Well here's the rub, when match making was rapid fire on the pc getting in a match in 2-5 minutes or less sometimes people dc'd instantly or later for apparently no reason or selfish reasons. this has not changed with times getting into the 5-10 minutes or longer for matches. so your comment here is not holding water. If you go into a match and intentionally do poorly, there is nothing that says you must do your 110% best effort, but to disconnect to get that double pip reduction that is circumventing the ranking system and causing others issues. This is the problem, people feel they have the "RIGHT" to just up and disconnect if they don't LIKE something: I don't like this map! I don't like this killer! I don't like the fact I was found in the first minute or less of game play! and the list goes on... how about "I don't like iron grasp!" if you want to leave the match, die on hook. There is nothing that says you HAVE to let the others save you, there is nothing that says "suiciding on hook" is wrong. but if you don't like something, don't waste your time and get 0 points. Behavior designed this game thinking people would LOVE to rank up and get to the highest (lowest in this case) rank there is. This mindset is common for any sports or competitive play instance. disconnecting was thus seen as a bad thing over all and they instituted a -2 pip penalty. Thing is it's laughable when streamers leaving evidence on their VOD saying oh yes i depipped twice because I dc'd! I'm out of the red ranks! WOOHOO!!!!
DC'ing should be for 1) you can't do anything in game what so ever since you shouldn't have to wait for the killer to find you if your pc locks up, 2) an emergency comes up and you don't want to leave the system connected to a match and 3) you loose power or internet for a reason outside of your control. there really isn't a reason outside of those two that you should DC what so ever. HOWEVER I do think there should be appeals for network disconnects, pc and power drops, things like that because it should never be punished for things that are out of your control.
It definitely holds water you only repeated it backwards. If we had match making that took us from these 15 minute plus wait times to 2 mins more would just die on hook than quit because the pain of waiting 15 mins sucks. What holds more water, so many left this game it had to be released on playpass Sony cloud etc free to get people in. I get what you're saying, quitters suck. I also don't fault my team for quitting when someone's taken the game hostage and just downs everyone like the Dr then stands over the last Gen shocking making it impossible to do gens but they won't kill us either. Speed up the bleed out. 2 out of 10 matches my whole team is on the ground in a legal "slugging" while the killer let's 1 up to heal someone to bash that person down and so on. If I gotta lay on the ground more than 2 minutes with nothing to do I'm pressing start and pressing y and going to another match. Being forced to spectate folks farming me isn't why I got the game.
Maybe I suck but I can't loop the killer tons of gens, I might get lucky and stun them twice (insanely lucky) but more often than not I'm finding myself on the ground against the only person with a weapon dictating I'm not dying but that I also can't play. Or the good Ole hatch spawns between the last 3 gens that are neighbors and the killer wants to stand on the hatch for the duration of the Titanic movie knowing I can't touch gens or take the hatch and wants their free kill I'm out ✌️ every single time. If people are quitting just for the hatch, don't let the hatch open on a DC, problem solved. By the time I figure out how to get away from someone doing this, a patch has come through to kill whatever I used to save myself from the nonsense temporarily.
When anyone presses start and y on Xbox to leave match, the only warning says, you will lose items and points. That's a fair trade for already not getting to play. Impliment punishment for quitting and more folks will be forced to sit around as hostages and just fully quit the game.
Easy solution, give killers the proper bonus as if they maxed out with the survivor if they quit and keep hatch from opening on 3rd survivor DC. If they do want to punish maybe they should hire a crew to sit and watch the game people quit from and decide if the quit was worthy and maybe the killer needs a time out, a legit mess up like oh this person was playing golden and a DC wouldn't have been legit, or this survivor was just being crappy and they get a temp ban.
-
Just allow DS to reactivate every time the miler stays within 15 meters of the hook over 10 seconds, easy peasy. Those saying they don't tunnel and camp have no worries of a DS that let's you hit the killer every time they down you after a hook of they stayed on the hook.

