Bhvr said that the mechanic is aimed at killers who are 3 gening from the start of the match. So i doubt that the mechanic will be that impactful if survivors actually do just 3 gen themselves
-
Personally i would just outright remove the ability to go under pallets without dashing. Just using his power as a way to ignore pallets is by far the worse and most boring way to play the killer.
-
Top 5 worse ever released killers in dbd. Powers like knights simply aren't healthy and will never be enjoyable for the survivors in dbd.

Absolutely not. And yes there is. Distortion and calm spirit. They completely disable certain perks on killers. Would you like them changed as well? If you are okay with reworking both of those and every other aura read or scream counter in the game then I'm all on board with light born changes.
Those perks are bad game design too.
-
You're 100% correct, It is bad game design for lightborn to just completely shut down lights with no actual interaction.
-
both speed and c33

Yes, you particularly said "Balance" ,however, if we "Balance" for the majority of people, we'll be forced to buff Nurse.
Since you know, if you include all MMRs, nurse has the lowest Killrate.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5RJE4QLH24JN/image.png
You cannot balance the game around survivors that run into walls or nurses that blink into basements.
There has to be an MMR cut-off where you tell people to get good instead of listening to demands for nerfs to the other side.
How about you use the top 5% mmr one where kill rates are higher across the board.

you're joking, he has a wail comparable to weskar already and on top of that survivors just walk behind you and vault again or run around to the other side again before you can move the only exception is slice and dice which locks you into a forward slash after vault and all you have to do is sidestep it and sometimes you don't even vault the pallet but rather just dash into it and hit it.
Weak is no excuse for unhealthy game design. Scampering under pallets and getting a free hit 95% of the time isn't something that should be a thing
-
I imagine something mechanically simple like a regression cap on gens.
-
?? Scamper is still overtuned and should be nerfed again.
-
That thought goes both ways bro. Weaker killers shouldn't just have their numbers pumped to insane levels to fight against hivemind swf survivors
-
All bad with some extremely annoying to play against ones like bni and the hex.
-
Would gate design space for all TR perks and would be broken with coulrophobia and probably infectious fright
-
Really don't understand the utter hatred dbd players have if you have the nerve to use anything that gives even a minor advantage.
-
Please dear god. This combo has actually 0 counterplay if you're not a killer that can just eat endu and not care.

So a SWF or even just solos would collectively all ban indoor maps for instance, making life quite hard for stealth killers?
i would ban indoor maps even if i was playing a stealthy killer. By far the worse maps in the game to play on for both sides

your post makes no sense. a 99% SB = Exhausted. you cannot use MFT when you are exhausted. the only perk where MFT does work with exhaustion is DH. DH is only perk to work with MFT because it is only exhaustion perk that triggers at very end of the chase. when DH does trigger, DH disables MFT. I thought about writing post in regards to why resilience is an overrated perk for vault speed but it took 2 paragraph so I decided to skip it.
You can 99% sprint burst to the point where you're not exhausted anymore. It's pretty hard to do tho.
-
I would outright prefer if huntress lullaby were to just be completely reworked. It's only use is to bully new players and to make streamers unable to read chat.
-
All % action speed perks need to be mid at best due to the fact you can stack them. 4 hooks and pento would alone would double gen time.
-
I seen like 1 dc over 3 days of playing killer personally.
-
Dbd is mechanically easy to play, all the difficulty comes from the zillion random knowledge checks the game has. Which 4x games have way more. This game really isn't that deep which is one of the reasons this game turns out old players at a huge rate.
-
"b-but my challenges!" yea im also sitting at the gate dropping ass because i have a challenge too bro trust.
-
Zoey or Bill
-
i wouldn't say she's problematic anymore but she's as awful to play against as knight is.
-
It's very clear power creep for an info perk. We went from whispers to bbq/lethal to nowhere to hide and ult weapon.
-
lmao that clip you posted as "proof" has gonna be the funniest thing i seen in a while. Massive skill issue lmao.

Yes, matchmaking 100% will not fix that. Because most survivors are just allergic to be any good at the game. 2 month of Alien matches and almost all still put turrets right in front of his exits. 3 months of new Onryo, still no one takes a tape. 1k hours, 3k and even 5k hours players still as awful at looping as me at 300 hours.
Just do gen simulator with Trapper bot, who miss attack right in front of him, and survivors like you will be the happiest players in the world.
That's not just for survivors, that's highkey a general thing about gamers nowadays. No one gives a ######### about improving at the games they play now. Everyone seeks the easiest, cheesiest route to success instead of earning their wins.

