Your view on the anti-camp mechanic is a lil off.
The anti-camp mechanic wasn't introduced to "prevent camping" it was created so that if camped you could unhook yourself and have a chance at greater gameplay.
"Camping" wasn't what was being changed, what was being changed is a survivor play experience that was get found, have one chase and hang on hook for 2mins of game time then game over. <- That's the specific scenario that was changed.
This was explained by the devs on multiple occasions. Camping is still possible but now as survivor you have a self reliant way to rejoin the game if face camped in the most egregious way.
A lot of players can't see the forest for the trees though and think just because there is a mechanic that offers a counter to the play experience of being "face camped" that somehow means defending a hook in invalid play and shouldn't be allowed at all. Which frankly isn't the case.
Even if they did have that in mind, it just did not work, since Killers just camp just in a distance where you can not unhook yourself at all. So what is the point you make when the killers who camp exactly knows how to avoid the unhook? Maybe it is you who kinda not see the forest out of all the trees?
And yea maybe the MMR is a thing to consider here I sure will have struggle too when my MMR is high, but for me it just is no reason to do that stuff and that is it. You all can play as you want, but still I think it is very much when you can not play a single round anymore without any killers do that stuff. It just destroyed the game and is way no fun. If you all have to win so badly that you use that stuff just do it, I never said you have to stop cause I am annoyed by it. I just ranted over it. And not only does the killers who obviously play like that come out to defend it with any reason they come in mind, no it just showed me, that no one at least a bit reconsider to think about it. No one who does it will stop it that is what you guys showed me now. And that is fine I will just do not try to say anything about it anymore since it is pointless.
I just try to play on even I think it will not be any fun anymore I will see if it someday will change, but till then have fun guys, do as you please but do not wonder, when no one grants you any GGs anymore okay? Cause it is no GG to do it all the time and it never will be.

I never see camping whatever mm/level im playing at. Tunneling is common game but litterally see no camping. Hardly any Weskers too 👍
I hope you will keep it like that I have camping almost every game now. Slugging not so much and tunneling is like 60/40 of the time, maybe 70/30. If it is just one person they tunnel I would understand it, but when I have killers who tunnel most of the time they just tunnel everyone

You think this is something? You think this is bad?
Earlier today, I played against an Insidious camping Chucky.
The player took one good look at mini-Blight, and decided the best course of action was Insidious camping.
Yea it is just too much. I really do not know really when I had a really good killer in a round for the last days now. They all just camp, tunnel or slug. And that with pure intention and so you can not unhook yourself. It really is so damn annoying, playing survivor at the moment is absolutley a waste of time, cause you do not have any good killers at all

Because it's lame to sweat your butt off chasing people through tons of interconnected safety while their teammates blow through an easy-to-complete objective.
Than maybe the game is not the right for you? Because surprise that is what the survivors have to do. Imagine playing a game of chess and be mad the queen can move like she does and that is why you say nah now I can throw my pawns to destroy your tower. You basically say because they play how they have to, you start to become dirty, and that is okay, because they play how they have to so, why should I keep staying fair? XDD

I'll try to keep this a bit shorter.
I can clearly say if I can get 36k bloodpoints out of a game where I played nice why do you think you will get much less by play fair?
The reason is simply that you do not trigger the BP events that give you the most points as often or at all, if you lose. Hooking, chasing and killing survivors give a killer a lot of BP. If you lose, then the chances are that you got less hooks, had less time in the match and therefore couldn't chase as much and naturally didn't kill them all. You still get the other BP events like normal. 20k BP for a killer match is very little. There are some killers that easily get 30k-35k points a match, if they win. Most notably Blight. Nobody stops you from using BP offerings in that case either.
If I have a bad round with survivors and the round would be lose I can accept that.
That's great. Really. If you can do that, then more power to you. I try to keep calm myself too and remember that it's just a game. But we cannot take ourselves as the standard. Otherwise, we wouldn't have any kind of competitive environment in DBD. Being competitive means doing everything you can in order to win. This wouldn't be possible / necessary though, if we all just accepted to lose. Which would then mean, that both sides would stop trying as soon as things don't look well. If winning doesn't matter, why try?
If I am not good enough to get good survivors, then I have to get better it is just that simple, and if I do not get better I have to options either deal with it and still try to get better, or became a camper, tunneler and slugger, sure that will help me get more on the hook maybe, but yet I will not get any better and on top of that I make the survivors gonna hate the game, cause the likelyhood that the next killer is the same or even worse is more then 95% if not even more.
Again, this argument is flawed because we do not have a definition of what it means to play good (so it's subjective) and we do not have a definition for skill balance either. So one might think they play a lot better than whoever they play against and deserve to win even when the match doesn't go well. This could be the objective truth. After all DBD isn't a perfectly balanced game. Sometimes you win by playing the easy way rather than the hard way. Depending on your individual definition of what is and isn't skillful this means, that you could lose against people, who in comparison to you aren't good.
You also should not take responsibility for things that are completely unrelated to you.
The part with the pallet Freddy I do not get.
That was an example of what playing "nice" gets you. The survivors you go against don't play any different and the same happens when you do or don't tunnel. They have no reason to play nice just because you do. They will still play just like always with the difference that you may get a few extra teabags and some not so friendly tales about your family in the end game chat. Because for some reason this game has a problem with sore winners more than sore losers.
That is no double standard sry.
It is. The killer's only objective is to kill survivors. Why is it bad when they do that? Survivors could do the same we expect killers to do. Do one gen to 33%, then go to the next and repeat that until the gens are done. But that sounds ricidulous because you of course want gens done, so that you don't have to worry about them anymore. A tunneling killer follows the same logic. Why would they hook different survivors? The game doesn't tell you to do that and it's less efficient than tunneling. You also risk not finding that survivor again when you would need to. Survivors could also run around the map and do totems and loot chests. But they have no reason to do that, so they won't. Instead they focus on progressing the match as efficiently as possible. It's the equivalent of tunneling. Only we do not raise our fingers at survivors that play efficient. This is the double standard.
That is no skill it is still the absence of it, cause if you only get a survivor by camp or tunnel him it is not skill it is just lazy.
It's safe. Just as doing gens and nothing else. Or pre dropping pallets and holding Shift + W instead of looping. Both are extremely common in supposedly high MMR games and tournaments. But we equate these with skill because they work so well. So by that definition tunneling, camping and slugging are skill too because they follow the same logic. Anytime you use different norms but don't disclose that and pretend like it isn't the case, that is a double standard. And it happens with almost every argument against tunneling.
Haha we may can talk about it in dm but it is a lot at the moment. I have some stuff which I go along with you and some where I do not. But for here it is to many to say haha
-
Haha just as I said, as soon as I play my very first survivor round now, there is one of these disgusting campers. He not only camped ANY SURVIVOR ON HOOK, he does it just as much away that you can not unhook yourself. Where in the world is that any skill?
By the way he played Trickster, if you have to use that stuff with Trickster you are extremly lost.

