  • I don't really know what else you can do to her now without completely redoing how she works.

The minority, either expert or highly experienced Nurses, will more than likely destroy you but the majority will either struggle or get flat out embarrassed depending on the map or what builds the survivors have nowadays against even a semi competent solo queue team. Thats why she has a low overall kill rate. Any more nerfs will just hurt all the mid to low level Nurses and drop her kill rate to an all time low.

  • The problem is 99% of Judgements run pretty much the same build with Lethal, Nurses and Gearhead with the aura add ons and have no interest in chasing longer than 5 seconds. Stay around the middle of a pretty central 3 gen and blast the beams at the constant auras that appear. Failing that, if there's a shadow step boon, just fire at the gens.

There's massive high skill potential with the killer to chase and also be able to hit beams whilst doing that, but its just turned into a lazy shoot at the aura spam fest at present. Not seen a Judgement going for chases since release day and a day or two after that.

Congratulations. I started on Xbox, got the 3 blink grab achievement on there and after being on playstation for a long time now, I never have even tried to get it again.

I was lucky. Put off trying it for years as I'm bad with Nurse. Got the adept on Tuesday using the 4.6ms add on after you get a blink hit against survivors that could well have been playing on controller and holding it upside down. I guess to do with the MMR reset.

And yesterday I came up against a SWF that instantly knew what I was trying to do very first attempt when I triple blinked straight away at the start of the game and then stood there hitting the gen as they started running.

  • It's annoying but at the moment happy as I finally got DBD platinum trophy on PS5 last night.

Last two trophies were Nurse adept and then made friends with a SWF and did the triple blink grab first attempt as they knew what I was trying to do and let me do it. Ended the match with a slug race after opening the gate for them.

My first Platinum trophy for 10 years!

She also isnt hard to play, most people run full aura builds, there is no defense against that on survivor side, she sees everyone all the time.

So she just snipes from afar constantly while holding 3 gens from the very start.

So hard is massive oversell, never saw a chase judgement at all its always long range sniping also she disables most of survivor perks as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if her winrate very high against solo especially

For the past few weeks, I've been copying the exact build of the survivor with lowest (or next lowest if its me) and using it until I escape a match and then copying the lowest survivor build again and using that until I escape ect.

The other day I was using 4 boon perks; Expo, CoH, Shadow Step and Steadfast. Loaded into a match on Forgotten Ruins against a Judgement. I managed to set up a boon underground that was pretty much in the middle of the map. The match ended up as a total stalemate. The killer didnt bother to hunt the totem and was nearly totally blind, apart from behind the castle and killer shack, due to Shadow Step, and just spammed out beams over and over to different gens.

It turned into a match from a few years back when The Knight and Skull Merchant were first released, of holding a three gen and survivors getting hit and running off to the other side of the map to heal in the boon with auras hidden to the killer. Nearly 45 minutes this went on for! A SWF would have no doubt been able to beat it, but for random solos it still wasnt possible, even with her being mostly blind.

I wonder if this is how BHVR anticipated the Judegment games going? I somehow doubt it!

  • I was lucky to get the Vecna survivor achievement the first day he came out. RPD escapes you will get over time, and somehow managed to get the Walking Dead map generator one done today after all this time. Barely see that map at all so felt really bad opening the gate and leaving the other 3 behind. Was not taking any risk of a sneaky Blood Warden play!

Only two i have left without spending any money now are Nurse adept and the Nurse triple blink grab one. I'm terrible at Nurse so don't even want to attempt it. Those are from the base game and would give me a Platinum.

i got Plague for perks, played one game, and never touched her again. i cant hit her vomit for some reason

There are times when you blatently hit it, the survivor makes the noise of it infecting them but it doesn't do anything. Happens once or twice a session normally. To get the best chance of hitting it, you've got to fire it and shake your head so it fires all round the survivor.

The red puke though is probably the most powerful projectile in the entire game.

  • I used to play all the killers pretty evenly, with at various times slight bias towards Clown, Wraith and Bubba but the past few months, the only killer I've used is Plague. Had some good games playing with her.

  • I heard it for the first time earlier. Sounds like someone strangling a cat or fox or something.

  • I played probably 75% survivor, 25% killer the past month.

Survivor matches, I'm escaping at over 52% over the last month, and am.bang on a lifetime 40% escape rate. It really feels like survivors know exactly what they are doing much more than usual, like the MMR match making is more on it.

With killer, I've played only Plague and have a 68% kill rate.

