  • Only high MMR 4man SWFs have a big difference in survival rate compared to Solos and even then it's still under 50%.

My game (PC) lags hard during the 'initializing shaders' phase when booting the game. Granted, my rig is 10 years old but at most I got a mild stutter. Now, I prepare myself for a crash. I also believe that phase is mildly longer than before.

Same for me and that phase alone took maybe 2 minutes to complete, I expected it to crash.

No, it was indeed to avoid people getting hold hostage. Hatch Standoffs were removed with the ability to close the Hatch. But since then the Killer would have to find the Survivor to end the match, EGC was also introduced so that it is sure that the match will end after the Hatch is closed.

Same with Gates. Before Survivors would just open the Gates, but there was no need for them to actually leave, so the timer makes it sure that they have to leave after at max. 4 minutes, most likely earlier. Otherwise they could still stealth around and keep the Killer in the game.

Both problems were solved at the same time and IMO their solution was very good.

    @Topic:

As others have said, the sole purpose of EGC is that the game comes to an end. And this works completely fine. EGC is already killer-sided, but it was not created to give the Killer more pressure or Kills. Just to end the game. And in the end, the Killer also got the ability to open the Exit Gates as well, so if they want the timer to start, they can do it themselves.

I see what you mean but that makes hatch standoffs still kinda the starting point for the egc changes (in combination with the gate situation).

The point of my original answer was also more that the situation that lead to the introduction of the egc was not uncommon.

  • @GeneralV said:

To be fair, the EGC wasn't created to actually give the killer kills or put extra pressure on the survivors. It was created to force trials to end, because supposedly there were several reports of players holding the game hostage.

In my experience players holding the game hostage didn't happen often, and if the situation really needed to be fixed I believe it should have done differently. But the EGC does exactly what it was created to do.

I think it was less because of people holding the hostage and more because of hatch standoffs, and those weren't uncommon in my experience.

  • That would suck for the three people that play second wind.

  • Little bit of topping but I think the aggressive ds survivors are probably trying to do the "stun the Killer to steal blood"- Challenge.

  • @GentlemanFridge said:

It does laughably little against specific killers. Precisely those who excell at tunnelling.

That is my experience with the new ds aswell. I've used it after the nerf and it was fine against a Plague or a Clown (Clown didn't use the bottles), but useless against Nurse or Blight so I switched to otr.

Oh god, no that is very different.

Are you really equating systems in place to allow people with an inability to play something due to unchangeable physical limitation to those whom are simply unwilling to learn something they are completely capable of learning simply because there isn't a tutorial.

Those are two very different things.

To equate them in any way is to insult people who genuinely need those tools. Mindfulness sometimes backfires when thoughtlessly used as a weapon in an unrelated discussion.

To the quoted response at hand, which is my being "disingenuous" by offering up options for someone to learn map layout within the current tools available.

I'm guessing that the person in question doesn't really know what disingenuous means. Which is evident from their reply.

So I stand by my point that its possible to learn map layout playing killer in custom games and its the only option at the moment. So if they want to learn map layout then play some killer in custom games. If they need a 3rd person view then Chucky is currently the only option for them. If they don't want to buy chucky then yeah that sucks but its what they have to work with... a point that is simply pragmatic and in no way disingenuous.

As evidenced in the reply below. I didn't saying anything about skill all I did was point out the tools currently available to do what they wanted which was learn map layout.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3671817#Comment_3671817

If the point is that "there is no excuse for there to be no custom game mode to practice as survivor" then well.... Tutorials are a convenience not a necessity.

To me your “there was a time when games had no tutorials and not even any manuals and we all got along fine" - comment sounds like "it was worse in the past so you shouldn't complain about the supoptimal situation now".

I didn't say that you are disingenuous but ignoring the lack of tutorials in the skill discussion is. Generally I would agree that most dbd players are not that great but I do think that the lackluster tutorial and training options are part of the problem. My translator app translates disingenuous with a word that fits what I'm trying to say and with words that are a lot harsher (and imply mean intent) so it was probably not the right word to use in this context but I didn't found a different one quickly.