If you see you will not get all or any of them why not try to show you want to play nice to just get some bloodpoints out of it or stuff?
The question is, why would you try? You're going to lose anyway, so why not get it over with and play the next game? A match in which you already know, that it doesn't matter what you do because you can't win anyway, is not fun for most people. You don't get anything for playing nice. Mostly not even a "gg". It's more likely that your opponent will relish in the power trip and double down on rubbing it in to make you feel bad. Which feels even worse, when you try to be nice because then you don't deserve it. The game doesn't reward you for that either. If you lose, then you'll likely get less points out of the match then if you win. No matter how you win.
Also, every one of us has a bit of an ego and anything that damages that ego will lead to us getting upset and irrational. Some people are better in controlling these emotions than others but for the most part it hurts our pride, if we wanted to win and then lost. That's also why many people constantly aim to improve themselves. In that situation, you will likely not feel like joking around anymore. So that option doesn't exist for a good portion of players. What remains are the 2 options I listed before.
That will maybe also help that the survivors do not be so rushing, just maybe if a survivor do see that the killers became calmer and do not rely on these tactics to win, they maybe became also calm and do not go all in so much.
I'd say we had that before. Not because killers played calm but because killers were so weak, that survivors could relax anyway. This is not something I want to go back to. The era of bully squads is over and that's a good thing. It's also wishful thinking that this would only lead to survivors playing nicer. Because survivors like winning just as much as killers do, so they wouldn't stop. I mean, try it yourself. Play pallet Freddy without perks and send yourself to GoJ. Now, don't tunnel, camp or slug. I did this a few times and every time it ended with the survivors rushing me anyway and enjoying the power trip. Even in solo queue you notice when a killer plays Freddy, you weren't by any perks, they use dream pallets and have had 1 hit by the time 4 gens popped. But they don't stop doing gens. Because they have no reason to.
This by the way comes from someone, who tries to play nice as killer. I follow the categorical imperative. I would not want to be tunneled, camped or slugged, so I avoid it. But that's why I know, that survivors still play as if you did. If the roles were reversed, it would still be the case. Most people care more about winning than they do about playing nice.
and also what is the point of be upset about survivors do Genrushs? IT IS LITTERALY THEIR ONLY TASK IN THE TRIAL
Do you not see the double standard here? The killer's only objective is to kill survivors. Yet we do get upset about how they do that. Gen rushing is efficient survivor gameplay, tunneling, camping and slugging are efficient killer gameplay. The truth is that the most efficient way to play this game minimise interaction. Interaction is the only fun part about DBD as far as I am concerned and when that gets reduced, naturally the game becomes less fun in the process. This is only amplified by the fact that you also lose against the strategies.
If you as killer wont be able to get them then yea the survivors might be to strong, but that I would set up as skill.
The argument is basically: "It's efficient and it works, so it's skillful." I don't disagree, necessarily because "skill" can follow different definitions but that is also true for a killer playing mean. It works and it's efficient. If they camp brainlessly, then they lose. So by the same logic, you'd need to consider that a form of skill too.
It is like that behaviour of the killers made the survivors become more and more rushing and that makes the killer even more relying on these stuff.
It's not such a simple causality. The more efficient killers play, the more efficient survivors need to play to keep up. And the more efficient survivors play, the more efficient the killer needs to play to keep up. It's a cycle. Both sides can for their opponent to adapt.
Cause if you wont have survivors who make you do use that stuff, do not raise them!
This is strongly connected to the point before. Both sides force their respective other. It's the problem of the chicken and the egg.
For slugging would be my idea to set a counter like these for camping on the hooks, which starts if two or more survivors got slugged. It slowly fills when two survivors got slugged and start to fill faster with any more survivor who got slugged.
There had been a PTB in which the devs tested a solution for slugging. The result was a resounding rejection. Any base kit mechanic can and will be exploited somehow. Anything that allows survivors to pick themselves up is highly abusable. There is also a perk called Unbreakable (teachable of William "Bill" Overbeck), which allows you to pick yourself up once per match. This used to be a meta perk before 6.1.0 when play styles and meta perks shifted.
Your suggestion has some heavy restrictions though, so it might be worth to test it on a PTB.
Why slug them in the first place, so none of them can do anything anymore? Is that not in favour of the killer to be able to do so?
When survivors last longer than a few seconds in chase, then heavy slugging doesn't work and I see little reason to give survivors a helping hand when they play that terrible.
Cause I am sure these who really do it even in a normal survivor group just use it as a excuse that they do it because of top tier survivors.
That may be true but it doesn't change the fact that these strategies lead to more wins than playing nice does. The "nicer" you play, the more you need to outclass the survivors you play against or you'll lose. So you actively make the match harder on yourself. We always consider the strategies as killers making the game easier on themselves, but this is just as true. And nobody defined when survivors and killers are equally good. We don't even have the necessary norms to define that. The devs would need to define skill balance for us to even make this argument valid. But they haven't.
The only thing we have to go by is a balance of results. Which arguably is not where many think it is, because the last kill rates we got were from 6.1.0. The time when survivors killed themselves on hook every other match. The time when Eruption and CoB + Overcharge were meta and also the time when survivors still used OTR for an anti tunnel perk.
Uff it is a long answer but I will see to answer it properly.
To the first part of your message I can clearly say if I can get 36k bloodpoints out of a game where I played nice why do you think you will get much less by play fair? Sure I took with me some bloodpoint additional stuff but yet it would have been at least 20k without that, if not more. I think it will be better to take a try to see if you then maybe can get some hooks from the survivors after you realise the game for you is lost. Some will go along with it and some do not. But in my experience till now the most will do go along with that since they could get some more points as well.
On the part with the ego you are right. I also have stuff which challenge my pride and ego to its fullest. But I am someone who do not spill it all over someone who is not guilty for that. That is just me. If I have a bad round with survivors and the round would be lose I can accept that. There will be rounds where I will get them and enjoy it. I also can enjoy to lose a round since that means they were just to good for me to get. So why do I now have to camping, tunneling or slugging the hell out of the next group of survivors which are not these? If I am not good enough to get good survivors, then I have to get better it is just that simple, and if I do not get better I have to options either deal with it and still try to get better, or became a camper, tunneler and slugger, sure that will help me get more on the hook maybe, but yet I will not get any better and on top of that I make the survivors gonna hate the game, cause the likelyhood that the next killer is the same or even worse is more then 95% if not even more. So for me the solution is simple, just do not give anything more poison in that system and try to give the survivors a fair chance or play nice maybe and have a fun round, so they do not have to fear that every round will like that. That is my solution.
The part with the pallet Freddy I do not get. Did you say you just took no perks with you and go to a certain map which does no favours for you? Then sry, it is something you did on purpose? It means you ultimatively lead to the circumstances which made you camping tunneling and slugging? Or did I get it wrong here? Maybe I do not understand it right? But if you do limit yourself and begin to camp, tunnel or slug is not then even more troublesome, cause you yourself limited yourself and after you see that it works out for the favour of the survivors you start to play like that, even though you just lead to that situation? Please correct me if I am get it wrong, but it sounds like that to me. And yea they all do the Gens cause it is litteraly the only real task a survivor has. Either one of them can smell that you do not take perks with you or something they simply do not know that, and just do their task, and if you do not show them how you try to play and they do get it, it will be like that, so do they have to be mutants to sense that you play like that and if not you start camping, tunneling and slugging? Again if you mean it like that it is not the survivors fault that you start with that. Please tell me if I get you right and if not where I get you wrong okay? Ahh so it was a hypothetical example? Yea the survivors still would play like you are a serious killer cause the times a killer play more calm are so few that you can count it on one hand. And again since they do not can read your mind or smell that you are nicer they will rush. Especially if they are in their 20th round and you are the first who go calm on them, how could they knew that you now are calmer or nicer?
And yes it would be very good if a change in behaviour all together would lead to a more calm environment. I just show survivors who do not get that I am nice that I am nice by not tunnel them or even when I hit someone who just got of the hook to let the others heal him. Or if I play really nice I hit them down pick em up and bring them to a Gen. Cause I know that is very hard to see if a killer is nice or stuff. I just think it would be much better if these killers who are not good in compensate a lose try to learn it. And focus just of become better than start to use toxic behaviour on every round. (And I do mean these who does that every round. Those who just tunnel not intentionally or not the majority of the time are not meant)
That is no double standard sry. When you have the only task to do Gens and have no real control about how it is done, why is it the same when a killer start to use unfair tactics when he has much more options as the survivors? The survivors can do Gens only in one and the same style, while the killer, not even to mention that it is up to what killer you play, has much more options left. You as a survivor can not do Gens slowly you only can make them a bit faster. That is not the same. Sure it come up to the killer you play some are better for the trial and some maybe not, but all in all you can get better without these playstyle and even deal with gen rushs. While the survivors have no real option, they either can do Gens what their only task is, or not, what should they do? Also it sometimes is maybe not in the mind of the survivors to do it like that but sometimes it just goes as fast. But that showed that they did good or not? One maybe distract the killer and the rest do the Gens. Sometimes you get someone of the hook. And yet you say that they should stop Genrushing, when they do not have real control about how fast a Gen is done or over the other survivors and what they do? While you as killer get mad and start to play dirty, just because you followed this one survivor who successfully distracted you long enough? You have the chance to give up the hunt and go search for others. But if you start camping tunneling and slugging, that is not the same as to say but they do Genrushes. Sure the killers only task is to sacrifice the survivors, but how you do it is up to you as a killer, but how the Survivors do the Gens is not really up to them, since the Gens do work all the same in every trail, while the survivors do not. It is not the same. The survivors to not really brief the round they just do what they have to. And nothing more. And you as killer do what you have to and if you do it fair it get probs but if you do start to do it dirty, because the survivors do their ONLY task to fast as you can get them, that is not good. What should the survivors do better? Should they just look on Gens for 120seconds before start them? Should they just walk through the map for 5 minutes before do any Gens? You see the killer can directly start to hunt them and the survivors need to find Gens if you are lucky you find some and if you are good you can overcome the killer who approach you Gen with hiding. The killer on the other hand can see any Gen, he can take perks with to see if two or more work on the Gen. There are so many perks to reduce the Gen progression effectively, and yet you still need to camp, tunnel or slug then? (Not you in particular.) To say it is a double standard is simply not right. Cause all the stuff that a survivor can do a Gen faster is not stackable.
Maybe you can call camping and the other stuff skill, but I do not. Cause camping does not afford any skill whatsoever. Cause looke no matter if the survivor who come to save the day is healthy or not HE IS THE NEXT ON THE HOOK. That is no skill it is still the absence of it, cause if you only get a survivor by camp or tunnel him it is not skill it is just lazy. You know it work, so why use real skill instead if you can ruin the game for someone else, just to comfort yourself? Is it worth it? If so okay, go for it, but I do not think it is. Cause someday that maybe can destroy the game for to many people so the playercount drops and the game will die. Even I hope that will not happen. It is the combined skill when you as a survivor manage to do Gens without the killer get you, but you say it is the same skill when the killer just get someone because he do not search but wait for them to come? That is not the same really not. Skill is for a killer to get the survivors without any usage of that, the rest is just lazy. And that is done exactly because the killer have no skill in do the trail without that.
The rest of your post I answer another time!

