Skull merchant counterplay?

It's been a while since I've played dbd (took a hiatus since alien) so I'm not too familiar with the changes regarding skull merchant, and every game I've played has been a total loss, granted I play solo queue so I'm not sure if my teams just unanimously give up against SM or not, but it sorta feels powerless so I'd like to get some sort of info on how to play against her.

She's the only killer I don't own so I'm not sure about her inner machinations so I figured I'd just ask people who've played against more SMs than me, so what exactly can I do against her? Is there any Achilles heel to this killer I'm just not seeing due to rust and inexperience? I'm not expecting to be able to stomp her next time I come across but I'd like to at least have some bullet points to understand how I can expect her or learn how to play around her power in a chase or if I should be doing something when I don't see her

    I just recently got skull merchant so i dont have much experience playing as or against her. But there are some things that i have seen work against me as merchant.

    1. Disable the drones when you can. The merchant gets speed boost from claw trapped survivors so you should disable the drones so you or your teammates dont get claw trapped.
    2. You can avoid the drone by not beign in the sight line. You can be in the drones radius and behind a wall and the drone doesnt scan you (unless it sees a part of your body)
    3. You can avoid the drone scan by watching the lights on the drone. There are two lights on the skull of the drone that do the skanning so dont go infront of them. Also note that the white light wont scan you while the yellow/orange one will.
    4. You can avoid the drone scan by crouching.
    5. If you hear the merchants terror radius dissapear when not in chase, it probably means she put down a drone. When placing a drone the skull merchant gains undetectable for a few seconds, so treat her like stealth killer and be on guard in inclosed spaces.
    6. If you have a claw trap or have been recently skanned the skull mercahnt knows where you are. The merchant can check her radar where she sees the location of all claw trapped survivors and survivors who were scanned in the past 12 seconds.
    7. If you get claw trapped the killer gets killer instinct on you. The claw trap also last for 45 seconds and can only be removed after the time has passed or by going down.
    8. Try to leave the loop if she puts down a drone there. This is important especially when in a loop with low walls, since if you get claw trapped you lose a health state and she gets a haste.

    These are all the tips that i can think of currently. Please note that i am not a professional player but these are just things that i have seen counter me when i have been playing merchant.