as a player that plays both sides, i hate it. I can't control it but I hate it. early or to give hatch. I report all quitters like that, because it is against TOS. I will use it as a killer or survivor, but I will still report the DC under intentional means. (if it is a silent dc when ui changes i won't report it otherwise I will) anyways everyone loves to keep doing their favorite thing... lets screw others over and circumvent the ranking system.
ALSO quitting is not punished here. 32K or less loss of blood points is minor when the person plays for hours. -2 pips is not a punishment, it is a benefit it is a GOAL at this point, allows de-ranking.
There's tons of nonsense for deranking. Just went through a couple of matches of killers just hanging out and opening the exit to derank back to easier areas. Quitting definitely sucks as much as the people who quit on first hook when you've stopped doing a Gen and ran the entire map to save them. I don't mind someone who quits when slugged while the killer spends several minutes looking for the other survivor or just camps over you hoping they turn up. It takes long enough to find a match on Xbox currently. Give us matches that happen in a couple of minutes and it might be different but between all of the bugs, lag, and other nonsense that it takes after 15 minutes of waiting on the hatch, I get everyone's frustration and if one person is playing like a (bad word) then quit and give up the hatch to get them out of 2 kills.
At this point taking 15 plus minutes to find a match to only be lagged all over the place, then add in frustrating camping, tunneling and slugging a ban might just get some of us permanently off this game. Give us a taste of finding matches in the first 3 minutes and we'll all do whatever we can to avoid any longer waiting in the lobby and to never go back to 15 plus minute waits to die in just 3 mins.

Wakeup. It speeds the doors opening. I do feel you though. Non hatch campers who actually work on gens get punished here. If you hid by a door during last klll you could just pop the door open if the killer isn't standing in the middle of the hatch reading a. Magazine. If you powered up 3 gens and become the last survivor and miss the hatch, you didn't fail, your team failed you, and everyone thinks you should be punished for working and staying out of the killers reach. The killer got 3 kills already and wants the 4th handed to them via doors that spawn directly together or standing in the middle of the hatch with incidious on.
Let's all pretend he said, "if I've done all but one Gen alone and made it to the end being a good teammate via doing light bringer, the hatch should power a % for the work I've done not being a hiding hatch camping noob. Anyhow the answer will be, oh get good skrub, find a better team, it's still all your fault take your death like a good meat puppet etc.. You're not going to get good feedback from killers here, each one feeling like you feel entitled not thinking you're the exact survivor they actually love to have. Just become what they hate and camp the door or the hatch at the end. Personally I'll camp the door, eventually the magazine runs out, keep a mobile game handy to pass the time VS the hatch camping killer standing on the hatch and prepare for hate mail from the killer who didn't get their 4th kill they feel entitled to.

Sounds more like, the game is finally turning a. Ton of money and players compared to before. Be happy fixes are happening within a day, especially when you factor its on 5.different systems.

COD has a disconnect/leave match punishment system and they too have a "leave match" option.
MMORPGs have a "withdraw" option for dungeons queues that also have a punishment.
The option isn't there to be used as a game mechanic but so you have a way to leave for irl reasons or take a punishment for your rage. The option is designed to not be abused/used as a means to give one side an advantage in a match.
One side will always have an advantage/disadvantage when quitting. As many have said, they don't care if someone quits and screws their team upfront, they love that, they just don't like when it's used against them for one to escape. The one quitting loses here, the killer doesn't lose as they keep all points they earned on the quitter plus a bonus for quitting. The survivors only benefit if they quit and give a hatch.

They put in a quit match feature so people can quit the match, not for Hatch tech
Right so they can quit, quitting and giving your team a bonus instead of just screwing them is strategy, a component of the game as it was designed. Slugging wasn't designed up front, it became a strategy to keep someone out of the hatch, payback is quitting so they still get it. Now you're on a timer to up your strategy and run everyone away from the hatch when you down them or hook them by the hatch.
-
You only get hit with DS once per game per survivor with it on. A one use perk is a waste anyhow and most survivors stop using it until they run into killers who face camp and tunnel. Then BT gets slapped back on along with DS and the survivor starts making everyone use them. It's a rolling storm. If killers stopped tunneling and camping and it happened randomly once a game BT and DS wouldn't be used but it's happening so much that they're forced to be used, and if you force me to use a 1 use perk instead of something else, I'm going to ensure it gets used every game I have to have it.