You have built in BT and you can unhook yourself if camped. I really dont see the reason for you to complain when you can just continue looping until you die, buying more time for your teammates.
You know that you do can camp survivors on a hook without the bar to fill right? Or just slug them and camp there? The problem I faced was not face camping. It is the camping which does not get fill any bar at all. Or the killer who use their abilities to do indirect camping. Or these who just wait in a good spot where they see when someone get to the hook so they can get them then. There are so many ways to camp and you come with that one which is no problem at all since for that the Devs made a change? Make no sense sry. Also you can not unhook yourself anymore when the gates are open. So that is the time many killers just stay with you at the hook to even get one kill. That is a thing I saw a lot in the short time I play already, and also expierienced many times on my own, that the killer just hang anyone who came to rescue the one who hang to even get one. It is just not good to play like that no matter what.
And it is okay when that is no reason for you to complain about but for me it is. Because it destroy the game. I did only had one situation who the killer facecamped me on the hook ONE out of countless times where he just camp in a safe distance to net get my bar gets filled. That happens simply just too much. So I do not can unhook if the bar did not fill.

Im a former killer main, but i play mostly survivor now. And while i hate to get camped and tunneled, i think the current state of the game is to blame, it is optimized for fast moving killers so gens go really fast and slow moving killers waste too much time on walking from A to B, and on looping. - they dont have much space for errors, it dosnt feels so bad at the low mmr but when you start going up the groups become sweatier - so camping and tunneling is an effictive way to get a snowball effect.
Yea I can understand it you know. But I saw mostly not the ones does this stuff wo are slow. It most of the times are these killers, who move as fast as light or can teleport, or other stuff. These who can loop break and so on. These are the killers who does that. I almost never saw a killer camp who are not fast as the others or can not use some good abilities to speed up. That is what I find curious about it. They already have killers which would make all this not needed but yet they still does it.
Maybe it will someday be better again for the killers, so they can enjoy the game without these dirty tactics again. But even then some will sure stick with it anyways.

