Barely play killer and only been playing 15 months and don't have them unlocked so not 100% sure exactly on their inner workings but could it be a killer end game perk. Maybe Blood Warden?
-
Head On?
-
I could see them making it so that it can only be used once on each gen like Merciless Storm and Tinkerer, and reducing the incapacitation to 15 seconds or so.
It's a pain as a solo survivor but if they do nerf it and possibly the perks associated with it, will they also change the strongest survivor perks to balance things and what will the new meta be then? It could be an even worse one than we have now, but I guess that's a future discussion!

Rather bizarrely, I’ve seen an uptick in killers burning RPD offerings in this event.
Happened three times two days ago.
RPD is a nightmare for survivors with those two gens on top of each other in the main hall and normally one very close in the direction of the fire escape side of the building. Every game I've had on there the past few days, the killer defends that area with their life. It's pretty much the hardest 3 gen to break in the entire game
The key now is getting one of those two gens done ASAP but it's pretty much impossible if the killer actively defends it. At least when/if one spawned at the top of the stairs there was some stuff to play around and it was far enough away from the bottom one that the killer might not go there if they were chasing past the lower one. Whoever thought of moving that gen to spawn in the middle of the hall is crazy!

Loaded into a solo queue match last night with a three man running this. Killer soon worked out what was happening and everyone was soon slugged, a complete disaster of a game.
-
I think quite a few things are bugged after the patch yesterday not sure exactly what though. Distortion is also growing in popularity as people are catching on to how useful it is now, not just to hide but for the information it can give to know the killers build since it was buffed, so could be that?

You could just get them through survivor bloodwebs.
I think, wasting everyone's time for an achievement that they probably unlocked years ago isn't fair.
I upgraded from the PS4 to PS5 last week, so I have all the trophies to get for the PS5 version of the game again so am opening them like crazy at the moment 😆

I've been doing a lot of random challenges since Christmas or before when I completed the previous Rift. Did one No Mither challenge because at least when you can use other perks, you can at least give yourself a build to still make yourself competitive. I gave the escape using No Mither and no other perks a complete miss though. That just sounds like a recipe for complete disaster!
-
I'm using ones I still have left over from last year.
-
I don't see it happen too often. Only scenarios really are when survivors stays too close together against a one hit killer, the Onryo condemned slug build/Knockout and Third Seal builds which are rare and the suvivor being downed when two people are already dead and the killer doesn't want the chance of hatch coming into play.
With the new killer adept changes just requiring a 4k, and the new rift opening today, can see the final scenario happening more than usual the coming days and weekend especially, so Unbreakable is probably worth running in your builds if it works you up that much because it's only going to happen more often in the short term.

Not too long ago, I'd have said Pinhead, but recently when I've matched with him I've luckily had a decent team and the games have been good. As has been pointed out though, a bad team is not a good experience.
I'm going to nominate Legion. Without fail it's always a painful, boring experience, absolutely tedious and the least enjoyable thing imaginable, would rather face 100 straight strong add on Nurse/Blights in a row than one Legion game. A killer I'd lose absolutely no sleep to if they were deleted out the game permanently. Normally a team mate disconnects as soon as they hear him approaching for the first time as well to make things even worse.
Honourable mention to The Knight though. Almost always a 45 minute plus slog of endless gen kicking and running from the AI whilst they sit in the same part of the map protecting the same three gens from the start. Not looking forward to Tome 14 if it increases the amount he appears.
-
Funniest one I saw was yesterday on Midwitch. I died 3rd and spectated the final survivor to see if they could get hatch. It spawned in that tiny little corridor bit that is only accessible by a window and a breakable door next to it from the main corridor side, and goes back into a small room behind with a door into a bigger room along side it.
The survivor had found the hatch first and was standing in the tiny area by the hatch. The killer broke the door and the survivor pressed the button to go into the hatch last minute but got sucked into the locker that's also crammed in the little space behind. I think the killer felt sorry for them and let them out the locker and get into the hatch without killing them. I think something would have been broken if the killer had got them!

