Functionally speaking, it should be relatively trivial to enable skipping moris. "Fixing teabagging at the gates" is nearly impossible since there are valid reasons for survivors to remain at the gate which are not hostile to the killer.

That’s definitely factual. But one is a much more significant than the other. They could easily make a basekit perk that blocks the gate if you crouch at it twice tho. Simple fix.

more like ~15 seconds. - And a kilelr who really doesn't like people in the exit gates can force them out quicker than that.

That’s not true at all. Often times I’ll think the survivors are going to just leave and it takes about 10 seconds alone to realize they are gonna stay at the gate like little babies. Then I gotta walk across the map to hold their hand and help them out the door.

If you want to skip moris, how bout we fix being toxic at gates first.

  • It’s like 10 seconds at most, it’s fine. The amount of times I have to walk across the map and push out tbagging survivors when I’m not playing my main is insane. They waste far more time and are toxic while doing it.

Fix that first and then we can talk about skipping Moris.

Almost no reason to hook anymore, especially after all hook repeated perks have been getting gutted more and more.

The strongest killer perks in the game at the moment are majority hook related. Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch, Pop, and Grim Embrace are all top tier perks and nasty if you bring all four.

And they have been nerfed repeatedly. They alone are probably the reason why people bother to hook anymore lol. BBQ too I guess.

  • It’s only survivor sided if the survivors are good and know what they’re doing. The vast majority of the player base is casual and therefore not good enough to win often.

Matthew Cote said it best almost a decade ago.

“At the lower levels the game is killer sided and at the higher levels it’s survivor sided.”

All you have to do is look at comp to see that. If the killer isn’t Nurse or Blight they will often be destroyed completely and survivors have an insane amount of restrictions to make it more fair for the killer.

Hasn’t changed since then. It all depends on who is playing lol.

  • Exactly how I felt about Pop considered being to easy to get. Like really? Chasing a survivor and hitting them twice is too easy? The main thing killers have to do to win is too easy?

I don't see any A tier killers get asked for buffs by their mains as much as Hag, when some of her own mains are saying she's arguably worse Trapper then you know she ain't a good killer when even her own mains don't rate her.

Also what Huntress has got to do with this discussion ? She ain't an A tier killer either anymore lol.

I just assumed you would be one of the people who adamantly believe Huntress is A or S Tier like everyone else on these forums tend to believe. So I was trying to use it as an example of a “strong” killer being asked for buffs but I guess I was mistaken.

I’ve never played against teams that have consistently wiped out my traps so I guess I can’t really say. But every time I play her it’s a 4k blowout so that’s where I get my idea from.

And phrasing it as such while ommitting the context is misleading.

No it’s literally not at all whatsoever. It got buffed. Factually. It happened. It would be misleading if it didn’t happen. It released and a weak later it got a buff. It got buffed and I said it got buffed and it factually did.

You’re wrong. That’s also a fact. Nothing misleading at all whatsoever.

Last night's stream was pretty chill, we hit our next milestone goal after 5 near 6 months of streaming had some good highlight worthy moments but then I come across this person. This person and the rest of his SwF decided to bring in a Badham map offering packed loaded with Instaheals and BNP's as they do (During an Event BTW)

Huntress is one of my 3 mains, Pig and Tiffany being the other two, I have had some really bad takes or complaints in my chat over the last few months but this one I have never ever come across before and just takes the #1 spot and probably will for a while.

I'm a Huntress player who uses a lot of Aura stuff, why? Because I love going for crazy long shots and crossmaps for highlights. Which also meant I was doing it this match as well. Throughout the match I was getting some good shots, good map pressure, quick downs etc then all of a sudden DC… DC…. DC………. DC.

