I think they should let her go, it doesnt make any difference to me to be honest
My SM games end with me dead anyway
You know, that minigame is too hard, I dont know how people can hit the right button that it shows on screen 😥
-
I think it should be the opposite
4 gens can spawn downstairs
Just never go upstairs

Eruption is as effective as any other aura perk against Distortion if its Solo. It only eats 2 stacks if the killer uses the combo Eruption + Lethal. But people with Distortion can easily counter eruption by letting go of the gen before the survivor go down.
Gearhead is an "okayish" perk but it don't have a clear warning when the aura reading is active. But really, i've been trying to counter Distortion with Gearhead + Lethal + Nowhere to Hide and Eruption while playing the Unknown and even then was nearly impossible to get rid of all of the Distortion tokens from a user. The tokens recharge too fast and while in chase, which means that even after a quick chase the Distortion user will have all of its tokens back.
Distortion is a problem not because it can block some aura reading, but because it can block a whole aura build with little counterplay from the killer side.
Eruption uses 2 tokens by default unless the survivor hides in a locker within 10 seconds, and then they are not working on a gen for that period of time
To let go of the gen means they need to know what's happening with the rest of the match, mostly SWF and aura reading should be the least of your concerning since they can communicate strategy with each other, such as hide in locker for BBQ or run away from the gen for Nowhere to Hide
I'm sorry but I don't believe anyone that says they use Gearhead and the survivors are still hidden. It feels like copiumDistortion is fine

Eruption eats up regression events on the gen + the aura reading only matters if the Killer slugs and doesn't hook
Gearhead isn't that good from an accessibility point of view.
They have their weaknesses
Regression events should be the least of your concerning if you are not going for the 3-gen strat. Its literally impossible to reach the limit of 8 playing normally, and if you do, either the survivors are throwing the game insisting on 1 gen or you are throwing the game by not patrolling the other ones.
Also Eruption is not only for aura reading, it regresses the gen by a lot
Gearhead is great for exactly what I said, eats up Distortion tokens
Or you could just never use aura reading perks and let Distortion players run the game with 3 perks -

You literally cannot run out of distortion tokens vs a standard terror radius killer no matter what perks they run. The tokens only come into play vs lower TR or stealth killers. It's a low effort high reward perk that nullifies an entire suite of killer perks.
Also eruption is a terrible perk and only uses one distortion token. I have no clue where this myth that anything eats two tokens comes from. There's nothing in the game that uses two tokens simultaneously.
Seems like a map problem
Eruption uses 2 Distortion tokens
-
@Ohyakno said:
How are you running out of distortion tokens? Vs any killer with a standard terror radius you simply cannot run out. I've only ever ran out vs a huntress with 4 aura perks.
Interesting how people don't like Distortion but they never run perks that actually eats up all Distortion tokens
Such as Gearhead and Eruption -

Distortion is a problem not by the effect it has, but how effective it can be and how it can last the entire match. It should counter one aura reading perk from a killer, but the way it works currently, it counters a whole aura build with little to no room for the killer to play around this perk.
Distortion is even problematic for Solo survivors as it encourages extreme stealthy gameplay and make other survivor who don't use Distortion more susceptible to be chased by the killer because he can find the survivor which is missing.
Well, the second sentence is true
Nerf aura reading to only show healthy survivors
-
Dont use Pain or Pop
Equip Knock Out and always slug

Then there is no reason to nerf any aura reading perk as long an ultimate counter perk exists.
Yes friend, thats my point
When I say aura reading should receive a basekit nerf I'm actually baiting people to agree that Distortion is fine
Many people want Distortion to be nerfed.
You might not be one of those people but they can read this conversation as well

Theres a perk for your issue too. Just use Distortion, if you don't want to be revealed.
I am so glad you tried to use this argument… Made my job way easier.Lol you got to my point
I will defend Distortion at all costs. It should never be nerfed