Again, I didn't want to call you disingenuous, but to me you seem not very understanding, because someone told you that the Tutorial options aren't good enough and you are like "Well, it is what it is, use some inconvenient workaround and stop complaining". Also, I don't think learning map layout was the main problem for the person you originally replied to, but I might be projecting there.

From my experience tutorials are included in newer games, I get that that was different in the past, but expectations change and coupled with the fact that the Devs already promised custom survivor only games I think I'm not unfair in my disappointment that they are still not available.

Also, I did start dbd before there was a tutorial. For me it was not a fun experience as Killer or Survivor, without more experienced friends I would have dropped the game.

Because it’s not really a necessary feature it’s a convenience so inevitably you have to work within the limits of what you have and what’s available.

Sure, it's just convenience, but it would make practicing easier, so I think it is disingenuous to complain about lack of skill without acknowledging the lack of a good tutorial/practicing options.

Also, when they released bots for custom, they said that Killer Bots would come later. That was November 2022. The Trapper Bot is already in the Tutorial, why not add him to custom atleast? I would be fine with an option where the Killer just stands in a corner aswell, but after more than a year there hasn't been any update, so I'm not super optimistic at the moment.

Try it as chucky if wanting the 3P view.

The spatial awareness is a lil different but the maps are the same.

Chucky is a licensed Killer, as a survivor main I'm not willing to spend real money just because I want to be able to play custom in third person.

I'm sure you're only trying to be helpful but there is really no excuse that such a basic feature is still missing after almost 8 years.

For me, there are still plenty of perks which do offer a meaningful impact on gameplay, even if they are not considered useful all the time. Some are better than others, but as a randomizer I can say some perks have been especially useful, even though they would be deemed "weak".

The main point at hand anyway I'm focused on is about some people relying too much on perks - far more than on learning to play. Whether this is down to experience, not knowing where to get useful tips, or something else, varies. If more people focused on the basics and also - on occasion - their reslience, SoloQ would be better to handle. Those people do have to accept their part in the experience.

You still can't practice survivor in custom matches, only in training and that's only one Killer (and the Trapper bot was really bad the Last time I tried training) and one map.

Sure, that's why I say it's nice, it's convenient when you have it. I'm not that good either, and I don't know all the pallet spawns by heart- you just don't need WoO to keep an eye on nearby resources between chases.

I'm not bashing anyone that brings WoO, that's not my point. In fact, there being reasons people might want to bring Woo that aren't related to its strength only proves my point, that people will bring perks for reasons other than strength and, therefore, it's only fair to say that the perks people don't bring may very well be perfectly strong.

When someone says "Nobody runs that perk" to dismiss me saying that the perk is good, it becomes relevant that strength isn't always the driving force of pickrate, and Windows is the perfect example. That perk is far and away not the strongest perk in the game, but it does have the highest pickrate. That's for reasons beyond just pure strength... so the inverse is true as well, some perks have a low pickrate for reasons that aren't just a lack of strength.

I did not take your comment as a bash to WoO players. Personally, I don't play it for convenience but for strength because I do a lot better with it and I do think that that i s true for other WoO-players aswell.

Not sure if I would call WoO the best survivor perk but for me it is certainly up there, because it enables me to play in a way I can't do without it. And that might be because it helps me with things I struggle with that aren't an issue for other players, but I don't think I'm the only one with these problems.

I don't think that strength is the only reason why some perks are played and some aren't but I do think it is the strongest predictor for a high pick rate. Distortion is the 10th most picked perk in nightlight, We'll make it is the 14th, botany knowledge ist the 18th, alert and empathy are 30 and 31. Lucky Break and overcome are 61 and 63, not quite as high but still in the upper half. The only perk from your list in the lower half is troubleshooter, so for the most part people are using the perks that you named as examples of good perks.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3654416#Comment_3654416

I don't have hard numbers on any of the pickrates, but I can definitely name perks better than WoO that aren't on the official top ten list- and everything on that top ten list, too, every perk on that list (save for Self Care, actually) is better than WoO.