They all left and I was stuck with bots, which at this point btw I feel you should be able to DC as killer and not be hit with the DC pen as I personally find bots boring and uninteresting to go against, especially while streaming. One of the SwF then decided to come to my chat to tell me that I was playing like a scumbag, I asked how? They responded with that comment you see above and a bunch of other nonsense. They quit because I'm getting long shots and "decent shots, opposed to touching noses with survivors then throwing the hatch"

    I'm sorry…. W H A T
I have never ever in the near 3k hours of me playing DBD have ever come across someone complaining about Huntress going for long shots instead of directly being on top of the survivors to then throw a hatchet at them. I just don't understand why survivor players like this keep playing DBD if at every little small micro inconvenience they come across they quit the match then at the same time find a way to twist it to blame the killer for their mindset. As the usual then then lead to the typical "you suck at killer" view rate shaming (I was on 12), typical rambling about how "killers like me ruin the experience of DBD". Got bored trying to have a discussion with them as It was all clearly in bad faith and wasn't going anywhere productive so it just lead to a chat timeout.

I get that hate all the time. People very often DC when I land orbitals or cross maps. It’s entitlement, plane and simple.

People are so cringe it’s embarrassing. People complaining I’m holding a hatchet for more than 2 seconds. Complaining that I’m landing double taps, complaint about orbitals complaining about snipes.

People DC all the time non stop, idc though. It’s a skill issue

  • We’re talking about 1 in 1,000 matches that you would escape by having to be hooked. Even if you wiggle off chances are you don’t make it to hatch or gate.

It’s not that big of a deal.

  • 99.99% of the time it’s unjustified. The amount of survivors who give up on hook after getting cross mapped by a hatchet is staggering.

Simply put survivors have there preferences and killers they don’t like to go against and have such a sense of entitlement that they refuse to play against that killer at all.

I can’t stand Legion. A very boring and awful killer. But I still play against them. Because how often do you go against them? 1 out of 15 games? 1 in 30 probably?

Honestly getting sick Pyramid Head players being allowed a free mori after hooking a survivor affected by torment and not bothering to send them to the cage. Either make torment wear off or remove his ability to mori survivor's without sending them to the cage at all

    • You can crouch walk through it and not be tormented
    • If you free someone from a cage both of you become untormented
    • It’s literally a basekit Mori that has an extra requirement so it’s not free at all
    • trails can’t be near gens or hooks or gates
    • They only last 90 seconds

Yeah, she's A tier comfortably even tho all the Hag mains are begging for buffs and some of them even think she's worse than Trapper in her current state lmao.

Like literally all the things you've mentioned over half of the current killers roster can do much better than her and that without having to set up, a set up that can be easily removed by survivors and against SWF teams with comms ? She's legit just a 110% speed M1 killer lol. Like seriously babe, you need to join us in 2024 cause the "A tier Hag' you're talking about don't exist anymore after the massive power creep she suffered.

1st of all stop calling me babe. That’s offensive. Secondly I’m allowed to have my own options and I believe she is A tier. Name a single person who doesn’t want a buff for the killer they main. Maybe Nurse mains but that’s it.

And a lot of Huntress mains said she needed the buffs she got and still needs more. So by your logic she should get more buffs.

  • This thread is s a living testament to how awful this community is. Honestly disgusting. Not everyone is privileged enough to have great internet. Some people are barley scraping by and still want to play a game they love to escape from the problems in their life.

That is really a bad take. First of all, it was already confirmed by the Devs that Discord is allowed.

But VPNing to get high Ping, because it gives advantages as Killer is really not something which should be allowed. And "protection"

is a really bad argument, since you can safely assume that most people will never be affected by anything which make them hide their actual IP. Because most players are not streamers.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3829396#Comment_3829396

This should only be a thing if BVHR can somehow figure out that a VPN is used. Which is probably not possible. Because sadly some players have to deal with high Ping because there is no Server nearby. And this is not the fault of the players, this is the fault of BHVR. And if BHVR cannot provide any Server next to a player (whether they dont want to or simply are not able to is not relevant), those players should not be excluded from the game.

