  • Does anyone have footage of this happening with actual survivor unhooks? Seems like a kobe thing, and they did speed up kobe's so it's probably an issue with timing on that

    More or less.

No one is saying that about this, stop trying to blame survivors for bugs in the game.

This is a bug, stop making posts about it in General discussion and start actually reporting it every time it happens, this is unintended behaviour.

This "bug" is only in the game, because survivor complained about an issue they actually made up.
For some strange reason, they think they should be invulnerable before they "gain control over their avatar again". Like they get a magical forcefield protecting them mid air. And survivor complaint about these being unfair for so long, that the Devs caved in again.
And guess what, it causes some survivor favoring bugs.
And you wonder that killer player get mad about it?
Not only was the original idea already crap and is again forcing killer to adept and gives survivor just another extra chance on top of all their already existing extra chances and it also created a survivor favoring bug… yay!

    Pretty good job so far.

Except, not a single person was asking for this, it came out of nowhere, it wasn’t discussed.
stop blaming survivors for bugs, the devs said how it worked, this is clearly not how they meant it.

you have some serious survivor hate issues.

Two of the worst maps in the game have been made smaller in the next patch, they've changed several loops, they're definitely working on maps.

    Smaller, just what i wanted...

Grim Pantry & Pale Rose were a nightmare for killers, it made trap based killers pointless as there was so much room to avoid there stuff, and slow killers took a while to cross the map.

You want maps reworked, THAT is a map rework.

Not to mention they've just redone a bunch of maps main buildings to make them so survivors can't loop them for long, another rework that has seemingly passed through one ear and out the other.

They tried both a slowed AND a stopped progression on past PTB's.

Survivors abused the mechanic and they removed it.

As bad as camping can be, there is no game mechanic that can prevent camping. It's unfortunately a part of the game, whether people like it or not.

Honestly, they just didn’t explore that mechanic enough. Could e also been negated by SURVIVORS camping, or progression begins again if chase starts next to the hook. They didn’t really try to make a good fix

Yea, people say they abused it - but it was tested and it simply wasn't good for the game, they found the fault with it and it wasn't put in.

If 4 survivors join immediatly without a slight joining delay the chance is like 99% they are SWF.

Simply not true, move on from this argument it means nothing.

So having 2300 hours makes you a good player?

You mentioned "experience" I simply stated how much time I have in the game, didn't say I was good at all but if it makes you feel better, we can pretend I said I was good.

I actually played against you like 4-5 times.
I completely dominated you every time, so don't come with time makes you a viable player.
In fact you weren't even a good player (~2-3 months ago) when I versed you.
You tryharded and relied on your perks more than everyone I have ever seen, so don't throw the "you play for fun"-argument at me.

I'm just going to ignore this section because without proof this means absolutely nothing. Considering I let my chat chose which perks I use and which survivors I play as I'd say that stands as a pretty good defense that I don't rely on anything, lmfao.
I use what is given to me, I don't try hard I just play, but yea dude, lets go with you totally dominated me and that I rely on my perks, LOL.

I have like 1100 hours on my main account and I can say, I am a decent killer/survivor.

Calls me out and says that me merely stating my hours means that I'm saying I'm good, you literally state your hours and claim you're decent, what a hypocrite.

I know the flaws of the game and the inbalancements btw. survivors and killers.

Yet all you do is cry cry cry about how hard killer is, when in actuality, it's very easy.

I don't want survivors to be nerfed entirely, I just want a fair ground to play on.

Sure buddy, you want that ez pz 4K.

Your arguments regarding respect are pathetic tbh.

What, because I think tbagging is actually hilarious whether I'm the "victim" or not. It's a couple of pixels man, there's actual things in the world to be upset about but you're going to come onto a game that clearly triggers you and endure it more.

Why should I accept being bullied in a [BAD WORD] online game?

Yep, 4 strangers going into a match and tapping CTRL a few times is bullying, LOL.
I guess getting shot in COD is bullying then or something idk.

Games are meant to bring fun, not for being insulted.

Hide chat, report, move along - just like every other video game on the internet, except it seems people actually get really upsetti spaghetti on DBD and make a huge deal out of it.

Why should it be fun to be dominated as killer player without any counter play?

I mean, if you're bad you'll absolutely get dominated, it's fine though, with some practice you'll make it through.

If you think, that's fun, you must be pretty messed up.

Except I don't get "dominated" I play for fun and mess around and hit rank one every season and keep coming back because I have fun.