But for a couple others, we'd have Botany Knowledge, Overcome, Lucky Break, We'll Make It, Alert, Distortion.

For just aura perks that are stronger, we'd have Alert, Empathy, and Troubleshooter just off the top of my head.

It's not a high bar - any perk that actually does something beneficial is gonna be better than WoO.

I've seen the "WoO is not that great"-take before and to me it feels like a somewhat "arrogant" take coming from good players. As a very mediocre player for me WoO makes a huge difference in my performance in chase.

Especially on the newer maps I don't know all possible pallet spawns so WoO helps me a lot, of course more experienced players will know the spawns anyway. Same thing with pathing in chase, good players can loop the Killer and still plan a good path I can't (I remember a situation when my bf watched me play and told me "you could have taken the window there" when I didn't even register the window).

What I'm trying to say is that I think, that good players underestimate the usefulness of WoO, because they don't need it to do well, which isn't necessarily true for weaker players.

I do like some of the perks you mentioned though, overcome for example, but if you're getting tunneled it's a one time use, so in this situation I would get more value from WoO. Alert and troubleshooter are nice aswell, but I would probably get the most value out of them If I combined them with WoO.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3654216#Comment_3654216

WoO is a "fine" perk. It's nice, it's convenient when you have it, but it offers very little that you can't get without it.

It's not bad by any stretch, but it has the highest pickrate when it isn't even approaching the best in its class, let alone overall. It's a very average-strength aura perk.

My point in invoking it is that there are perks massively stronger than WoO that nobody runs. Pickrate isn't a proxy for strength, because strength isn't the only reason people bring perks.

Do you have examples of perks with a lower pickrate than WoO that are better?

  • @jesterkind said:

Light-Footed has two restrictions because of how powerful its effect is. Silent running is very strong, people underrate how important audio tracking is for killers.

Killers see Chemical Trap so that you can actually play around it. There are a fair number of loops where the killer refusing to break the pallet makes the loop stronger, and Chemical Trap puts them in a lose/lose scenario at those loops. Doesn't have to be a god loop, just a safe one.

Troubleshooter is a good perk because it shows you the killer's aura and lets you avoid running the killer to your teammates in chase.

Champion of Light is a strong perk, yeah. I actually have seen people running it, but that's anecdotal and irrelevant- there's a big difference between "nobody runs this perk" and "this perk is bad".

People gotta stop comparing Illumination to Deja Vu, they have different niches. The boon is a nice support boon for boon builds/Overzealous, and it's nice to see the whole gen spread without downsides like Visionary. Easily the weakest, but still nice. As for Deadline, it is a little hampered by the injured requirement, but the strength is still quite high when it's active.

Whether people run then is wildly different to whether they're good, as evidenced by all the good perks people aren't running and the kinda bad ones people are running, like Windows of Opportunity.

    WoO is a bad perk?

  • "killer bodyblocking a survivor in a corner while there are still other survivors is not holding the game hostage, because the other survivors can still progress the game (e.g. do remaining gens, open gate, or blind the killer so the trapped survivor can escape)."

I don't feel like searching for the screenshot in the moment but the mods said, that this szenario ist bannable, because the Killer prevents the blocked player from playing the game, regardless of the actions of the other survivors.

(Oxygen already said that, I missed it)

I can’t say that they don’t mean anything significant. It’s not perfect data (which is near impossible to obtain) but 1,000 more than accounts for statistical deviations. 100 is actually the minimum number.

The number ist fine, but the sample might not be representative for the whole dbd survivor community because of the way it was collected.

It seems like Killa Whale collected answers over the YouTube community tab and the survey was in english, so I would assume that most participants are probably based in North America or Europe.