(In general, Dedicated Servers were most likely a failure, because they dont really remove things which were present with P2P, but granted a whole lot of new problems)

Not true at all I have been DDos’ed several times and I don’t even stream. It is very easy to do. Not to mention they can steal your steam wallet info and card numbers if you don’t VPN. let’s be honest nobody knows how many people are using VPNs or not and speculation that it is a lot is just blatant ignorance.

I lived in an apartment for 3 years and have very bad ping. But it’s the best I could get. And with how bad the housing market is, a lot of people might be in apartments as well.

While yes Discord is allowed it is a 3rd party app that provides an arguably unfair advantage. Maybe if Bhvr could protect peoples IP address then I would say no to VPNs.

Huntress somehow became one of the most hated killers in community after last buff, so you won't find support to it. It's not like I heard at least one strong argument why she shouldn't have other QoL buffs, but people adore to overreact to her after last buff.
I don't know why Slinger "allowed" to have 3,74 and Huntress can't have even 3,28, when Slinger will destroy you in most loops, where you are completely safe against Huntress, and outclass her in zoning. I don't know why Nemi "allowed" have 4,0 with way stronger antiloop and being 4,6. Idk why PH with 4,4 in m2, denying every your move and hit you through everything, is fine for community and Huntress 3,28 is OP CANT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST IT SO BUSTED.
I mean, I know a reason behind this hate – her hitboxes, which feel completely off and unfair, and I agree with it. My dream changes for Huntress are: make her camping significantly weaker, make her hitboxes smaller and buff her chase by a mile.

Exactly right. I never once heard a good argument against it either. And don’t forget tricksters moves at 96% with knives and 99% with two add ons. Yes he does have to land 8 knives but still he loses zero distance essentially. Not to mention having a main event which is insane as well.

And It’s not even her Hitboxes that are the issue it’s the survivors hitbox not following their model at all and lagging an entire model width behind. On top of it not bending over to follow the lean when running.

When they reduced her Hitboxes last time you would actually have hatchets go through the models torso at certain angles and not be a hit. If they fixed the survivors hitbox to match their model it would be a non issue but they won’t.

given the timeline calling that a buff is misleading. It's what should have happened after thr ptb already; it's a slight number tweak to the nerf. turning it from distortion being absolutely obliterated into nerfed.

It is for a fact a buff though and can not be argued with at all. They halved its token regen time after the PTB.

  • If you know what you are doing she is A tier easily. The Queen of camping hook and gens and good at anti loop. Maybe you could put her at the top of B for being 110% when she shouldn’t be but I’d say A comfortably.

That’s the biggest stretch I’ve ever heard. You getting hit a few times a day when you shouldn’t have is not even close to cheating. And you can definitely still play the game normally. Don’t act like you haven’t gotten pallet stuns when you shouldn’t have or vaults without hits you shouldn’t have either. Getting flashlight saves you had no business getting either.

    It works both ways.

Should survivors be allowed to use Discord, which gives them gameplay advantages?

People VPN because Bhvr can’t protect your IP address. It’s well known that several big streamers have been ddos’es and doxed and now use VPNs. So yes they should be able to play.

Stop crying and play the game. Unfair things happen in every single game ever, this is nothing new.

  • IMG_5503.jpeg

All the top tier killers have very high mobility imo. With the exception of Pp head and Plague. Plague has hella slowdown basekit with survivors being insta down able always. Pp head dodges all strong survivor posts with cages and makes tunneling impossibly easy.

Both the original ptb finisher mori and base kit unbreakable were terrible ideas. You could see that from the 90 seconds of took some killers to slug all 4 survivors and auto-win the game: that version of finished Mori was busted.

I'm not sure why you jumped on base kit unbreakable though, since OP said nothing about that whatsoever. He didn't define what "mechanic" would fix it, and honestly I'm not sure either.

Reworking hatch and letting survivors speed up the bleed out are long overdue either way.

Basekit unbreakable was the only slugging fix that was ever implemented and complained about. So they were for a fact talking about that. Basekit unbreakable was 45 seconds too which was too strong.