AND why should I t-bag and disrespect someone who is about to kill me and has mystical murder powers?

because it's a video game and none of it is real, oooooohhhh spoooookyyyyyyyy.

OH yes, because I am in a super ultra safe position to do so, because YES, killers are totally underpowered and not capable of actually killing the way they should.

AKA - I think I should 4K every game and killers should be that powerful AKA killer 4K entitlement

Why does critizicing make me childish?
Oh yeah, because your arguments are nonsense like people already pointed out.

Sorry that I find the game easier than you, you can continue to complain on the forums that's fine, but lets not like some people compare tbagging to spitting in people faces and act as if the devs aren't trying to make the game better for both sides, lol.

    Perks:
I don't wanna argue about perks.
We all know you're talking nonsense.
Survivor perks are not equal to the strength of killer perks!!! That settles it...

"I don't want to argue about perks, but they are way strong for survivor the end"
    ok buddy.

For your last argument, why survivors can be better than killers:
I just said, you can't compare these two, because you literally can't.
    Two entirely different play styles.

Listen, you are a clearly a entitled survivor main not respecting anybody and abusing your overpowered perks given you by the entity which apparently wants killers to be tortured and not survivors.

Yea dude, rank one both sides survivor main btw.

I am gonna sleep now, having nightmares about your terrible arguments.
You can add me on steam, if you really wanna discuss this out. I am always open for discussion I only can win.

I really wouldn't want you on my friendlist thank you, I only add people that don't constantly whine about the game while still playing it for hours on end and buying DLC.

If the game is so bad, why are you still playing it, why are you still buying stuff for it, if it's AS BAD as people keep making it out to be just leave..

  • @mcNuggets said:

As a experinced player you should know that.

How exactly are survivors better than you?

Lol, killer bias here we go.
Yea dude, survivors couldn't possibly be better than you, you're a killer! They're clearly just cheating and exploiting to get to the exit gate.

All they do is running in circles, using unfiar perks and exploiting map design.

Yawn, stop complaining about what perks people use, they can use whatever the hell they want.

I am playing survivor myself and it's the baby mode of the game.

    Good for you!

There is no challenge after unlocking the meta perks.

Again, complaining about which perks people use, just play the game, get better, you'll find out in due course just how easy it is on both sides.

You can just rely on your perks the whole game and get away with it with not even respecting the killer.

This is a game where someone kills you, why would you respect it? Survivors and killers both see crap from each side, stop making such a big deal out of "respect". So childish, and once again, complaining about perks as if they're impossible to beat

Like if the killers had these opportunities, this would be a thread about survivors whining about killers with the same argument.

I play both, I don't whine about either side, maybe It's because I play the game for fun and see the funny side in flashlighting and tbagging.

Also you can tell if people play together.
Because they all join at the same time without a slight delay, usually freezing your computer for about 1-3 seconds.

Simply untrue, I've had "teams" of four join a match on me before and I've checked their profiles and none of them are friends, killers will look for any excuse to lobby dodge or complain about SWF, them joining all at once does not mean anything.

As a experinced player you should know that.

2300 hours of experience reporting for doody.

Make a video of you playing any killer (not billy or nurse) vs a good 4 swf on rank 1 with you being happy with the outcome please.

Unlike the rest of the people on this forum, I'm fully aware that when people load into the game they aren't SWF, there'd be no way to prove they are.

ALSO - people always have bad games, if the survivors are better than you then you get over and you get better, me wrecking some rank ones or being wrecked by rank ones proves absolutely nothing.

Yep, survivors having to heal longer on the floor allowing the killer to do more damage before they're within acceptable healing range, definitely nonsense... or does it find a flaw in your "SLUGGING IS GONE" narrative?

And again, sabo was pretty much dead, was only used for dailies, now you can play around it and have some fun with it. First PTB match I played everyone of their players was saboing to test it out, I'm pretty sure i 3Kd, do I come here crying about it? No, because I still enjoyed it.

And this is Ps4? cause 70% is a huge exaggeration there. Might believe that more on the xbox version.

these where the dev stats from a bit a go

This stat also includes 2SWF + 2 Randoms.
Which, if you're complaining about two survivor communicating with each other you'll just never be that good at the game if I'm honest.

I don't even look at SWF, I play against who ever joins the lobby. I have a fun time with pretty much every match and I don't have to come here begging for changes because I didn't get my 4K 30 matches in a row.

