The only real meta survivor perk behind a paywall is DS. You get unbreakable, BT, dead hard, sprint burst, iron will, and we’re gonna live forever all included in the base game.
Killer is a different story. Though it’s been shown many times you can still hit rank 1 with no perks or addons.
-
My favorite is the game, at least if you are building your killer around it.
Anyone can slap on distressing and cause a ton of paranoia, and there’s lots of cheesy builds you can run
-
To be annoying, mainly. I have games where 1-0 gens get done and the last survivor still sits at the hatch waiting for me to witness them leave.

The only thing mist offerings actually succeed in doing is lagging the game.
I mean the game was made for PC originally. If you don’t have the required specs that’s too bad. The dark mist offerings used to be significantly more impactful and would easily aid stealth killers in getting downs. Now they are kind of a joke in the name of console optimization.

I actually made a thread about this same thing awhile back. One dude came up with idea of adding some sort of fog that makes survivors not be able to see anything outside 24 meters, which I thought was a pretty cool idea.
They did have the thick mist offerings but I swear they are broken or have been nerfed. A purple mist used to black out the map and make everything much more close quarters. Now they are not really that noticeable which is a shame.

Play some Pyramid Head. Barely any second chance perks, barely any looping, and you could toss in franklins + mind breaker to deny survivors of basically everything if you are playing well. It’s not his best build but certainly one of the most annoying.
Not to mention he has the best tunneling in the game. It does take a while to get used to him though.
-
There are some scary builds you can run. I love using distressing + knock out on indoor maps sometimes, especially the game. Distressing Perma tier 3 Myers + dead rabbit gets a 50m terror radius and basically covers that map.
It’s almost the same as being a stealth killer except the terror radius is blasting in the survivors ears the whole time.
-
Unpopular opinion; new buffed mindbreaker is actually pretty good, especially combined with stealth killers or stealth perks
-
I’ve played both sides pretty extensively and it’s basically down to if you are a good M1 killer, because that’s all legion is at the end of the day.
If you are a good M1 killer you will be a good legion.
Maybe you can use perks like monitor + abuse along with discordance to actually get chain frenzies because with a 32m terror radius they usually split up long before you get in range.

I’d like to learn more blight moves but haven’t because his camera is in his knees and half the learning will be which objects have bugged collision
-
I love him but I can see why a lot of people would not. I usually warm up with an easy killer and then transition into him because he takes a ton of effort to score hits if the survivors are really good at juking.
I get the animation lock hits like everyone but against good survivors I usually am feathering it half the time or pretend to do a flick at a pallet loop while canceling; then they dodge away to avoid the fake flick and I get the M1 with the distance they lost. It’s pretty hilarious but sometimes I want to play a more brain dead killer like spirit or bubba

Everybody is talking about side topics instead of the main one and it's that at loops if the m2 were instant people would go for those shots more instead of baiting that's why it got changed. I'm tired of survivors dodging it easily when not in animation lock or when they can see you about to do it
It would be ridiculously overpowered if it was instant, and require no skill or effort on the side of the killer. Right now I think it’s relatively fair.
If you go for an extremely telegraphed shot the survivor can dodge it, if you wait for an opportune moment or do something unexpected you can land it. I land M2s all the time outside animation locks, if the survivor is bad they get 2 tapped sometimes. If the survivor is good at juking it takes some work to down them. As it should.
Pyramid head isn’t played at tournaments where there is real money on the line because he is weak.

The devs practically encourage toxic behavior by being silent on the issue, because those are the people who buy the game. An online bully simulator is more appealing than an actual multiplayer horror game. It's why a lot of people buy CoD, because they want to use the game to ruin someone's day.
Yes winning, getting kill streaks, and making flashy plays isn’t the reason I buy CoD.
It’s to “ruin someone’s day” and be an “online bully” when the other player is literally buying it for the exact same reason I do and goes into each game knowing they can either win or lose.
You act like people are being forced into playing video games or something.

For example, on survivor I feel soooo naked without bond! It's my go-to on everyone. I Love the information I get from it. Also, be nice! Everyone has their own opinions :)
I can’t play without iron will. Sometimes there is just no time to heal and it stops you from being instantly found when you are already injured. It’s also really good at some loops, and pairs well with a ton of other stealth perks that would be useless without it.
Killer, I have never had something permanently slotted. Probably my most used is discordance though.

Someone hiding behind a rock should be able to dodge it? And how am I being predictable when I'm hitting prediction shots? Also I've tried making the best use out of the addons he has and it felt like such a waste of bloodpoints buying them. The only ones that felt okay was range and longer use of power.
I really love his power the way it is. It’s incredibly strong and you can still fake it or drag yourself all the way in front of them for a body block.
Just throwing M2s at them in a straight line is very hard, you want to throw them at an angle so they have less room to dodge. Or throw them just as you break line of sight, though that’s riskier.
I think trail duration and recharge are also fantastic in addition to range and power duration. They let you be more map control oriented instead of pure chase since you can lay down tons of trails around an area quickly.
Getting insidious for an add on slot honestly isn’t that bad either.

I used to run it 24/7 on survivor, the information can be invaluable and it's really great for that. I don't care as much as the action speed compared to the info.
But I've been using it a crutch for too long, and I'm trying to play much more often without it. Take off the training wheels and get some better gamesense, y'know?
Yeah get some better game sense against that scratched mirror Myers / ghost face that sent you to Lerys. Or maybe against that monitor + abuse slinger about to come around the corner already in range to shoot you.
I think it’s the best perk in the game for survivor hands down. You don’t need a million second chance perks if you are not going down in the first place.

You're wasting your time. People who can't loop will always complain about Bubba no matter what you say.
Just today I faced one. He got a 0k against random solos (full red rank lobby including the killer). Neither me nor the other survivors even brought any items or meta builds and that (prestige-)Bubba had Ruin+Undying.
He is still countered by distance (unlike stronger killers like Nurse/Spirit), "difficult" objects (i.e. loops with pointy corners), pallets and windows.
Good players know he's mechanically fair and fine. Bad players don't want to improve so they'll demand nerfs. Simple as.
Also countered by random hanging vines that for some reason stop a chainsaw, and unexpected tree branches.
I think he’s fine, if survivors are going down early enough he can camp out a win that is their own problem.

First I go check my rule book, then consult a myriad of streamers who condemn tunneling but can be seen doing it regularly.
