The incap from eruption need to chance to blocked for sure
but i would like to see the trigger of the block be gens that have been worked on in the last 10 seconds or that the gens you kick block regardless if a survivor works on it or not but with reduced time.
Just changing incap to block still has the problem of the perk being insanely more effective vs solo's then swf

Its effectiveness is a balance concern. But the concept itself is a gameplay concern. It's not good for one survivor to be perpetually stuck in chase and then be out of the game, nor is it good for the other three survivors to be ignored by the killer.
When i talk about the concept i do mean the "I'm at 2 gens i need someone out now" type of tunneling, not the "first person i see is the only one to exist" type
If the hard tunneling wasen't effective you would barelly see it
Problem with your 22 second stun is you punish both of them
For me survivors should get a massive repair speedboost once one survivor is dead, you can fluff it as desperation, and a small repair speed penalty when they are hooked
So that if you focus everything on one survivor the other ones have a massive speedboost with none of them being close to getting out of the game and that spreading hooks by base is a slowdown
Instead of being why would i chase the person who hasn't been hooked they die faster it would be why would i chase the person that has been hooked they repair gens slower

You don't need them to win, you're right. But when looking at it from a competitive standpoint (because why wouldn't you?) you are without a doubt at a disadvantage.
Also about it being more of a "balance issue", nah. Take 2 new players, one who's willing to spend 100$+ on DLC and another who doesn't spend a dime. Who do you think is going to do better overall? The guy with SEVERLY limited options who has to grind thousands of hours only to still be missing 1/3 of the cast? (Idk if you play console, but on PC you only start with 5 killers) Or the guy who spends the dough to have the entire cast despite just starting, making him have MANY MANY more options to chose from compared to the other. You have to grind SIGNIFICANTLY less if you want to pay money.
Mobile games like Clash of Clans or Clash Royale are seen as P2W, some people don't even have a doubt in their mind once you ask them to question. They are also 2 games that you need to spend actual years to grind to achieve the highest point and the entirety of the games content if you don't want to pay. (I would know, I'm one of them. Been playing for about 6-7 years on both and still didn't reach the highest point on either) DbD is the EXACT same way, unless you're willing to spend more money ON TOP of the money you already spent on the base game, you aren't getting all the content the game has to offer.
The newer you are the worst it is, since you don't even know how to deal with anything. Watching videos or some one telling you will only get you so far since you need actual experience to fully understand what's going on. And as a new player I could see how demotivating it could be to see everyone with paid content while you're over here with the base game. That'll either lead them to 2 paths. They spend money themselves, or quit the game.
A new player could pick up nurse, do a 100 hour training montage, have more then enough to unlock 2 characters (more likely 3 at this point) and with unlocking plague and trickster have acces to the build starstruck, corrupt, infectious fright, no way out.
You have a chance of beating anyone with that build if you are good enough
What you are refering as is not pay to win but pay to skip. It's not the same.
-
Alright then,
DbD is pay to win but the advantage is so miniscule it isn't actually a problem

It could be a twenty second stun and it'd still be fine.
What's with this attitude of 'an anti-tunnel measure is fine, so long as it doesn't impede tunnelling'?
Cause tunneling as a concept isn't a problem, A survivor should not be immune to getting targeted after getting unhooked or they will use that as a weapon.
The concept of tunneling isn't a problem, how effective it is is.
The swing of 4 to 3 survivors need to be reduced massively and there needs to be an incentive to hook multiple different survivors. But a recently hooked survivor should not be able to stand in the killers face and not die as a result of it

The point is having the ability to pay for better things faster. DbD is still by definition pay to win.
I don't think it does
Especially seeing how it really doesn't take that long to unlock a character.
Not to mention that the base perks you can get are enough to win.
Sorry but you people are stretching out the definition of pay to win so much it barely has any meaning left.
If the pay to win of this game fixes itself after some gametime then it is not a problem. I wouldn't even begin to think of how to fix your version of pay to win without deleting all the licenced characters and making everything available at the start. I hope i don't need to explain what a bad change that would be
Point still stands that Nurse or Blight after what 25-30 hours of gameplay which for this game is nothing are available and with them you always stand a chance no matter how good you are