All I'm hearing is you trying to justify having a quit button when you can literally just turn the console off and quit anyway. For all we know Microsoft has rules that require being able to disconnect for the end user, and behavior doesn't want it there.
Leaving is not a game mechanic, and sorry you seem to think it is.
Further, if it was required to allow a player to leave mid match, wouldn't that break Microsoft or Sony or etc rules to punish when being forced to allow? Stop making up random scenarios anyhow, when behavior wants it gone they'll take it away, until then, start + y equals a hatch opening for my team ☺

Microsoft does not require anything for leaving mid match
Microsoft built that in by pressing the home button and quit on the title. Out of all of the games in game pass right now, the only one I have an option to leave mid match is Dead by daylight. That was built in for the player to quit mid match, just as there's an option to leave mid lobby. I'm not justifying anything, it's mere presence is its own justification 😂

They literally cannot prevent DCs. Power outages will always trump software under all conditions if the hardware gets physically turned off. So what you're telling me is the equivalent of "If law enforcement didn't want us going too fast on the autobahn they'd remove our gas pedals." Or "If they didn't want us to unsafely exit they'd remove the exits so we can't unsafely exit."
No clearly you have a reading issue. The devs put in a press start, press Y function to quit the game that becomes a DC that opens the hatch. You get no points and lose your item to give up the hatch. It is 100% a strategy that was put there by the devs into the console UI. Police did not create a gas pedal, auto manufacturers did along with their design team. The design team here is attempting to be the police and punish for a design they placed into the game. What other function is pressing start and pressing Y for to quit if not for to quit? 😂 😂 😂

30 seconds is a long time. Perhaps if you take a hit within the first 5 seconds... But even 10 seconds should be a safe unhook in my opinion. You can get far in 10 seconds.
I like the concept of punishing farmers. But im not sure that's the way. I'll think on it too. As a community we can come up with something cool ;D
Definitely agreed, whatever the current safe unhook timer is trade it to the unhooker not the unhooked. Now the killer can punish the farmer as they intend over the one who's essentially becoming a double farm for being unhooked and hooked right back 😭 😭

If they didn't want us slugging they'd disable it under certain conditions.
Basically, the old argument of "If they didn't want us doing it they wouldn't let us do it."
Exactly and if they didn't want us DCing they wouldn't have that option on Xbox 😉

He's just playing optimally within the games mechanics.
It's not cheating if it's built into the UI by the devs! We don't pull cords on console we press start and Y exactly what the devs intended when they designed it for Xbox One. Dcing on console is in fact not cheating as long as that UI exists it is playing optimally of the game mechanics!

Don't make it easy for me to slug you then, because to be 100%, as the killer I am NOT here for your experience. I am here for mine. If I was here for yours I'd be on your team as a survivor with you, and I'm playing to win.
Be mad, I'll live. :>
Survivors aren't here for your experience either. Console has press start and press Y to quit and leave the game. If the devs didn't want dcs they wouldn't have literally built it in. The first time I'm penalized for what the devs built into the game I'm taking my complaints straight to Microsoft to have the Dev equally punished 😉

But i dont say GGEZ i wont message someone until they message me but even so ive only been playing wraith for a week and a bit straight im mainly a survivor main as well as i play legion and hag of the only time im mainly around the hook is when im hitting the gen then leaving and when i hit a guy that has been saved i always look around the area because ill rather go for the person that saved you because ik ds is a thing that everyone uses at my rank the only time i went to go for the person that had just been saved because i probably had one of those stupid weekly challenges which im really starting to hate atm
Yeah those challenges are bringing out the worst in everyone and I feel you, on Xbox I check messages because I have killers link up to do tomes and dailies and want a survivor friend to go in with. We definitely won't please everyone no matter what. Let them escape you get messages about being trash, kill them also trash, hit them tea bagging at the exit with NOED and noob trash too, list goes on. Just remember their name, you'll play them again, then face camp them lol. I play both killer and survivor and I get tons of hate mail both ways. Mines usually because of noed end game and nothing pleases me more than someone tea bagging thinking my hit will send them running out the exit only to down them and watch the other 3 leave them behind fast 😂.
If you ever wanna link up on a swf and die with me ign is the same tag as here for Xbox.
-
I had to go look because the name looked familiar 😂 you camp so hard. Walking around the hook is not leaving the hook around the map and you only go for the one off hook. I've had you as killer a few times. Imagine that, people upset at the way you play and you swear you don't but you do. I'm not sure why you're here looking for sympathy for things that are fully within your control. Xbox filters the messages so they aren't in your messages automatically except for the fact that you message and say GGEZ which it's very easy when you're standing on the hook. Try not being a toxic player first and second try to be honest when on the forum looking for support 😂

