Of course. Even with Blight or Nurse, I tunnel every single game now.
I will not say sorry for this, because thats obviously the way the devs patching their game.
and how has nerfing yourself been? fun?

Idk ill have to take your opinion for it since at least in my experience a dredge on nightfall is no more dangerous than he is outside of it, the game is darker and thats all you can still waste his time in a loop to make nightfall run out.
I mean yes you can loop him, but that can be said for literally any killer. Thing is some killers aren't meant to loop, Dredge is one of them. Even then he still has options

If you let a dredge which is basically an m1 killer snowball your team you have a very big skill issue, oni, billy, blight, nurse and huntress I get, but who gets snowballed by a dredge? You have yo be really bad at looping.
Nightfall and being able to recharge your power every 5 seconds turns any loop into a 50/50. Mixed with pretty good mobility, and he is definitely nothing to brush off

I just personally disagree with your take. There are much better perks that give you better info than new eruption and also it just encourages slugging. We already know survivors hate being slugged and don't forget the base kit unbreakable change they tested in a PTB a while back can still happen. If that does happen then snowballing and Eruption's new 10s aura will completely be made useless. It's, in my opinion, the new Eruption will not have a place in the meta and honestly will not see any use at all due to the fact it's a bad regression perk and a bad info perk.
There is only 1 other information perk that fills the niche Eruption does tho, and thats Infectious Fright. The reason why you'd take Eruption over it is simple, some killers with good snowballing capabilities don't have a large TR. The added slowdown is also pretty nice considering the rest of the gens you don't get an aura reveal from you now know will be regressing. Will it be the best regression perk? No. Will it be the best information perk? No. But its the only perk in the game that will fill that niche for a single perk slot.
As for basekit unbreakable making it weaker, more than likely yes. How ever a 45 second window is also a pretty large window and this perk will keep shining where it is now, which is in mid to late game.
This is of course all speculative, can't really make any real judgement yet since we don't have our hands on it. Reason why I'm trying to be optimistic is because everyone loves to act as if its the end of the world the moment they see a perk they've been crutching on is in the next Patch Notes or Dev Update (See DH and Pain Res)

All it's going to do is lead to people getting slugged though. I'd do an entity block.
Entity Block would just be another Dead Hard situation, sure the perk would be weaker but the same frustrations would be there
The perk will lead to slugging yes, how ever the killers that will benefit from this perk the most would slug anyway.

Ok so why was this approach not taken with DH or CoH, "extremely strong perks"? One of which has received 4 nerfs and is still a top tier perk pick and the other went from the #1 most picked survivor perk...to the #1 most picked survivor perk.
Where in this post did I say I didn't think these perks need changing? I mean CoH I don't think needs it, I just think healing in general needs a look at.
-
cool story bro
-
Honestly I think this perk will be fine as is. Sure they nuked it, but literally any logical change would of been a nuke with how strong it was
I see Eruption working on killers that can snowball really well like Oni, Billy or Dredge. Dredge I can imagine will thrive with it since his snowball potential comes from Nightfall, which makes one of the best snowballing perks in the game Infectious Fright not work. This also goes for any killer with a shorter TR.
Eruption will definitely still have its place in the meta, it just wont be nearly as oppressive or irritating

I think I've run into that here. I feel like the main limiting factor is just how many people are playing on things that don't allow cross-communication, and the scale of games.
When you go through four people in ten minutes and 2/3 of them can't communicate with you rather than a lobby of like 20 people that won't shut up, the amount of terrible behaviour is going to be lower, but the incidence of it still seems absurdly disproportionate. Especially the ones that are just there to be pricks.
I mean even before crossplay it still wasn't that bad

Basically? Because BHVR wills it so.
They seem to be stuck in the early 2010's with the mindset of there being something worth retaining about the nastier sides of gaming/the internet. It's very odd, as - on the other hand - they spend a lot of energy trying to maintain an image as a hard-progressive company.
Nobody wants DbD to be Club Penguin. But I also personally don't want it to be CS:GO.