Also, people who play dbd very casually might not interact with dbd content, so the sample might be biased towards more serious dbd players.

I obviously don't know if this matters, but as far as I know, playstyle and Meta builds can vary between regions, so I think it is not implausible that opinions about Killers might vary aswell

The link to the stats goes to the homepage now, but here's a dev talking about it from last year. It's actually "up to 15%", not average of 15% as the person you quoted is claiming. Peanits says most swf escape rates are on par with solo so doesn't seem to have changed much since those 2019 stats. @C3Tooth did the math for me during a similar conversation and I believe if the average survivor escape rate is 39% (per the devs post 6.1 update stats) then the average solo escape rate would be around 32%.

    Thank you.

So the difference between solo and swf is dependent on the skill of the group and the number of players in the group?

    Good to know.

Your comment made me look up the last cheater I reported (Prestige 76 with 12 hours on steam, so that should have been easy). Still not banned but has multiple comments calling them a cheater aswell.

  • @H2H said:

Being in a SWF gives you an average 15% greater chance to escape, per BHVR’s own stats. It’s not an imaginary problem. I don’t know what the solution is, but let’s stop pretending like it’s just bad killers making excuses.

Can you link your source for that?

The only stats on swf survival rate that I have seen were released in 2019, so kinda old.

But back then the difference was only about 8% between a full 4man and solo, and even lower for Trios and Duos.

Nah, this is stupid. Did none of you play sports growing up? you always said good game to every other player on the opposite team, whether you won or not. It's good sportsmanship. If they can't take it that way, that's a them problem. I'm going to say gg even if I win because--wow--I was actually taught to be a good sport.

The difference is that in real life you can read your opponents facial expression and their tone of voice, so you know that it is a genuine expression of good sportmanship.

I struggle to see a "gg" from an insidious basement bubba (I know, not possible anymore, it's just an example) as anything other than a provocation, trying to bait reactions like "a camping bubba ist not a good game". Obviously I just ignore those messages, answering a provocation is a waste of time, but I do not percieve them as genuine sportsmanship.

Also, here is an example that not everybody means it in a positive way:

    Screenshot_20210304-155046-01.jpeg

Not every sport is competitive and/or team based btw.

That it's not appreciated nearly enough to keep this self detrimental playstyle up.

Even if they don't do it for the feedback, it will eventually mentally drain the nice mindset out of most killer players.

And then many people come on the forums, make comments on profiles and in end game chat and complain about the lack of friendly/fair playing killers.

And to those people I ask, "do you make the killer that do play that way feel appreciated?"

I personally gave GG's and nice comments exclusively after games where there was no tagging, sweat gameplay, flashlight goblins and the like.

But it is the same way for survivors, isn't it? Your chances of survival are a lot higher with an swf stacking meta perks, strong items and map offerings. And while I do think that teabagging is a dick move, it can be used to bait a killer to take a bad chase.

I am a rather chill survivor, but it doesn't seem like Killers treat me differently and in my experience bringing weaker stuff can raise your chance of being tunneld out, so in this case being "nice" is detrimental for survivors aswell.

I think playing "nice" in dbd is something that you have to do for yourself, expecting the other side to acknowledge it in any way will only lead to dissapointment.

  • As survivor, do you have to release the haunt or is enough if the Killer runs into a haunt that was released by a different survivor?

That being said it never happened when I play survivor ... but I seldom "win" as survivor.

I only crashed as survivor, but I also only played survivor recently. I'm not saying that it ist totally unbelievable that your crashes could have been due to cheaters, that wouldn't be a new thing after all, but there seem to be server issues aswell:

  • I think it might just be the game, atleast for me it seems to crash more in the last days. Yesterday it crashed right as I was being deathhooked, must have looked weird from the Killer's perspective.

    Your claim

Yes, the Devs did say they would change it back, but they did not for years so there was probably a reason for it, maybe the, thought the other changes that came with the original nerf to 3 seconds were enough and/or they were happy with the ds's performance an 5s.