Yeh i would but im a xbox player so the messages cant be avoided i think for now im gonna play doc and give survivors atleast a reason to rage instead of getting salty over nothing
Xbox literally has the forced option of opening messages not from friends. It's a filtered message. If you're finding yourself at the hook you're not tunneling until you hit the person off hook 👍 so you're probably a tunneling camper, it's not often tunneler is called unless you're chasing everyone off the hook, that doesent constantly happen every game unless you're camping the hook. Don't like it, don't open the message or don't do it 😂

If people were informed they were facing a 4 man or even a 3 man swf then they would dodge. Doesnt this show that you need to incentivize these games instead of making it feel like we were tricked into playing them or punished?
The same incentive survivors get against camping ghost face etc..

@Atrushan88 said:
I think the tomes on the killer side are not super bad outside of a few that force you to play scummy, but the survivor ones almost all encourage you to play in a way that is a detriment to yourself or your team. The grindy ones don't bother me, but asking for safe unhooks is just saying "equip borrowed time and farm the hell out of your teammates". Throw pallets equates to "waste all the pallets on the map", etc.
Most of the do X in one trial are perfectly fine. I mean aside from things like unhook 2 survivors safely during the EGC. But the ones that are meant to be completed over multiple games for survivor are just there for you to screw over yourself or your team.
Borrowed time is not a safe unhook. A safe unhook is unhooking out of the killers TR and big AND, not getting hit for like 15 seconds.
-
The ones I have a problem with are if a survivor is unhooked unsafe that's not the one on the hooks fault. Penalize the one unhookijg unsafe by making them injured. Bam.
-
Killers upset at those who suicide on first hook but killers also don't want BT to work. Ie they want the person coming for the hook only if they can't save the hook. If they save they want the one hooked.
-
Killers camp hard. Just watching the cries of, well I have to hit the OnE oFf hOoK. No you don't. You hit the healthy one unhooking and when they unhook you hit them again, boom they're down. Now either the fresh off the hook has to save the one who saved them or they run to heal and a 3rd player is forced to deal with the hook. That's 3 players dealing with the hook in a short time. However these noob camping killers would rather secure the single kill on the hook and hate BT/DS et al., that's not our problem. The guy farming is the one you want not the one being used for the farm. You just want to also farm the one the farmer picked out making this game suck. If you're not 32 meters in the hook, aka nuts deep on the one you hooked and putting pressure on the map, it's not a problem and if they run past you off the hook they still got BT for a few seconds. 😂 😂 😂
-
Just remove Trapper being affected by his own traps. Any serial killer movie the killer can run across their own traps and the folks chasing to kill them always get trapped. If trapper gets caught on his own traps he gives the paths that can be ran away thus should start with all traps or all traps auto hurt anyone who disarms them that does not have tool box or Sabo perk. Trap add ons that would place a survivor into dying only injures survivors with Sabo and toolbox. Then it's fair. Slippery meat has always been weak and this would encourage survivors to run Sabo or use tool boxes in traps instead of gens pushing a different fun game play that lasts longer for all.
Yes there are some very good players who play trapper insane, the game should not be balanced around those pro players. If all games were balanced around the top 10 players no one would play them, idk why this game balances around red ranks only but it's wild.
-
Thantaphobia, ruin, nurses calling and NOED. Thant forces healing or slow down. They heal you see them with nurses. Ruin helps slow it all down. NOED if they still manage to rush. My anti rush build for Nurse Trapper and hag
-
If you can't break a totem to cleanse NOED you should probably play viva piñata 🤷♂️. People get so mad at NOED on survivor side. Like nearly everyone I match with. I'm always like, leave them on the hook and let's find the totem since we rushed, now it's broke save them. Ide go against NOED every game to never deal with a face camper who won't let you pull someone from hook because they will pull you off instead of hit you.

