how much have you played?
2100 hrs.
I'm not claiming I win most of my games in solo-queue, but 25% is a very extreme number.

And this is that dumb "because he's played too much" that I don't understand we should nerf windows because it's used too much it's dumb reasoning
You asked why people wanted him nerfed I gave you a reason and its simply that I want him played less.
DH got nerfed so it could be used less not because it was OP (proof being its unchanged functionality,) I don't see why Wesker is exempt.

I'm obviously joking but it does frustrate me
How are you averaging only a 25% escape rate as Survivor though? I haven't even reached that low in solo queue.
-
I want to see him less and a nerf would make me see him less regardless if its deserved or not.
-
I swear from the way you people talk about DBD I feel like I'm playing a completely different game.
Its really never that serious.

Killers play wesker constantly because he's incredibly overpowered, being able to dash around the map with lightning speed, have built in slowdown whenever you hit a survivor (or they're oneshot and 8% hindered), survivors being half infected off hook for easy tunneling, being able to easily vault pallets and windows with his power, his power being too easy to use around loops and then also his massive hitbox to top it all off.
They just want the easiest wins possible with minimal amount of effort.
Survivors DC because they're sick and tired of seeing him constantly and they're hopeless cause they know the chance of escaping the match are slim to none, why play a match you can't win and also wont have fun?
He's not incredibly overpowered that sounds like a skill-issue.
Most Weskers are terrible and free wins, the entire problem is literally just over-saturation.

Why do you take it so personally?

I agree with you about those perks not being OP but Resilience -is- mainly brought just for the gen speed.
The other things are a plus but when someone brings Resilience, it's because of the gen speed.
Maybe I'm just different then. I don't disagree that the gen speed is very strong and good to have, but I mainly bring Resilience for the vault speed because I use it in chase builds and I dislike wasting time healing.
If I'm concerned with gens I won't bring Resilience in my build as my entire objective is to evade the killer and slam gens while they're away.

DH is not the only broken perk actually. 😂
When survivors have 3 to 4 resilience, it is still not gen rush perks ?
My win rate before gen regression nerf was way higher and i could compete with SWFs. Now it is just out of control and i'm forced to tunnel.
Even defending 3 gens is not powerfull enough anymore.
I mean DH is not broken neither are MFT or Resilience.
It is not because Resilience is not a gen perk, but a perk that also includes gen speeds. Nobody takes Resilience specifically to do gens faster.
Then by your own admission you just aren't as good as you thought and its a skill issue, I have nothing more to contribute to this thread.

Who talked about DH ?
Gen rushing = all survivors are single gening, 90 seconds 3 gens done, the 2 remaining just need 2 or 3 minutes to be done.
MFT + Resilience is broken on a single survivor, 3 of them have those perks, extending chases far too much.
+ your bad faith in one single message :) Made For This is so fun (not sarc.) — BHVR
You did when you circled it in your image and cited it as carrying survivors?
You do not know what Gen Rushing means.
You can only Gen Rush with Gen items and perks.
What was your winrate before the End Transmission chapter if I might ask?

"MFT is gamebreakingly OP" it is
all the perk does is ######### on most lower tier characters and barely affect any of the higher tier killers. and then when its spirit wesker blight nurse every single game people complain endlessly
It's not and no matter how much people complain it never will be.
Even if the perk got nerfed today (and it is getting nerfed eventually.) You would still be wrong.

It doesnt. if you read my second comment you'd know that the game goes off what happened first in real time. it hasnt favored killer since the game was p2p and killer hosted. The point of the first comment was to say its stupid to complain your ping is bad and pretend its an issue with game design. Not the devs fault someone has a bad router, they shouldnt have the balance for that.
Sidenote how does wesker get handheld? He already has to predict you perfectly and sometimes urobend just to get the hit. Not like blight or nurse who have lunges to correct imperfection, if he doesnt play perfectly then he misses and loses distance. Thats why his hits are rewarded more with basekit slowdown since their harder to land.
I have never gotten a benefit from the killer lagging not once, so idk about that one buddy.
Also blaming people for the servers being terrible is a classic, I have 0 ping issues in any other game besides DBD currently. It is most definitely a dev issue they need to sort out.
I don't find Wesker overpowered and think he's hard to play in higher MMR's but he has a negative skill floor and it is entirely due to his power.
Two generous dashes in case you mess up the first one with giant hitboxes that also extend over vaults, free zoning without even trying, built in slowdown, great tunneling and camping ability, stagger is so minimal for failing his power that the majority of survivors will never be able to exploit it.
Blight's power is way more skill-intensive for sure.