  • @Rebel_Raven said:
It's extremely common on my end when people manage to get in position to escape.

They stop, and wait. I get to the gate, and nothing. They just stand there just outside the exit perimeter.

I walk away. They wait. I'm not even a teleporting killer.

I really don't want to give them the satisfaction of being chased out when they know there's no threat to it. It feels more like trolling, and rubbing salt in the wounds.
They don't seem to want to just leave until they can get chased out.

So instead of just ending the game by following them out the gate, you take the stubborn stance and then blame the survivors? You're both to blame in this case and warrants to reason to complain if you're going to walk away from the gate when you could end it.

  • @yeet said:
a mere 30 seconds max overall isn't going to change anything, when you can still pop gens in under 3 minutes

yes yes, I get it. You want gens to take 20 minutes and killers to phase through walls so you can have an easy time.

  • @yeet said:
someone could absolutely perceive it that way, you are just being insensitive and self centered

If you perceive tbagging in a manor that is being physically beaten you should avoid the internet at all costs, to be honest.

Actually being spat at is something you can be arrested and charged for, and you're comparing it to tbagging in a game? God help this world if people are getting that upset over things so miniscule.

  • @yeet said:
slugging nerfed significantly, sabo buffed heavily
for what will probably amount to 30~ seconds more healing time a game, big woop

Again, killers only see what affects them.

It takes even longer to heal on the ground, thus at end game when slugging is in effect, that survivor has to last longer against the killer before their friend can be healed.

and sabo has been dead content for quite a while, why not buff it. It certainly isn't buffed "heavily" like you would imply.

and as for the 30 seconds extra heal time....

Killers Every Day - Games are too quick, they need to be slowed down.
Devs - We've made survivors heals a fair amount slower, even towards each other
Killers - Wow, more time spent healing, who cares?!

    My apologies.

Everyone that isn't upset by childish things like a few pixels bumping on the ground don't get bothered by it.

Like, how can you get offended over someones character booping up and down, antagonizing, sure - it works. I've had killers stand an inch from another survivor until I start T-Bagging and chase me the rest of the match.

how can you get insulted over someone spitting in your face? Insults and how people take them are subjective, pretty insensitive of you to call other people childish just for not having the same constitution as you.

I hate that "rule" that you have to hit survivors to get them to leave like that, and they will hold the game hostage until you do.
I doubt they'd even let you hit them, they probably just want you to watch them escape.

It's not necessarily a rule, but when some killers stand at the gate and stare at them and they don't leave just hold forward on your controller/keyboard

Except they'd rather stand there for 8 minutes then come and make a thread about how they were bullied at an exit gate, I've had it happen to me, I just move forward, they either leave or mess up horrible and end up on a hook.

  • @fcc2014 said:
Ok, now i understand you are trolling. Gotcha! The Hag, Trapper, Wraith all got nice buffs. Hooking speed and pick up animation no longer feels clunky or extended. The Spirit got 2 updates within weeks which were sorely needed. The Huntress was given a true hit box but since the mechanic is broke they quickly reversed it. They are adding 4s to the base of healing that can stack longer with several perks, but hey [BAD WORD] the killers right.

It's the same argument every time "They never do anything for killers".

Taking things out of context is really fun
"Hey, Mccote, I'm not having fun playing killer"
"Ok, so play the other side or something different"
What's the problem? If someone I know if having trouble playing CSGO, or they get a creative block, I tell them to do something different, it means absolutely nothing lmfao.

Also, as for never buffing a killer... good lord you clearly have never read a patch note in your life, or only focus on the things that work against you and ignore the rest.

The idea of a ranked and casual mode is a terrible idea. If you split the player base or even siphon some off say a quarter you will create longer lobby times. Nobody wants that. Longer wait times may even push more away from the game. Feels like a bad idea all around.

It's a 50/50 in my opinion because it can either make longer wait times or it can encourage more players that retired DBD to comeback to be more competitive. The players who just aren't competitive can just play the causal mode and play with their friends. It can go either way but I'm positive that this can make DBD appeasing to a larger audience which means $$$ to improve the game even more.

Nobody is coming back to play this "competitively" because it's a casual game anyway, almost everyone that plays that knows this.

the whole game is casual, it always will be, BNPS, Flashlights, NOED, Insta Hatchets, Moris have all proven this game is casual, I don't get why these guys think it'll ever be competitive, and if they do, they should go play in tournaments where they face SWF teams anyway, lol.