I see where you're coming from. But isn't it better when people actually try everything in their power to win? The alternative is to just give up when it seems that match might not work out in your favor. Personally, I hate when a survivor kills themself on hook and ruins the entire match. Because it makes the rest of the match incredibly boring and takes away any tension.
Also, who decides when they should lose? If that is not on the players but the game, then it feels terrible because you might think: "I could have won, but the game forced the loss on me." or "I didn't lose against my opponent(s) but the game itself." And when it is on the players to decide when they should lose, why would they decide they should lose when they could still turn the match around by tunneling or camping? So this argument, as understandable as it is, is flawed in its core.
Ideally, we should aim to make these strategies less appealing and what we consider 'fun to play against' more appealing. The best way to do that in my opinion is by a "carrot and stick" approach. The killer should have a very clear incentive (outside of BP) to play normally, while camping should be a bit more risky. I am against removing camping as a whole though because the core of the killer role is the constant decision making and taking that away would not only dumb down the role but also make it less fun. The less agency you have in a game, the more predictable and boring it feels after all.
Of course I do not say try everything to win. But have it to be with camping, tunneling and slugging? And I do not agree that the only alternative you have to win like that is to give up. It simply is not. If you see you will not get all or any of them why not try to show you want to play nice to just get some bloodpoints out of it or stuff? If you just see that you can not do it anymore the most maybe think of just play like that then instead of try to made it a call and go joke around with the survivors. That will maybe also help that the survivors do not be so rushing, just maybe if a survivor do see that the killers became calmer and do not rely on these tactics to win, they maybe became also calm and do not go all in so much. (Even some will still does that) and also what is the point of be upset about survivors do Genrushs? IT IS LITTERALY THEIR ONLY TASK IN THE TRIAL to do Gens, so what is the point to been upset over survivors do their task? If you as killer wont be able to get them then yea the survivors might be to strong, but that I would set up as skill. If survivors who by the way most of the times are outright strangers to each other can do the Gens that fast without the killer get any of them is that not equal to they do their job good? So if the killer then do not get any of them his logical conclusion is okay if they are that good I become just bad? Sry where is that anywhere near a good way? (I do not attack you here it is just what I think about it)
Yea I think some can not take it to lose. I mean I can understand that it will be frustrating to lose multiple rounds as a killer, but so does as a survivor. So if you ask me begin to camp, tunneling and slugging survivors only lead the survivors to Genrush and fool the survivor around. On both sides that behaviour just drags it more and more down. It is like that behaviour of the killers made the survivors become more and more rushing and that makes the killer even more relying on these stuff. And it just got worse and worse with every time.
I do not think that we can get rid of camping at all. Because when you try to do something against it it maybe would be like the system declares a action you do as a killer as camping and then you, while you do not even camp, got punished. So for camping at that it should be a rethinking for anyone itself. Cause if you wont have survivors who make you do use that stuff, do not raise them!
For tunneling that alone I do not think could be get rid of as well. There are also perks, at least one I know of, that can prevent it kinda okay.
For slugging would be my idea to set a counter like these for camping on the hooks, which starts if two or more survivors got slugged. It slowly fills when two survivors got slugged and start to fill faster with any more survivor who got slugged. The one that got slugged first or which heal is finished can stand up ONLY ONE can stand up, and the timer reset for the others and because the one who just got up is not slugged anymore it is slower again. So the killer either risk to get them instead of one can recover themselves, or he just take them and hook them. But I already know that this idea will be so mean against the killers because it favours the survivors again. I just can say then yea you do not say? Why slug them in the first place, so none of them can do anything anymore? Is that not in favour of the killer to be able to do so?
I just think before we need real changes in the game it should just be a rethink and that killers might think about not do it in every single game. Cause I am sure these who really do it even in a normal survivor group just use it as a excuse that they do it because of top tier survivors. That is not true because if so why do it on a normal group you know? (At least I think that about these killers)

Did someone piss in your cheerios or something? Why the crusade on me? I don't tunnel people unless they are toxic, I never camp unless necessary in endgame collapse, and I'm the killer who almost always gives hatch, and if the survivors had an early dc, just let them have a heal party and escape. Grow up, dude. I was just answering the question as to why it's happening from killers as a whole. This topic had zero to do about me as a topic. Go take your attitude elsewhere.
Okay than I apologize for my words. It just sounded like you try to defend such playstyle because you play like that. So it is my fault that I get it wrong.
It still was an answer from me. It also is not kind of you to somehow make assumption of my attitude. I just answered too. I also see where you think I have an attitude, but if you say you do not do it that is all good. Why be upset? I just thought you defend it. But I was wrong. I admit that. I have to think that not all who defend it are like that.
Thank you to made me see my mistake here. There rest I said still is a decent argument which has nothing to do with you

It never ceases to amuse me when people talk about something that has been an eternal constant being a "new problem" or people doing it "all of a sudden".
When playing against decent survs, there are generally three reliable strategies: three genning, tunneling, or proxy camping. One can win without tunneling in most circumstances, and without three genning in almost all circumstances. Winning without at least some degree of proxy camping at some point is a tall order. Hoping to be free of any and all camping is wildly unrealistic. While just setting up shop at the hook is lame as hell, expecting the killer to immediately vacate the vicinity after hooking someone just because is just stupid.
I'd never advocate facecamping, but some form of hook defense is simply necessary to be consistently competitive against decent survs.
And of course it goes without saying that a great many survs love to cry about camping when they all rush to and/or flock around the hook. A lot of self-inflicted "camping". I don't suspect that will ever stop, either.
Nah I really talk for real camping here. Not these when you get the survivor to fast. That is something I also try to avoid. But I had a ton of real campers. Which just waited nearby while watching the hook if someone come. Or play the wraith slug a survivor and wait for someone to pick him up. Maybe you can win like that but if you need to do that stuff to win maybe the problem are not the survivors at that point? Cause I am not really a professional survivor and still face lots of them. So I can understand if they do it at top tier survivors but these I faced had a just normal team and still does it. So why do they do it on every team when their reason is it is because the top tier survivors?

Is it just that you haven't matched up with the top survivors yet? Hanging on a hook 12 times while entertaining survivors without camping or tunneling is impossible in the upper tiers.
That maybe can be yes. But if survivors decide to play like that why you decide to go on it on survivors who do not play like that? Cause all I can say is that I never play like this as a survivor and still got lots of killers who does all that. So they just do it no matter if there are top survivors or not

Can't tell if your joking. I mean a huntress who stands 20ft from the hook holding a hatchet.
Oh no. I just did not knew the proxy term. That also is really bad if a huntress does that. That also shut become something to be punished

idk, it's actually really boring. I'd rather be tunneled 20 games in a row than have to get proxy'd by another huntress.
You mean a sniper huntress? These who aim so good the aim goes through a corner? XD

no viability to win without tunneling and opportunistic camping.
If I get it right that is a funny answer. And I can apply that on the killers who rely on such stuff every time XD

This. I usually try to play in a “fair” way but it usually just ends up in a loss. Most killer’s just can’t get 12 hooks. This is why tunneling and camping are so common. It sucks but it is what it is.
Look I get you. But I do not agree. When I as a beginner can manage to play fair you can do too. If you lose that much it sure can become a bit demoralizing. But if you start with it what will it give to you? Are you really think that it is better to do it like that then? If so I do not blame you for your decision, even I do not agree with that. If I see they are not to get and rush Gens so what? I am just not able to get them then. Or at least not all of them. It is okay. Maybe it just come down to your own principles. I for myself have decide never to do such thing. And that is just me. I do not say you have to do the same.
I just ranted with my post over there, that I think it is too much if almost every killer does that for no real reason. But it is not effective not efficent or whatever it simply is not. It is just lazy.

Those people don't care about BP anymore. I mean, why would they? Prestige is nothing more than a number to tell others how many BP you dumped into that character and if you're gonna play with fulll meta loadouts every game anyway, there is no need to unlock different perks either. The amount of items / offerings / addons you get is so high, that you'll never run out anyway, so nobody has any reason to play for BP, if they only care about winning.
That goes for both sides.
Yea that is a problem I agree. I also thought about that that especially these who do not care about it and just want to be bad as hell did that. But it is still hella annoying

The worst offenders are Killers who hardcore camp, proxy camp, and tunnel using Nurse or Blight after 4 hooks with 5 gens left. Its in the Killers best interest to back off and gain more Bloodpoints, Pips, Score, etc. Simply destroying a team in minutes by using all the noob techniques is pure evil, especially when you are using a top tier Killer and the game is already stacked in your favor.
Haha yea I totally agree. I had a lot of them a few days ago, and not just a round or so no multiple rounds in a row. They totally destroyed the whole team. We did not have any chance to get any survivor done. And yea. It is just too much. The times I had just a skilled killer who get us because he was good and did not used that stuff I can count on one hand. (I spare out the nice killers here)

And also efficient. If a killer can't get another hook in the next 60 seconds or they have that survivor in a spot with gens to defend, then it's their best play. It's not nice, but most people care about winning more than they do about being nice.
Yea with the part that most do care more of winning than play, not so much nice, but fair. It is just a rant I made. I do not see anything good in play like that. Sure you will get them maybe all, but you do not improve yourself in any way and just are a sore loser then if you do not accept that you just lost that round. It is just that.