Now though, am starting to see a lot more slugging, just like the start of last year before they changed Knockout. Now though it's Infectious Fright and Coulrophobia. Had a Blight running this on the new map earlier and the game went on for over half an hour until people started to just give up. Ghouls also like doing this as well it seems!

I got it last year and I get it again now. It'll only increase until BHVR changes things.

  • It massively reminds me of the PS4 game, Sleeping Dogs.

I really don't know what to think of it yet as haven't played enough on it but a lot of what's written so far seems pretty accurate. Also was messing around with Balanced Landing yesterday and of course got this map second game using it!

  • They don't need it, Wesker especially is probably one of the most balanced killers in the game?

Ghoul however is probably the biggest problem in the entire game at the moment. Wouldn't care one bit if the Skull Merchant treatment was to come out, but it never will being a licensed killer.

  • It would very quickly get to the point where it'll be next to impossible to start a match on any killer due to lobby dodging. Much as it would be nice to never play against a Ghoul, it would completely destroy the game.

  • Showing the killer to survivors in the pre game lobby would be awful for the game. People would just switch to loadouts with MFT against legion or Ghoul or change items away from med kits against Plague for example or would most likely just dodge the killer entirely. Would be virtually impossible to get a game to start for the vast majority of killers because there'll always be someone that doesn't like each particular killer.

In theory it'd be great to never play against another Ghoul ever again but would just kill the game outright in no time at all. Nobody wants to play lobby simulator surely?

Off topic, but i dont understand this, Why not cleanse the Plague? not cleansing means you are permanently one hit ??

now imagine her playing with PWYF, she would catch up pretty quick, and if she uses perks where she have no terror radius on top of that..

It's all very situational. You don't want all 4 injured for Thana or to do a risky hook rescue injured. But overcleansing, and doing it in the wrong part of the map, where there are still active gens or in the middle where she can get the red puke quickly and be back into live parts of the map make it very easy for her to get quick downs and/or snowball the game very quickly. If you have to cleanse which sometimes you do, best to do it in the corner of a map where there aren't any gens or the nearby gens have been completed. It has to be somewhere where she wastes a decent amount of time.

I don’t see Ghoul all that often anymore, but I don’t think I’ve ever escaped against one because at least one teammates has DC’d or gone AFK every single time I’ve faced Ghoul.

I see Ghoul all the time. The new Vecna though, seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Almost as though all the Ghouls tried him for a week and have now returned to Kaneki.

  • We seem to be reaching original Skull Merchant territory when it comes to versing Ghoul in solo queue. The last two games I've played against them yesterday, a survivor has quit instantly on hearing the terror radius music.

Yep thats the other thing is not everyone is full "rage hacking" but sometimes you see things that just dont add up and its very subtle.

Exactly this. Not been playing killer due to queue times, but so many suspicious things happening in my survivor games last night. Played 5 or 6 games and in two games the killer just knew the exact location of the next survivor to chase after hooking despite not having BBQ or any other perks or add ons that would make this possible. Beelining cross map to the exact rock the last survivor was behind despite no scratch marks or crows startled, everyone thinking the killer has BBQ so pre hide in lockers only for the killer to go to the exact location and open the exact locker with no perk or power to help do that.

Lots of little things that just make no sense at all. There's killers with good game sense and then there's killers that seem to have infornation their builds just don't give them access to. No doubt it's happenung the other way round as well.

  • I just remember that it was Christmas a month or so before she released and it was a miserable period. The Knight had just released and with the gen kick meta of COB, Overcharge and Eruption, games were already lasting forever. Servers in Europe were a complete mess. One of them was broken the whole 2 week plus holiday period, so if you loaded into it, the game was basically unplayable. So most games were either everyone rubber banding around the map or getting down to the last gen and spending forever trying to do it before everyone eventually dying after spending endless time unable to do anything due to Eruption.

The Skull Merchant came in the January and could do what Knight could do but 10 times worse. Games lasted 45 minutes at least against her, and people began to just quit at the sound of her terror radius. This was before bots and the HUD changes so it was impossible. They would literally never leave the area of the best 3 gen. Then there was that video of a match between the worlds best survivor team and someone that had barely ever played Skull Merchant............

They kept changing her and eventually nerfed her into dust because no matter what they did, survivors would just quit making it impossible to have a proper game.

  • The first 10 matches I played against Vecna resulted in 39 deaths and 1 lucky player got a hatch escape.

Usually when these sort of numbers come out, like when they over buffed Thrill of the Hunt a while back, I resort to full gen rush, Commodius and built to last or stake out, Hyperfocus type builds.