Gen Rushing - Honstly I don't get this. Match starts and survivors are separated (Not always). they each hop on a Gen (The Objective) and start it, you find someone and chase them and 3 gens pop shortly after... that's an unforntunate break, but it's not a team trying to screw you. Plus it's easy to fix. Pressure the gens. If one pops while you're chasing someone and haven't hit them yet, or downed them, consider going back to the gens, force the others off and moving around, especially if the person running you is intentionally pulling you AWAY from the Gens. Plus if you get in a lobby and you see 3 toolboxes, You can dodge ahead of time if you really wanted to.
Tbagging, flashlight clicking - I agree. This is just poor sportsmanship and I hate it as well. But to note, these actions don't prevent you from earning points. they annoy and it shouldn't be done, but you are still earning.
decisive strike - Perk... I may hate NOED, and don't feel you need it on certain killers, I don't want to see it changed or removed, nor do I care if I go against it. DS is easily avoidable, especially if you are already in chase with someone else, or down the hooked person, come back a minute later if you haven't caught the guy who unhooked him. Preferably, go after the idiot who unhooked him in front of you, trying to farm points.
Dead hard - ...Seriously? You hate Dead Hard? on average when it comes to dead hard is an extra 3 seconds of chase, ONCE. Once you see it, if you're chasing the same guy again, just get close, watch them dead hard an attack that isn't coming, then hit them. I've only seen it used ONCE where it actually significantly increased the chase time, all the rest were just jokes. admittedly, I've not hit red ranks with killer, yet, but I've come close, rank 6.
but none of this matters, You stated "o leaving in the middle of the match and wasting everyone's time." well how do you think I, or OTHER DC'ers feel when you tunnel, camp, or slug us? It's a complete waste of time, it sucks, and plain and simply, we HATE it. Unlike several of the things you mentioned though, These 3 styles were YOUR choice to play. You chose a play style that benefits ONLY you. It doesn't thrill, excite, or entertain the others (Game is designed for 5 to entertain each other, not just yourself). So if you wasted MY time with these play styles, why shouldn't we waste yours? you provide us that thrill, that jump scare, that entertainment, and we'll continue to play and entertain you.
But forcing players to play against toxic constantly, it's just not in the cards. People will quit. And when Behavior realized maybe they should find a different method to dealing with the actual problem, then they might return.
If you want examples of this, look at the original Star Wars MMO. The original was fun, people enjoyed it, but asked for a couple of changes, to enhance game play. No one wanted a handout in the game, they just wanted some combat styles tweaked. Instead of listening to the player base, they completely redesigned the combat system to something that just sucked. Some left, others asked it be changed back, or fixed. Again ignored and more people left. The game spent so much time ignoring the player base, they lost a vast majority of it. By the time they started listening,. it was too late. No one cared, the game went under. No one wants to see that happen to DBD, but if you keep forcing changes like this, force players to play rounds that just plain and simply suck, the same thing will happen. So I ask you, If you have to keep playing rounds that plain and simply SUCK constantly, How long before you quit? Ask yourself Honestly.
I've offered suggesting on another thread or 2 on how to combat DC's already, but I don't think any of them will happen.
True that. The wait time on matches now suck horrible between 5 and 20 minutes then added punishment when DC. We already have to wait up to 20 minutes to get insta downed and face camped. This happens 5 games in a row and my entire night was just wanted against killers who've cried punish the survivors who won't deal with my being toxic and Dbd going okay we will. I hope catering to killers on this pans out for them but I know a group of 50 of us on Facebook haven't been on in over a week currently and debating if we're coming back at this point due to the insane wait times in lobbies paired with more wait time if we quit a tragically horrid match of lagging, face camping, tunneling and slugging.
Tldr: punish me upfront with long wait times then add more wait time if I dc a toxic killer I punish back by stopping spending money first then completely quitting. I'm already on the stop spending train and a week break 👍

In that same vein, I don't want to play against gen rushing, tea bagging, flash light clicking, decisive strike, dead hard-using survivors, but I still have to.
Also when I play survivors, if the killer is a streamer, I can't dodge that either, because I don't know who the killer is and if they're a streamer or not.
Again, you're trying to correlated leaving a lobby which immediately gets replaced with another killer, to leaving in the middle of the match and wasting everyone's time. They're not the same thing.
When a killer leaves the lobby force closes and you must create another lobby on Xbox, then wait all over again for folks to show up. Killer is host and lobby dodging kills the full setup survivors have done and they must then make a match, setup offering and what they're bringing then invite or join another lobby, wait for a killer, pop into their lobby then hope they don't lobby dodge to rinse and repeat. The whole process of a killer lobby dodging takes about 1 minute less than an entire match dc. Punish killer dodging that simple
-
You're mad at Gen rushing. That's literally the only thing a survivor can do to leave outside of wait for 3 to die and hatch out. You just want the game catered to you and against survivors. You don't like D/S because you camp and tunnel the literal reason survivors DC 😂 😂 😂
-
I can almost guarantee that if gens get done insanely fast with zero pressure the killer has NOED and its time to look for totems instead of exit gates. Noed has that 500 point bonus for cleansing if you wait until it's activated. I've never been mad at it, you can usually gurantee the killer will also camp that hook with Noed in effect meaning safe cleansing. Thrill of the hunt with Noed and ruhroh, it's going to be rough but we rushed this is what we get not searching for totems 🤷♂️. Usually someone plays Noed with ruin like a noob so it's dead with ruin early game.