I would rework it to be something like whenever a survivor is put into dying state, they bleed out 5%/10%/15% faster.
Let's maybe not encourage that kinda gameplay

I wasn't aware killers were designed for survivors to want to be chased by them.
The only reason to play survivor is for interactions with the killer. Would you play alien isolation if there was no alien?
-
It's over used a lot but complaining about a killer design that there just isn't a reason to want to engage in chase with is still important feedback
-
I actually think that genetic limits is a decent perk and it doesn't need to be changed.

Making haste not stack would just lead to picking the perk with the most haste provided, and any other perk providing less will fade away.
Low % haste perks would be balanced via low requirements. While high haste would be ideally hard to get, so there would be a point in running both if they didn't stack. And the value of each % of haste grows exponentially the closer you are to the killers movespeed so bhvr should add a check to open up perk design

Hmm. Dont know about that.
If it is working instantly on demand, it would give the remaining survivor a free hatch. If it would work after sluged for lets say 1 minute, well then you going to get hooked or bleed out soon anyway. Its a tough one.
Hatch escapes don't matter. The game has been over for a while if it comes down to hatch, so just let me go next please
-
Survivors have to play the majority of the match with 3 perks to use hope. It should be very powerful, just nerf mft or make haste not stack(or both)
-
She still offers awful gameplay for survivors and there's very little reason to ever want to see her. At least she can't hold you in a match for 40 minutes lol.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So how would you propose it be removed?
suicide button for downed survivors when there's only 2 left in the match
-
God no. How hard is it for you to walk like 10m from a hooked person
-
The play style required to actually get the anti camp feature to proc isn't gameplay for ether side lol. You can still proxy camp, you can still camp via zoning on maps like resting place, you can still force stage 2 if they wait too long to save, and you can still camp in endgame. This feature has no effect if you're playing killer with the goal of actually winning the match and to not just be a dickhead to the first person you down.
-
After looking at all the survivor perks myself i would say 32 perks are objectively ether downgrades from other perks, so niche that you just that you're basically playing with only 3 perk slots running it 95% of the time, and perks that effects just don't matter. I was rather generous with it too with what i counted as niche too.

XD ok. That's bait and I'll bite.
My build is Stbfl, surge/jolt, BBQ and lethal pursuer. Addons are medical file and combat straps.
I get a head pop almost every thirty game. Fourth at most.
Why?
Because I have 2k hours on her and know her rng.
Players don't need screaming. I never use these perks. I dont need them.
If I want to be extra nasty, I use further slowdown and no info at all.
I created builds way more nasty then those people complain about in my time playing her. And they have nothing to do with screaming.
So am I cringe now because I know how to play her?
What does any of this have to do with the problem of screaming resetting box progress? You hovering someone to prevent them from doing boxes isn't problematic. It's when you don't have to actually interact with them at all with scream perks boxes to farm headpops is the issue.
-
the stun reduction addons are actually pretty nice for keeping stbfl stacks but other than that i agree with you
-
Yup, basically knight 2.0. SM is still one of the worse killers to play against lol.

Lmao, prople try and make a joke killer usefull and they get clapped by devs. I mean the unsolvable box by bodyblock was literally unplayable, but you can literally loop pig for like 1 gen minimum if you are bad at looping, she is an m1 looping them is almost subconcious.
What's with dbd players and defending clearly unhealthy gameplay just because it's weak. If you're focusing on boxes you should never die to a head pop. When there's a build that can outright force a headpop even without direct interaction from the killer to force you off the boxes. That's clearly unhealthy gameplay.

Bait??? As a Pig main, I'm tempted.
Not bait, if you use the scream build, you're cringe. Like the vast majority of pig players are, which is why bhvr has had to nerf pig so many times to kill off the abusive strats that pig players would use.
-
As long as it's gated in some way so ppl don't just next when they get a bad map or something
-
People are probably just done with xeno tbh. He's a mechanically very simple character. I personally really doubt that the overall minor revert they did on tail recovery had a lot to do with it.
-
I think it's also notable that nightlight is a self reported stat tool. Which most likely means that a lot of the stats are centered around bettter players since i really doubt a newer player cares or even knows about nightlight.
-
Also tracks biopods fun fact
-
Good post +1 Only thing i kinda disagree with is removing the sound from charging completely. Making it trigger when half way would be a better idea i feel.
Very rare for pig players to knowledge how awful it is to play against her due to abusing scream perks and double gear box.
-
they toned it back massively. It used to be like 150ms and now it just prevents extreme lag strikes hits mostly
