets found first, as I take the biggest risks gen wise because I know doing the wrong gens first dooms the team in the end.

This huge on certain maps. Places like Ormond, Shelter Woods, RPD, the newish map with the cinema that's the same relm as Garden of Joy. Also several others. Get those done early and even a mobile killer can struggle to protect gens spread out later on.

Also leave gens in high up buildings such as the cinema map, Dead Dawg Saloon, Coal Tower for as late as possible as they are time sinks to check. A lot of killers won't bother patrolling them early on as they are waste too much time instead of protecting gens close together at ground level. Survivors do those early on and killers will be pleased!

  • This is a great thread really then. If it helps even one person, then that's one person who's DBD experience will be greatly improved!

Keep the tips coming guys however obvious they might seem. Even if it helps just one or two people then it's info we'll shared.

You're going to be in heaven. If you play on console, you can relax more as your Survivor auto repairs the generator (minus skillchecks) while you look around for stealth killers. You'll know what I mean when you feel it. Just don't forget to also turn on Run to Cancel. Can't wait to hear how your experience is! Have fun!

I came to DBD after the covid area Warzone when that game started to deteriorate. In that looting chests, reloading, putting on armour plates by default you had to hold the button down. From that I knew how important toggle instead of button hold could be. After a few days of trying to do skill checks, look around for stealth killers and holding down a button all at the same time on a controller and plenty of missed skill checks, I realised toggle was a thing. Plus I was a scared baby survivor back then running Spine Chill but bricking it against a Ghost Face which was quite common as it was Halloween 2021!

Toggle is 100% a game changer on controller. Really didn't realise people didn't know and held a button continually still!

  • I thought everyone knew this already and haven't been sat holding down a button on gens or healing for years?

  • Closest I got to it was about two years ago on one of the farm maps against a Nurse. There were two gens left when the other 3 were dead. The Nurse found the hatch and just stood by it. She didn't know that I'd seen her camping it, so I 99'd the first gen, did another nearby one, quickly popped the other one, managed to get into a locker by one of the gates, but not too near it, so she had no idea where I was for a while. Unfortunately the gates were pretty close together so she found me once I was three quarters of the way opening it.

Never been as close to getting it again and have never taken a build to attempt it.

  • Killers seem to have moved on already. 90mph wind all day and couldn't go out so played a hell of a lot of DBD today. Saw it once all day. During the week it was every game.

this is not a waste of time, you permanently remove the killer perk

It's the 38 seconds you get on the toten the 1st time before the killer checks it, then the 32 seconds you spend doing it again once the killer is chasing someone else, but then he's injured them so you scream, then the 3rd time you get to 35 seconds before the killer chases someone and spots you doing it. By this time you've already lost the game and may as well have sat in a locker or hidden in the corner of the map for 2 minutes doing absolutely nothing.

Clensing them all without being disturbed doesn't happen and vast majority of times loses you the game, Counterforce or not. Doing gens as quickly as possible and not going down instantly in chase is the most effective way to beat it as killer are not as focused on gens, or have the usual regression or defense perks.

Bringing more viable perks into the game for killer is definitely something that needs to be done. I play a decent amount of killer and I welcome this but TOTH needs toning down slightly from the numbers it has now.

  • It's pretty much just a waste of time you don't actually have trying to cleanse all the totems.

Best way I've found is Commodius Toolbox with charge and speed add ons, run Built To Last, Streetwise, Sprint Burst and either Deliverance or Resilience and smash the gens ASAP.

There's no Pain Res, Lethal and Corrupt to worry about, killers aren't patrolling gens much. Get to end game or as close to as possible and as long as someone can survive any length of time in chase you should be able to delay Devour long enough. Deliverance self unhook don't give them a stack.

Thats the best way I've found and was getting consistent 2+ outs every game yesterday.

  • Revert it and test it with view to a more sensible buff in the next PTB.

  • This evening I played I think 6 games and escaped from 4 of them. Every single game was a TOTH build. It's actually been a decent session though.

I've just gone all out on gens. Luckily other survivors seem to have also realised that slamming gens is better than wasting time trying to cleanse the totems. You don't really have to worry about Pain Res and killers are barely patrolling gens at all really.

Been running Built To Last, Streetwise, Sprint Burst and either Deliverance or Resilience. Also Commudious Toolbox, with the yellow spool and swival sockets. As there's no Pain Res, the only thing that interrupts you is the odd scream from Face the Darkness but that doesnt delay you at all really.

Obviously the Toolbox, BTL and Streetwise mean you have a lot of quick gen charges to use, Resilience for even more speed when injured or Deliverance to delay Devour, both have worked well in rotation. Sprint Burst to make chases longer. The build has been working really well, but have also got lucky with good teammates. Not the sort of thing I would usually run, but little choice at the moment.

  • Counterforce doesn't work in solo queue, believe me. Best way to counter this build is do gens as fast as possible and in chase don't get caught for as long as possible.

Problens with this are that for the past year, at the very least in solo queue, there has been a wide number of perks you can use and not feel completely useless or just get instantly stomped by the killer. If TOTH isn't nerfed, you are essentially playing against Tombstone Myers but on every killer, except you can't hide in lockers to prevent the mori. Which is quite ironic considering the update nerfed tombstone add on heavily on Myers!