Leaving lobby and DCing in the middle of the match are completely two different things and are not mutually exclusive.
When exactly is the middle of the match to you? 2 minutes in? 3,5? Matches average about 8 minutes and by 4 minutes you may have learned who the killer is, if they're spamming a chainsaw to 1 hit down or if they knock items out of your hand. They're pretty much the same. If a killer is ditching lobbies at fear of loss, why can't another DC at fear of loss? You're rewarded and do not derank because someone else has dced.
You're playing a public game worried someone else might see your play style and judge it so you skip lobbies? You're playing against strangers who judge your play style anytime you join a match that isn't kill your friends. If you don't want that don't play ranked matches because it's going to happen either way.
The loading in and seeing ping is survivor ping to your connection. A bad ping and you skip lobbies is only favoring the survivor not yourself. You don't lag out from bad ping the survivor connecting to you does.
You specifically don't want to be a punching bag but you don't mind if the survivor is, what a double standard.

Freddy-
Freddy has no counter-play for any of his powers. You cannot interact with any of his powers in order to give Survivors a way to counter his abilities. When Freddy uses his dream snares he has no cool down or slowdown when putting them down. This almost always guarantees a free hit or down when trying to loop him. Also if you choose o disable the snares he gets a notification and can put them down again immediately. Then with his Dream Pallets, survivors can put them down, although similar to his snares he can put them back up almost immediately. While as a survivor you can remember where real pallets are, this is a unrealistic expectation for an entire team to do. Ways to provide counter play for survivors would be to give a cool down on his abilities for 20 seconds for each use. Also for his teleport make to so he has to commit to teleporting it and can't cancel it, giving survivors more options for counter-play. Another option for counter-play would be taking out the timer for the dream state and make Freddy have to manually put survivors into it. This would give survivors ways to counter his Swing Chains add-ons. Also a small quality of life change would be when survivors are put into the dream state and miss skill checks to wake themselves up, Freddy doesn't gain a notification, this would give survivor play styles more options for counter-play while still punishing them for failing.
Ghostface-
Ghostface and his Night Shroud ability is one of the best stealth abilities in the game, with no down sides. He has power creeped almost every other stealth killer in the game. He also has no down side when being broken out of his ability. Also with the broken reveal mechanic with his power when he leans around a corner makes him uncounterable. Ways to give survivors a counter to his power would be to make the reveal mechanic actually work when a survivor looks at him. Also since he has no warning before he strikes unlike Wraith they should either give Ghostface a warning sound or something before he attacks or give him 110% movement speed. Also another quality of life change would to give his addons that give his power a faster recharge rate a slight nerf.
You might be new or never played against Freddy until recent or played him as you ever? Freddy about 3 months ago had to pull you in by hitting you or you be in his terror radius too long. You'd hear the lullaby and boom asleep it really sucked as a survivor because you couldn't see him and know if he was camping the hook or just nearby. Now that you can Randomly fall asleep, you see him which helps as a survivor. When Freddy does not port he gets a massive cool down against him before he can port again. So if you see blood blow the Gen and run then he ports for nothing or run past him mid port and then he won't port and bam you've countered them. Every counter you're saying there isn't one, there is several. Play against them more, play with other players and learn

