Oh yeah my bad let me dodge the latency hatchet the size of mars. She still zones better than Phead because she just walks up to you while you try to dodge the hatchet because its the same 50/50 of "will they commit to throwing the hatchet when they round the corner or not". Shes literally the best zoner in the game. I'd rather go against a zoning pyramid head because at that point the m2 is at least honest in its hitbox.

So you dont understand how Hitboxes work? It’s not the hatchets that are the problem, it’s the survivors hitboxes. And when they made her hitboxes smaller her kill rate which was already one of the lowest in the game, dropped EVEN LOWER.

One of the easiest killers to loop till this day and as a result most comp players rate her at B Tier and when used in comp struggle to get more than 2 hooks.

    >killer with relatively high skill floor gets overbuffed

    >people flock to an already popular character made even better

why did stats drop i wonder

That point is moot because she has been in the number two spot for 8 years straight for pick rate. And she was number one for a year straight. She has a low kill rate because something is wrong, end of story.

  • True that. No reason to hook survivors anymore honestly. All the strong perks that activate on hook for killers got gutted and survivors have a bunch of strong perks that they get for being hooked.

  • @Brimp said:

Nah. We don't need one of the best zoning killers to zone even better.

Who cares if she can zone? Pyramid Head zones better and he moves at 110 when zoning and can instantly cancel into an M1, not to mention hitting through obstacles. And while yes she can zone from further away, survivors move 23% faster than her when she is charging. If you get zoned from far away that’s on you.

I mean to be fair you probably should have lead with the killer being huntress as a few killers have pin addons. I do think she needs something still, when playing her it feels better but on certain tiles and loops it's impossible to throw or even tall short loops she struggles with because of her movement speed.

You’re right I forgot to specify that and I fixed it now, thanks 🙏 But yes I agree 100% there is an annoying amount of loops where you can’t land hatchets. Even while using shiny pin you can’t sometimes. And the new tiles on the farm maps with the super small but tall pallet walls are the worst for wind up killers.

  • @Akumakaji said:

It would help if you didn't just burst in here and stated your piece, not everyone knows every killer and their add-ons in and out, I bet most have no idea what you are even talking about.

For everyone not knowing and too lazy to look it up, its Huntress, her yello Shiny Pin add-on increases her movement speed while holding a charged hatched by 5%.

Im not sure what you’re going on about. Just made a post about how some changes are needed, not sure where you are getting all this other stuff from.

The people who know and are familiar with the add on are probably the only ones who should respond to this anyways.

  • The new tiles they implemented need to be removed. Super bad for survivors and even worse for killers who have to wind up like Wesker and Huntress.

  • I like these ideas as well, I had a few of my own.

Beast of Prey - Gain bloodlust 30% faster and become undetectable when in BL tier 1

Territorial Imperative - Gain 10% haste whenever a survivor is within 12 meters of shack/ basement

Hex: Huntress Lullaby - Added Skill check cursor moves 15% faster per token (like coulrophobia)

Added Skill check zone gets 12% smaller per token

off the record=useless because you got to be hook and if your not its no value period

sole survivor=encouraging your team to get killed off(far worst than distortion)

shadow step=yes waste 1min+ looking for a totem + then wasting another 15 seconds or so blessing it only for killer to instant snuff it with its itsy bitsy worthless 24 meter giving.

Distortion= Am not even going reply on this one

Lockers= ok it works against bbq, but it wont work on the 70+ aura reading add on or perks, am I to go all the way north from my gen to south in a locker to dodge NTH.'

Object= Yes I love to make it easier for a stealth killer like ghosty to easily can stack and then whack me with no warning.

So all these perks you list are actually rubbish.

Immediately dismissing Off The Record even though it’s literally one of the best survivor perks in the game tells me all I need to know lmao.😂

That has already been my go-to move for a while now.

Sometimes, after being repeatedly slugged for a while, it even cures the spinless player and he starts playing normally.

I can't stand people giving up.

