Is there any other websites I could visit to check for more info
You could just search "hellraiser lawsuit." The sources I am finding are all saying that the case has been settled.

True but does not mean gotta keep saying "you're in denial" all the time.
Well, now you've given me two contradictory stances that could either mean you are in denial or are not. Hence my new stance.

Ok so how about this.
Clearly your just gonna drag this on until you wanna hear what you want so just gonna say this again finale time since kinda getting fed up.
I am not in denial.
I just think its weird/off but does not mean it is to everybody.
I can have my own opinion on the matter without people forcing me to change.
So there, now leave it alone.
You're allowed to have your own opinion. That being said, I am allowed to have the opinion that your stance doesn't make sense.

You just said that is the only thing I am denying is you saying I am denying than you also I deny Pin head.....which is it?
Cause again I am saying clues look too good to be true. Not saying "Oh clues are fake".
I know its gonna be Pin head but the clues just feel off to me though I am not in denial which you lovely keep mentioning.
If you know it's gonna be Pinhead, then you don't think it's too good to be true. You can't say "I know it's gonna be Pinhead" and also say "the clues are too good to be true." They are contradictory to each other. If you think it's the first one, then you are not in denial about that, but then you don't actually believe that the clues are too good to be true because you do agree with the conclusion they point to. If you think it's the second one, then you don't actually believe it's gonna be Pinhead and thus are in denial.

OK so how am I wrong if I deny that you are saying I am denying?
All I said was clues are just too good. Never said once that "Oh killer is not gonna be Pin Head but Fred Flintstone"
That's denial
Simple. Because that is not the only thing that you are denying. You are also denying that it's definitely gonna be Pinhead at this point. :P

Um.....I am just saying that. Not denying the evidence we have is fake I am saying just looks too good.
Kinda like finding the pepper jack cheese for a sandwich just to realize I had not bought Pepper jack Cheese in 6 months after taking a bite.
Again not denying anything, so maybe not try and not diagnose what my meaning is literally.
You're not heavily denying it, but you are denying it. :P

Not denial.
Just feels too good to be true.
[Edit] Also how the heck am I in denial if I just think it's weird. Never said who was gonna be the killer. Just said feels weird.
Saying "seems too good to be true" is pretty much what being in denial is.

Well I still just find it weird that they "accidentally" leaked the killer before ptb.
What's "weird" about it? Leaks are not an uncommon occurance, and I don't see anything about the timing or nature of this particular leak that doesn't add up compared to a typical leak.

It could be another distraction.
Another meaning.
Hellraiser isnt neccesary supposed to reffer the movies. It could be something else.
Whatever, theres no need to be mad at someone who believes something else as long as he doesnt try to force others to believe the same.
Name one other thing that this could refer to in conjunction with the actual contents of the video teaser itself.
-
@Ruma said:

They never directly lied of course but they did alot of things.
For silent hill chapter for example, they did alot of things to make us think its candyman.
For example, they made posts like ,,This weekend is gonna BEE fantastic" with Candy emojis or something like that.
So if they never directly lied, then why believe that they are lying with the leaked video file name?
-
@Ruma said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2426748#Comment_2426748
they leaked it themselfes, so yea.
I am only believing it if they offically announce it next week.
Show me where the devs have straight up lied (with intent to throw people off, not as a joke) about what the next Chapter will be and I will concede the point.

The devs provwd multiple times already that they are really good with using red herrings to distract us.
And they LOVE to fool us.
Not saying its not Hellraiser but i just dont believe it to 100%.
With a leaked video title?

I dont think they are that stupid. They did it on purpose.. I think its a massive red herring.
This is a fairly common occurence as far as accidental leaks in the gaming industry. What makes this any different other than "BUT WHAT IF"?