This time though, since a lot of them have been using the hex build gong around, I've switched things up to Counterforce, Overzealous, Inner Strength, and whatever other perk I feel like take and a totem finding map. Has worked very well. Just smash through totems, have healing if I need it and gen speed boost. Even managed to escape the last two matches against him with a 3 and 4 escape.

Other killers seem to be using hexes quite a bit as well at the moment so the build has been decent and has enough about it to help when no totems are in play.

It isn't easy at all but it's another killer you really don't want to get caught in an open, dead part of the map against and I can see why people compare him to Nurse. Don't give up and keep trying stuff out against him is the way to go.

  • I've played 10 games against the new killer, haven't escaped once and in those games, there was only one total escape, and that was someone winning the hatch race. Fun times in solo queue!

  • All I know is solo queue is an extremely rough place right now with matches constantly either against this guy or Ghoul.

  • I had a killer match last week where I readied up and didn't pay attention to the lobby and had 4 Stevegulls in the match. I managed to kill a couple of them but the constant screaming gave me a banging headache.

Not going to lie, I've not gone into a game as killer with a Steve since because I obviously don't want another headache! So glad it's gone.

The joke got old in 2023 but I'm sure it'll just move onto the next survivor with a loud, annoying scream unfortunately.

  • I bought Krasue with shards when she was released, but was completely burnt out of DBD after 4 straight years and never actually used her. Had a 3 month break until coming back at Christmas time and finally tried her much nerfed from release character last night.

Managed a 1k first match and two 4k in the next two games. Went with an easy mode build of Lethal, BBQ, Bamboozle and NTH whilst learning how to use her, although I used Machine Learning first game instead of NTH. Feels very much like she'll struggle massively against a team of competent survivors but destroy a random solo queue with no chemistry, which is pretty much what happened the 3 games I played.

Will get the adept and other trophy and doubt I'll use her much after that but it's always good to play a killer for a bit, if only to see and learn the counters people use against her, and what works and what doesn't.

    Will follow your progress!

  • I'm getting a bit sick of every killer game I play seeming to being on Badham right now!

  • Worst I've ever seen is on the Walking Dead map. 4 gens spawned so close that I could walk past them all within 10 seconds. One in the small building, then two behind it in the corner of the map and one just slightly along from the way into the building a bit along the edge of the map. It was absolutely ridiculous and the survivors had no chance breaking it.

  • Literally just got out of a game that was over in a minute against a Spirit live on Tiktok with every hack going. Just sat there with it on full display. Posts going back to August about the guy. How does this even happen?

  • 100% completion on all tomes and achievements and choosing random, lesser used perks and making builds with them that get results on both killer and survivor.

Been doing that now since I started In November 2021. Had my first big break from the game of 3 months after summer ended in September and had planned to come back for the Christmas event which I did refreshed and with new lease of life on the game and no longer burnt out!

  • I took a complete break from DBD after 5 years straight of playing from start of October and didn't even visit the forums or follow what's been going on. Came back this week (as I'd planned to do) and the first obvious thing in 20or so games is that they didn't follow through with any of the slugging and tunnelling stuff they planned to implement! Every game someone gets tunnellled out and people taking protection hits to try and prevent it get slugged. It's like nothing at all has changed in the past two months.

  • At this point do they even test the killers that they put into the live game?

They do the PTB and then the killer comes out a few weeks later in a completely different, much more powerful form that people they actually listen to would be able to tell them is silly.

What is the point of a PTB when they do this and then randomly change other perks that they didn't change during the PTB that make no sense without testing?

I've played against it. As it turns out it's incredibly easy to deal with since you just need to protect gens away from main and force the two one tap people to leave. Or just bleed them out eventually since they can't get any actual progress done. It was super easy.

Bleeding out No Mithers sounds like a great winning strategy LOL! Especially when you had two others slamming gens around the map.

The two No Mithers would be doing gens within distance of a Sprint Burst back to the main building, and on coms and pre running whenever you were remotely close. Unless you were Billy, Blight and a couple of others, they were basically immune.

You are right that the way to beat them was go after the two doing gens, but a 4 man on Badham with comms and tailored builds is anything but super easy to beat unless they are extremely bad and especially if you aren't using the top tier killers.

The whole map in theory could do with a rework but looking how that has gone with other maps in the past then perhaps not!

  • @Foggyguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4003307#Comment_4003307

… I don't care. If you are actually having issues with two people running no mither that's on you.