Eh...
I've been playing online since Quake 2.
About the only games more/as consistently toxic as DbD is would be pre-Tribunal League of Legends, CS:GO, some of the early MMOs, Smite, EVE Online, early XBL, the original DOTA map and a few others.
This is not company you want to be in.
Yes, there's always a bigger horse - but that's neither here nor there. It's mildly annoying how people always insist on turning this into a toxicity Olympics.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340735#Comment_3340735
The old XBL is probably one of the most uniquely horrible communities of all time, but...yeah, see above.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340951#Comment_3340951
I'll take 'Things That Aren't Toxicity' for 400, Alex.
These are cheese. Much like a 6pool or spawn camper.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340912#Comment_3340912
Starcraft 2.
But again, there's always a bigger horse.
The only toxicity in DbD you face is some one bming in game and maybe throwing in an "ez ur bad"
From my roughly 10 hours of experience in LoL and over 500 in CSGO, Ive been told to off myself and so many more vile things than my over 5k hours in DbD.
DbD really aint that bad. But I dont really count generic ingame BM as toxic.

Do you think bullies takes on the alone role or surround themselves with others? Perhaps the absolute psychos play killer more but they are fewer than the bullies. Survivors have many more toxic players just keep an eye on them end game chats on PC and see how many of them react bad to losing compared to killer players.
I'm survivor main myself but you must be blind if you don't see what role toxic players prefer.
They really dont tho, again it may seem like it simply because you on average come across (as a solo player) 3 or 4 Survivors per 1 killer. If you play 10 games theres obviously a much bigger chance that Survivors will say something in endgame chat
-
DbD has just as much toxicity as any other game. The reason why Survivors seem much more toxic than killers is because you encounter more Survivors than you do Killers.
-
-A Ranked Mode should be added
-VC should be in the game with the option to disable it and block other players.
-Prove Thyself really isnt that great of a perk
-Circle of Healing is not an issue. What it does is shine light on the actual problem which is healing in general.
-The Knight is one of the strongest killers in the game and is being heavily slept on
-The Blight needs a few basekit and add on adjustments. Having that much mobility on a max 15 second cooldown is ridiculous.
-Devs should post stats on the average hook rate instead of kill rate.
-
Ok but also this is a game thats meant to be fun for everyone
You're not meant to get a 4k every game either

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3339940#Comment_3339940
Cool story bro.
nah nah. thats my thing, doesnt apply here
Knight is FAR from a "subpar killer". Everything you said in this post suggests you have no idea how to play him. Cant really blame you since no one would expect a killer like this to share similarities with Trapper and Hag.
-
Why is it that after every event people complain about this like its a new thing?
-
Honestly this is a difficult one. I see a lot of people saying 3 gen's how ever gen kicking was only added roughly 9 months after the games release, and even then it was MUCH worst than it is now. Kicking a gen could only regress a maximum of 25%, and it took just as long to kick a gen than it did a pallet which was 3 seconds at the time. There also weren't many perks to regress gens, Ruin was basically the only good gen regression perk, which also VERY different.
My guess is a Sabo Squad since that's always been a thing, how ever I don't know how that could make the killer drop chase. I'm probably missing something but that's my guess
-
People will never stop complaining. Its much easier to do so than getting better and admitting your own faults
-
its just your typical "the other side received more attention than mine this patch" over-reaction. The complaints will more than likely die down pretty soon
-

