in our heads:
blood type = practical medical use and info in case of emergency MMR number = something people would try and fail to use and brag about
we know not everyone would do that but thats just our thoughts
Most of the time, knowing your blood type is pointless. It's mostly just to know. Seeking knowledge isn't a bad thing.

People already love to argue in bad faith like "oh you must be low MMR". Or here on the forums "oh you only have so many posts".
You're not gonna get rid of any of that behavior. That being said I also don't understand what knowing my MMR does for me, or anyone else for that matter. Except for what you say, bragging rights and possibly attempting to center balance discussions around high MMR players opinions.
Besides that, the way MMR is calculated is busted to begin with, so the number representing it is equally as busted.
If we didn't center balance around high mmr, Dead Hard, BNP, AHS, and many other busted things wouldn't have been nerfed. DBD is balanced around high mmr and high mmr player opinions.
-
The game has been centered around trying to be balanced. Why do you think dbd has nerfs, buffs, and reworks? They're trying to balance the game so everything can be fun and viable. And if dbd allowed us to see our mmr, we'd be able to understand our own individual skill level, rather then guessing what our individual skill level is.

Consider why it takes a bunch of hassle to abuse a system not intended to be used to just know what your fake skill number is, maybe?
And as I said, we should not be giving the community ammo to pretend theyre more skilled than each other.

Except it wouldn't be pretending. And how would people abuse the system? We already know that escaping through the exit gates and getting 3+ kills raises your mmr while hatch doesn't change it.

Why would someone want to know what blood type they have? What's wrong with the desire to know?

Giving this playerbase a number they can misread as a perfect approximation of their skill is a horrendous idea and I'm glad BHVR realised that too when they moved away from Grades and towards MMR.
You can already check it, but you have to go through a bunch of hassle to find out.

Removing the dc penalty would give you a bot in their place. If we don't do that, people will keep unaliving on hook to avoid the penalty. Also, some people unalive on hook to give the other survivor hatch.
Also, removing the timer would help players who have bad/unstable internet. I have a friend who cannot the game at certain times because of his internet.

Can you please add game logs to your report if you are on PC?
HOW TO GET YOUR LOGS (THIS PART ONLY APPLY TO PC PLAYERS):
When you get the issue, close your game and do not reopen it until you get your logs.
- Press Win+R
- Type in appdata
- Press OK
- In opened window navigate to: \Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- Usually you would need to attach the DeadByDaylight.log file.
- Add the file to your bug report

If one side gets no dc penalty, both sides need to. Also, if you read my first post, I said they should remove hook suicides. I'm not fine with survivors ruining games, but you make it harder to ruin games, not easier.
The DC penalty would be removed for killer when they can be replaced with bots.
As for Attempt escape, there's no reason to remove it, as they'd just go afk at the hook so they get Crows. Removing the penalty on the other hand, let's them leave the match, let's you have a teammate still, and the match to continue as normal. Killer's DC penalty should only remain until Killer bots are introduced, that way, a salty killer doesn't end the entire match. As for idea of being able to rejoin a match you left, that's a pretty good idea, considering players can get disconnected due to bad wifi. That's also another reason to remove the dc penalty. DBD can't tell if it was a genuine rage quit or a network issue.

Bots are only a replacement for a bad player. Any half decent player, its a downgrade. Also, no killer wants to play against bots, as they're just boring to play against. If they wanted that, they'd be in customs. Plus, that's only for survivors. Are you fine with any match you got an advantage in ending early when the killer decides to leave? Or, if they added them, always playing against a bot killer in any winning game?
It's better than no teammate, and as for killers, keep the DC penalty till we get killer bots. Also, no survivor wants to be down a whole teammate because someone is having a tantrum. Are you fine with any match you got where the killer got a advantage because a player decides to kill themselves on hook? If I wanted to have a miserable experience, I'd play an unfair game like Halo 2 Laso.
-
The only way to do that would be adjusting how the skill checks work in the second stage.
-
@NarkoTri1er said:
why should DC penalties be removed? So that person can ruin match for their 3 other teammates in order to go for next match where they will very likely ruin match for another 3 players?
So they'll be replaced with a bot instead of killing themselves on the hook.

This has been happening for like 2 month now, popular and small content creators on twitch, YouTube and Twitter have been getting randomly banned out of nowhere. AbnormalRamen, Altair, Griff, Angelolo. The amount of people getting banned out of nowhere is starting to freak me out. Choy says there are hackers impersonating these popular accounts and getting them falsely banned, they're also apprently going for random players what's really a HUGE problem. Every time I play DBD now I'm absolutely terrified of waking up and having my account taken down out of nowhere. This cannot keep on going, how can we protect ourselves from getting randomly banned and if we do how can we recover our accounts if every ticket is getting immediately closed without any investigations unless the community makes a huge fuss about it.