Why... are you parroting that? 😂 I'm not even attempting to say it can be FNaF in that post, you're either completely missed a pretty simple point or are just jacking it for the likes. And yes, clues pointed in the direction of FNaF heavily and boy were they relevant to it. That's the entire reason such clash is happening right now, but I guess people on these forums live in imaginary universe where we get this much FNaF hype every chapter, which is factually not true. This is literally the first time we get so much discussions, media attention and content regarding fnaf ever, and if you think that's becouse fans just imagine things out of nowhere... well, LoL at you.
I'd say all chances of anything other than Hellraiser died when the spectrograph thing happened, short of a massive red herring.

To be fair this was posted to the official DBD Bilibili channel so it's hardly a leak
A leak in the sense that the devs accidentally let something slip. From what I understand, we only have hard confirmation now because that platform the vid was uploaded to also shows file names.

Lol, looks like the mods know the jig is up and are just rolling with it.

But is it? It's a TV in Hellraiser....a TV. I'm sure there are a bunch of TVs in plenty of movies. The TV in Hellraiser doesn't have a VHS player and is a completely different model, they are both TVs, that's about where it ends. As much as I'd like Pinhead, this is reaching a bit.
Another thread seems to have put the final nail in the coffin for anyone doubting it's Hellraiser. Enjoy Pinhead. :P

To be fair a TV and VCR aren't exactly strong hint for Hellraiser. A strong Hellraiser teaser would be the damn puzzle box. BHVR is probably screwing with everybody, again. Look back when Chains of Hate was released, the chains were a stronger Hellraiser hint than a TV and VCR. People have been wrong about Pinhead before, there is a good chance everybody is wrong again.
And really, Pinhead deserves a massive hype teaser, more along the lines of the puzzle box. That would get people pumped up because you know a horror icon is coming. To me this trailer doesn't seem on the level Pinhead that would have.
I don't know Hellraiser, but supposedly the video teaser is a very specific reference to the first Hellraiser movie.

weird lawsuit... "The judge has now been presented with a proposed consent judgment that states that Barker will recapture U.S. rights Dec. 19, 2021. No word on which side will take foreign rights."
like... is it solved or not?
As far as I can tell, yes. It is solved.

According to this article, it seems like the lawsuit is over as of December 2020.

Remember that time they gave a bunch of Candyman hints (tweeting "this anniversary is gonna be SWEET 🍭" and all the bee stuff that they did on their Discord server just to name a few) and it ended up being Pyramid Head based on one clue that could have just as easily been a red herring? It was "obvious" that it was Candyman but it ended up not being him. Some might say it couldn't have been him because it was "too obvious" well if this chapter isn't too obvious I don't know what is
I'm not trusting anything until I see it in the game, you know they like to screw us over
Yes, but they didn't drop a video teaser showing bees and candy like they are here with the hint to Hellraiser.

I win as a Killer if less than two Survivors escape.
I win as a Survivor if 3+ Survivors escape (even if I am not one of them).

It's not bannable because BM isn't really bannable on the whole. That said, I do support adding a way to allow yourself to die more quickly while slugged to mitigate the time waste.

Well no, its the issue of stress on the killer to get kills at the cost of anything else, a killer does not feel like they are achieving anything in a chase, its just about kills so when you dont get those or get robbed by some perk, its a very unfun experience.
If we emphasize the chase more then the sacrificing it would be a more fun experience for EVERYONE involved.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2424275#Comment_2424275
Sure but why do players think this? its because of the game making such a big deal over it and hammering you over the head with it, if everyone escapes its "entity displeased" which I think could and should be adressed.
If the game makes it very clear its not about sacrificing but about winning chases and hooking then that is fine.
See it more like a capture the flag gamemode, you grab the flag, frantically fight your way through the enemy team, bring it back and then what? you just stand there? NO you run out straight away again to get another flag, thats more how DBD should be, hook and go go go, get the next hook, go go go, that would be more fun for all involved.
All you're doing then is changing the thing to stress out about, not actually making it less stressful.

