Huntress is not fine. She is far from being fine. She was added when survivors could replenish their sprint burst while running and there was a lot more pallets on the map. She needs nerfed just like survivors have been nerfed. 5 hatchets and almost no cooldown is not balanced.
-
It is the most unhealthy thing ever added. Not exaggerating. You are right in that it carries bad killers that can't apply pressure and it turns experienced killers into literal gods. It needs nerfing not just a little but a lot.
Killers are now way overpowered. And it is not good.

Then don't play the game if you are going to DC
If a restaurant had that attitude then their business would certainly falter.

I watched some of the 2020 video, that was some good survivor gameplay but it doesn't mean anything. It isn't representative of what normally happens. I could tell the way the killers moved that they were noobs. He didn't pressure gens and probably didn't use perks that allowed him to chase someone for so long. It is just a very bad example to look at and say the game is survivor sided when it is not.

It only got worse after the DC penalty was removed, so survivors could once again DC without any consequence. However, most killers have not been changed since then. This is just people who can't handle losing, nothing more. They need to be banned.
No, they want a 'fair' chance at winning and if you have massive slugger with infectious freight with undying with 5 gens still up, then that is a miserable experience.
The DC penalty will just cause people to kill themselves on hook. Not fun.

Survivors used to never DC or kill themselves,
I'm sorry, what? Survivors quite famously DCd and suicided at the slightest inconvenience.
But it is gradually getting worse as killer becomes more and more unbearable to play against. People play to have a fair chance at winning.
-
When you have four years of continuous nerfing to one side and continuing buffing to the other side, you are going to have some feeling disgusted on one side. Survivors used to never DC or kill themselves, but it has escalated within the past year and thats a warning sign to BHVR.

Do you know what that would do to the games balance?
Very little if any. If it did, it would be a good thing because I am thinking killrates are too high and devs are silent on the matter. Morale is very low amonst most survivors with all the slugging, oppressive slow-gen perks, aura perks, killers are sweating and I'm finding a lot of survivors dc'ing or killing themselves.

Are you advocating for old DS to come back?
I would love to see the obsession be able to use DS whenever they want to use it. It would make the obsession have a little more importance with the halloween DLC.

So just leave them? Even though I’m not actually tunneling and they’re the ones throwing themselves at me by putting themselves into what is intended to be a dangerous place? Do you realize how stupid of an IDEA that is?
Why should a dangerous place mean they have to be defenseless all the time? They might be baiting you so you can either take the stun and then chase them or go after someone else.

What? What kind of Survivors are you going up against? Smart Survivors stay in the locker where the Killer can’t hit them unless they’re trying to use Head On.
Ok... you’re either new or trolling. 60 seconds is a LOOONG time in DBD. You can complete most of a gen in that time. If you sit there at the locker, you will lose so much pressure. See how bad your “strategy” actually is?
60 seconds passes quickly when you chase someone else.
-
I would bet everything BBQ is used more than DS or Lithe.
-
Doctor is bad but Freddy is worse. It's why the devs should stop listening to killers when it comes to buffing killers.
-
Either Freddy or Huntress! Huntress needs to be nerfed in several ways. She has never been looked at since her release and survivors have faced numerous nerfs. Her hatchet hitbox is the most unfair thing I've ever seen playing games.
-
It is a little weak for what it is. Killers should be thankful it is not a pre-hook strike. To be truly decisive, the survivor should decide when it is used. It is weaker than killer perks. It is very situational and helps against tunneling killers.

DS is getting nerfed whatever you like it or not, too many people are advocating for it. There are multiple devs saying when they released it that it should be anti tunneling perk. Scott jund proves that in his videos as well. So you cannot now flip flop that it was never anti tunneling perk.. old new was also anti momentum perk 😂😂
Games can die when they listen to their community. The community doesn't always know best.
Lets assume the devs listens to all the entitled killers and once again nerfs DS for its very so slight anti-momentum effects of a killer trying to killrush, then they need to explain to everyone why killers have a zillion anti-momentum, anti-objective perks, and nerfing an anti-momentum survivor perk when killrates are so astonishingly high.

Right.. then we should advocate that both the perks get nerfed. Sounds fair right. But honestly DS needs small tweaks that it disabled once you go touch a generator. You obviously aren't being tunneled
Giving it tweaks to make it convenient for one side is wrong. Giving it tweaks so the killer can abuse them is wrong. It's not strictly an anti-tunnel perk. You have something in your hand, it shouldn't disappear for arbitrary reasons to make it convenient for the killer.
Tinkerer should have never been buffed though, it is now unfair.
-
In the grand scheme, they mostly listen to killers for sure. Survivors have continuously been nerfed since 2016 in so many ways. There's been a few killer nerfs here and there (Nurse and Hillbilly) but overall they have all been buffed. With all the perks killers have at their disposal, it is no longer about skill to win, they use perks to find gens being worked on, auras to chase, and regress and stop the objective with ease. A fairly decent killer using good addons, and the best oppressive killer perks all require a top SWF sweating a genrush to just barely stand a chance to open the gates.