You obviously have no idea of the very specific scenario that could be created down there with two No Mithers working together in the main building as part of a 4 man before map offerings got nerfed. It's a none issue now anyway so not worth discussing any further.

  • @Foggyguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4003190#Comment_4003190

You do understand the statistical improbability of that just means you are lying right? Map offerings are dead the odds of you getting badham every night is tiny, with you losing the 50/50 on basement spawn, and somehow getting an extremely coordinated survivor group running these builds? You are more likely to find someone running no mither and winning than all of that aligning.

No mither and a couple of other perks in a SWF with the Badham and Basement in Shack offerings made you invincible in the main building lower floor area, but as you say, a SWF isn't going to set up all that without a nailed on guarantee they get that map anymore.

I remember playing against it with 2 No Mithers and it was impossible!

  • I'm not seeing too much tunnelling really in my solo queue games at the moment. There is the occasional tunnel at 5 gens left but no more so than usual and certainly not 30 games in a row.!

What I am seeing in my games as killer is teams doing gens extremely quickly. Chases need to be very short or you have very little chance of winning.

The past week or two in my survivor solo queue matches I've been messing around running gen builds. For example, a commudious toolbox with combinations of Fast Track, Stake Out, Hyper Focus, Bardic, Built to Last and Deja Vu. It's actually scary how quickly you can do gens with these perks. I've had multiple games over in 5 minutes with everyone escaping, or killers simply rage quitting after the last gen pops at 4:30. All it takes is one team mate to have a good chase and the game is as good as over unless it's a Blight or Billy running multiple siow down perks. Doing this my escape rate is well over 50%.

Now imagine groups running coordinated builds on comms.

The game is at the point where it's unbalancable with all the perks in play and any changes like what the recent PTB had are going to have opposite effects at different MMR levels. I don't see a way everyone will be happy.

  • At least you can't really get 4 man Swf's making themselves unhookable in there anymore by bringing a Badham map and basement in killer shack offerings.

Would normally be two that stayed near main building and forced chase down there that would be unhookable and unslugable with certain perks whilst two other had gen builds to smash the other gens. Not fun to play against whatsoever!

  • The Fallen Refuge map I've played on twice as survivor and twice as killer. One time while playing each roll, I've seen the most ridiculous 4 gen spread by the main building (or tile or whatever it's supposed to be) part of the map. As killer you can walk past each of the gens in the area within probably 10 seconds, if even that much. This really needs to not be able to spawn like this and desperately needs fixing. It's not every time, but if it does spawn, it's an automatic killer win. Any killer in the game can protect it even with the kick limit if they have even a minimal knowledge of the way the game works.

  • Playing on PS5 and controller, the amount of hits I miss that are completely inexplicable and should be unmissable, far far outweigh the hits it gifts you that probably should miss. Extremely annoying and frustrating mechanic.

  • It was pretty easy to win or have a really good, close game as survivor whilst 2v8 was up. Team mates pretty much always seemed to have a good grasp on what to do and when. Now 2v8 is over though, it's just a mess of dc'ing on first down, nobody doing gens and total and utter frustration.

It's actually pushing me into the camp of wanting 2v8 up permanently even though I barely touch it. It does seem to attract all the survivors that ruin 1v4 matches for the other 4 players.

On the skill check on console thing, is that input delay not solvable by changing the mode of the TV? I used to have when I switched to a better TV but eventually changed it to gamer mode or something like that and it was instant. Took me a while to get used to it as I was still going too early all the time because if being so used to compensating for the delay!

  • I even had one game a week ago against a P70 Wraith on Midwich where the gens were all done and everyone escaped in 5:27! This was solo queue and very much not a SWF. The wraith was playing normally, so not sure what he must have thought he was playing against.

  • Has been like this the whole time during 2v8. I have a chronic back problem that flared up for a couple of weeks so I was off work and played A LOT more than usual. I have a 50% escape rate and 55% kill rate the past 30 days from solo queue. All the idiots that quit the second they get downed, that run to the killer to be downed, that seem to hate actually playing the game but are too addicted to stop, have been playing 2v8 it seems.

If I play as survivor, all the matches are pretty close and anything from 2 or more survivors escape more often than not. Team mates seem to know what to do, they seem efficient and don't just hide all game. They seem at the very least to know the basics of running the killer whichever one it is and where to take them on the map when there are only 1 or 2 gens left and aren't scared to do gens injured when necessary.