Fair is fair, I also reward players who don't give up against me when they are obviously outclassed. (e.g. 8 hooks at 5 gens)

Honestly I definitely give up myself when I play survivor with that big of a mismatch. If it’s 8 hooks and 5 gens why even bother? There is literally zero reason to continue. When I play killer i like to back off if I’m doing too well. Blowouts are unbearably boring.

This. Adapting to BHVR's illogical and 'by the numbers' only method is really the only course. Distortion had a lot saying they'd quit. Did they?

Also gen defense is overpowered atm, imo :P

Gen defense OP? Even after it got gutted? PR is the only thing worth running for regression imo. Blocking is better but still meh.

  • @smurf said:

That's fair. I agree that a way to 'wiggle' from a mori would make it more fun, even if only when you haven't been hooked :)

In no scenario should you ever be able to fight against a mori. The mori is the the end result of you losing multiple fights throughout the match. And frankly would make zero sense lore wise. Realistically What is Sable going to do to stop Pyramid head from cutting her in half? Nothing. I could see it bring more fun but it’s only more fun for survivors.

    • Off The Record
    • Sole Survivor
    • Shadow Step
    • Distortion
    • Lockers

All of these hide you’re aura.

Object of Obsession tells you exactly what aura perks the killer has an infinite amount of times. And can only be countered by stealth killers.

You have multiple options, pick one. I like OTR because it’s 80 seconds of endurance AND aura denial AND Iron Will. Literally a catch all perk

It didn't counter entire subsection of killer perks because it has limited tokens (to replenish them you had to be in terror radius - close to killer).

hide all game with no real way to locate them

How killers played that game when BBQ + Chilli was the only good aura reading perk?

It does counter all aura perks because it tells you what perks the killer has, so you can go into a locker to save tokens or if you’re empty. Essentially meaning Distortion was infinite. Never mind the fact it got tokens in AND out of chase which is absurd because pebble and stakeout require you to be in the radius but not in chase. Which is harder to do for weaker perks.

It needed to be gutted. Glad the devs did it finally.

  • @fussy said:

Nah, we good. "Slugging problem" only in your head, especially with stupidly overbuffed WGLF.

    Somebody had to say it

  • @Lentara said:

Mori can be applied to the last survivor. There are at least two problems with this.
    1. A survivor can be killed by this toxic method even if he was never hooked. I get that you guys like killers and all that, but the game needs to smell a little bit of balance, right?
    2. You, the developers, if by some miracle you are reading this post, which I highly doubt, are literally cultivating bad sportsmanship by offering to kill the last survivor for free. Instead of encouraging a "hatch for the last surv standing" culture you're literally telling killers "dude we love that you tryhard and slug players for 4K".
    3. Thanks to you and this "wonderful" update, playing as a survivor has become even more sad, and even more so being the last one standing.

The whole mori mechanic and the whole phenomenon is toxic. How could you think that such content wouldn't be abused and used for the most vile purposes? Oh yeah, you probably thought "let the players watch a cool mini-show" but that's far from true. In fact, mori is a manifestation of pure hatred and disrespect to player. In particular, it becomes even more vile because the survivor can do nothing about it? There is not a single mechanism that would be able to protect the survivor from the toxic mori.

Mori is also OP because the killer literally gets immunity from hook sabotage, blinding and other tricks that survivors use to save their teammate. Before you make a conclusion about anything, please read the following: I play both sides and I never use mori. I even try to ignore it as much as possible in the blood web. And I don't understand how anyone can like mori, but okay, everyone has their own opinion on this matter, I'm sharing mine.

So why is mori toxic? (attention here - MY opinion)
First of all, as I said, it is simply disrespectful to the player. Yes, this is a game about killing and surviving, but not about complete control of one side (killers) over the other (survivors). Although in today's reality it is, but that is not the point. Killers can do whatever they want to survivors, which they regularly do: make them bleed for 10 minutes, give false hope and then kill them and are very proud of it, and so on. As a player for a survivor, you have no control over yourself. You are completely dependent on how good a player you got on the killer and this is not normal, this is not how the game should work in my opinion. When I play as a survivor I mostly play solo and you can imagine the level of frustration that I get after each match. Not only killers have control but also "teammates" too. They can just sell you, not unhook you, bodyblock you, and a lot of other things that you won't have control over. But I've already gone into that. The point is that giving people too much power over other people is a bad idea from the start (and let me remind you that you're not playing against soulless bots, you're playing against real people who also have emotions just like you). Those who have too much power over others start to behave disgustingly, which we see in many killer players. I won't bring up tunneling and slugging here, otherwise I could talk about it for too long. The topic here is mori and mori is toxic. You can't resist it, it's OP and just bad sportsmanship.