It boring to pull up to a gen to see the survivor already pre ran, camping a pallet crouch, slow stealth walking away, or just pre dropping immediately. Most of the tactics in this game is stronger than things that require actual skill. The anticipation and precision needed to hit huntress snipe, the precise timing to curve with billy on certain loops, the reflexes and the mind games of looping/chasing, etc. Skill is secondary in this game i feel. It just all decision making and map knowledge of where to chase/loop. Tunnel, camping, pre running, pre dropping, etc none of this stuff really challenge you to make a quick skillful read or play most of the time.
Exactly. It does not give you any improvement whatsoever. Do not get me wrong it can be really really difficult as a killer. But to begin to rely on that stuff shows you just want an easy way out. And yeah maybe some rounds will be a lose. What is the deal. Learn from it and try to improve, so that next time it will be another ending right?

Players wouldn't do it if it didn't work. If a killer is convinced they don't have the time to chase them proxying out some hook states and confirming kills can often be the play to make, similarly to direct tunneling.
I never said it does not work. I say it is just a bad way to play, only cause you are not able to do it properly makes it not good to play like that. And again if I as a beginner can do it so why can you not? If a killer is convinced that the time he has left is not enough to get them here is a nice trick maybe instead of become more toxic in your playstyle cause for me it is pure toxic. Just try to go to the survivors and show them you are kinda nice. I can tell you most will be surprised and let you get some points by hang them two times or stuff.
But no the only stuff you guys can think of is become outright bad and mean. That also should be something to think about huh?

@RpTheHotrod said:
Survivors are getting more and more powerful in chases and looping along with multiple second chance perks. Many killers, especially m1 killers, are already weak at loops as it is. Doing chases usually ends up meaning losing 2 or 3 gens. Camping is starting to become the only real effective strategy.
There is a reason why camping on a hooked lead to an update to prevent that. So if you say oh yea so we just camp in another way now, cause it is more effective means, you will give enough reason to the devs to maybe someday do much more updates to prevent killers from these kind of behaviour. So it is just downright a bad thing. And sure you can do it. Feel free too. But that show me, that you are just rely on that cause it is not possible for you to play without it.
I do know that killers which are good at loop breaking are in an advantage, but I also play killers which are not good at it and do manage to get it done without that. SO NO IT IS NOT EFFECTIVE. It is just an excuse you made. Sry to say that and sure you can have that opinion. That is what a free will give you. But I do not agree with your opinion on that, cause I have first hand prove that it is nowhere effective.
Cause think it just through yeah just imagine 3 Gens are already gone and you gonna sweat cause you did not get one sacrificed or even on the hook. So you decide to slug and camp or hook and camp a survivor. All the others see that you camp. And only the really altruistic survivors will come help. So effectively you as a camper change the playstyle of the survivors to just do not care about the one that is hooked, cause you camp there. Not yet but it will be like that if all of these camper killers do not stop that already. The survivors just decide to let him hang till they have done the other Gens. You are not effective you are the exact opposite. Cause all the time you waste for camping is a lost hunt a lost hit a lost survivor you might could get. And not only that the 2 Gens left would been rushed too. That is not effective in my eyes.
-
@Pulsar said:
Because it's effective
It is not. I been even more effective by doing none of it. So search for a better reason. I do not need to use that to get all 4 if I really want to. So no it is not effective it is just the prove, that you will be a sore loser cause you can not play fair.

@Akumakaji said:
I am with you, camping is boring and could do with some more punishment. But do you know what is boring, too, and could see a bit of the same? Splitting up on gens. This "technique" is so boring and no-skill-braindead, yet it yields the highest results and is the most effective thing survivors can do. You would think that cleverly interacting with the killer should be the road to success, but it actually is just minding your own business in a secluded corner of the map, holding M1 at your own gen and hope that you get to be kept in peace by the killer.
Splitting up is so disgustingly effective, you can run into a survivor right at the start of the match and have a really quick and clean chase, and still got three gens blowing up in your face by the time you reach the hook. At that point you can either chase ineffectually after one of the three other survivors or keep the one you got hooks company and slap them on the hook till they unhook themselves. A quick camp and tunnel might be the only way to salvage this trial that was already decided, before you got a real chance to do anything.
So, of course I am baiting you, but I am not entirely jesting. Gens fly like crazy and you can EASILY see 3 gens be finished by the time the first chase comes to an end; if you fumbled that chase and the survivor got away, you are already with the back against the wall and facing unsurmountable odds. A survivor who is downed within 30s of the trial starting still has a reasonable chance of a fun game and even an escape, as they just got "one hook", but a killer who starts the trial with 3 gens completed with them not so much as getting one hook have it much, much harder.
The game is at a breakneck pace right now and doesn't allow for any fun or dillydallying on the side of the road for but a moment, its all about efficiency and wham-bam that gen/survivor.
Yea it can be difficult that is true. I do my gens as survivor and do my stuff and I do try to make it a bit difficult for the killer as well, but if the killer is good that wont work.
I played rounds where it worked out to survive and do not play anything mean as survivor and these where it did not work. It is up to the skill of the killer.
Otherwise is it as a killer absolutley possible to be good without rely on these stuff. I played many killer rounds now and when I really want to get them all I do get them all. And all that without camping, tunneling or slugging. That proves it to me that it is possible. Sure there will be rounds where that will be difficult but yet not impossible. And I got around 36k bloodpoints out of my rounds no matter if I let them alive or get them all. So it is also no reason that it will bring much more bloodpoints.
Yea it sure can be crazy with the gens. But if it is like that just do not go out for this really bad behaviour of camping and stuff. It just can not all rounds be good. My very first killer round was a bloody hell. I played against a bully squad so I do know what it is like to play against that. But yet that is no reason for me to start playing like a noob XD cause it is nothing other than noobskills. That is nowhere effective, it is just skillless.
And also sure 3 Gens can be done really quick, what it just makes a bit more difficult for survivors to find other Gens. And most of them then need to work together on one. which made it easier to find them on the one they work on. Sure it is not easy and I got a round where they had only one Gen left but I got 3 of them in that time and the last at the gate, cause I closed the hatch in that round. A thing I also do almost never if not a mission, cause I do like to give the survivors a fair chance. Even if they maybe fool me around.