When I play killer, I have to be careful what chases to take to avoid wasting any time unnecessarily, they all seem to know what tiles to loop on and when to run. You can bet your life the ones not being chased or unhooking are sat on gens. One or two kills happens more often than anything else. They feel like playing against a SWF even though they all joined the lobby separately.

With the way it's been the past few weeks, any of the stuff in the PTB going live would have made the game a complete joke.

No doubt now that 2v8 has finished, I suspect this will not be the case anymore and it'll be back to 3 and a bot vs 1 from 20 seconds in to half the matches.

  • @Hannacia said:

I'm going to get hate for saying this, but i dont mind if the survivors who are demanding these changes actually do stop playing this game.

Maybe after that soloQ will be better. Less survivors DCing because they got hit first. Less survivors dropping every single pallet in first chase with windows and leaving nothing for the rest of the match. Less survivors hiding in corners doing nothing. Less survivors leaving me to my first hook.

Maybe after the loud people who demand survivor to be spoonfed their victories leave, the people who have learned this game without 20 basekit perks will have better lobbies.

All the thing you describe haven't been really happening in the past few weeks for me. Solo Queue has been giving me good team mates and there have been very few ridiculously one sided matches. Over the past 30 days, the stats app tells me I have a 50% escape rate and that's even with me often using builds picked with a random number off my Alexa and matching it up with whatever perk they correspond with on the Nightlight list of perk usage and making a build based around it.

Wonder what could have been happening the past few weeks to take away these annoying survivors that seem to hate the game but keep playing it and then throwing the toys out when they get downed first?

The amount of people on this forum that fail to understand what these anti tunnelling changes in the form BHVR put them into the PTB would have done to the game in a negative way, is astonishing!

  • I get bored of 2v8 very quickly. Even with the boosted bp, I hadn't touched it for over 2 weeks. Killer is quite fun but playing 2 or 3 survivor games to get a killer game just put me off. No amount of bloodpoints would make me want to play survivor any length of time. A day or two was enough for me.

Good that people enjoy it but it just isn't for me. They desperately need to find a way to bring down killer queues in both 2v8 and 1v4 when the mode is active.

  • Sounds like a job for Wraith with the iri add on that shows gen progress and movement speed add on so you move quicker when cloaked.

  • The problem is 100% the yellow bottle activation speed. I played a lot of Clown a couple of years ago when the activation speed was 2.5 seconds and only the top 1% of Clown players could hope to move like he does for basically free now. It was changed to 2 seconds more recently so it should just be changed back to that or 2.25 seconds maybe, to balance out the small haste increase.

I always remember a solo queue game I played on RPD against a P100 ttv that was by far the best Clown player I've ever seen. I'd never seen someone use the yellow bottles so well. He was doing this stuff 18 months ago through the skill he'd built up playing so much clown. Now anyone can do it. Taken away any skill from the killer into a brain dead killer that anybody could pick up and zoom around with.

Just sort out the activation speed. That would sort it in a matter of seconds.

  • I can't comment on the map, I've still yet to play on it either as survivor or killer? Does it even exist?!

Maybe we get a couple of legendary skins for Glenn or Maggie or something but doubt it. Whole chapter has been a mess unfortunately.

this is so true, my partner who I introduced to dbd gave up and uninstalled it… he was facing the ghoul and clown and I felt bad for him as I could see how unfair it was.

They just need to put the activation speed back to what it was. I could count on one hand the amount of Clowns I've faced in almost 4 years before this that were good at using both bottles well together, there was a P100 TTV I played against a while back that was amazing with them, the best Clown I'd ever faced.

But now can imagine he's next to impossible for people new to the game to play against. You need pretty much perfect pathing and judgement to run him for any length of time. Something I definitely don't have after nearly 4 years so what chance do new players have?

  • @Choaron said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3985125#Comment_3985125

Well then you agree that it's not the 2% that matters, despite what OP implies. They dumbed down Clown so much that every peon can now do what above average Clowns already could mostly do for the past 2 years. Hell, could also argue that previous yellow Clown was sometimes stronger than current one thanks to Cigar Box actually being a thing.

Yeah, it's the activation speed that is the problem not the actual yellow bottles themselves.

  • @Choaron said:

He was 25% faster for the past few years before this update. Why weren't you complaining, then?

Because it used to take 2.5 and more recently 2 seconds for the yellow bottles to activate so they had to be thrown a long way ahead to be worthwhile to use. It was very rare to play against a Clown that used them well. Now though it's just brain dead no skill play with haste stacking add ons and perks. Completely killed any skill with Clown.

  • Should have kept them just for special events. They are next to useless and totally pointless now.