You can win a vast majority of your matches in Diablo 4, but once that guy with over $1000 seeped into the game walks in with everything before you simply because he paid money into the game - you lose.
That's what pay to win means. Not just "Because you can get it for free at some point therefore it's not pay to win".
Pay to win also means being able to get the best stuff FASTER.
Yes against the $1000 guy in diablo you don't stand a chance
That never happens in dbd. Be a good nurse or blight with their best addons you never don't stand a chance. Regardless of perks you unlocked by paying money

no, blight is not free, free means it comes with the base game, does blight come with the base game? No. U need to buy the DLC of farm 9k shards wich takes a decent amount of grind. bedies then u have teh perks, Onryio with her Call of Brine, Nemesis with eruption, Cenobite with DeadLock as u can see the best perks in the game are pay to win, save the best for last from Myers ( he may be old and the perk was given a thousand times in the sanctuary but still, pay to get normally) is not that hard to understand. the game is pay to win as killer, as survivor is different cause the best perks are indeed free, with bill and meg only u can already create an almost full meta build could add David if u dont like sprint.
many people dont like the grind taht takes to buy things besides what are u gonna do buy everything by playing? do you have any idea about how many hundreds of hours even thousands it takes to buy everything with shards?.
No... free means you don't need to pay monetary vallue for it
You people just keep changing the definition to suit your needs
By that definition every single perk in the game is pay to win cause you need to get enough bloodpoints to unlock them
Also if the argument is about pay to win you don't need to unlock everything. I'm pretty sure you can make a nurse build capable of winning the mayority of the time with one or 2 character unlocks.
Pretty sure you could do it without any unlocks either too

just because the best out of 30 killers is free doesnt mean ther arent other killers that are every strong and way easier to use and master to0 get similar results... and u need to pay to get them, and no.... the game god forvid it goes free then it will get floaded with hackers.
Nurse and blight, conciddert the top dogs are free. Just because wesker can get simular results means nothing.
You can win the vast mayority of the time without paying for more then the base game. Therefore not pay to win.
It's really not that hard
-
Still a big fan of the suggestion that was made here once of stun for 3 seconds disable killer power for 6 seconds or something
5 second stuns are to harsh for the weakest killers. 3 seconds is nothing for the strongest
-
The gate gets locked for a minute
The egc last 4 minutes if nobody is down/hooked, longer if they are
You have slightly more then 2 and a half minutes before your faith is sealed
Why did it take you so long to touch a gate?
Edit: Misremembered this, EGC takes 2 minutes to a maximum of 4 when someone is down/hooked

Eruption, Call of Brine, Deadlock
all locked behind a pay wall.
You don't need those to win. They make it easier but pay to win specifically is that you can't win without paying
A good nurse or blight can easilly win the mayority of their pub matches without perks, even more if they add the free perks
Their are 2 mayor oversights you "DbD is paytowin" people make
First you only look at the game from a competitive standpoint. But that's not what happens if you play DbD. The skill of what you face varries. In actual pay to win games you come across a roadblock where everything you face is too hard unless you have the paid for winstrat. That's not the case in dbd
And you also state it from the viewpoint of m1 killers that they can't win. But that's not a pay to win issue that's a balance issue. If there is a free or unlockable thing available that's stronger you can't complain about pay to win