just elaborate man, dont be so unintelligent.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2424251#Comment_2424251
ermm what issue is being sidestepped here? already the game rewards the parts of gameplay I mentioned, im just saying putting more emphasis on one thing over the other, but again, what are you thinking about here, what is the issue and how is it being side stepped and how do you solve it by actually fixing it?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2424256#Comment_2424256
Im at a loss for words, somehow you read this as a killer nerf or so and you want to turn this into a "us vs them" debate by just nonsensically thinking you can mirror this? you do realise this is about making killer matches more fun and less punishing/stressful right?
The issue of camping/tunneling? You're sidestepping it by changing the rest of the game to allow the problem to exist.
-
To me, that's just sidestepping the issue as opposed to tackling it head-on. You don't solve a problem by changing the game to warp it around said problem. You solve the problem by actually fixing it.
-
OP, I have some bad news. Someone definitely has a strong bias, but it ain't the devs.
-
The Dwight comment may have merit as far as harassment. The DS comment not really.
-
The games that are sadistically difficult usually don't have a theme that actively matches that, so this link doesn't really make sense to me.

I like going for 4ks. Nothin' wrong with that.

Well, the ones who don't can exploit the OPness of the Key better, then. :P

I mean I said the approach I take but sure, the amount of points should demonstrate enough I spread the love. By any means by the outcry against keys in this thread and their OPness out no counterplay though i should not have stood a chance in any of these games. But I will try to look through and see if I have any video just for you. and if not ill make sure to record next time i see a key pop up.
Results screen pics don't say much of anything because they don't demonstrate the relative skill of the players involved. And I didn't say that games against keys were unwinnable. It's possible to win against blatantly OP things if the people using them lack skill.

some of them are 2-3 gens left, its all about when you can force the bad situation with one hooked in your territory and the key carrier in your grasp
You have not demonstrated that any of these games fit the parameters that you yourself set. So try again. With video this time, in case it's not obvious. :P

very rarely lose as a killer friend, even if they did you have one slugged and one hooked its rather easy to win from there 9/10 times. We dont need to talk about how easy it is to win as a killer in general thats a different subject entirely
Show me your games where you go from 0k to 4k with 1 gen left and a Key in play.
-
@InsatiableMop said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2418519#Comment_2418519
force them to do all 5 gens in an area of the map you chose from the beginning for your 3 gen, when its coming down to the wire assuming you have someone hooked which is part of the flow of the game, slug the key holder and finish them off as they panic like lemmings trying to get him up as well as getting the person off the hook. by playing the game in a normal way you should only ever really have 1 person if that doing gens at any given time.
So your entire strategy revolves around having four people still alive with one gen left and prays that the person holding the Key didn't hide it first. Good strat for losing as a Killer.

What do you propose, then?
-
@InsatiableMop said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2417756#Comment_2417756
for a 4 man escape all 5 gens have to be done though? the only thins they don't need to do then is open the gate. Moris cut the work a killer had to do by a third and was a easy tunnel the first person hooked solution. They weren't on the same plane of existence.
Keys cut the work that needs to be done by all Survivors by 20% for each dead Survivor. Moris were no doubt stronger, but the two were still very much comparable and absolutely OP.

what, that you lack the skill to not care about a measly key?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2416155#Comment_2416155
'overpowered'
let's see:
- requires a certain number of gens to be done
- requires the players to find the hatch
so, even if they bring a hatch offering... they still have to get all these done first... which can can usually do pretty easily while you're busy chasing the keyholder.
heck, judging by the justifciation I'd say some people bring a key as distraction, and you people are falling for it. wow
Saying a Key requires a certain number of gens to be done is like saying that pre-nerf Ebony Mori required a certain number of hooks to be performed. It is a disingenuous argument either way.

All of the "wallhack" addons should have a downside similar to scratched mirror (no tier up/bloodlust) and Amanda's letter (1 trap base). Wraith's has no downside whatsoever.
I'm gonna have to disagree on Amanda's Letter on the grounds that unlike All-Seeing - Blood, the Pig moves slower while using it (and has a smaller range), meaning you can't just leave it on while you hunt for people without just losing the game. If anything, that add-on needs its downside removed.

I disapprove of it equally to Survivors DCing.

That sounds like a problem with every other game (or maybe battle passes in general).