I dread to think what these forums would be like if this started catching on. It's miserable to face against Sadoko as it is. We'd be begging for Eruption/COB/Overcharge/NTH against Knight matches to come back!
-
It happens sometimes. It took me 3 hours to get the 3rd escape out of 3 in the Christmas event tome. Seemed like I'd never escape again.
Then last weekend I went on a run of 8 escapes in a row where I was getting everything run my way, the other 3 survivors mostly being levels above what you'd normally get, whatever random build I ran ended up being perfect for the situation. Standard peaks and troughs of solo Q, you've got to accept at times things are simply not going to go your way.
-
Only time I've used them a lot is when they released Wesker and every other game was sending you to RPD for a couple of weeks. ☹️
Only other time is when I need to do falling from great height or use balanced landing to escape from chases type challenges. Take Dead Dawg Saloon and Balanced Landing and concentrate on attacking the two or three high up gens that spawn, especially on main building for great height ones.
Plus I find the most fun games tend to take place on that map for me.
-
Legion, Legion, Legion. If I could delete one killer forever, this would be the one that goes. Always the most mind numbing games possible. So boring to play against. Can't remember one single game ever where it's been fun, escape or not.
The Knight was getting up there because you knew most of the time it means the game will last for 45 or more, but don't know if it's just me getting lucky, but his usage seems to have dropped off a cliff. Not seen him for a couple of weeks now.
-
Merciless Storm is normally fine. But if Doctor uses it, good luck hitting that in madness 2 or 3!
Also Knockout when Sadoko uses it on that slug build people do after they've taken you to Red Forest, and then drop you in the corner of the map 😔
-
Every Knight I play against goes one of two ways.
1) gets one kill at most and the match is probably very frustrating for them
2) the game goes on for 45 minutes plus when they camp a 3 gen in a tiny part of the map that they refuse to leave from the very start of the match, and the uncoordinated Solo Q survivors eventually die either of boredom or lack of ability to break the regression as a team.
I agree though about his kill rate. People will figure out a strategy at some point to win more consistently without using example 2, maybe when some perks are tweaked and new metas start to emerge other than the one we have now.

There are only 2 common regression perks (off the top of my head, maybe more) that work without the need for survivor interaction, both can be stopped by just gen tapping. If the killer is getting regression from downs and hooks then that's on the survivors. When survivors split on gens, the killer can only ignore you all to kick (losing the gens to war of attrition) or has to take a chase.
Watch good survivors in this situation and they will stick on gens and only pull back far enough to see if the killer takes the chase. No loadout of gen perks can stop this unless the killer is getting multiple activations from the downs/hooks.
20+ minutes due to a 3 gen is a great example of inadequate Survivor efficiency. That just shows one or more players is too hesitant on returning to a gen.
I agree about survivor inefficiency. This is why the build normally works to hold the gens. Solo Q has no Comms and uncoordinated survivors for the job. A decent SWF will no doubt beat it after not too long.
Have managed to break the tactic a couple of times today though. Both me and another survivor had distortion to block his Nowhere To Hide after the gen kick in one game, so we could hide really close to the furthest out generator of the 3, without being revealed. He also had Prove Thyself and I'd lucked out and got a decent toolbox from a chest. We managed to get it done by the time he realised what was happening.
In the other game, it was on Dead Dawg, but wasn't great for the killer as he had chosen the gen on the main building balcony as one of the 3, so me and another survivor could see the other survivor getting chased and both let go for the Eruption. Getting up the stairs took him too long but I still got downed at the exact time the gen completed, but still made it out in the end.
It can be beaten definitely, but in Solo Q you need switched on survivors and the killer to get distracted by another survivor just long enough which is not an easy thing to do with no comms.
-
There's 3 of them to do on Tome 5, Level 1 for 25k bloodpoints apiece, and I think it gives 4k in game as well. Only reason I know is because I've been doing random challenges left over from Tomes during the laggy servers.
-
Fixing the server that has been busted in the UK since Christmas Day should be top of the list before anything else takes place.

I've noticed the borgo tends to have some really poor gen placement too considering how massive it is. Normally there's one in the shack, one in the immediate cluster of bushes and fences outside and another further left towards the edge of the map. All within sight of each other - considering this map was created for the Knight you'd think they'd be more spread out. Some variations if the Auto haven Wreckers are terrible at the moment too.
Apparently Hag is good at this too. First game of the day on The Borgo. 55 minutes of not leaving one tiny part of the map and the game is eventually over. 😖
Can't wait to be told Deja Vu could have prevented this from happening and magically make the Hag move from the three red highlighted gens and told me what was obvious from about 1 minute in.