Implies that you think that the devs not changing something, mean that there are good reasons for it. Thus, by definition, you must also think that, because the devs haven't changed blight in a long time, then they are probably happy with the performance of blight, and he is fine.

No, I think that there can be multiple explanations why the Devs do not change something despite claiming they want to change it: They could have changed their mind (for good or bad reasons), they could struggle to find good solutions for it or they could just be slow with it/see it as a lower priority. Since reverting the stun time should be an easy change I don't the latter explanations apply here, but I never said that their reason to change their mind was good, I just meant that I believe there was a reason. Again, I think they should have communicated their reason, without communication it is hard to judge if their reason was good or not.

Since you bought up Blight: If the Devs had said after Bilght's release that they want to nerf him because his killrate is too high (not saying it is, just an example) but then didn't do it for a long time (because they can be very slow with balance updates) and released survivor buffs in the mean time that made his killrate drop, I think it would be wrong to insist on a nerf just because they said so at a different time under different circumstances.

What I'm trying to say is that when a change is delayed for any reason altered circumstances can make the original proposed change a bad idea.

Of course ds is not such a clear cut example like killrates. I think you could find arguments for both sides in this case.

Personally I think that the 3s stun is too weak against Killers like Nurse and Blight (who wasn't even in the game before ds had a 5s stun, so one example for changed circumstances), also ds works only once while otr works twice and has secondary effects, so for me there is no good reason to use ds over otr in the moment.

"...  that, because the devs haven't changed blight in a long time, then they are probably happy with the performance of blight, and he is fine."

I think you are probably right, if the Devs really thought that Blight is a big problem I would have expected changes sooner. Obviously my personal opinion can differ from theirs.

The devs haven't changed blight since nearly release, so i guess he is fine too?

    Where did I say that?

As I said it can be quite annoying when the Devs change their mind on things that they announced and I do think it is fair as player to complain about a broken promise and in this case I can't understand why they did not just communicate their reasons. But I also thing "the Devs said something years ago" is a weak argument, because after such a long time many things changed so it is not the same situation anymore.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3537372#Comment_3537372

DS was always 3 seconds for a very long time. But it was affected by enduring. Then it was buffed to 5 seconds, with the intent that, when enduring was reworked, it would get nerfed back down to 3. But it never got nerfed to 3.

The problem isn't that it was "nerfed" the problem is that the original bargain was never completed until it was put back to 3 seconds.

Ds was 4 seconds long for the most time (and stunned the Killer for about 4.5s because of a bug according to the wiki), the duration was nerfed in 2.6.0 and buffed again in 2.6.3 so there was only a short period of time where the stun time was 3s and affected by enduring.

Yes, the Devs did say they would change it back, but they did not for years so there was probably a reason for it, maybe the, thought the other changes that came with the original nerf to 3 seconds were enough and/or they were happy with the ds's performance an 5s. That was also not the first time that the Devs said something and did something else, and while that can certainly be annoying, it is also their right as Devs, so I find it weird that people insist that the stun must be 3s because the Devs said so 4 years ago.

i don't think it's reportable, even if they trapped you in a corner as long as there is still another teammate in the match so it is end-able or whatever. i'd just wait in the center of the map and afk so the killer can take their sweet time looking for the rat, personally.

No, blocking a survivor in a corner for an extented time period is bannable, even if there are still other survivors alive (unless EGC is already active).

Does this classify as holding a game hostage?

Got downed by the killer and the last survivor hid while the killer looked for them. 3 gens to go and it was just the two of us both on death hook so game was over. Just before I bled out, the killer picked me back up and let me struggle off then stood there looking around in a circle and swinging at me. Then they started following me, obviously wanting me to tell them where the last survivor was. Obviously I didn't, not least because I don't do that but also because that would be considered working with the killer, which is against the rules.