Literally, there was no reason to get all butthurt towards me so please, if you're gonna have a attitude, drop it, perhaps you didn't read the part in my OP saying "SALT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED". Additionally, this threads purpose it to NOT create arguments, we are legitimate discussing on how to improve the ranking system whether you believe me or not. Notice how I said "IMPROVE" in the previous sentence because the ranking system is not perfect, currently it isn't important achievement since obviously there is SOME flaws with it. Btw I don't have a enlarged ego, you should just stop assuming and stop trying to start things, thanks! :)

Butthurt? 2300 hours, Rank 1, I know how little rank actually matters, and how little there is in difference between rank 1 - 10.

Killers can choose to use what they want or play at whatever rank, and the same goes for survivors.
The game isn't competitive, and it never will be, isn't an issue, it's a casual game and it's fine that way.

I'll be honest, sometimes I feel completely boosted and other times, I feel entitled to being at rank 1. I usually reflect on myself:

Did I make any mistakes as a killer/survivor?
Yes I always make mistakes in every game, it's a human thing.
Was it my fault or was it something else?
    -25% Bad Console FPS
-25% Bad Game Mechanics (DS, faulty hit detection, faulty grab detection)
    -50% It is my fault
How can I prevent this from happening again?
Experimenting with other perks and add-ons. Trying a different play style! :)

Your opinion isn't valid to me, you don't meet my pointless requirements to even matter, move along.

Rank doesn't matter, the game isn't competitive, never will be regardless of what some people want to believe.
Your amount of hours don't particularly matter, I mean if you've played the game for 30 minutes then I'd trust you haven't really experienced everything and would instead of shunning you, encourage you to play more and see if there's something more for you there.

But these ridiculous "if you don't meet my stupid requirements" you don't matter posts are being perpetuated for no reason other than to create arguments, if you tell people their opinion doesn't matter then I'd have reason to believe you have an enlarged ego and probably inflate any achievement you do achieve and make it seem like it means more than it does e.g rank one in a noncompetitive game and claim it as being something difficult and worthy of bragging about.

It doesn't double the heal time, it adds a -50% penalty when you use the perk. 50% of current base healing is 12 seconds. The upcoming healing changes will make this into 16 seconds.

    So 12 divided by half (6) + base healing stats (12) = Current Self-Care takes 18 seconds.

    16 divided by half (8) + base healing stats (16) = Upcoming Self-Care will take 24 seconds.

I have not tried it myself… and I go straight by the description of it, but if something works at 50% it will take double the time to do it.

That does quite change the healing time comparisons.
The time spend finding someone is unchanged though, while Self Care is always with you.

    Wrong.

If you're doing something that lasted 10 seconds, half the speed of that would be 5 seconds so if you do it half a speed slower (50%) it would be 15 seconds.

Therefore, if something takes 16 seconds, half the speed of that is 8 seconds, so doing something that takes 16 seconds at half speed = 16+8, and there you have it, 24 seconds per self care.

I don't think people realise the only reason -this- game works is because of third person view for the survivors.

It wouldn't be very fun for a survivor if they couldn't see where the killer is when they're running in between certain objects, it would make stealth incredible useless, as the only way you can convincingly hide from something is if you can see it.

I wouldn't mind if they tried it, but I really don't think it would make the game better and would in fact make it unfun for the other side.

I think it could work, just keep the 3rd person view just don't let them look behind them. If they tested it we could all see how it works and you could still stealth it's just that it would be a little more difficult. It could also upgrade the killers mindgame potential around pallets. It would need lots of testing before actually making it into the game though.

I just don't think it would work, honestly.

I think crouching would be okay a third person PoV! However whenever you're standing up, you're gonna be in first person PoV! :)

Sorry m8, when I tbag I don't want to be disorientated by the camera switching, lol.

Honestly though the whole points of ducking is to stealth etc, if you can't see what you're hiding from, less survivors will juke and just opt for always running, making juking harder will only make the "looping" issue worse.

I can count the amount of survivors that knew how to juke me on one hand...
Wouldn't really affect a big survivor population.

But, and I think you'll agree with me, so many killers complain that juking isn't done enough, if you make it even harder no one will do it, there's new survivors that will just think the best think is to run, so if they crouch they can't see anything so stop doing it entirely, imo.

I think they should just remove the timer if I'm honest, sometimes you just gotta slap that survivor and then kick a gen and sometimes you don't have enough time for both.

    @Wolf74 said:
Devs won't do that, because the perk is designed to move the killer away from the hooked victim to give free unhooks to survivor.