- It's way stronger against Demo. You cannot mindgame with shred, as an example, because it's really telegraphed. You may as well not have an ability at a certain level of play.
- That 'almost'...this is why I'm not a fan of weasel words. Because 'almost' is important.
- Yes, just like when Eruption is nerfed people will complain about Pain Resonance. That's...not the masterstroke you think it is. There are tens of thousands of posters on this forum.
- Sprint Burst is substantially weaker than DH. Are you going to contest that? Because I can prove it with a simple image.
- Bull. Crap. People don't pick perks because they are 'fun'. People pick perks because they are either A. the easiest path to victory or B. massive QOL improvements (Shadowborn, WoO etc.).
- I still don't get why Spirit is considered top tier. She has one addon combination that's strong, and outside of that she's...okay. It's like saying Myers is top tier because TSP. Plague is stronger, Artist is way stronger.
- Blossom has been bugged for months now.
- Nurse's power comes at a drawback. There's a reason her gross kill rates are so low. I...actually really don't mind facing Nurse now, because it's a really enjoyable skill versus skill showdown. Hell, nerf Alch ring and a few other addons and Blight will be okay too.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337201#Comment_3337201
Says who, and what numbers?
-At max distance its reactable, other than that its unreactable. What a Survivor is reacting to at that moment is movement, cancelling Shred will more than likely make them use Dead Hard, unless they make the correct read that youre cancelling Shred.
-The "almost" is because there are some killers where it is a lose lose. Such as Huntress with some distance between her and a Survivor, or Demo at max distance.
-People will quite literally complain about anything, the complaints that should be listened to are the loudest and most common. Yes that includes Dead Hard. This game is meant to be different and fun every time you play it, and a perk with a pickrate thats WAY above the rest that a majority of people have an issue with should have a look at.
-Sprint Burst is not weaker, its just not as fun to use and doesnt feel nearly as rewarding. Dead Hard is just more fun and adds an extra variable to the game that can only be achieved through an interaction with the killer itself. Does the mean the perk is bad? No of course not, but the fun factor is definitely a big reason why its being used, it being viable is just the cherry on top. Think of it like Nurse and Blight. Nurse beats Blight in almost everything, but for some Blight is much more fun to play.
-See my previous point
-The only thing thats changed about Spirit is her add ons, in competitive she still has the same counterplay which is predrop a pallet and attempt to win the 50/50 (which is still heavily in Spirits favor since she still has more information on you than you have on her). The only time this doesnt work is at a REALLY strong pallet, such as the ones by bathroom on Gideon, or the god pallet on Lery's
-How is it bugged?
-Nurse has a drawback which means almost nothing with just a little bit of experience, her power more than makes up for it. You may not mind versing her, just like how I dont mind Dead Hard, doesnt mean they should remain the same. As for Blight, Alch Ring needs a downside. Id make it take 50% longer for token regen while also keeping its current effect. This way youre still rewarded the same way, but punished MUCH more for missing.

Yes, but barely. DH is, now that survivors have a feel for it, near-as-dammit as annoying as it was before 6.1.0, and straight up more powerful against some of the weakest killers in the game (Demo immediately comes to mind).
Top of...what exactly?
Gross kill rates? Nurse sucks. Blight and Spirit are fine.
Tip top MMR? Then sure, nerf them. But then we're looking at a lot of stuff that needs a nerf.
DH really ain't stronger in any scenario against some killers since it lost the whole DH for distance which basically guaranteed value with enough practice, now its turned into a mind game in almost every single scenario. I guarantee you the moment DH is nerfed, people will cry about Sprint Burst since it turns any single part of the map into a safe zone. Just broke 3 pallets in this one area and all thats left is a T-L? Too bad, mr Sprint Burst can make it to Asylum main building. The only reason why people use DH more is because its more fun and actually has to make you think about who you're going against. Every single use is a mind game, and adds depth to what is normally a 1 and done kind of thing to multiple scenarios. DH received the perfect rework.
Top of what? Tierlists. Nurse and Spirit are still very much at the top despite being nerfed. Spirit how ever I think is in a much healthier place, its just her add ons that need a looksie since MDR and the DCM are a little dumb. Nurse had one of her issues looked at, which was her synergy with perks despite having the strongest power in the game. Her other issue is unlike other killers, she remains at the same strength chase wise throughout the game. Even Spirit and Blight still have to deal with pallets, and the longer the game goes on the faster they're able to get downs thanks to the number of them decreasing. Nurse on the other hand doesn't care how many resources are left on the map, she'll down you just as fast with or without them. My solution? Make her play in reverse compared to other killers. Make her strongest at the early game, and make her weaker towards the end game. This way there's a more interesting back and forth and both sides will have to think more about making plays that could benefit you more late game, other than just benefiting you at the current moment.