I just kept shaking my head at them so they kept going off on their own to search and I kept jumping on a gen. They'd come, hit the gen until I'd get off, then shake their head and body block me from getting back on, then they'd leave once i walked away from the gen. This went on repeatedly until I got two gens done. Then I stood under a hook pointing at it but they kept shaking their head and wouldn't hook me. Eventually the other survivor came out of hiding and got downed, then I got grabbed off the last gen and finally hooked.

I know the general consensus is that it's fine to slug/whatever for the 4k, but trying to block me from gens and refusing to down or hook etc, and just wanting me to help them look? I know some people will believe the other survivor is equally at fault for hiding, but I feel like that's between the killer and that survivor, and the killer can report them if they like. I'm just referring to what the killer did to me. I did manage to progress the game obviously by slowly getting a couple gens done, hence why I'm not sure if it counts as hostage taking. Thanks

Mandy said it is against the rules to force somebody to farm, so in my opinion this situation should be reportable aswell, but I'm not sure if the mods have the same opinion, so it would be great, if a mod could comment on it.

It really sucks that the games rules are unclear for some situations.

Its 1p.m. and I have +25% on survivor. This is normal stuff in the last weeks. In about 2 hours, it stays on killer for the rest of the day.

Well... Killers are underperforming (few exceptions) since Made for this, as you can see in the Nightlight-Community-Stats with an average killrate of 52%, which is a 2K. Only 2 killers can reach 60%+, which is what BHVR wanted... average 60%.

Even with old deadhard and the Boon-Era, Killers were stronger than right now. I assume this was the case because survivors ran to their Circle of Healing frequently while they stick at gens in the current meta. Healing is out, Chests are worthless, because you get items en masse thanks to the huge grind reduction and Totems arent worth anything anymore.

This ends up in even faster gens (5-6min-Games are no exception anymore) and in more frustration on both sides, cause its just boring. BHVR need to adress this Gen-Tunneling vs. Kill-Tunneling at all.

It's weekend though so more people are home, so it makes sense that more people are playing survivor if you are using Annso_x's explanation.

Well they were not happy with the 53% range, which led to the whole killer buff across the board. But are happy with the 59-61% range. Since there have been no changes to the killer base kits since then, it seems like happy = aimed goal.

And yes, its extremely annoying that old posts are deleted. It would be so nice to look up old statements, patch notes, dev blogs, etc.

I'm not arguing with the statement that the Devs seen to balance around a 60% killrate, just with the the-goal-is-an-exact-61%-killrate-statement. Like I said, pedantic, but I like to be pedantic.

With the link I shared in my previous post you can access the old "General News" - Section. You can also access the developer updates and patch notes over Steam and the dbd wiki shares the patch notes aswell. Laborious, but if you really want to know something it's better than nothing.

Small Typo. Was meant to be 61%. Devs confirmed it a year ago, how they are happy about the new kill rate. But like all patch notes, the whole statement has vanished. All thats left was this thread with the official stat.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/346847/61-kill-rate

It is very annoying that you can't access the old posts directly anymore but I think I found the old post with the killrates https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/346830/stats-6-1-0-in-review#latest and the october follow-up: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/350586/stats-kill-rate-by-killer-and-mmr-september-2022

In those posts they say about the kill rate: "Before the 6.1.0 Update, we found Killers to be a little lacking. As a result, we introduced several change [...] The result of these changes: The average kill rate (percentage of all Survivors killed) rose by about 8%. This leaves Killers- on average- within a range that we’re comfortable with, making them deadly, but not oppressive." and "At the time, we stated that one of the main objectives behind the meta-shifting perk overhaul and base gameplay changes was to improve the overall kill rate [...], we did achieve that goal and as you’ll see in the below graphs, the kill rate continues to hover around the 59% to 61% range (up from a 51% to 53% range)."

I might be pedantic, but to me being happy with a 61% kill rate and having an 61% kill rate as goal are not the same thing and I can't see a "61% is the kill rate we want to achieve"-statement in these posts.

Devs aim at a kill rate of 62%. So this is below the desired kill rate percentage.