Problem with removing it is that you then remove the incentive to leave the Hook.
If you're on a timer, you gotta go away to apply that bonus regression.
If you're not, you can stay there and just apply it later.

This is true, maybe instead of it being on a timer, the amount of damage you do regresses, and then it wont go any lower than 10% damage, this means you can either go for a hit on a survivor or do more damage, and 10% isn't a lot if they killer lets it get down that far.

    SC=24 seconds

Healing others = 16 seconds x 2 = 32 seconds. Without considering the time it takes to find another survivor.

    Why SC=24 sec?

Right now you use the 12 seconds healing value for SC, but the (upcoming) 16 for the 2 heal each other.

    SC = 24(32)

    Healing each other = 12x2 (16x2) -> 24(32)

    ???
SC change will be 24 seconds. Both survivors can heal at the same time. So both take 24 seconds to heal.
Healing individually takes 16 seconds. They can't heal at the same time, so it totals at 32 seconds.

Why are we arguing if we get the same numbers?!

Tsulan, this is what I mean, he thinks self care and healing each other is the same speed so is arguing that self care is more beneficial because you don't have to find someone to help. v_v

But I think when he first mentioned two survivors if they start at the same time, yes they will technically finish healing at the same time, but together it still took them 48 seconds from not being on a generator. I don't know why he used that example so I just went with it.

Not once have I mentioned the number 12 in my comments?

Self care right now, as it stands is 18 seconds, to heal yourself, after the patch it will be 24 seconds to heal yourself, as base speed will be increased from 12 to 16.

@SenzuDuck said: TL;DR - you clearly don't know how selfcare works, sweetie. Seriously… I am done here. Wiki says healing one health state is 16 seconds (I think that's next update, but doesn't matter). So 2 injured survivor side by side using SC will take 32 seconds and both are fully healed at the same time. Or 2 injured survivor side by side, one is healing the other for 16 seconds to full health and they switch roles and the other one gets fully healed in 16 seconds. So they are both healed up after 32 seconds. Can please someone else take over here? This is like playing chess versus a pigeon.

Don't bother. I gave up arguing with him. This really leads nowhere. Hes literally arguing that self care heals the same speed as one survivor healing another. Just proves you don't read threads and just argues against me regardless of context. Simply no. You are wrong, people explained it to you, but you don't want to listen. Unequip SC, play solo queue and take the time it takes others to heal you from the moment the killer lost you, until you are healed. Including the time it takes to find another survivor.

It stands in no comparison to SC.

Self caring is still slower than healing from another player, don't bring other numbers and things into this when he specifically states that the two survivors are self caring individually, next to each other, you don't get to make your own rules when you interject into a conversation.

    SC=24 seconds

Healing others = 16 seconds x 2 = 32 seconds. Without considering the time it takes to find another survivor.

And I'll say it again, he used TWO survivors Self Caring INDIVIDUALLY. 24 seconds is a lot of time not to be doing a generator, and again, if the killer LOST the chase, they'll never know whether it was another survivor or themselves healing, it shouldn't even cross their mind because they've already lost the chase.

But 32 (2×16) seconds are still more time than 24 (sc) seconds.

    Well done, basic maths.

But HE used the two survivors healing next to each other at the same time as 16seconds each = to 32 seconds. I just used the same example with the correct numbers as self caring is slower it would actually be 24 seconds each which would actually be 48 seconds.

I'm not sure if you're understanding, this is his example, I'm using HIS example so HE understands what I mean.

Ahahaha, the 4xDS think always makes me howl.

lets not complain about something that’s probably happened in less than 5% of matches like it plagues the entire game.

and as for the “this is a troll thread” are the same people who jump in and boost threads like “SELFCARE Is OP”.

Why is it a troll thread if it goes against your opinion but is suddenly gospel when it shares the same opinion.

thankfully, threads like this show who are the biased people who only constantly call others “survivor mains” etc because of opinions.

Maybe it's because facing 2-4 DS is pretty common and Self Care actually is geamebreaking?

Well I don't find Self-Care to be an issue to be honest. DS needs gutted, but Self-Care is fine as it is imo.

Agreed, i think it's fair to say if a survivor is injured they've either outplayed the killer and deserves to be healed, if the killer has lost this chase it doesn't matter to the killer whether they are healed by themselves or another party, they'll never know.

Insta heals are the real "self care" problem imo, and they can kindly go to hell tbh.