Call it what ever you like you didn't hurt my feelings you made me angry because I spent money on a product that I could have payed 60 to 100 dollars for " which I wouldn't had, but I'm sure others have" to find out all the perks are in the system already and after buying the dlc you still couldn't buy the skins for them. I thought they would unlock once said dlc was purchased.
No one said anyone was wanting to use physical violence again assumption, but what I was saying is you wouldn't say it to my face :) TC
Most people are smart enough to actually check what they are buying.
Thinking the skins would unlock after you bought the chapter especially isn't very bright of you seeing how the whole reason you had to go to third parties to buy the chapter is cause bhvr can't make money out of it anymore.
So no need to get angry. Other people think before acting. Just like most people when they are in an argument talk about what is being argued instead of trying to make stuff up.
Not being smart enough to understand how copyright works isn't a problem though. It was that arrogant statement of "if i can't have it nobody can" that made people call you out for being spoiled and entitled

You don't understand, do you.
That both sides have busted stuff and you only want to see one side of it
I do understand
-
But that's exactly how it works....
Pay to win is that the best options are behind a paywall
They aren't so it isn't pay to win
You can win the vast mayority of your matches with the base game and any unlockables you get by playing it if you're good enough.
-

Notice how it's predominantly survivors complaining about killers.
Being able to stack up 12 health states, predropping every pallet while rushing gens with BNP & Prove Thyself, always knowing where the killer is with Fogwise is totally normal though.
For the 100th time we're just gonna cry to nerf everything a killer can have so that killers stop playing again or resort to the dirtiest tactics available. Surely that won't circle around into the next best worst meta.
At this point I am convinced that the healthiest move possible for this game's balance is to disable all perks without exception for a Month and draw actual conclusions from the resulting data.
Watch me get laughed at tho because read the first line of this post.
It's kinda a no brainer that it's predominantly the people who play against something that will complain about it
-
I don't think that's needed
Survivors can lose a match purely because of their teammates so the hatch is there for them
When a killer loses it most likely is on them

I'm pretty sure a good chunk of this sentence was copy-pasted from a cherry-picked Google search result.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/M0H9YL43FEF0/image.png
Bottling up negative feelings can also be harmful. Hang on, let me find a Google search result summary I can paste in here...
Also fun fact. Most people aren't native english speakers and i tend to use google as a easy way to make sure i use the correct words and i also have learned whenever i say something to quickly confirm i'm not spreading misinformation which to me is something people really should do way more often
Bottling up emotions is bad as well but ranting/venting without somebody constructive to listen to it and offer advice just leads to solidifying the negativity leading to making the stress situations worse when whatever causes it happens again
Going to a profesional or a loved one that's actually willing to listen and offer helpfull advice is something that helps
Doing it to a bunch of randoms who more likely are going to dismiss you which the op even put in his original post predicting it only makes things worse
Hope i was able to make what i'm trying to say clear and 100% original cause saying something in a way that has been said before obviously invalidates it. Not like they have entire books filled with quotes made by people
-
Did you know that ranting/venting isn't actually good for us and when done wrong can lead to heightened stress and physical health concerns.

And what if I don't care? I was facecamped, and tunneled, all game, from the blasted first hook. The killer did not spare a single glance toward other survivors either, even though he had plenty of opportunities. Now that I'm, once again, down, on death hook, and about to be hooked 3rd fkn time in a row, why can't I leave even a little bit faster? Why force me to watch ugly tunneling mug and suffer from anger-induced brain aneurism in the process?
So when you come across someone that wants to hardtunnel you out instead of making it harder for them you save them the time for hooking you and in also lose whatever you have gotten so far
if you hate tunnelers don't help them at your own expense for being able to leave a couple or seconds earlier. Just alt tab if you don't want to watch
Also if a game makes you suffer from anger-induced brain aneurism you need to listen to what your brain tells you and stop playing. It's not shame to admit a game isn't for you