Gonna preface this saying I play both killer and survivor both. Playing a 2 stack against Trapper, partner and I are the last 2 and both on death hook, my partner goes down, I'm running Left Behind, so the plan is hatch. They not only leave my partner down trying to sniff me out, but go back, set a trap, pick my partner up, and internationally step in it so they get free. Tracks me down, death hook, and then immediately back to my partner for the same thing. Again, we were both on death hook, it wasn't a case of showing mercy to my partner. Are some of y'all really THAT hell bent on getting 4K that you will go THAT FAR out of your way for it? Even when I play killer I don't go to that much effort just to get the 4th.

I've been in too many matches where players either bring BROWN offerings or no offerings just to spite other people in the lobby.
Players who don't bring cakes DURING THE ANNIVERSARY shouldn't receive bonus bloodpoints.
As soon as the anniversary ends, that should no longer apply, so players can bring cakes and everybody benefits from them after the event.
You can choose not to bring a cake during the anniversary, that's fine, but you shouldn't receive bonus bloodpoints from other players' cakes.

DBD Chapter: Killing Floor
Killer: The Patriarch
Power:
Superior genetics. Hold the active ability down to stand in place for 3 seconds and fire a rocket from your arm. If a Survivor is hit by the rocket, they enter the dying state. Upon firing a rocket, The Patriarch will enter a 5 second reload animation for the rocket arm before being able to move again.
Maternal Instincts. Over the course of the match, Maternal Instincts will fill up from 0% to 100%. Once it reaches 100%, hold L1/LT/LMB/ to activate Maternal Instincts. Once active, The Patriarch will become cloaked, and 3 Zeds will spawn around the map, hunting down survivors. Zeds have a speed of 4.1. 4 vents around the map will be highlighted to survivors. Each vent can be closed, reduce the time that Maternal Instincts will be active by 5 seconds. Maternal Instincts lasts for 30 seconds. If a Zed makes contact with a survivor, the survivor will lose a health state. While Maternal Instincts is active, The Patriarch cannot injure, nor collide with survivors. However, The Patriarch can kick generators, break pallets/breakable walls, and vault windows.
Ultra Rare add-on:
Syringe- *A useful serum that boosts the healing process of the user.* Whenever you are stunned, Maternal Instincts becomes fully recharged. "Save me my children! Don't let them do this!"
Chase quotes:
"You can't run forever!"
"Eventually I will catch you!"
"Look at you! Running around like insects. I'll crush you like the pest you are."
"You sure are good at running away."
Stun quotes:
"You'll pay for what you've done!"
"I'll show you no mercy."
"Now this is a fight!"
"Now we're having fun."
"That hardly hurts!"
"You're really starting to piss me off!"
"You're ruining everything!"
"What do you think your doing!"
Maternal Instincts activation quotes:
"My children are returning, it makes me so proud."
"Come! Help me my children!"
"Come! Come out and make your father proud!"
"We are a family! My children will show you, how much they love me."
Hooking quotes:
"I always told her, I'd make something of myself. And she never listened."
"Superior genetics!"
"I don't think you fully understand the situation, you're all going to die."
"Everything is so simple, when you have a rocket Launcher for an arm."
Mori quotes:
"What was it you hoped to accomplish? I cannot be stopped."
"This is it? This is the best they had? What a waste of time!"
"I thought you were the best, but your just like all the others."
"Send more men! Send entire armies! I cannot be stopped!"
"You're pathetic!"

and dataminers can’t be wrong or outdated?
Also, a partygame can still have skill based matchmaking to ensure that players with different skill levels don’t get matched against eachother.
also, trapper got buffs, blight got nerfs, and killers are not meant to be on the same strength level anyway - that was never the devs intention.. (because it’s not a highly competitive game)
My little Oni was a fun little game but wouldn’t stand a chance as a standalone game mode as it doesn’t have much depth to it.
those same content creators would sweat in unranked mode, let’s be a bit honest.
How would dataminers be wrong when they literally dig through the game's files. Also, they wouldn't have outdated information because that's what has been in the files for months. Also I can tell you're biased by your argument being content creators being sweaty is based on "trust me bro" evidence. Also a party game with DBD's sbmm, is COD, a complete sweatfest where people are constantly fixated on using guns that are meta.
-
Not necessarily for non licensed killers. Also, chucky came with the rework to Ormond. It's an exception for a killer not to have their own map. That's why it's odd that those killers didn't get their own maps even now.