Comparing tinkerer and DS is laughable. We all know DS is miles above tinkerer in terms of power. If devs announced tomorrow that devs will nerf both DS and tinkerer survivors would throw fit.
And rightfully so, DS has already been nerfed so many times it has lost the meaning of decisive strike. Further nerfs to one side to increase the killrates even higher is what is laughable. Tinkerer directly punishes the survivor for doing the objective and rewards killer with undetectable status for doing nothing. Certainly sounds so much stronger than DS to me.

Fun is subjective. The chase is the most fun for you, you can't speak for everyone else. When playing as Survivor, I find it fun to try to avoid the Killer as much as possible while doing objectives and helping my team. The most fun I have is being able to break line of sight during a chase and sneak away.
As a Killer, I can tell you that I don't find it super fun to be looped around the same strong window or pallet over an over in an obstacle course that has been designed to give a half competent Survivor every advantage in a chase, waiting for them to make a mistake. Nor do I like it when I get blinded during an animation lock, where I can't do anything about it. Sure, the counter is to not break the pallet, but then I just waste more time and make things even more difficult by not breaking it. Maybe it is more fun with the top 3/4 Killers but not everyone likes to play them.
Seems like you just like facing Killers where you don't have to work as hard to counter and take it easy during a match.
I actually would like to play stealth sometimes but that's not possible from my experience because killers have too many aura perks, tracking perks, (ie. strider on spirit). I think all these aura perks, tracking perks, gen slowdown perks, are too powerful on a fast killer that can end chases quickly especially. Survivor needs a counter perk to turn off aura perks to make stealth an option. Right now there is no counter to such, just got to be a beast at looping or you are going to die very quickly.
-
What some gamers. But hypocrisy in the message was astounding.
That's a good example of the power of (3) slowdown perks and an aura perk on a fast killer. The perks he called "second chance", the heavily nerfed insta-gen addons, and probable coordination still didn't stand a chance.

When a generator is close to being completed and a healthy survivor is on it I usually don't have the luxury of just giving them two smacks.
If I hit them what usually happens is they just end up completing the generator whilst I'm recovering from that hit.
Let me put it to you in a very basically if you are comfortable enough to go on a gen or a totem and just casually sit there you are not being tunnelled so you have no need to have the decisive strike time as still going.
If you think you're at risk of the killer immediately coming back and tunneling you don't get on a generator
Also if you're going to try to bring up the US vs them mentality you can't really whine about creating situations when you were complaining about the undying and ruin combo.
What stops a wraith from hiding, watching, and waiting for you to touch a gen and then tunnel? You want survivor to not touch a gen for 60 seconds? I am not allowed to work on the objective but you can? Sounds like a horrible balance idea. Survivors aren't supposed to be totally defenseless.
-
You are calling them 'worst' because you have heard a streamer say that. I would say they are the most fair. Requires effort on their part to win. Chase is the most fun part of the game so embrace these killers, including Myers. Normal speed killers with counterplay is a good thing. I hope the devs don't abandon what made their game successful. It's not a battle arena game where a coordinated genrush is required to ever win.
Both are very good killers.
-
If you killrush, the entity is displeased. You didn't play properly. Survivors are supposed to have some hope.
-
I'll be soooo happy when he is nerfed.

1) It goes off on a generator is getting close to being completed.
2) the killer is not always going to be in a good position to take advantage of it.
3) even then it can still be countered by the survivors using their eyes
4) the killer can only deal with one thing at a time meaning if two tinkerer notifications go off the killer could not deal with both
If someone gets off a hook and decides to complete a generator that is right by the hook that is for example say at 90% The Killers left in an awkward situation if they try to pull that Survivor off the generator they get hit with decisive strike.
If the survivor didn't have decisive strike they probably wouldn't have made such a bad and risky play to begin with.
Decisive strike is not comparable to tinkerer
That doesn't matter because you are still able to stop the objective from being completed because a perk punished the other side for doing it. A fast killer will always be able to get there. How is that fair? Imagine if DS could be used "multiple times" to stop your objective regardless of being tunneled. That's the power of tinkerer.
DS is only a one time use. Tinkerer has no way to turn it off and can be used multiple times. Totally unfair.
If you suspect DS, why aren't you hitting them instead of grabbing them? Killers love to invent these scenarios that try to portray a perk as being too strong when in fact you are using the fully meta loadout that is oppressive.