I agree speeding up bleed out should have been a thing forever ago. Gears Of War did that back in 2006 because they thought 10 seconds was too long and it also speed up your crawling. I’m not sure how you would rework hatch though.

Do you even play Wesker? The amount of times you brush right past a Survivor or even bounce off them would be funny if it wasn't super infuriating.

Exactly that. Used to play him for awhile, but it gets way too frustrating colliding with survivors and ricocheting off of them.

  • I’ll get hate for this but OTR is insanely overpowered. Iron Will, Distortion, and a second life that can be used after being fully healed to body block for another survivor. It’s duration should be reduced to 60 seconds.

  • @TheDavidKingMain said:

This issue has gotten 10x worse this past patch, because for some reason the devs think that killers need moris basekit. Now every match is just killers slugging people out instead of hooking so they can get the mori.

There needs to be a base mechanic to address this. Funnily enough, they were going to do this alongside the original basekit mori, but forum killers complained and complained and so the devs had to roll it back. Typical.

    Come on, devs.

Survivors equally complained about the finisher Mori so much (and for some good reasons) so they scrapped both the Mori and basekit UB.

Basekit Unbreakable as it is NOT needed and would be way overturned. Maybe an UB that was 90 seconds and gave endurance and a speed boost would be good.

  • What server are you guys on? I’m on NA East 11pm to 3 am and 10 am to 2 pm roughly.

I probably see tunneling in 1 of every 10 matches and slugging for more than 20 seconds in 1 of every 20 matches.

Full team slugs is about one in every 200 matches. Is gotta be a region issue.

    • Clown can reload mid chase
    • Not worried about locker
    • Clown is 115%
    • Clown moves at 115% while throwing
    • Haste bottles
    • Hinder bottles

I don’t think a bottle or two more would be too bad but he has reason for having less.

  • We just need more perks that activate on hook that are actually viable and not trash.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

After hooking a survivor, every survivor screams revealing their aura for 18 seconds. Every gen loses 15% of its total progress, survivors will have 45 seconds of mangled after being unhooked and survivors only have 15 seconds to pull their teammate off the hook until phase 2 hits.

I’d love this, thank you. 😅🤣🤪🥸

Way too weak, you gotta pump those numbers up. Aura reveal to 60 seconds and all gens explode for 200% meaning they would have to be repaired for 110% to stop regressing. Then each unique hook spawns a new generator that has to be repaired. Then the game MIGHT be balanced.

  • I can wrap up a chase quick, hook the survivor and start chasing the another one while one goes for the save. But now they just stick gens and pop them and leisurely go grab the save anyways. Timer increase was ridiculous and unnecessary. Combined with reassurance is brutal. Almost 2 minute hook stages.

He is good at zoning, indeed probably the best, as many survivors dont take vaults for fear of getting hit, thats right, but the projectile attack is narrow enough that good survivors can sidestep it, especially since Pyramid Head has to lock down for a moment. I have seen survivors hug the smallest of openings in the most mindboggling "surefire hit" situations or just evade to the side in the last possible couple of frames after a vault - the Punishment of the Damned has a traveltime and isn't instantly and many know how to work around its limitations.

But when you travel with the sword in the ground, you can NOT (100000000%) instantly cancel into an M1, that takes a full whole second. You CAN bodyblock a pallet while doing this and I have seen countless survivors try to stun me while I recover from me sword pull and hit them afterwards, but its far, far from instantly.

You’re right I just looked it up, it’s 1 second to start dragging and 1 second to cancel. I guess it just seems faster since he basically loses no speed at all and his animation is just picking the sword up. His canceling animation is also very subtle from the survivor sided compared to Huntress lowering her hatchet and it clicking into its loop which is why I thought it was faster.

And despite what people say you can dodge hatchets too. Especially crouching a window which can NOT be done against Pp head. Plus he has infinite ammo and doesn’t worry about collision at all. Definitely harder to hit but he has a lot of other things going for him like cages which entirely shut down so many perks.