Like survivors don't lobby dodge all the time too. You know how many survivors randomly quit my lobbies lately, probably because ranking put them with low ranks and they don't want to play with less skilled teammates = cherry picking like killers do with lobbies. To me dodging lobbies isn't as big deal since it doesn't affect the final game you eventually get.
I wouldn't mind some punishments like timeouts even for lobby dodging thou. But you really can't compare DC/suiciding on hook with lobby dodging. It's a whole another league of bad manners which definitely needs serious punishments if abused.
Hook suicide, if you don't want that to happen stop camping the hooks lol. You're upset when someone dies that you put on a hook? Get real
-
No one or everyone has committed to the game entering the lobby. Survivors can't see the killer so don't get the option to dissolve lobby because they see mori or killer but killer gets to see survivors, who they come with and items and gets the choice to swap killers, add on and offering while also goijg, well o don't stand a chance so I'll dissolve it. That's exactly on point with a DC. DC is happening because a survivor finally gets to see what a killer could see upfront. Either hide the survivors fully or show the killer to survivors or punish lobby dissolve by the killer, who is host so ping is fully on them, the same as you punish survivor DC point blank

If for example, I see someone is a streamer and I don't feel like playing in front of a live audience, especially since I very rarely play seriously and don't want random strangers judging how I play, then I should have the right to leave that lobby.
If I load in and I see the server ping is fairly high, then I should have the right to leave that lobby.
If I see it's an obvious SWF and I don't feel like playing against it because I'm using a D or C tier killer with meme perks and don't feel like volunteering in being 4 people's punching bag, then I should have the right to leave that lobby.
You don't want to volunteer being a punching bag but survivors don't know they'll be a punching bag until guess what?, they get a killer making them one and they DC. DC isn't to go ahahhaah i got you, people DC because they're sick of being punching bags, glad you see both sides now

hyp·o·crite. Use hypocrite in a sentence. noun. The definition of a hypocrite is a person who pretends to have certain beliefs, attitudes or feelings when they really do not. An example of a hypocrite is a person who says they care about the environment, but are constantly littering.
there is like so much people in the dbd community saying things like
”oh this games sucks!” “This game should do this!” “The game has the worst ____” “the ___ is terrible and I hate this game!”
(there is a couple of people here thinking I don’t condone OPINIONS. Yes, I do, but maybe instead of playing your opinion out rudely maybe keep it more mature and explain what you think is wrong and what we can do to fix it.)
why are you playing the game then huh? Do you expect the devs to listen to only your opinion? This game is for everyone, not for your specific needs. It wasn’t made for you. So stop complaining and either keep playing the game and stop whining or find another one, I am sick of seeing people like this.
thanks for reading this rant lol
The game was definitely made for "me" all of us, to spend money on and to keep spending money. If you want to continue to get money then you make the paying players happy 🤷♂️

i wish survivors had abilities. not perks, but a thing you can only do if youre that survivor.
cause survs always say "im a kate main" or a "jake main"... like ######### does that even mean. you main a skin basically? maining a certain surv does literally nothing lol
When someone is a certain main they use mainly that person's skills. Nea mains use BL and street wise and almost always urban evasion. Ash mains used to main MOM until its nerf. Claudette usually self healing, Dwight almost always prove thyself and bond etc etc so on and so on.

All Survivors play the exact same because they scream to nerf or remove anything that forces them to learn a new play style, adopt off-meta perks, or adapt.
And the Devs listen.
Devs also listen to killers stop being bias. Demi got patched up etc.. Clearly a new survivor and killer are always OP for sales then nerfed its the life of games who survive on dlc alone after years. Survivors got Bill and instead of new skills they got screwed and forced to level him to 40 to get borrowed time, broken etc learned for other survivors. I'm stuck with a Claudette with lvl 1 borrowed time that cannot level up again until Bill teaches her a perk she's already been using, way to go Devs that was a nice screw up... Imagine getting a brand new killer but instead of new perks the killer just used common no one perks that now have to be taught to be used again for anyone else.

-IF as survivor i play "protect the president" (if i know him, i did with Otzdarva once)
-As killer? i play normal becasue anyway didnt happen to me a lot of times anyway if i got a god surviror maybe i would use a strong killer with strong addons... but no moris
Why play protect the president with only a streamer? Protect the president with your entire team and then they eventually do the same until everyone is finally helping each other and having fun lol