ahh wasn’t that ayrun and them?
Yeah. As someone has said earlier, you'll probably never play against it in a thousand or more matches of Solo Q as a killer, but just shows what a coordinated SWF can do on this game!
-
I'm being massively effected by the broken laggy server and turning off the DC penalty hasn't helped anything.
Now the games that don't lag are also mostly pointless as well as they're basically 3v1s or 2v1s at 4 or 5 gens because there's always someone that DC's the second they get downed. It was still quicker to get a proper game by just killing yourself on the laggy games instead of just quitting for free because now a non laggy, decent match is even rarer than before.
-
I slipped a disc in November so had a lot of time on my hands! One morning I saw a stream of 4 UK YouTubers seeing how quickly they could do all the gens and get the doors open. It took 2m 27s. Obviously they all had purple toolboxes, BNPs, a couple of proves and the door opener had Wake Up plus a couple of other perks I can't remember, but that is quite insane
-
Survivors 3 genning themselves is entirely the survivors fault, and Deja Vu can help against that.
What is being talked about here is when from the start of the game a killer (very often The Knight, but not always), sits in an area probably no bigger than 10% of the entire map that contains 3 generators and refuses to leave it for anything. Deja Vu won't help you in this situation! The game will end after an hour when the lobby auto closes, or when the survivors get so bored that they simply can't be bothered any more, normally around the 45 minute mark, unless they are super masochistic!
It's happening more and more by the day and together with the awful servers right now in the UK, the game isn't fun for anyone here at the moment.

3 gens should be a thing if survivors have created it. The amount of times i see groups of survivors hop from one gen to the next closest one straight away is quite staggering.
Although, I will say that gen placement recently has been stupid in that a killer can defend a three gen from the beginning of the match they're that close together which shouldn't be allowed.
Had a game on Crotus Prenn Disturbed Ward that had the worst placement I've seen. One gen in the main building, one very close to the building on one side and the other five on the other side, as close to the killer shack as would be possible. The game went on an age, although it was a decent team for Solo Q and we eventually got 5 gens done in 40 minutes. I don't think the killer was intentionally trying for the 3 gen but with the spawn it gave it was impossible to stop it happening. If he had camped it from the start, doubt we'd have got more than 3 gens completed!
-
I had a game that went on for a full hour yesterday on Shelter Woods. Three generators spawn very close to each other in the corner of the map with barely anything but a few trees and a few rocks around them. The Knight never left that part of the map and with a boon set up at the opposite corner it turned into complete stalemate. We almost got one done a couple of times but the Knight just kept sending his guards to the furthest gen he wasn't at and then going to it afterwards with Eruption, COB, Jolt and the aura perk that shows people around a gen. If he did down one of the survivors, everything was back to zero. It was so stupid and not the first game like this against the Knight. Surely playing like this isn't fun for the killer either?
-
It's a joke again today. Games are either the worst lag you've ever seen, no lag but half the team DC's the second someone gets downed at 5 gens, or you play the Knight and three gens spawn on top of each other in an open part of Shelter Woods and the game lasts the full hour as they don't move from that corner of the map, don't chase and send their guards out to the gen they are furthest away from (about 10 second walk). Fun times 😆

It's an absolute embarrassment that servers have been left like this for 5 days now in the UK. If we have to join a server in Spain or something then great. Switch the London server off! I get the office is closed but the past couple of years with all the working from home that's gone on, surely a short term fix can be performed?
The twitter account can tweet nonsense out every day, but a proper statement on the main page, not a two line reply buried in a thread somewhere that hardly anyone can see, isn't hard to do. If it can't be fixed until next week at least put out a message saying so.
-
It's a complete joke. 4 or 5 days of this now.
Can see what the next problem will be. There'll be EU killers playing way above their level because they keep getting 4 kills in unplayable lobbies as survivors just kill themselves in the hope of getting a proper lobby! And lower EU killers will be playing better survivors than they should as the survivors are unintentionally dropping their MMR in unplayable lobbies.
-
So this is still going on! Looks like the game is going to be totally unplayable in half the matches played for a lot of people for well over a week if nothing is done until after New Year. What a terrible advert for the game for any new or returning players that could have picked the game up over Christmas.
-
I'm not 100% sure on this, but from my games today, I'm having a guess that when there is more than one console user in the lobby it makes the server misbehave for whatever reason. I'm on PS4 and am only playing if there are no other same platform users in the survivor lobby. (Don't have the globe icon next to their name). It might just be coincidence but doing that, it only goes mad if the killer if also on console.
Again don't quote me on this! Probably just better to play something else right now.
-
It's gone from an occasional game being unplayable a few days ago to probably one in every two being completely broken, players teleporting everywhere, things not spawning in properly, completely broken animations. They can't leave it like this for another 6 days until after the New Year surely?
-
Played four games today. First was fine, next three a complete and utter mess. Completely unplayable.