I'm sorry but if you recently get unhooked and your first decision is to work the generator that is literally right by the hook you can't exactly shocked Pikachu face when if the killer comes back they go after you.
Here's an idea after getting unhooked how about you make sure you're safe before you just go off and do objectives.
If you feel like The Killers going to come back don't touch an objective or heal someone try to leave the area just in case they starts tunneling you. This way you make it harder for you to get to tunneled and you also have ds strike just in case the killer still finds you.
You shouldn't reward bad play styles with immunity. The problem with decisive strike is that people tend to use it to play a certain way that would often get them killed if they did that without the protection
Explain Tinkerer.
Punishes the survivor for doing the objective and rewards killer for doing nothing. Killers tend to play a certain way with their perks but that is completely OK right?
-
Nobody, including Otz himself is asking the devs to give killrates before coming up with a "community patch" that nerfs survivors more and makes even more survivor perks less fun. 3-4 kills per game and still aren't happy.
-
It might not be possible to perfectly balance but it should be for the majority and right now it is not. Killers have been buffed and the perks and are now too strong. Casuals don't stand a chance against even a mediocre killer. Too many aura perks, slow down perks, not enough defenses on maps given the kind of killers are in the game now. Continuing to balance around the top will be the death of DBD. Watching hundred hour survivors constantly die in 10 seconds every match gets boring fast.
-
Buffing survivor and improving the fun factor should be a higher priority than match imprisonment.
-
I'll never stop believing they are killer biased. It is absurd. All you have to do is look at the trends. In 2021, survivors will have no pallets, nowhere to hide, and inability to run.
-
The game becomes predictable after a while, you know if the game is going to end in an unfair loss. At least on steam, I have also noticed some bleeding in the player counts. The devs better start paying attention to the fun factor on the survivor side before it is too late. I know, for example, there is zero fun versing a fully loaded spirit with addons, and a gen slowdown aura build with Hex: Undying. It is about as broken as it can get.
-
It definitely needs to be buffed to unlimited. Hiding your aura all the time should definitely be a perk.
-
Really, killer is not supposed to kill everyone every game.
-
You don't need any more help with stopping the gens. You already have too much help, the killrates are certainly way too high for my liking.
I'm sure the next map rework coming will feature some new exciting deadzones.
-
Thanks for clarifying
-
I'd say make it like Tinkerer and revert it back to the previous version so that it is truly a decisive strike as it should be.
Tinkerer: Punishes the survivor for doing the objective and rewards the killer for doing absolutely nothing.
-
No, only killers.

- Maps were very survivor sided back in the days, small maps were needed.
- Fair enough.
- Are you talking about badham? That map seems to be doing fine.
- Needed.
- Needed, it made infinites on certain maps, and had a passive effect which other exhaustion perks didn't have.
- Not needed.
- Needed, survivors were able to hold the game hostage, and had way too much time to make altruistic plays.
- Needed.
But not needed for the majority of the playerbase.
EGC: A killer standing on a hill watching the doors or pacing back and forth a short distance makes it impossible to open a door.

What were these "unnecessary survivor nerfs"?
Smaller maps, huge deadzones, less loopable tiles on the redesigned maps, toolboxes made worthless, self-care, balanced landing, less gen progression bonus for hitting a great skillcheck, EGC, nerf to gen progression when multiple survivors working on a gen, and so many more.
-
Slugging isn't the problem, it is the devs fault for buffing killer too much indirectly through a series of unnecessary survivor nerfs alongside too many killer buffs. Look at Freddy and Doctor. Huntress has never been touched since she was released and look how much survivors have been nerfed since then.
Either play with friends or play ez mode killer if you don't like being slugged all the time.
-
It needs the nerf hammer so fast. A hotfix should have already been released.
Nobody should be able to automatically win for throwing on 3 specific perks.
-
Just play and not trying so hard for the 4K. Sometimes you'll kill them all and sometimes you won't but if you don't try so hard it is more fun.
-
Half of all killer perks are aura perks and you are complaining about OoO.

Everyone talks about “casual” survivors and how it should be balanced around them. How about the “casual” killers? Should they be able to have fun too?
would simply having an AI killer fix the aforementioned “balance around the majority”? Then the killer can be tuned all the way down and a group of swf can run in circles and hold m1 as long as they want.
Casual killers do win. Balancing killers around a top SWF is a wrong move. That is closing the door to new players, or casuals trying to enjoy the game in solitude. Nobody wants to play with a zero chance of opening the gates and it is almost to that point. A killer with Undying, survivors are hitting the floor like dead flies. The game would have a much higher playerbase if it was friendlier for everyone. Killers get mad at survivors for using meta perks all the time but there is no way to possibly win with Urban Evasion and the other stealth perks when every killer has a full load out of aura perks, slow down perks, etc.
-
They should balance around the "majority". A group of casuals should have a fair shot at winning.
-
No matter how much people hate on the devs, they have updated it religiously since it was released with constant updates, content, DLCs . Not many games have such commitment. I think players for the most part appreciate it.

If I remember right remember me was nerfed because of EGC. BBQ and the killer meta perks are still the same but tinkerer had a huuge buff.
Meanwhile, DS was nerfed 3-5 times, self-care nerfed, balanced landing nerfed heavy, leader, etc...several others and that's only mentioning perks.

So it ok to Nerf all of the best perk killers use but not survivors like now only good killer perks are ruin tinkered and maybe still pop and some others but survivors got better like ds unbreakable sprint burst dead hard little and more so don't tell me survivors don't need nerf because they always get buff and killers always get Nerf but I guess you a ds player who always want killers to lose.
What ?? Survivors have always been nerfed every year. No meta killer perks have been nerfed. Tinkerer just had a HUUUUGE buff. It's absurd now on a fast killer.