I face camp and hump them. I wanna be famous in YouTube

Don't get me wrong, it's good for a game to get feedback on problems in a game buttt I think it's going to far.
Think about it, the devs are trying their best to make sure the game has a steady rate of players by brining in new chapters ect. But everyone always complains that this killer and that killer need a nerf- which I can understand how some do, but a lot of times they don't.
For example everyone wants the spirit to get nerfed when she is, in my opinion, a very balanced killer.
KILLERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE STRONGER THAN THE SURVIVORS.
A lot of killers are skill based, you just have to figure out your own way to work around killers and their powers.
This is just my opinion, so don't get butt hurt over what I'm saying-
It's both side though. Balanced landing has a nerf coming etc.. No one is ever happy. If the devs played it smart they'd make the buffs and debuffs via rank. BL cuts at Red etc. If you're good enough for red rank you can handle these cuts and either not be red or skilled red. Same for killers. Power drops at rank color changing makes the most sense.
Also adding something survivors could do, repair pallots. Takes them off gens for a bit, no progress to getting out but helps them get more points and killers can run across them more often in chases lol. Think about it, that change would benefit killers more and survivors with something new to do. Those are the kinds of changes I expect to see honestly.

you are instigating him via your response though, you wanted that response to happen. You also wanted the attention.
That's one of the lightest messages I've gotten on a day of playing nurse. What exactly made me, "want that response to happen and the attention?"
If I wanted that ide sit by a door with noed not chase anyone and just take one hook and camp by the totem and door ?

Sounds like someone's mad they can't scam because now the items are for everyone 😂 😂 😂 😂

Stop making tunnels smh... /s
Overall, we need harsher punishments for these kind of pricks.
It wasn't a tunnel but I suppose you cannot read. End of match the only survivor getting killed was the injured one tea bagging at the exit. Had they left or had their teammate with health run behind them they wouldn't have got caught ?
-
Everyone is defending the killer in this story quickly dismissing he teamed with someone he slugged to find another survivor. The tattling survivor and the killer who's following where he leads are both toxic garbage here but yes its this survivors fault that the killer has committed to the play style of slugging and following the snitch.
Honestly this is why I swf and lead the killer away from hatches when I'm downed. The garbage killer thinks we're teaming and gets lead to a lost kill. Then the killer messages GGEZ literally every time. Stop pretending survivors who get upset at people cheating are the toxic ones 😂 😂
-
OP, post a video of you running a killer like this. Screenshot your rank. I'm failing to believe you win more than 20% of your games unless you're quitting to get to rank 20 to in turn win 20 games and quit it up again. It sounds more like you're a sour killer pretending to be a survivor main who loses a majority of games. If you'd just start with the truth you'd likely get more help.
-
This thread makes the case for ds to come back the old way harder and stronger. Most of you I see lying on other threads about how you don't hard tunnel and face camp but the truth always comes out. You don't accidentally run into survivors off the hook, you camp and tunnel them. Hopefully we see a rise in key availibily and the option for survivors to average 4ks 😂 😂 😂
Watch for the rage posts tonight about survivors being toxic to the tunneling killers because my team definitely is going to be tonight 😉

I hear ash say it at least 4 times before each match start a day. I play with a friend in Canada and matchmaking sucks so bad when we survive with each other.
-
As a survivor main, thank you for doing that, for real no sarcasm. Games are so much fun when the killer is leaving the hook and crossing the map. It feels like it gives me a chance even though I know the killer will be back, and will probably catch me and hook me again. I survive with friends and maybe we suck but we lose, a ton. Mostly camping killers and 1 of my always teammates hides so much they get birds every single game then hatch camps. I wish there was incentive for the killer to kill them instead of me who they always find on a Gen.
Devs from a survivor main, if the person with a key hasn't done 2 full gens don't let the hatch open for the key. Put a "pig trap" of sorts that activates the key only after the person has at minimum helped turn on 2 gens or after 2 die. I'm burnt working gens hard to be found on gens while the hiders hatch out doing absolutely nothing or a few hook saves that give them insane points over doing anything else.
Tldr: camping killers suck as bad as Gen rushers and hatchers. Hatch feels like rancor or mori it's about the only answer to them. Or hatch only if there's a mori or perk or add on that allows kills. Killer moris someone after 1st hook hatch auto opens killing after 1st hook is on point with Gen rush and early hatch out. Stop the dookie practice on both sides.
-
Riot, yes lol. I often run across many just playing in the basement. Maybe it's an Xbox thing but heals are done a majority of the time in the basement, people jumping locker to locker just hiding in the basement waiting for everyone to die to then usually catch a hatch in the killer shack right beside the basement. I dunno but there's gotta be something to get these folks out and Playing. It's so boring dying on your first hook watching people just locker hop in the basements.