To be fair, Twins and Trickster's updates already broke the game in an innumerable number of ways, and I genuinely dread to think just how much worse it could've been if there were fewer resources on Blight (working on a map) to ruin every chapter that released between Silent Hill and Sadako Rising, and if there were fewer resources on Twins and Trickster respectively I unironically think BHVR's office would have somehow imploded despite people working from home.
No, in retrospect, and especially given the state of the game during that period of DBD, I think that there being no map released was for the best.
I'm just surprised they haven't worked on giving them their own maps nowadays.

Skins on release cost cells only, in which they cost with shards after a month. This has been the norm for quite a while now. They need to make a profit somehow so this is their way. There has been no skins that have had their price increase, and if they did; we would probably be notified (this is due to the store standardization prices).
The only skin to be priced weirdly is Huntress Were-Elk skin, but this is probably due to the amount of different sounds needed to be used as well as her mori being unique which to say, the price is quite expensive. You should be able to buy her with shards on the 23rd of May.What about the artists of the fog? Or the Days Gone collection?
Also the Gothic Tales

A no sbmm mode could actually make people want to run meta builds even more, since you dont know if youre going to go against a beginner or a pro. A comp could probably work with taking the meta builds away from the normal mode if it rewards good play. There will still be meta builds in the normal mode though since some people enjoy playing that way. Just removing sbmm from one mode and making a comp mode would be a bad idea since youll either go into a match where everyone sweats constantly or a mode where the difficulty of your match is completely random.
Sbmm already guarantees you're going against people who are better than you or are ona similar skill level than you. Thus making players prioritize tunneling/proxy camping or playing in 4 man swfs.
-
@Crowman said:
Dbd only has a casual mode already.
It doesn't. It is a competitive game that was once a party game.
-
@Mooks said:
the sbmm in this game does not encourage sweaty/meta driven environment.
It’s a hidden rank that people are supposed to not pay too much attention to. Players don’t know which mmr they actually have and there is literally no incentive (like BP rewards, achievements, bragging badges) to pursue higher mmr.
It’s supposed to match players with somewhat equal skill together so that players don’t get stomped without any chance or that high skilled players don’t get to face noobs. People that always sweat and try to get the best outcome at any cost… may just feel like it’s too sweaty because they are playing too sweaty??That's not how it works.
Dataminers found these points equal to the sbmm brackets:
Testing Bracket(650)
Low Skill Bracket(900-1200)
Medium Skill Bracket(1200-1600)
High Skill Bracket(1600+)
You can't drop from your previous skill bracket back to your previous one.
Imagine DBD like Rainbow Six Siege but without an unranked mode. People are constantly running meta builds and maps that are more favorable to their side. In Rainbow, people in the unranked mode don't feel forced to run the best operators, and instead, run ones they have fun playing. In ranked, people feel it necessary to run A-S tier ops and their best gear because they're being matched with people who are in it to win it. Dbd is also like that except without an unranked mode to encourage a more relaxed experience for all players.
-
@SleepyH said:
If there was a mode without sbmm then beginners would be getting destroyed and experienced players would have barely any challenge. There should be atleast something that prevents people of vastly different skill from going against one another.
A competitive mode along the normal mode could maybe work if enough people will play it. It would still probably not stop sweating in the normal mode completely.
Not necessarily. With no sbmm, players would be matched with others from all types of skill levels. Plus, it's an extra gamemode for those who don't want to sweat. Also, My Little Oni didn't have sbmm.

While we're at it, items and add-ons would be nice to share among survivors as well. But offerings are definitely the highest priority.
The reason why I stress adding bloodpoint offerings amongst all Survivors and bloodpoint offerings amongst all killers is because it doesn't directly affect the match.
-
Imo, Trapper needs a major buff since he's the face of Dead By Daylight. My ideal buff for him would be giving him Bloody Coil basekit and then making the status effect Add-ons apply to disarming his traps.

Removal of disconnect timer:
Right now, people are still quitting early via attempts and afk skill check fail. Removing the timer for Survivor would cut down on those types of cases.
How would that not just make Survivors DC more since there would be no penalty then? Like we have seen this when bHVR are forced to remove the penalty due to game issues. Survivor disconnects where through the roof.
So we get bots instead of being down a player.