I've gotten 5 Hags today for some reason and they all played like this:

Fair game
Trash survivors carried by their perks and gen rushing
Pop, Bam, No Where to Hide and you're playing Wesker.
But DH is a crutch perk??? Also lol @ gen rush when they have 0 toolboxes or gen perks.
-
@nars said:
oh no ping exists this is weskers fault
You say that sarcastically like its not stupid that ping is killer favored intentionally.
The amount of VPN'ing killers or killers with terribad connections that just get free hits and ruin the integrity of the match is annoying enough to be a real problem.
Its even worse on Wesker 'cause that killer already gets handheld enough, don't think laggy hits should also be granted too.
-
I enjoy not trolling my teammates sorry.
-
Its annoying and 80% of them are terrible so the game ends in 2 minutes, 10% rely on gimmick hits, and the remaining 10% are actually good at the killer to where it feels like nothing you do matters.
I was pretty happy when he was killswitched too.
-
With his bugs getting removed I think it'll be a lot better.
Also think the buff to his power hitbox should get reverted but that's just me.

last day of the event. I'm sure a lot of people pop in just to play then, or are about to start taking a break after lots of playing
Don't doubt it but I'm playing with a SWF and we def have above average MMR, there's no reason we should be getting new players and the games are stomp after stomp.
I've been taking No Mither just to make it more fair.
-
Another one.
-
It would help if the full bar took precedence over the hook animation.
The amount of times I get vacuumed to the hook with a full bar is very annoying, makes me miss the old wiggle system a lot more.
Wiggling out should be rare though.
-
@CrusaderNella said:
In that case, can't an arguement then be made for BHVR removing all items that speeds up gen repairs, other than perks?
Just spit balling here
But then what would toolboxes do? Sabo would have to be buffed to hell and back, and I can already take a guess that people wouldn't like that either.
-
The only time Gen rushing is a real thing is 4 man swf with multiple toolboxes and bnps.
Anything else is hyperbole and frustration over being bad at Gen defense.
-
Not OP but he gets his hand-held too much for my liking.
-
Hello Skittles,
My take on this topic is that most people fail to grasp what balancing actually is and what it means for a game. In truth, the best method of balancing for a PVP game is to balance through imbalance.
People don't realize that if this game was truly balanced it would die quickly because it would be boring.
The Gen-Kick meta was actually quite balanced in my opinion, which makes it a perfect example because it was miserable and got totally deleted.
Killers finally had a very strong answer to the fact that gen progression items and builds were extremely strong, borderline unbalanced, and thus the game was a balanced tug-of-war. But who enjoyed it? DBD was never meant to be played in 10-20 minute sessions of chipping away at your objective. Its supposed to be fast-paced intense gameplay from start to finish, in order to achieve that, there has to be things that heavily sway the tide of a match.
Having high-high's and low-low's is what makes the game so addicting in my opinion and contributes to its current success.
-
Killer is 80% macro 20% micro.
Survivor is 80% micro 20% macro.
Given this it's very hard to compare the two but they can still be compared.
Realistically a killer that fails at macro should lose often, likewise a survivor bad at micro should lose often as well.
In order to be a high level player, you need to be good at both. But even being good at one aspect means you should still win games.
That's why I never understand why people say one side or the other is impossible to do win on. It just feels like an admission of being bad at the game.
Most of my swf isn't godlike at looping, but I've managed to teach them really good macro which makes up for it, so if the killer ever tunnels me or chases me a lot we win like 65-70% of our games. However if they get tunneled we usually only get a 2 out at best.
When I play killer, even if I'm bad at the killer, I still win most of my games purely through being decent at gen or hook defense.
As for which is harder, I'd say Killer purely because 4 brains vs 1.
-
You will still lose after the perk gets nerfed btw.

Yet those win streaks are often accomplished using tactics and play styles that are constantly complained about in this community. The top blight win streak was the subject of much controversy because of the reaction the player got with lots of people criticising the killer.
Everyone can get better and keep improving. But there is a definitive correlation between winning and sweating in this game. The problem is people who want to play relatively chill have no way to avoid those who want to play as hard as possible save for avoiding sacrificing survivors a.k.a. not fully playing the game as intended.
The OP may be playing “bad” as you put it. What’s more likely is they’ve reached a point where they will have to employ certain unfun tactics and strategies in order to keep up.
My first question is why does it matter what people think. You're playing to win no?
I sweat virtually every game on survivor. I bring bnps, I use meta loadouts. If I get a good map I use the strongest loops. I expect the killer to do the same.
It's about being graceful in victory tbh, I never tbag and always say ggwp.
If you're playing killer and you care about winning, then play to win and ignore haters.
People who want to play suboptimally and expect their opponents to always match them make no sense. There's only one queue. So you need to accept you'll get stomped more often than not if you don't play to win.
-
I also took a 2 month break, came back and lost most of my games, now I win most of my games.
Gen kick meta is thankfully dead in the ground, so now games have a lot more interaction.
I'd say just play and see, better than any conclusion others can give you that might warp your opinion. People love exaggerating.