When you talk about Sam, I'm curious. You can act kind with any killer and still be hardcore savage with them. My favorite example is Ghostface, in one game, Ghostface and the Survivors are having fun 1v1ing each other and getting BP. The next match can have four sweaty Survivors going against a Ghostface with a meme build. I've been in this situation and all you need to do to win against a sweaty team is to play sweaty.
And if I'm not mistaken, that's exactly what you made Sam for, to be a kind Killer but also a savage against sweaty teams. But it won't likely work out like that. When sweaty players want to win and the Killer gets an advantage from being stunned, the Survivors will simply drop pallets early to avoid stunning the Killer to keep them from gaining this advantage. So Sam will suffer against good teams with nothing to be done about it.
When you make a Killer design, making a "nice" Killer should have nothing to do with the balance of it. The stun requirement to make Sam a difficult Killer to play against will only be used against players not paying attention and having fun, all while sweaty teams can and will take full advantage of a Killer's weaker state.
If you need an example, think of The Oni. He needs an injured Survivor to get his Demon Dash and Demon Strike, so Survivors will pre-drop pallets and keep as much distance from The Oni to keep that first injury from happening for as long as possible. Another Example is Nemesis, Survivors will actively run into The Nemesis to take the Basic Attack rather than the Tentacle Strike, due to Tier II being capable of removing pallets extremely fast. One last example includes Michael Myers, when Survivors see Myers in the match, immediately they abandon gens to hide behind a rock. Keeping Myers from reaching Tier II, let alone Tier III, is good for the entire team because it means less risk.
And lastly, you say you made Sam to be a fun and nice Killer, correct? Well, here's the sad reality, there are going to be people who aren't kind playing Sam. If you think back to the release of Skull Merchant, almost every Killer playing Skull Merchant set up a three-gen and slugged Survivors. But that playstyle is unfun, unnecessary, and boring. But almost everyone who played Skull Merchant did it. I'm not saying nice people don't exist, but I'm saying you have to check for people who aren't nice, because it is the nice people who will pay the price for it.
If Sam came out the way you intend, he is a Killer made for nice people, but rarely will Survivors actively try playing nice with Sam. This is because too many other kinds of players will be tunneling, camping, and playing in an unfun way because they don't want to have fun, they want to win. I'm sorry, but it's the truth, and I really wish it wasn't.
Now, next up with The Raptor. I'll give you a difference between The Xenomorph and A Raptor. The Xenomorph is one out of hundreds of drones that obey the will of the Xenomorph Queen. The Xenomorph Drone is part of a hivemind, so getting it to listen to The Entity is fairly easy, it just needs to be connected to The Entity, and boom, it's a willing participant of the Trials.
Another comparison you could make is with The Demogorgan. But it's the same story, The Demogorgan is also part of a hivemind, but it can still think for itself. If you take Season II of Stranger Things, we see that Dustin is capable of taming a Demodog, so it can think for itself. And this is the last part I want to emphasize, The Demogorgan can think for itself.
If you are correct, and that The Entity could take in the Raptor and get it to start hunting, why would it put Survivors onto a hook? Raptors are primitive animals, they don't go out to kill, they go out to eat and come back to sleep. For the Raptors, it's survival in what they do, not fun or entertaining.
The Entity takes people, or creatures that can feel large amounts of emotion which The Entity then feeds off of. A Raptor of any kind would not be capable of such emotion, due to the size of the dinosaur's brain. But my biggest point for a raptor not being capable of participating within the realm, look up a picture and tell me how those small arms could pick up a person.
Yea you are right that I did not mind about. Than maybe the pallets just work regular and he just got the candy which let him stop for a few seconds and eat it. And maybe the more he hit a survivor who do not have candy, he can build the terrorstate? Do you think that would help? Also the Candy still is rare on the map. And for the aggro he can count up by hitting survivors it could be like. Hit a survivor which have candy, zero counter. Survivor without candy one counter and lastly survivor who ate the candy give him two counters? That could maybe work to prevent the sweaty survivors to take advantage, cause still it work normal even when you play sweaty.
You are right even when I have him as a nice killer in my head there will be some who use him in a bad way. That is the same with Chucky at the moment. I will think about some stuff of Sam to look how to make it done. The Candy however should be the Treat you can use as a survivor. But I have to think about the Tricks Sam do to you. Maybe when I put two kinds of Candy in? Some normal candy and some with razorblades. The normal candy work as the treat for either Sam or the survivor and the razorbladed one is the trick for both. Cause when Sam will eat it he will be mad on you, and if the survivor eats it he got an instant hurt. That will be a fifty fifty for both the killer and Sam with the Candy. And if Sam hit a survivor carry the razorbladed Candy it is gone the survivor is normally hurt and Sam does not get any aggro from that.
Yea sure the Xenomorph bows to a Xenomorph queen. But since you said the Entity itself is a plant like organic being, that automatically made it an enemy. So I do not think it would be so easy to controll a Xenomorph. But think of it more like, if it can controll a yet higly intelligent drone who also can work all alone, make you also capable of controll a Raptor who also act in a pack. Since the Raptor also obey to their alpha at least in the movies. And that make it more or less a drone to, and since they are very intelligent as well, the only difference is the way they are born and their weapons. In terms of behaviour they are nearly the same. They loot out what are the weaknesses of for example electronic fences to look where to focus the attacks to break out. They do set traps for survivors. And the most important they do can communicate via sounds. They have calls which means to attack to rearrange and so on. Even some when they need help. That is a very complex skill and the Entity just could copy that sounds and make it sound like these come from the alpha, or a Raptor which is higher in the pack hierachy. So that sure could work really good.
The point with the hook is a good one. But no the Raptors in the movie does not go out for just hunting to eat. These in the first movie where bloodthirsty the did not go for the people cause they were hungry, they do so cause the alpha said so. In the second movie these do. But when you take the book it describes them as asozial creatures, who also just kill what they want when they want. The Raptors in the third movie also never was after the group cause they just hunted them, it was because one of them stole their eggs. And they wanted them back. And when we come back to the hook. Yeah on its own the Raptor would just kill the survivors. But what when the Entity told the Raptor with the call to set traps with the survivors so the Raptor began to hang the survivors to set the traps his "Alpha", in that case would that be the Entity, wanted it to set? Look the Raptors from the movies are genetically modified. They possess a rudimental humanlike intelligence. Sure not as improved as a human has, but they can like a human understand and anticipate the behaviour and also the directions they get. And if the Entity would say the Raptor to hang a survivor to set a trap for the others, even that would not be the main reason, the Raptor would just do it cause it see the Entity as his Alpha in that moment. And would just obey these orders. And how it put the survivor on the hook could be like he bite the survivors shoulder and throw it on the hook. Cause he can not take him with his arms. But it is not that the Raptors only would kill for hunting. These from the first movie and from the third does follow orders from their alphas. And that could the Entity just copy.
I do talk about the Raptors from JP/JW these are not comparable with regular real Raptors. They do have a social structure and also emotions as well. They bond and stuff. Sure not like a human. But you really say that Killers like Michael Myers or so do have any emotions? They are most known for the exactly opposite. Sure some of the killers in DBD are capable of it but there are also many who do not have any emotions whatsoever. That is not a point to make to say that the Raptor would not work. Xenomorph itself is not capable of feel emotions. It is a drone which when not controlled kill anything it can find. And if controlled the Queen takes over. That also are no emotions at all. The Queens only purpose is to spread their offspring as much as she can. And she maybe got angry when you kill her offspring, but that I would not call large emotions more instinctive behaviour since her purpose get attacked and she defend her offspring in order to keep her purpose done.
I would argue that a pack of Raptors who go after you over a whole island just for two eggs fits into this much more. Since Raptor packs would work more as a family as a hive which only purpose is to spread their offspring. So I do not agree in your opinion here that the Raptor would not get anything cause it is just a stupid animal. Sure maybe the real Raptors sure. But these in the movies, are nearly as intelligent as a human. That is how they are created. They are genetically modified. And these from JP3 are so modified they even surpasses these from the first movie by far. Their lore shows it. The man who created them made them even more intelligent. The only thing these Raptors are not capable of is talking with word or use tools like a human can due to their bodies, but all the rest they can do. I do refer all the time to these Raptors which also shown with the Raptor Blue from JW one and two that they also can feel emotions to other races. Like to Owen when he pretend to cry. So I do really think that could work.
And again with the hook it could just be a throwing animation where the Raptor pack the shoulder of the survivor and throw it with a half spin onto the hook. Or that the hooks when the Raptor is in are slightly different to get the Raptor pack a survivor with its mouth drag it high and put it on the hook. That would no really issue why a Raptor would not fit into the game if you ask me.
Lorewise I also do see no big deal to get it in.