Sure, if injured survivor actually work slower on gens. They are injured, why should they be equally efficient?
50% should do the trick, that would motivate survivors to heal.
Funny to say "keep aura reading as it is, then nerf it into oblivion"
Theres a perk for that

Why even? So they can stay injured to avoid it?
Yes, also injured = 1 hit down
-
Just keep aura reading as it it
But rework to only show auras of healthy survivors
-
Because people's life depend on this kids game
-
I only escaped a game against Vecna once… because he let me go
-
I agree, killers should be able to see who is queuing up with who
However, if you dodge a lobby, you should get a 5 minute penalty
-
Wesker
I also like to use Distressing with my Bone Clapper+The Beast Soot build for Wraith
-
No
I still don't know how to run the map yet
-
Object of Obsession, Scene Partner, Kindred and Dark Sense/Troubleshooter/Alert
then you could bring a key with the amber add-on
Build to keep seeing the killer auras in chase as much as possible
I have been running this build for a while now and having fun -
So I missed that atrocious Kate head
Oh no
Anyway
-
Knock Out + Ultimate Weapon
Down a survivor and open the nearest locker. Go chase the nearest survivor who screamed
If nobody screamed, then everybody is so far that they will take some time to find the slugged survivor
Just keep doing this and I promise you, its gonna be way easier than hooking(Unless you are in a SWF but it would not be easy anyways if you were playing with hooks)
-
Wow, this is cool
-
I think every player should be able to DC when a single DC happens
Like for example, a survivor DC, then their teammates and the killer can DC as well without penalty and without losing items, add-ons and offerings
However shared BP offering is no longer used
I think it could be fair

AFK killers are getting a DC ban, so there is that.
But for me survivors giving up is worse.
Some AFK killers are already doing this
Removing hooks suicides and not removing DC ban will result in almost the same thing, people will pretend to play and throw the match, but in a way that its gonna be impossible to prove that they are "griefing" -
Remove self unhook to decrease the progress bar
but keep the 3 self unhook attempts for free
When 2nd hook, remove skill checks
Give a "die now" option at any time when theres 2 survivors left or when the gates are opened
-
yes
-
Nerf Distortion
But also nerf aura reading
Every single perk and add-on should only reveal auras of healthy survivors
-
This is the best and easiest way to play killer
Just equip Knock Out and Ultimate Weapon
Down a survivor and immediately open the nearest locker for the full effect
-
Lol this is a great idea to keep people away from playing survivor
good luck with a 10 minute minimum queue
-
Since I never hook, no

The question is; why are we making this the more effective way to play? 3 meta perks that all required the killer to hook are nerfed and toolboxes are buffed for sabo plays. Shouldn't hooking be the way to play killer?
I agree that hardcore slugging is already too strong. Anything that further incentivises it or even buffs it (like Knockout) should be looked at. But the devs have refused to do that for years, so maybe this needs to become a more prevalent issue.
If the game allows it we should do it
I will always defend that, including tunneling
The only way to force the devs to change it is by doing it every time -
Use Knock Out + some perks and add-ons that cause blindness and always slug
You dont need buffs to sabotaging to play like that
I promise you, its way easier than focusing on hooks
You may only lose if you are versing a really good 4 SWF team, but you would still have a hard time against them playing for hooks anyway
-
Lmao this game
-
I had a similar suggestion a while ago
@Rudjohns said:
Let's say someone bought a character with iridescent fragments (9000 when not on sale) and they bought the DLC with real money later, I think they should receive the fragments back, or maybe just half of the amount they paid. This would incentivize people to spend money on DLC instead of spending an in-game currency that pretty much doesn't do anything to the developers.
I unlocked Mikaela, Jonah, and Artist with fragments without realizing that by buying the DLC on Steam I would have received an extra cosmetic for each character. But now it's pointless to buy the DLC (even if it's on sale) just for a single piece of cosmetic, but if I have to receive my fragments back I would have done it with no problems.
I personally much rather spend iri fragments only on cosmetics now and real money with characters, whether they are original or licensed.
-
Eer… no
-
I stopped at 3
-
Sure, randomize items, add-ons and offerings
for the price of not spending what I already have
-
If it can't in the game forever, at least bring it back everytime there's a new event

