It's just a bad streak of matches. It happens to me too.

No.

Whats more of a crazy concept is finding some people who enjoy the game to give feedback to maybe change my mind. Weird right?
I don't really care if you play this game or not. If you're not enjoying something, then the obvious thing is to do something else that you do enjoy. It's the healthy thing to do.
It's not my or anyone else's responsibility to change your mind. The decision is yours.
-
So stop playing it and play another game?
What's not fun for you is fun for others. It's a crazy concept, I know.
-
I like Ash.

Sadly, this is probably a case of the survivors having a lack of information.
It's quite common to be all on a generator with the mindset of "someone else will get them" which in return leads to no one going.
Kindred is fantastic for this, since not only does it help you, it helps others make better choices. It's a must have perk for solo queue.
Until it works against you. Countless of times I will see them group up and heal instead of saving me, causing me to either die or go to the 2nd stage.
Love the perk and always run it playing solo, but that's also a downside to it. ;(
-
Both perks reward killer for playing their objective. BBQ rewards the killer for getting hooks and the aura reading makes them move away from the hook to get pop. Remember - a killer cannot get value from pop if they don't get hooks.
If PGTW bothers you, why not use repressed alliance?
-
This came out of nowhere. It's fine. If they're baiting you to hit them, just wait out the BT timer?
-
Only use it to max co-op points. Otherwise I rock other perks. Splitting up is the most efficient way of winning, so I hardly run it.
-
Love the music in this game.
And let's not praise the music either. Let's also praise all the other environmental/sound effects. They're awesome too.
-
I've noticed that my P3 survivors get way less event items than my non P3 survivors. I'll get maybe 1 or 2 max on my P3 survivors and get 3 or more per bloodweb on my non prestige ones.
I'd say rewards more shards.
-
Clown is my favorite killer because of his laugh. It's so good.
For survivor, even though he's super loud, JEFF!
-
It's been pretty bad for me tonight lol. I'm the only red rank while the other survivors are brand new! The killer rank is usually red/purple. You can imagine how these matches have gone lol.
-
Could be early game pressure if they don't have corrupt intervention or ruin. If you've noticed an influx of it, bring unbreakable, soul guard, or tenacity.
-
It's iconic for me. When you think about it, there's not much to it, but you hear it and know it's DbD. Absolute genius composing.
-
Man, I love Frank. I'd only accept him in DbD if his original VA did the voice work!
-
I have so much fun doing it. Since the bloodweb is random, it's so fun leveling up and experimenting with whatever perks you're earning. Plus, once I P3 a character, I have ease of mind knowing I won't lose any event items if I decide to prestige them later.
-
Leader, Hope, and Bond.
I'll put it simple. I'm a teacher and will create future leaders. The new generation gives me hope, and the bonds I've created with my community is unforgettable.
-
Coup de Grace exist. Do you use it though? Doubt it. Want to know why people use dead hard to gain distance? Because 99.9% of the time you want to use it to dodge a hit guess what happens? You get downed and are exhausted because it doesn't work.
-
I don't know. Being able to loot a chest twice is still appealing for a chest build.

I think survivors are trying to be more efficient
it is faster to get 2 separate gens done then it is to have 2 survivors do 1 gen then another because of the -15% repair speed you get along with the travel time it takes to get to another gen.
if the killer tries stopping it they also can't stop both gens at once easily so more than likely at least 1 gen will get done.
Agreed. I'd rather work on a different gen to apply additional pressure. Besides a lot of killers like to run discordance and that perk is a death sentence.
I will only go to your gen if it's down to the wire where we only need one or two, and even if we needed two, I'll still think about gen placement and whether or not it's efficient to split up to have progress on the final 2 gens.
Very situational perk for me!
-
For me, as a survivor, it's ALL over the place.
I have a huge TV and have to constantly pay attention on all corners of it for no reason. I'll be working on a gen, someone goes down and I check to see who it was, but since I have to focus my eyes on the top left, guess what happens? Oh a skill check, quick reposition my eyes towards the skill check and check again which survivor was hooked because I couldn't check fast enough the first time.
Also, I swear I also can't figure out if the person who was downed was picked up by the killer or left slugged since their bar doesn't flash, at least I haven't noticed it yet.
The old UI was simple and could tell me everything I needed to know without having to adjust my eyes all over the TV.
-
I have a huge TV and playing survivor is annoying with this new UI. it's downgrade for sure. Haven't played killer today, but I bet it'll be the same thing.
-
I can't play with this add on. It makes everything worse.