All of that to say Huntress moving at 82% instead of 77% would be fine and not overpowered even remotely. She would still be the slowest by far 10% roughly. And she is still a 110% killer.

Your talking about stats, I'm talking about actual gameplay when it comes down to maps and how strong Huntress actually is. I know I'm not wrong, but you can continue to believe your wrong opinion.

I can’t help but noticed you didn’t answer if you play her or not. If you haven’t then you don’t really have a say on how she is since you only know one side. I have played against some oppressive Huntress’s who were insane but those are few and far between. The vast majority were easily beaten 2-3 man out on average.

As a result I know for a fact she is weaker and is only good when a plethora of hours are sunk into the killer. Not to mention that the oppressive Huntress’s had to slug to maintain pressure.

If you don’t play her, don’t respond please🙏

Instant cancel into the M1? What version of Pyramid Head are you playing? Putting that giant sword down is slow as molasses and takes 1s .. I think the same as for the Huntress to raise and lower her hatchets.

Pyramid Head is REALLY clunky, during his PTB he apparently played really smooth and responsive, but since then they made his sword feel really stuck in the earth and jittering around.

I’m talking about when you are already dragging your sword. You can instantly cancel into an M1. So you can drag your sword while holding your ranged attack moving at 110% completely shutting down a pallet or window entirely. And then instantly M1 with no downside whatsoever.

The best zoning killer in the game and it’s not even close.

    Re-read this.

"Do you think it’s fair that a killer who is often stated to have a low kill rate because she has high skill expression, can’t actually express 75% of her skill because certain maps? Indoor maps means no snipes, no orbitals, and being forced to zone."

The issue isn't Huntress herself, it's the indoor maps. If we buff her just because of them, then picture how even more miserable she'll be to deal with, outdoor maps are already good enough for her, especially if the player is skilled at playing her. Besides, map offerings exists, and there's so many outdoor maps compared to indoor ones.

Also, If you don't manage to get a down while you have 7 hatchets, I don't know what to tell you, we don't need to be buffing her any further, she's fine where she is.

Except you’re wrong because the devs say so. And I don’t know what to tell you but Otzdarava missed all seven hatchets a couple of times recently 😂 Have you played her ever? Or are you survivor only?

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3828364#Comment_3828364

I agree that it's unfortunate how bad she can be sometimes on indoor maps, but there's nothing you can do to make Huntress good on indoor maps that wouldn't make her extremely oppressive on most of the other maps. Singularity has a similar problem.

Basekit Shiny Pin would not be oppressive at all and would help a lot on indoor maps. Still can’t express much skill on those maps but would be nice Qol change for such a slow killer.

Shiny pin has such a high pick rate because she feels miserable to play without it. She’s already 110% she could stand to be faster when charging. We have 115% killers who have an insatdown weapon that they move at 92% when charging.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3828342#Comment_3828342

60% is fine for most killers but if a killer has a higher skill ceiling than average (which is true for Huntress) it's okay if the kill rate is a little lower, that doesn't mean she isn't strong in the right hands.

If we were forcing all killers to be at 60% then by that logic Nurse would need a buff since her killrates have historically been lower than that and we all know that she doesn't.

Except you can’t use 75% of her skill ceiling on indoor maps can you? No snipes. No orbitals. No shots past 16 meters generally. Forced to zone. Not to mention maps with an insane amount of clutter.

Nurse doesn’t need a buff because she has a 62% kill rate at high MMR and only has a low kill rate at low MMR. Proving the fact that she has a high skill ceiling and is good when you learn her.

Huntress on the other hand has a low kill rate at low MMR AND High MMR. If we don’t use an objective number to balance killers then why buff Freddy or Mikey? Some people tell me those killers are fine and need no changes. But the numbers say otherwise.