Before I say anything, look over your work and try to organize it. It's easy for a viewer to get lost in text of this size.
The Frightner
Your first Killer Idea wouldn't necessarily fit into the Devs' vision of DBD. To kill a Survivor and keep them in a match isn't what the developers, nor the players would want to be a part of. I haven't seen the movie, but I have read the synopsis of the character I believe you're referencing.
The ability to move through walls is extremely powerful, as we've seen with The Nurse, who has a lot of limits of mobility while this happens. I suggest you also put limits on this character, such as a Manual Ability that only lasts a second or so, allowing The Frightener to move through objects, and then regain full collision with the ability to put on a cooldown.
The Frightner's Speed can be 4.6 m/s with a terror radius of 24 meters, for a base Killer speed and an average small terror radius. There can be other abilities added onto the character in the view you think fits well. You stated, "In the movie the ghost marks his victims with numbers which it cuts in their foreheads" which could be the mori of the Killer.
The way you stated The Frightener had me understand that the Killer would just straight-up kill Survivors like Michael Myers's Tombstone add-ons. It also seems that this ability to move through walls and be sunken into the ground would be extremely overpowered. Think of a wraith that can walk through walls and uncloak immediately. The way you described The Frightener is still more powerful due to Wraith's distortive effect.
Overall, I think you need to consider how the character is going to play within the trial and compare it to other killers in terms of strength.
The Trick or Treater
Your second Killer Idea is very fleshed out and understandable, which helps me understand the direction you're headed with this Killer. First, you do not need to get rid of totems in exchange for Jack-o-Lanterns, because if you or the Survivors brought totem perks, then that's just a waste of a perk slot.
Secondly, the candy, if hitting the Survivors holding candy does nothing aside from protecting them, it simply punishes The Trick or Treater. How about this, whenever The Trick or Treater eats the candy dropped by a Survivor, he then begins to build up the Brutal State you mention later in the paragraph.
When The Trick or Treater eats enough candy, they enter Suger Rush, in which they have a 10% haste effect, and see Survivors within their terror radius for a short time, possibly 30 - 45 seconds.
The Thing
The third Killer Idea, The Thing would be very difficult to implement into DBD considering its lore, whenever it touches another organic being, The Thing will begin to take over the body of that organism. And seeing that The Entity is a plant-like organism, that would have some complications.
However, if we were to take it into DBD, Your idea would work, but it wouldn't. Let me explain. The idea of having your entire power focused on deceiving Survivors doesn't work, especially with such limitations. If the Survivors know what Killer you are, then they learn what to look out for, ruining the element of surprise Killers such as Ghost Face, Myers, and Wraith. If The Thing started with the ability to mimic Survivors, then that would greatly help.
The HUD system, SWFs, and knowing the mechanics of the Killer are greatly stacked against The Thing and its capability to stand a chance in the trials.
The Raptor
The Last Killer is just unfeasible, a Raptor doesn't have the common sense to understand the Entity nor the physical capabilities to properly participate in the trials.
We already have two killers that act like the two halves of The Raptor's power. First, we have Ghostface, with the ability to grouch and hide his terror radius and second, we have Wesker, able to bound over vaults and injure Survivors from quite a distance away.
I just don't see this Killer being capable of entering The Entity's Realm.
After view all of it, there are some problems, but I would like to give some advice, as someone who's made a few creations themselves. Don't feel the need to put everything in one place. Make one whole page dedicated to each Killer. Take your time and add perks, a written backstory, and maybe even a Survivor.
Have fun with this, certainly, but make sure it's something you can be proud of and something others can enjoy as well.
Hey thank you for the feedback I will also take time and explain some stuff if needed.
First is that you do not stay in the match after you got killed. You only stay in the match as a ghost, when you take the drug which let you as a survivor act outside your body. But if you get hooked three times or the killer kills you in any way, you are done. You do not stay in the match after a regular death. It is just a function for the survivors while in game.
And yea for the ability to move through walls or go in the ground there will be a cooldown, except when he activate the mori. But he can not go imidiately in or through walls when materialized again.
And the marking with the numbers is happening before the Reaper kills someone. It is like a foreshadowing in the movie. It just would be a sign at the side, where the survivor icons are shown. With each kill the number rose. 1 to 4. That would just be like the normal obsessed mark just with the number and it rise with each dead survivor. It just would be a design and has no real effect in my idea.
You are right from my four ideas two are kinda overpowered. This is one of them. I also think it would need really good balancing to really get considered at all.
To the Trick or Treater I am not really on your side. Cause that would go completly against the lore of Sam. He is the ghost of Halloween. And he also protect the ghost of Halloween. Means whenever you do something bad to hurt the ghost of Halloween you make Sam angry and wanna kill you. That is why I had the idea, that the candy you can get is rare. Also it has a high cooldown. And if you as survivor eat that candy to heal yourself. You make Sam angry. Cause all the candy in the map is his.
I also do not think that that would be a punishment for Sam. Look the whole idea of Sam, at least in my head, is that you have a killer, which you need to be nice to, so he will nice too.
Sure he still would be a killer, and some would not like a killer who really would be effective when the survivors are dirty players, which to be honest a quiet a lot, but I want to have a killer who you can play when you like to play as a nice killer, and which is also a really evil killer if you decide to get dirty on him. You understand me here? I want just a fun killer which does not simply rely on mean perks and stuff, but is also kind to survivors if you as killer want to play him kind. And even when a survivor would be protected by a candy, that does not mean, you can not hit him after Sam ate that candy, you still can go after him. But I think Sam would be a really good option to play either evil or nice, cause like the ghost of Halloween says, TRICK or TREAT. He will be a menace if you choose trick, but pretty handy if you choose treat. I think it would be good to have a killer, which favors both of these playstyles. And it would be also a good option for the Halloween event as well. I think that would be some kind of cure for some traumatized survivors. And really it just would be that one killer which is more on the nice side of killing. I do not think that that would be too much. When I see how bloody hell some other killers are a alternative for these who also like to play nice would be Sam. I think we have enough killers as well which can kill instantly. With same that only goes when you do hurt the ghost of Halloween to often, that would make him so mad he can mori you.
Like when you eat the candy instead of let him eat it. When you hit him with pallets or flash him. That can be stuff which fills his terrormeter. Or give him countermarks. And at a certain countermark he has on a certain survivor he can instakill him. But that also means you have to play dirty on Sam. Still yet he get terrorcounters from normal survivors as well. Cause they also would throw pallets on him or stuff. So I think that could really work if you want to have a chill round as killer and be nice with the survivors, or when they decide to be not nice to you you kill them. It would just be a perfect option for a real Trick or Treat in DBD. Since how each side decide to play the round is up to them and in my head that also could stop these bully squads maybe. I hope I could explain it good.
He should just be a play nice on me and I play nice on you or play dirty on my and I show you hell killer. And he would be the perfect option for it cause of his lore.
Yea The Thing is really difficult to think of. Maybe you are right, that he should have to option to choose which survivor to copy first. But still he should have the option left to also get to hit the others, so he can transform into them if he manage to get them. He would be the second killer which most likely would never be considered.
With the Raptor I have to admit that I do think it would fit. Sure it is an animal and does not think like a killer itself would do, but I want to remind you of the Xenomorph. Sure it is more capable of think out of plans, but still it is more like an animal as well. It whole purpose is to spread his species and if that is not possible to kill what it can. That is not really some genius move. Also not to forget the fact that the Xenomorph drone on its own is not really effective. It works best when get directions of a queen. It is a drone at the end of the day, and yet it is in the game.
And let us now talk about the Raptors. Especially these from Jurassic Park one. It could be the big one. This Raptor which stated to be so intelligent, that you can feel that it is planing something just by look at it. Still an animal, but yet it killed most of the pack of the Raptors back then and just let to alive. That also had a purpose. And the Raptors in JP are most likely to compared to a Xenomorph. They are out to kill. I think they would fit very well.
And sure we have Ghostface who can crouch and Wesker with his jump attack. But we also have Nemesis and Xenomorph with kinda a similar attack. I do not think that only cause it is in the game already it could not work. It just need more work from my side, that I see.
It also would fit in the lore as well. Since the big one kinda died in JP the entitus could get it before it really died and throw it in a trial. It saw the humans and just hunted them. Cause you know an animal most likely do not need to understand what happend to him especially when it is bloodthirsty and I also would state here it is also better that the Raptor is not capable of understanding it. And also the Raptors in JP3 where so damn intelligent that they also set traps for the survivors the get them when they try to help the hurt survivor at the ground. So I would say that is sure kinda capable of understanding the entitus will too. Cause these Raptors are not only smart, they understood how to set a good working trap, and even manage to not kill the survivor for that trap.
But you are right I also want to work on these Ideas more and do work them out much more. Thanks for your tipps. I will see to work on it. Even when I have a lot to say to defend my ideas, but that is why I believe so much in them. Especially Sam and the Raptor I want to work out much much more. Because these would be a very nice addition to the game.