Do you have a source for that? I'm asking because 62% is an oddly specific number.

That's a teamwork problem. Survivors are supposed to work as a team. And this is the part where you say "but solo queue". Yeah, we all know solo queue is bad, that is not a problem exclusive to a single killer and we shouldn't be making balance decisions around something where we already know the root cause of the problem has nothing to do with the thing we are discussing.

No, solo queue is not the point I was trying to make.

In the original post you replied to the author said, that it can be hard to find a new tape if you lose the one you grabbed at the start because sadako hit you. You said that it is not a big deal, because it is only 45 seconds. My point is, it can be 70 seconds, so even if you know that your teammate just grabbed a tape from that TV, you still need to find a different one. And especially on indoor maps that can be a problem.

  • @Reinami said:

Its actually not that tough, because the tv is only off for 45 seconds when she TPs to it, so as long as you stay in the general area of one, its a good shot that it'll pop back up in 10-20 seconds unless she JUST teleported. In which case, why are you trying to grab a tape while she is nearby?

When a survivor turnes the TV off, it's off for 70 seconds, so in a bad case scenario you might wait a minute in front of the tv.

Thank you for making me aware of this.

I knew there were black versions of the shirts, I just never knew how you got them.

Honestly, the shirts are pretty good, they have that classic DBD feel to them.

True, your post reminded me that I could use them again.

I wish they were available for the new survivors though.

    That sucks :/

It could be something you get for buying Left 4 Dead.

I recently bought the Complete Valve Collection, which contains Left 4 Dead. I got a bunch of stuff for TF2 but it is possible that I got some stuff for DBD just for owning the game.

    Screenshot_20230731-005331~2.png

You're right, you geht them for owning L4D.

The Black ones you get for following dbd on steam, in case you didn't know.

This is completely out of control now, all gens done in less than 5 minutes... i'm sorry but it is totally unplayable.

Killers have no choice, they have to camp/tunnel or else it is a guaranteed loss.

Survivors have so much tools that they do not need to heal anymore. The gen rush is so huge that why would you need to heal yourself ? With resilience and prove thyself, 5 gens just fly in 4 minutes.

With 20 pallets/windows per map + some semi-infinite spots when you combined a window/pallet, even when injured you can still get a 40 seconds chase...

The current state is completely awful.

With 2 survivors equipped with Resilience + Prove Thyself, how long does it take to do a gen ? It is a global 24% speed boost in repairing a gen for each survivor, you can repair it in around 45 seconds i guess.

    It is bullshit.

    1. Gen regression doesn't work
    2. Hit & run works against the killer
    3. Slug doesn't work

    :)

4 prove thyselfs are a bit of a waste though, they don't stack. Also, how can you tell me your calculation for the 35sec when both survs have pt and resilience?

  • I don't get why people are so worried about CoH when you've been able to heal in 8s with we'll make it for years.

  • We'll make it gives you a 100% healing speed buff aswell, it's good perk but not a meta perk, so I expect the new CoH to fall in the same category.

    I wish I knew !

But their offences list is probably due for a good refreshing.

I reported someone last year for bodyblocking me in a corner for half the game and the support told me it wasn't ban-worthy because at the time there was no mention of hostage holding on the page and "bodyblocking" was specifically said not to be a bannable offense.

It got dealt with and edited afterwards, so yeah. The support ticket being optional might be a mistake ?

But in any case it's interesting, and definitely deserves being brought up !

That might explain my experience. I reported two survivors for holding the game hostage, they crouched around and did nothing (even had troll names that fit for this behaviour) and I was their teammate and dead, so in the video I sent you could clearly see that they just crouched around. From the comments the mods made in this forum I believed it to be a clear case, but support told me they need more info without specifing what info they need and instantly closed the ticket. Not as egregious as your and GoodBoyKaru's experience but I was still annoyed.

To the original topic: I was pretty sure that chat abuse is the only thing you do not need aditional evidence for, so it seems like a mistake.