So if I've lost a StarCraft match, the game is effectively done, I have no army, not enough time/resources to make another, and all that's left is for me to wait for my opponent to destroy every last one of my buildings (The normal win condition), it's poor sportsmanship for me to say "I concede"?
The game's community has the opposite stance; if you say GG and quit, they call you a good sport, but if you try to prolong the match by hiding a building in the outskirts of the map, they'll usually call you a bad sport.
Same goes for most card games I've played; if you know you have nothing to stop your opponent with, it's often considered bad manners to try and prolong the match anyway. But saying "I concede"? Nobody bats an eye.
DbD killers also can open the gate once the gens are done and the game is effectivelly over
So quiting to prevent a already lost match from dragging out is already in the game
And it doesn't change anything that you end the game for 4 times as many people as the games you said
To many people would just leave the moment something didn't go their way
-
Most other pvp game without a team are 1v1
If you leave only one other person is affected and more likely then not finding another one isn't a long endeaver
In DbD you end the match for 4 other people
-
A good example of a strong but healthy perk.
-
I believe there is also a slight increase of rarity in the stuff you get the higher prestige you are but i'm not sure
-
I really wish chase perks were better
They make things more interresting then just add time to a match

There is no reason to name call and belittle someone who you don't even know. That is all.
There is a difference between namecalling and calling someone out
Complaining about not being able to get a product with a stance of "if i can't get it, nobody should" and when people show you how you can still get you proceed to say how pointless the product you wanted to take away from people who payed for it is is pretty much the text book definion of being a spoiled brat.
I didn't call you spoiled brat to hurt your feelings, i did it cause you were acting like one.
Meanwhile all you had was some random shot in the dark with a baseless assumption in a sad attempt to hurt me.
There is nothing the screen between us is preventing you from doing. Except ofcourse you trying to beat me up.
And if that is the case that you feel that i am braver behind a screen cause you can't use physical violence to win a argument then you calling me child is ironic to say the least.
-
If you play for several hours every night and not have any fun whatsoever then it's time to ask the question if maybe DbD isn't for you.
Are people really trying rob you of fun or are they just playing the game that you don't find fun
-

Pointless in the fact they are non customizable, if I made a movie, it would be how someone likes to name call to feel big and to make someone else feel small. You have no right to call anyone spoiled brat unless you want to be called a picked on kid your whole life that was probably to scared to stand up for yourself so you knock on other on the internet because you are hidden by a screen maybe because you are still a little scared child?
Damn i've seem to have struck a nerve
-
Did you have that match like 4 years ago and decided to wait untill now to complain about it?
The situation you are discribing can't happen.
If you are the last person against the killer and the hatch is closed the gates are powered automatically
-
Probably unpopular opinion but i feel that the 4% self unhook should just be removed
Rework slippery meat and only allow self unhooks when they can't fail
It's just an outdated mechanic that's being used now to ragequit without penalty. I feel a lot more survivors would try harder if quiting wasen't this easy
-
For killers i don't think
Survivors had a couple that could stand a chance but i can't think of any killer perk that comes even close to eruption
Also I love your name!

You'd be surprised how often people have been wrong on things here.
I still remember people calling me mad when i said that it takes a little short of a minute to bless a hex totem with TotH. Even one of the more popular streamers got that one wrong.
Or how many people believed 4.4 killers had way worse map pressence then 4.6 killers untill people put the numbers together and noticed there is barrely a difference
Or another funny one how everybody believed rat liver was demo's best addon untill it was found out it didn't work like people thought it worked and it practically did nothing
It has got to a point that when you see something on these forums you can assume it's wrong untill proven otherwise

Welp, they are really pointless, the only worthy thing is playing as the gorgon, he's kinda fun, thats the only plus to having this dlc. I payed for gorgon only lol. Would be nice if we actually could dress em though.
...
So first you are throwing a hissy fit (at the wrong people) for not being able to get them and saying if you can't get them they should be deleted cause of "fairness"
And now that you have them they are "pointless"
If i ever make a movie starring a spoiled arrogant brat as the main villain can i call you?