Possible solutions to problems: just add an offering/ability or whatever so that the survivor has a CHOICE and a CHANCE. And that's it. It's that easy and simple. Mori-enjoyers won't take the offering/ability if they want to be killed that way (people can be weird, especially in this game), and those who don't want that will finally get a chance to die normally. I personally prefer to hide in the nooks and crannies of the map and wait for myself to bleed out than to be killed by mori. But unfortunately, this does not always work.
P.S and would be ofc nice if killers can't mori last surv who don't have 2 hook stage.

You’re reading waaaay too far into a cool mechanic for finishing survivors. It’s horror game, maybe switch to a different game if you can’t handle being moried? I love to mori survivors and so do others so it’s not going anywhere.

You should be careful what you wish for. (Soon:Aura perks nerfed)

I’m not worried about the gutting aura perks. I can adapt, I’m not sure everyone else will. I can see a lot of people quitting if they do. Gen defense is so weak imo, it’s almost worthless. Gut aura reading next and killers will probably just switch to survivors or different games.

  • @Langweilig said:

    Dead perk now!

Thankfully! That perk was way overturned. No reason it should get tokens easier than the pebble perk. That’s just ridiculous

  • It needed to go. Killers ran 4 slowdowns and they got gutted a few months back. They switch to aura perks because of it. Either bring gen slowdown back or deal with aura reading.

I don't think they censored her per se, I think they just didn't completely remake her frame for the DBD Skin. Yes, in Hooked on You all the killers had larger breasts but that was the cartoon aesthetic of the game. One could say they censored Spirit too at that point, but again they didn't. They just didn't completely remake her frame to have larger breasts like the cartoon Hooked on You version.

If you watch the livestream where the skins are mentioned or the concept art post they do actually say they completely rebuilt Huntress’s model from the ground up to make her more muscular and wanted to use that in the future. Which they didn’t do for Spirit. So they definitely decided not to give her a bigger chest. Her old cosmetics use her old model and every new cosmetic uses the new model. The weird black bra is definitely censoring and completely out of place. If anyone is going without a bra, it would be her.

  • Genrushing def exists. Survivors can bring 4 perks that cover a variety of areas or they can all bring BTL, SW, Prove and SB. With a commodious toolbox and double charges. They can bring a whole build just for crushing gens like I have done with my SWF. Streetwise stacks too so you can knock out 2 gens in 80 seconds before having to use Built To Last to get your whole toolbox back for free.

Also, ever thought about why are they censoring stuff in a 18+ game?

Hell, I've seen some 16+ games just going full on micro-bikini with 0 censoring.

I know about China and some of their restrictions… But man…

I really can’t think of an actual reason why they censored it. Jane Romero has a big chest with several skins that show a LOT of cleavage. Sable Ward just got a skin that shows side boob. Skully and Spirt show literal CHEEKS and cleavage. Somebody went out of their way to censor her specifically for some reason.

This is exactly why I'm surprised they don't lean into doing more of them. What they do have you see around quite a bit. Shirtless David, Vittorio and Renato are all fairly common, the bra cosmetic from Sable, the yellow shorts for Thalita, the hooked on you huntress/spirit skins.

I'm honestly surprised they don't do more sexy outfits considering how good they must sell.

But they massively censored Huntress’s HoY skin so it can’t be considered skimpy or even remotely revealing at all.

  • The true greatest tragedy of all is Huntress’s HOY skin being nerfed from a J Cup down to a B cup and adding a weird black bra to cover non existent side bewb.

  • CoB and Overcharge definitely need buffs now that we have an 8 kick limit
