I think a bit more interesting idea would be that after every hook the killer changes into a random killer. The perks could also change to be killer specific. It would be really fun to have to constantly adapt to the new playstyles of the killer as killer or survivor.
-
No theres no way to avoid certain killers. Alot of people have suggested an system where you can choose to never go against a certain killer, but as far as i know behaviour has not said anything about the subject.
-
The problem with betting is that it could lead to throwing matches to win a bet. But i like the idea of the killer or survivor using some bp to discourage different actions on the opposite side.
-
I like the idea of a killer that just talks smack about other killers. It think its funny.
Ability wise its definetly a bit too much. I think you should get rid of some (and maybe reuse them for another concept) and or buff others.
"The saviour has arrived ability feels a bit weak since (if i understood correctly) the survivors can just step off the gen for a few seconds and the ability does nothing.
The "ALL. WILL. SUFFER." needs some changes since if a survivir doesnt have a flashlight they cant do anything. Maybe instead of using flashlights the trial spawns the yellow crosses from the "This game, wont bound me" ability.
Could you also explain what abilities the "Fall" ability exactly unlocks since it wasnt completely clear in your post.
"This game, wont bound me" is a cool idea. The survivors having to do one more thing against the killer before they can open the gates could be really interesting to go against if made correctly.
Perk wise the "Sinner" perk seems extremely strong. Unless the speed buff per token is like 0.3 or less it might be op on some killers.
"The hunt begins" does it activate when you have hit a single survivor 5 times or any survivor 5 times? Does it also last for the rest of the trial and are the unnaflicted survivors just invisible or you dont see their aura or what?
Killer appearance wise is cool but i think the body should have something that can be customised. The interactions in the 2v8 mode is a very fun idea and should be added to some other killers aswell. With a bit of reworking the abilities to make the killer less confusing to go against, i think this concept could work.
Also, if you have any ideas for the lore i would like to hear it. I want to know why or how the saviour ended up in the trials and just how strong it is. I also want to know why the entity lets it do its thing since it doesnt seem like it maybe wants to beat the entity (since it wants to remove the mark weakening Vecna).
-
The queues take a while since a lot of people want to play as killer and there are not that many survivors playing.
-
You cannot get throphies in custom matches so the only way to get it is to get into a real match with vecna.
-
Wont the community skin come free in a future rift?

I'm not sure if this still works with Left For Dead but it doesn't need to be the final gen but just a gen after everyone is dead. This might have been a bug and has since fixed but I remember seeing people mention this was how they got it. Last alive, pop any gen, killer closes hatch, escape through door. It didn't have to be the final gen, any would work as long as you finished it after everyone was dead. Here's hoping it still works that way.
I also have a couple challenges to add that I didn't think were great. You got most of the annoying ones though, I agree 100%Skilled Huntress on Console (Old)
This used to require 100 downs from 24 meters which was an insane ask. I believe it has been since been lowered to 20 but that was fairly recent; maybe this year. I got this when it was still 100 and it was a pain, even trying to farm it didn't make it any better. It's still in the top 5 rarest trophies I have.
Taking One for the Team
Requires you to take 250 protection hits from recently unhooked teammates. It's not difficult but can easily be one of the most grindy things in the game.
Edit: Honorable mention also goes to old Evil Incarnate since people could dc and ruin the entire attempt. Now with bots it's far easier; especially if you use the Meat Plant backpack strat™.
The skilled hunter on ps atleast, still requires 100 downs from 24m away.

Does anyone who plays on PS5 and is a PlayStation Stars member know if you get gold points (points that can be added to your wallet once you reach 1250) for purchasing Auric Cells?
Or anyone else on ps5 who may know?
In the past you could. With the new update im not completely sure, but i think you do get them.
Update:
So i just tested it now and you do not get the points. In the past you could but Sony updated the terms on how you can get points. Now you cannot get points from subscriptions or from bying in game currencies.
Update 2:
Ok so i just checked and apparrently you do get the points. For some reason they came late to me and i didnt get a notification for it. So yes, you do get coins from bying auric cells.

Yea i dont know what has changed but ot feels different to me too. So either we are both crazy or theres some small change that wasnt mentioned anywhere.

Dark theory could just be a new perk why would it replace the boon?
Cursed passage might be my favofite out of these since it would help getting out of basement. It could be problematic since you can easily escape chase with a locker but the idea is fun and it can be balanced to work.
Ws and dying energy would probably be a bit too good for swf. Imagine a team with a constant 6% haste or all gens losing 22 charges. If those were removed/nerfed they could be interesting.
I personally want to see more invocation, boons and teamwork perks since they have a fun idea but theyre just too weak. I think they should make a strong looking perk and change it from there according to feedback instead of just giving up on them.

They go back to the campfire to be sent to another trial later.