It's the same approach as playing a Tombstone Myers except it's nearly every match and with certain killers, even more powerful than that. If TOTH isn't tweaked down, it'll just lead the every single survivor bringing Commodiuses, BNPs, maybe Built to Last, Streetwise and every other gen rush perk and add on imaginable as well as dead hard, syringes, borrowed time in a bottle and everything else to extend chases. That will be all survivors will be able to bring.

The survivor build variety will die and any killer not using this hex build will moan about increased sweaty survivors gen rushing, using powerful chase perks, add one's and stuff. It needs to be changed quickly for everyone's sake!

  • I've not played a game yet where the totems have been cleansed even with Counterforce in my build every game and have faced it a lot now.

I'm thinking the only real way to beat it is to do the gens as quickly as possible before they get the 5 stacks of Devour, which has worked once with a 3 man out and got to 1 or 2 gens left a couple of times. In solo queue this needs several long chases whilst hoping the killer keeps chasing someone that can evade them for a decent length of time and the other survivors sticking to gens. Solo queue being solo queue this rarely happens!

  • It's still 100 on PS5. Think Sony only allow them to be changed if they are made outright impossible by a game update.

I've long since settled for The Lullaby For The Dark chapter trophies to be forever stuck on 75%!

  • I've played against it the last four survivor solo queue games this evening. The killer just tries to protect the TOTH totum at all costs. So sending out the dog, a Knight sending the guards and Unknown teleporting to the nearest clone. Against the Hound Master on Ormond we absolutely slammed gens and the 3rd Devour Stack only hit when someone got downed after all the gens were done.

The other games didn't go so well. Couldn't even get one totem done without getting interrupted, even with Counterforce. Got down to two gens a couple of times, but you need a couple of top class loopers to have any chance.

There's no way they'll leave the perk like this for Christmas.

  • Ignoring the totems altogether basically means you have 3 unhooks until you are permanently exposed and 5 unhooks until you are 1 hit from insta mori. Any killer with mobility and a half decent knowledge of maps will easily be able to get that way before 5 gens are completed.

The problem is solo queue and lack of comms and coordination. A SWF can tackle it but solo queue, there will always be major problems. The slowdown TOTH gives need dropping a touch from the 14% they've changed it to.

Another perk/build that massively impacts solo queue. I don't even mind it, at least it's something different as I'm now running Counterforce, but will get annoying very quickly if it becomes too common, especially as there are certain killers and builds that make cleansing impossible from what I've seen.

  • It needs to be dialled back a bit. I've been taking Counterforce all day but when someone is running this totem build, someone always seems to dc. Then you end up with the bots attempting to do the totem without Counterforce while you are stood there with a big boost and they don't realise that you have the perk to do them! And of course everyone then dies. Has happened 3 times already today.

A human player with half a brain can see from the new HUD update that I'm getting them done quickly and let you do them, but the bots just end up sabotaging the whole game! It's really annoying.

It's basically a solo queue stomper. SWF's probably laugh at this perk and build.

  • I play 75-80% survivor and am certainly not a killer main, I don't want 2v8 as it is at the moment and can see the very obvious problems with it. It's nothing to do with survivor vs killer or easier games or not.

  • They aren't scared to make it permanent, they just don't want to destroy their own game.

A LOT of people enjoyed survivor for a very limited time. It has no variety, gets boring and samey extremely quickly and there's simply no way supply of survivors would keep up with the demand caused by killers. Then all queues are messed up again. Then there's no grind, the licensed fees for killers they've paid money to get can't be used and there would be no point spending money on auric cells. Would be an insane decision.

As for the argument of it being a casual mode. It wouldn't happen. Would be full of people sweating to stomp lobbies and just as bad as 1v4 for meta tactics. Was already happening often the last couple of days that killers would just cross map to the predictable cage spawns.

Every PvP game I can think of that tried "casual modes" has had the same result. Fifa tried it about 10 years ago with a no coin rewards mode with the idea it would be a chill game mode. It was full of people bronze benching (putting really low rated players on the bench) to bring down team ratings so they could use all the cheap meta players, sweaty meta tactics and destroying people playing casual. Was a complete mess and removed and never came back.

  • No way am I using No Mither. I did an old tome challenge which was escape using No Mither and no other perk just before 2v8 came back. Was very lucky to get it first go as it seemed to be a baby killer but just felt like I was sabotaging the game from the start for my other teammates.

I'll be using For the People with something like Resilience and Sprint Burst so that I'm not a complete liability for the whole match. Don't see much point in trying it with a perk that will probably help the first hooked decide to go next and waste everybodys time.

  • Most uses of maps are SWFs that use builds associated with that map to give themselves a huge advantage.

Worst offenders being Eyrie of Crows (which was even worse before the rework), Garden of Joy (which is just a 50/50 now so has dropped off) and Badham with a basement at killer shack offering that makes survivors in main building unhookable with certain builds.

Also occasionally see killers picking Lerys (Scratched Mirror) and a number of builds and killers work on Midwitch.

Only time I'd use a map in solo queue would be if I needed to do a Fall from Great Height whilst being Chased challenge and pick somewhere like Dead Dawg which normally has 3 gens at height or Crotus Prenn or something. This change won't effect me too much apart from when facing a stacked SWF as killer which is usually a major headache.

  • So SWF''s can coordinate to ignore it but in solo queue, we know that's never going to happen!

Im not sure what impact this will have in a build yet, but have seen it apparently makes Face the Darkness unclensable. Definitely something to watch. We'll see I guess.