They nerfed Nurse.
They nerfed Spirit.
Blight is the only outlier.
They also nerfed Dead Hard
At the end of the day, doesn't really matter considering they're still at the top. I personally don't have an issue with any of them other than Nurse. Only way I see her being balanced is giving her a complete rework.

This time, they were teleporting between gens so that they could finish them without being caught.

Oh, really? So how should i play around this "not-infinite"?
And could you please notify Mother's Dwelling and Garden of Joy that they no longer have an infinite? I'm afraid those maps don't know about that
The term infinite was created back in 2016, when there were loops that were quite literally infinites. No bloodlust or entity blockers meant if a Survivor was able to reach the window there was nothing the killer could do about it
Mothers Dwelling and Garden of Joy dont even come close to what an infinite was
-
It is one of the stronger windows in the game, but no where near an infinite. Theyve been gone for a long time
-
Why care about grades anymore? Sure its a nice chunk of BP, but with a bp code/log in bonus coming out almost every week, and how cheap things are in the bloodweb nowadays, it really aint something to stress over.
-
idk
but my billy sure is enjoying it
-
cant wait when they add the 2 killer gamemode and then people will complain about "Kill with Friends"
-
Just because you pressed the button to activate it doesnt mean you used it correctly. Thats like saying that if I see a Survivor as Huntress they should automatically take a hit simply because I tapped M2, no aiming required.
DH only has a .5 second window, thats not a lot to work with making you have to read when the killer is going to swing.

What do you mean hes bad in this meta?? If anything he thrives in this meta considering its all about controlling gens.

So something unintended is the reason why something shouldnt be added..?
right..
-
I think its pretty good now, the main building is still pretty strong but its pretty isolated from anything else other than maybe 2 filler pallets on the sides of it. The rest of the map is very similar to Coal Tower. Sides have quite a few loops which chain well with each other but the middle is for the most part pretty lack luster, spawning very few pallets.
Id say the map is pretty solid now.
-
Always was a decent pick
-
Depends what kind of 3rd party software were talking here. If its something like filters, custom icons or one thats been popping up recently which is the auto bloodweb script then youll be fine. As mentioned before though, BHVR does not ban for it and wont do so. But if Easy Anti Cheat sees something going on then they might, and if you do get banned because of them its in their hands, not BHVR.
If its something that gives you progression/cosmetics, or just straight up cheats. That ones obviously not allowed

How does that work? Shouldn't my MMR be different for all my Killers but the incentive is set before I choose a Killer.
Your MMR does differ from each killer yes, how ever its not a drastic difference between them. Because of this the game probably averages your MMR between all your killers and sets the incentives that way
This is just a guess tho, its possible it calculates it some other way
-
-
I've said this before and I'll say it again. No one started jumping out of their seat when ever they saw a Hillbilly, if anything he was seen very similarly if not identical to current day Blight. Very fun base-kit when using off meta perks and add ons, but the majority simply used Insta-Saw with very generic builds.
Also you only really overheat when misusing your Chainsaw. Only problem I have with that is all it does is punish newer Billy's while barely having an effect on experienced ones. What I'd do personally to fix this is make the chainsaw still useable, but make it so it doesn't insta down. This way new players can still learn to use the chainsaw with more wiggle room, and he wont ever be denied of his mobility.
If you're interested on the specifics on what I'd do to Billy, heres the post: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/312958/my-attempt-at-a-hillbilly-rework#latest

Tunneling to me is a Killer going straight after an unhooked Survivor, they might hit the savior beforehand but quickly go back to person who was just unhooked.