Shirtless male survivors are okay but when people ask for shirtless female survivor skins (ofc with bra) it's weird. I'll never understand this logic lol.
I am not meaning you both said this but i saw hate against shirtless female survivors on forum before.
Blame the same people who would and have complained fanservice skins are ruining the game.
Male shirtless skins can be spun as bring "cool" but ppl would ######### their pants at the women showing some boob.
Although don't Mikaela and Ada have some revealing clothes already?
-
People will give you lazy answers like blaming a perk or your choice of killer.
If you truly want to observe your gameplay and improve, record!
Record when you win or lose, you'll be amazed how much you can notice from watching vods. Find someone else who's experienced and ask them to review your vod or compare your gameplay to high end players.
If people can get massive winstreaks in really high mmr it's definitely doable, just have to be super open to the idea you might be playing bad.

Why especially him? What's wrong with "especially him" .
I never enjoyed many of his movies. I think he's boring visually.
Acting style not for me.
I feel like there's way better choices. Also would prefer a female celeb because there's a ton of iconic final girls to choose from.

Higher MMR streamers literally see the perk at least once in every game.
And then still win an overwhelming majority of their games.
So where do we go from here?

The fact that you even made that first sentence encapsulates exactly what's wrong with the direction of this game's balance.
If you're playing 110 killers to hold W and M1 you deserve to lose sorry.
I absolutely don't want the game balanced around playing characters wrong.
-
Pass on getting another male celebrity. Especially him.
There are so many iconic women that would be far more interesting.
-
Source: Trust me bro
-
You played an off meta build and weaker killer against a premade that was playing efficiently and somehow that proves a point?
Does it also count if I post the screenshots of my chest build teammates getting smashed by a P100 blight with alch ring and crow?
-
The only perk I think needs nerfing is sloppy.
But I have to ask, why are killers not allowed to use meta perks without being called boring?
I dont really care what perks are in play as long as I feel I can outplay it and win which I mostly do. Gen kick meta definitely is the exception but current killer meta is fine.
Besides, any further killer nerfs will either lead to basekit buffs or a very harsh survivor nerf again which I don't want.
-
@Mr_K said:
Your prestige means nothing to the 9/10 killers you go against. The goal of most tryhard killers is to kill one survivor as fast as possible. If prestige meant anything it would be the killer tunneling out the lowest prestige survivor.
I wish you were right so bad.
But whenever I attempt to play my David it takes 8 minutes to get into a game due to dodges.
And the games I do get into are always Nurse and Blight. Not worth it.
-
That was me on my alt account sorry was proving a point.
-
Do people really not like Midwich?
It's one of my favorite survivor maps and is like RPD where it's really strong if you know the layout but is auto lose vs certain Killers.
The tiles just take a bit more finesse to run. I don't think it needs changes. If anything hook spawns should just be fixed and Red Room door needs a sight blocker.
-
Should I take a break Skittles?
-
Having a blast. :')
-
Maps are supposed to be for survivors imo, killer-sided maps are usually terrible and not fun to play on.
I get that Cowshed was bad for killer, but damn the rework for it is terrible.
-
I don't blame the killer, when I go on hook and see 3 gens about to pop I already mentally prepare myself for a camp 'cause I would do that if I was playing killer.
When I SWF I always tell my friends to wait until we get the unhook before finishing multiple gens otherwise the killer will come back or tunnel.

Its really bad timing to release such a reward, would've been better right after a new chapter release.
My guess is that it got delayed for whatever reason and was supposed to release earlier.
-
Trying to get Vittorio to P100 (second one after David.) Then get a headstart on Jonah.
If I could spend points on killer without having to go through the whole menu I'd probably give them some love, but I'm lazy.
-
They do its called chase one survivor for the entire game and then open the gates once gens are done.
Either the survivor dies and forces the others to save and interact or they run you long enough to get the game over with.
It's a win win and you don't even have to look at them when you open gate to see BM.