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3828342#Comment_3828342

Welp, we might as well give her 600 hatchets and Iri Head base kit to make her kill rate go up to 100% since the people who refuse to learn how to master her can't even win.

But what do I know since "I'm not a dev." Huntress is totally weak and should receive even more buffs even though shes an A tier killer. We might as well nerf Pig while were at it also.

Now you’re just being disingenuous. If the goal is 60% and the killer is not at that goal what do you do? She’s a good killer already by a small Qol change would be nice for a killer who is at a heavy disadvantage on a lot of maps because poor collision and indoor maps and so on.

Do you think it’s fair that a killer who is often stated to have a low kill rate because she has high skill expression, can’t actually express 75% of her skill because certain maps? Indoor maps means no snipes, no orbitals, and being forced to zone.

If you look at it objectively, something is wrong. And Shiny Pin basekit wouldn’t be overpowered. It honestly probably would only boost her kill rate by a point or two at most.

She received unnecessary buffs before, and you are really asking for more?

    Nice bait.

Again. They want 60% kill rates for all killers and hers is 56% and dropping. She needs a buff!

    No thanks.

We should not be buffing zoning and she already got a buff that she didn't deserve, she doesn't need another one

Welp you’re not a dev. They want 60% kill rates for all killers and hers is 56% and dropping. Ifsofacto she needs a buff! 👍

please re-read my comment, i have not mentioned the killrate which has always been low due to how high huntress' skill floor is compared to other popular killer.

it doesnt mean the killrate cant go even lower with her random buffs attracting more people to try her out.

Even after the buffs her pick rate hasn’t changed much (it’s actually gone down slightly) so that point doesn’t hold up. Her kill rate is low because she is just not that good against good survivors. She has a low kill rate at high MMR as well.

Now I'm for sure with you on fixing collision. Like every single leaf blade of both goj variants have collision but entire trees on some maps have nothing not to mention all the invisible walls. I like shiny as an addon TBH and not base kit. I don't think they need to make her easier but that's just me. While I do hate the long loops which I can't mind and have to M1 it doesn't bother me as much. I mean most of our downs come from the unexpected and not necessarily the chase. She did get some love not to long ago and I'm grateful for it. Making shiny base kit would literally be giving her a very very good addon base kit with no downside what so ever and effectively freeing up an addon slot to make her even more deadly. Don't get me wrong I would love it but I also know this player base and I would rather not see her reworked a hundred times and wind up in the garbage. Ive learned to live with the little things as things can be much worse looking at you Freddy, skully soon to be Myers Chucky and Drac.

I see where you’re coming from. I just don’t like the fact a killer who was made so slow for the sole reason of “Using her power more” and not because she would be overpowered isn’t able to use their power about 15% of the time.

I would rather not be forced to M1 ever and I feel like you should always have an opportunity to use a hatchet. But instead they’re are times where you are forced to M1 and good survivors make it happen even more.

very convenient to look at her "placement" than the actual pickrate number

I’m not sure what you’re on about, I mentioned both. She has had the highest pick rate for 8 years and one of the lowest kill rates for 6 years.

Sorry my brother in the fog but she's actually in a decent spot. She's insanely good if you reach the top part of her skill ceiling, and meh if you stay around the middle. Her kill rate is tanked simply because people see she's easy or get starstruck by the idea of hitting orbtials and really cool shots and then realize the amount of work it takes to actually get that good. It isn't because she isn't good. She is in fact the absolute best ranged and zoning killer at the top of her skill ceiling.

I say this as a P100 huntress with around 1200 hours and didn't run a single perk aside from iron maiden as well as never using aura on my way to p100, and now I don't even use perks at all and still haven't touched aura reading either.

I never said she’s not in a decent spot but some Qol would be nice. I am P100 as well with 4,000 hours and I’m sure you know how frustrating it can be being a 110% killer that is forced to M1 on certain loops. Shiny Pin has one of the highest pick rates for a reason. Not to mention terrible maps and object collision.