I could say the same about mori
Moris are completely fine and a non-threat now though? The killer needs 2 hooks in order for them to mori.
Keys are still very unfair.
-
As a solo survivor, I can't stand them either. The other night, I loaded into a lobby with 3 other survivors who were bringing keys into a trial and was rolling my eyes so hard hoping they'd remove them. Unfortunately they didn't and to their surprise, the killer we were facing was a Nurse. The nurse slugged them all not even 5 minutes into the match and I did NOT bother saving them from the hook. I just focused on getting the only generator done and watched them all die. Nurse began chasing me and thankfully I ended up getting the hatch.
I will not bother to save any survivor I see in the lobby who brings a key, because I've been screwed over by them every single time as a solo survivor. I'll do the gens while the key holder (usually in SWF) just wait until myself or the rest of the other survivors die/do enough gens so the hatch appears so they make their escape. Call it selfish of me, but I don't care anymore.
-
Franklin's is only an issue when you're hit with it the first time. When you get your item back or a new item you just drop it before getting smacked. It counters it.
-
About a half a year ago I was using a no scratch mark build, (Lightweight, Dance with Me, Lithe, and Poised) and managed to escape a killer 4 times during the match. He sent me hate mail for using Lightweight AND Poised calling me a coward for using these "OP" perks and accused me of not doing anything but hide all match when I repaired 3 gens/rescued 3 survivors.
I had a pretty good laugh about it.
-
These past two weeks red ranks has been such a frustrating experience. Most matches for me as a solo end up in the killer getting 3-4 kills. Very rarely will I get a decent team of survivors who last in chases and do gens.

Why run Leader when Resilience is a thing? Ngl Leader makes u want to stay 'round ppl which shouldn't be the case since survivors being split up is better (and potentially avoid a slug with IF)
Normally I agree that splitting up is beneficial, especially at the start of the trial. Towards the end though, group healing faster, team mates picking me up 25% faster if I'm slugged, or grouping up with one other survivor to complete the last gen is crucial sometimes.
Leader doesn't want me to stay grouped up, but paired up with Bond I can decide when I want to go with a team mate to get healed or boost a team mate that's healing another survivor, go towards a team mate who may be opening an exit gate. It has its uses.
-
Best of luck at your future endeavors!
-
I've only used open handed with Kindred. I've tried it with bond and like it a ton too. However, it's either gonna be paired up with Kindred or Bond. I usually pick Kindred.
-
Leader gang unite!
It's helped me and the entire team so much and I use it as a solo! It's definitely a rare perk to see and I get a huge grin on my face when I see others use it.
-
If I'm facing an obvious inexperienced killer or if they're having a very rough game, I will gladly let the killer chase me a bit and then give them free hooks throughout the trial. If the killer sacrifices me, so be it.
-
Play with randoms. Half the time I don't even get to use adrenaline since all 5 gens can't even get repaired. In red ranks ...
-
It's fine. How often do you even come across survivors running that build anyways? They're sacrificing a lot of perks in order to get some items during a trial. I often run it as a solo survivor and it's a lot of fun running through the map to see what items I get.
-
Nancy survivors are WAY worse.
-
This rank reset has been so bad for me. Constant level 20 survivor lobbies lol.
-
I always say Leader in these posts because I feel like it's such a great perk that's underrated, but for the sake of changing it up, I'll mention Visionary.
I love being able to see gens especially on maps where they're a bit tough to locate like Midwich/The Game/Treatment Center.
-
I've tried using this perk so many times and maybe out of 10 matches I have it on, I can only get it to work like 4 times. Either I'll be the first to get hooked and then proceed to get tunneled after being unhooked, or I can heal multiple people when I'm on my death hook which makes this perk worthless. I feel like it should have a token system with a max token limit of 2. Maybe then it'll be better to run it.
-
@Shirokinukatsukami said:
People already do that in the current build by stacking Open Handed and then using Kindred.
This was supposed to fix that problem because 4 Open Handed + Kindred was really ridiculous.
I thought the current open handed we have now can only be stacked twice?
-
I've been playing without it for months, and it's been a mixed bag. There's been a lot of matches where there are no obsession and every time the killer proceeds to tunnel the unhooked survivor like 90% of the time...in red ranks. I understand that it must be a breath of fresh air for a killer to load up in a lobby and not see an obsession created at the start of the match and you'd THINK that they'd play a little bit more fair, but unfortunately they don't.
And I can't blame them. It's the smart thing to do, but it isn't very fun for the survivors getting tunneled and sacrificed within minutes of the match starting. What they don't realize however is that this exact behavior is why survivors choose to run DS in the first place.
It's an endless back and forth cycle lol.
-
I can't wait to use the new fixated. I loved the perk, but never used it because I remain injured in most matches. This new change is pretty awesome!
-
Dwight. Have you seen him?
He's just waiting for you all to follow him!
-
I LOVE the basement. Nothing is more intense than saving someone from there for me other than end game NOED. lol
-
I swear I must be one of the few people that loves going against NOED. it's so intense trying to go for the save or hunting the totem. I wish more perks offered this type of intensity.
-
It's been pretty miserable as a solo queue lately. It's been a lot of rainbow ranks in the matches I'm playing and have constantly died on my first hook despite having Kindred! Usually just suicide on hook when I see nothing is being done.
-
I see a lot of pyramid heads. Red ranks.
-
No. It's fair game.