If you go all the way to the bottom of the forums, it'll be on the lowest row. Also, I plan on reading your work SirXenomorph, it's always a joy to see another's creation!
Yea I found it maybe I should link it here too. I have not yet made some own perk designs cause I do not know how to make them look good, but at least I described what I think about my killer ideas. And I would like to hear your opinion on my ideas as well or maybe some further ideas on it something that would make them even more suitable for killer players

Sry when I wrote it like a attack to you. I just think tunneling should be the exception. And like you said, you are no killer who does this all the time. So do not feel meant by my words.
I get it, it's a game you enjoy and have strong opinions about. No harm done, but thank you for the apology anyway.
Yea I really like it even though I do not play it that long now. And sure thing, when I did something wrong I want to apologize.
The game has lot of fun even I faced more mean players than good till now

To be so against tunnelling that you're willing to force yourself into a 12-hook game for people that won't even appreciate it, yes, that's hamstringing yourself. Tunnelling is 'normal' for me in the regard that it's something I'll use it when I feel it appropriate, but it isn't something I rely -- or need to rely -- on. If I don't feel it necessary to tunnel for 40 games, I won't. If I do feel it necessary, I'll do so without compunction. I don't go into games with the intention of tunnelling anyone and impacting their experience, but neither do I go into games with the intention of making myself miserable and impacting my own with arbitrary limitations.
I do what I feel is best when I feel it best to do so, and I expect no less of anyone else. Try your best and, if that doesn't work, adapt what you're doing and continue to try your best; Survivor or Killer.
Yeah in that case I am with you. That is a statement which explains it in a good way. It is up to the situation. I also be not nice, even though I do not tunnel than I just got the survivors really fast in that cases, when I for example see that all survivors want to start with flashlights, that always make me suspisious and I want them all to hang as fast as I can, cause in my very first killer round I got a bully squad who do not let me do a single thing without get blinded. So I will be a mean killer when I see all flashlights. From time to time I think it is impossible to avoid tunneling. But my critique goes out to these who do that on purpose every time. And not even that also camping all survivors and slugging, I also had that very often. Killers who than also made a fun out of it. I am sad to say it is at the moment the majority of killers I faced.
Sure thing you are right. That is why I also just said it is not necessary to change the game for it. It is just these killers who do it all the time who should rethink. And since there are plenty of dirty survivors as well it is maybe the best to spare that out for these guys. At least I do it that way. I will be a menace to these survivors who try to annoy the hell out of me, even I do play nice. In the beginning I do give a fair chance. But I am traumatized by these flashlights, so these do make me mad all the time, that will bring you in big danger when having me as a killer haha.
Sry when I wrote it like a attack to you. I just think tunneling should be the exception. And like you said, you are no killer who does this all the time. So do not feel meant by my words.

Not intentionally hamstringing yourself isn't playing dirty.
So for you it would be "intentionally hamstringing" to stop tunneling, cause it is just normal for you? And you do not think it is kinda a weak playstyle?
For me it is dirty, since it shows that you can not let the just hooked person a fair chance to recover. If you just tunneling every single survivor till the survivor is sacrificed it is not a good playstyle it is the most lame and boring one. Cause you can not go in the time for others, because this one would be a safe kill now so yea make your game easier still unfair though. You know there is a reason why this kind off stuff is called toxic killer behaviour right?
But if I just get your agrument here a bit wrong please tell me. Cause for me it sounds like that for you all these tunneling, camping and slugging and so on is just your normal playstyle. If I get it right okay, than tell me where this stuff is fair at all?
But if I get you wrong on your statement just tell me.

Still tunneling is a dirty way to play. I play killer and survivor kinda equal and I NEVER tunnel survivors I just hooked. Even when I see them after they got down, I just go after the person who get the hooked one down again or just go somewhere else to get some others. I also have to admit I most of the times play a nice killer as well. I saw a lot of very very bad killers, these who just tunneling, camping, slugging and so on so I decided to go more the kind way and even when I do not play kind I never do that kind of stuff.
So the easiest solution for killers who does this things must not have to be some game changes, it mostly would just be good if the players themselves start to think about how they play the game. The same goes for survivors as well. I also have seen very lot survivors who play dirty as hell. Look it is okay that you as killer want to get all survivors it is what the game is about. But still you can look to keep it fair still. If not you may be have to deal with it that you are a dirty killer and have to deal with the point that you are not even a good killer, since you rely on these kind of things to get the survivors at all. So if you can not change your dirty playstyle then you do not have to wonder when the developers someday will change stuff ingame to prevent you from doing it.
If you do not want changes like this to happen someday, JUST PLAY FAIR and if not deal with it as soon as it happens.

Okay then I am reliefed. I am not sure what the chat would look liked, when I did not thanked the streamer, but at the moment so only bad thing that came was noob killer. I saw a lot of examples, where these kind of streamers just got worse when they just start with such a message.
But yea I also think they will see that the rest was a normal conversation.

You can make it a skin for Legion instead?