What do you mean sounds like an airport?
The consoles fan is going to be very loud while playing. It almost sounds like someone is vacuuming next to you...
-
I think flashlights should stay the same. If they really bother you just use lightborn, shadowborn or even hex: two can play if you want to blind survivors back.
-
Small correction: im not actually sure who made the quiz but i just heard it from a Otzdarva video.

If you want a killer with decent-ish perks, stradegy and a hard power maybe try Singularity. They are a very high skill floor though, so if youre not ready you shouldnt get them yet, but once you get the hang of it they feel extremely satisfying to play as.
Other one with pretty good and fun perks that require some planning and has a pretty high skill floor is Plaque. Shes not that hard if you know what youre doing but it still takes some skill to master vomiting.
Lastly you may like Blight. He has some good perks and he is quite hard to play well as against good survivors. There is also some stragedy on where and where to use your ability.
If youre still feeling unsure as to what killer you should get Otzdarva has a quick quiz on his website that you can do that tells you what killers you most likely like. Also if none of the killers i recommended sound appealing to you, then go with what you feel is the best for you since you know yourself the best. Hope i could help a little bit and have fun with the killer that you bought.

What killers do you not have, what is your preferred playstyle and do you care about perks?

I just recently got skull merchant so i dont have much experience playing as or against her. But there are some things that i have seen work against me as merchant.
- Disable the drones when you can. The merchant gets speed boost from claw trapped survivors so you should disable the drones so you or your teammates dont get claw trapped.
- You can avoid the drone by not beign in the sight line. You can be in the drones radius and behind a wall and the drone doesnt scan you (unless it sees a part of your body)
- You can avoid the drone scan by watching the lights on the drone. There are two lights on the skull of the drone that do the skanning so dont go infront of them. Also note that the white light wont scan you while the yellow/orange one will.
- You can avoid the drone scan by crouching.
- If you hear the merchants terror radius dissapear when not in chase, it probably means she put down a drone. When placing a drone the skull merchant gains undetectable for a few seconds, so treat her like stealth killer and be on guard in inclosed spaces.
- If you have a claw trap or have been recently skanned the skull mercahnt knows where you are. The merchant can check her radar where she sees the location of all claw trapped survivors and survivors who were scanned in the past 12 seconds.
- If you get claw trapped the killer gets killer instinct on you. The claw trap also last for 45 seconds and can only be removed after the time has passed or by going down.
- Try to leave the loop if she puts down a drone there. This is important especially when in a loop with low walls, since if you get claw trapped you lose a health state and she gets a haste.
These are all the tips that i can think of currently. Please note that i am not a professional player but these are just things that i have seen counter me when i have been playing merchant.

What about instead of punishing bad behaviour we reward good behaviour. There already is a way to report someone for being a good player so why not add some rewards and insentives to make people want to be less toxic. For example if you report someone for being good you get a few thousand bloodpoints, (not too much so people wont always just spam it). And if you recieve enough of these good reports you get some shards.
This could atleast make people not want to make toxic comments or do bad stuff so people report them for being good.
-
It isnt always nececarily used to be toxic. With your example it could have the survivor could have done it to distract you and help the other survivor escape. I am not saying it isnt always toxic but it can still be used in ways that arent toxic. The spamming to reveal a fellow survivor is a #### move though.
-
A no sbmm mode could actually make people want to run meta builds even more, since you dont know if youre going to go against a beginner or a pro. A comp could probably work with taking the meta builds away from the normal mode if it rewards good play. There will still be meta builds in the normal mode though since some people enjoy playing that way. Just removing sbmm from one mode and making a comp mode would be a bad idea since youll either go into a match where everyone sweats constantly or a mode where the difficulty of your match is completely random.
-
I just treat the bot like a normal player unless i have a choice to chase a real player or a bot, where i'll chase the bot.
-
If there was a mode without sbmm then beginners would be getting destroyed and experienced players would have barely any challenge. There should be atleast something that prevents people of vastly different skill from going against one another.
A competitive mode along the normal mode could maybe work if enough people will play it. It would still probably not stop sweating in the normal mode completely.

Looks like the mori was changed about half a year ago. No idea why it was changed though.

I personally would like to see Darkwood getting a chapter. The killer could be someone like wolfman and the survivor could be the stranger (the pc). I think that the stranger would be an interesting survivor, considering how he looks less like a survivor and more like a killer. The map could be the forest of darkwood. I am though pretty sure that they wont make a chapter of this game considering the lack of popularity but it would be cool to get some skins though.
-
Ok yea it seems it shows the bloodweb level. I have no idea why they would show that in the shop though…
-
It doesnt seem to be prestige since it shows that The pig is level 33 for me but shes only prestige 3. I also have multiple survivors that are over prestige 1.
-
I can still play other multiplayer games without problem so why is this only affeckting dbd?
-
No, i have only been playing on the ps5 and with the ps5 edition of the game.
-
Yea i have hit survivors on gens and it count it -_-.