Ow you got them nice
Now how would you feel that now after you bought they got deleted
Cause that is what you suggested right?
Or is that off the table now that you have them?
-
Play with your food
Not many survivors expect you to be that tiny bit faster that turns a close stun into a hit
It also promotes the good habbit of ignoring one survivor untill someone is dead
-
Sorry for your loss, I wish you and your family all the strengt in the world.
That said. You are saying people should be able to give their opinion but also saying others aren't allowed to give their opinions on it
If you are allowed to state your frustration about certain killers actions, why shouldn't others be allowed to state that they feel the killers didn't do anything wrong
If you can express that you feel people are unkind others can express they feel it's entitlement
You are kinda asking for people to respect your opinion while not being allowed to give a opinion of their own
-
Did any actually confirm that they read the bio? Or are you just assuming they did?
You keep saying it's not about them not giving you a free escape and then saying they are "unkind" cause they killed you... and thus not giving you a free escape.
What is it you wanted from people then? Cause i'm not following
-
I don't quite agree with top tier but i do think that people (including myself) who thought she was bottom 3 have to admit they were wrong
I'm not going to believe that she scores high on killrates with only the condemned strategy which requires rare addons if you want to do it to it's fullest potential
There has to be something more there
I think it's about time that this community (the loud part atleast) realises that it's not the devs who are clueless about the game.
It's us.
-
I think your view of what is and isn't unkind is flawed
You just assume that people read your bio and that they are doing it just to spite you.
Most likely those people never read it and are just playing the game as normal. I know i wouldn't read it. I'm not even in the lobby most of the time
Wouldn't surprise me if the tunnel/camp claims are exagurated as well.
You can't tell random strangers how they should play the game for your benifit. That's not how kindness works. Kindness is something you recieve, not something you demand.
-
As much as this is a huge step in the right direction, thinking solo is going to be on par with swf now is farfetched to say the least
Those little icons won't tell you when your teammate is about to go down so you can avoid eruption
Seeing that a survivor is in chase doesn't tell you where in chase
Etc...
-
I want to see a map someday that has a building with only breakable walls

Woohoo!
This will help the game so much
A giant leap in the right direction

Many players in this game are not really good. And for some reason, the DBD-Community as a whole is not able to accept own mistakes. This goes for both sides - most of the time it is something else why they lost. As Survivor this is pretty easy, you can just blame your teammates.
As Killer, you dont have teammates to blame. So you blame SWF, it is the scapegoat for the Killer losing. Some big content creators do it as well, most of them really killer-sided. In some Chats the Word "SWF" is always brought up with "toxic", like, there is "toxic SWF" and nothing more.
And for those players, content creator or not, SWF is the reason why they lost. You know, you just went against a 4 man-SWF as Huntress. You made some bad calls. Missed half of your Hatchets. All of them escape. But it cannot be your own mistakes, it cannot be all the Hatchets missed, it was the SWF why you lost.
It is honestly a big shitshow that players in DBD cannot accept their own mistakes. But yet here we are.
I do agree that many players lie to themself how good they are and are quick to blame others before themself
But as with all good lies there is a hint of truth in there
There is no denying that swf with coms gives a huge advantage that the game doesn't give by base.
It really isn't a stretch of the imagination to say there are matches that killer players lose that they would have easily won if communication wasn't a factor
-
This is very helpfull thanks!
I always assumed it always spawned 3 chains, didn't know it was affected by the number of survivors standing

Points as in MMR points.
Killers who have consistent high hook games are objectively more skilled than players who get low hook games. It doesn't mean those other Killers are bad, just that it's objectively harder to play for Hooks.
So killers who get 3 kills with 3 hooks and facecamping should get less experienced survivors so they have it easier and survivors who don't know how to deal with camping should be the ones who face the most campers?
Mmr isn't a personal badge of how "skilled" you are it's a way to find the right opponents for you. A killer who gets a lot of kills by camping 100% should be facing stronger survivors
Current system isn't perfect but yours would bring more problems. It's a lot more complicated then just "tracking skill with hooks"