What a weird comparison. It's an unserious game that isn't nearly as important as a sports match. Sports matches hold people's careers, DBD is literally just a video game that you can go next over if someone else does if it's genuinely made into an unwinnable match. You're free to dislike people who give up, but cut out the horrible comparisons that just make you look like you take this game far too seriously. 😂
Some people just have their lives depending on DBD
-
Tunneling will never be addressed
Its the only way to play killer
Hence the Decisive Strike nerf
-
Many perks have their icon appearing on the bottom right corner for other survivors, such as Kindred, Prove Thyself, Leader, Guardian, etc
If they are not gonna show teammates perks by any means, then they should start adding more perks to that list of "icons being shown to everybody"
Deliverance
Unbreakable
Plot Twist
Power Struggle
Kindred (only if the survivor on hook has Kindred, so if you have Kindred as well you know for sure your other teammates are seeing auras)Any many other perks
-
How often does that happen?
-
Boston Rob or Parvati Shallow

That's a weird mentality. If you want to "punish" tunneling, you need to make the killer regret it, not rewarding it.
I mean, i get it when it happens more often. But even a weak link can equip OTR or DS. Most of the time i'm not mad at the killer for tunneling, i'm mad at my mates not doing gens.
I want the kill rates to increase
-
Do you use high FOV? That could explain
-

Sure, those things should be bannable then.
If they can do it in CS, or LoL, or DotA, ban you for afking, or for "feeding" (throwing) then we can do it in DBD. You can fix the walking around nothing, by giving you crows (aka, afk) status, if you don't do something productive after a minute or 2.
sure
however slugging for 4k needs to be addressed then. Unbreakable basekit when 2 survivors are left in the game, among other balancing changes

So let me get this straight… you tunnel as killer because its the best thing to do even when you bemoan it as a tactic and then quit immediately if tunneled as survivor.
This is your form of "protest."
The concept of protest is to highlight and strive for active change which you are doing neither of here. So you are just quitting you aren't protesting. You haven't really exposed anything other than your inability to deal with tunneling and a quitter mentality.
Let's implement your "make tunneling impossible solution." What's to stop me just body blocking the killer with my permanent immunity for the rest of the game?
Your suggestion is more broken than even the most egregious of tunneling could be. Unfortunately making survivors immune to elimination really undermines the concept of the game and isn't a great solution to any scenario.
Yes

Equip Knock Out and always slug

@pseudechis said:

So if chased again off hook you just give up rather than try to escape from chase or sink time to allow for you team to get the objective done?
Here's a harsh pill to swallow but it needs to be said… Tunneling is not the problem, players like you are.
Additionally giving the killer the option to just open the gates and quit at any point is also a bad idea. The game would degenerate even more so into "its not going perfectly so I quit".
No, I'm just exposing how tunneling is a broken way to play the game that, if the player is at least decent at the game, theres nothing the other players can do, and I will proudly contribute to that until they do something to fix it
Thats my way to protest against tunneling
Also, adding to that:
@Rudjohns said:
All matches are 4k except for a few that were 3k because the last survivor escaped through the hatch. I don't slug for 4k.
I used to hate being tunneled and also tunneling people if I was the killer, but I just said f¨¨k it, let's do it. Why not?
What's the point of not tunneling if there is nothing in the game that prevents or punishes you for doing that? It's just the most efficient way to win.
I also stopped complaining about killers tunneling in my survivor games because, if that happens to me, I just die on second hook GGWP and move on. I have been playing only SWF too and the people playing with me kinda have the same mindset. I gave up solo queue completely since the release of the newest patch.
I still advocate for changes. I think tunneling should be impossible, and I have really hardcore ideas to change that, such as the unhooked survivor having endless invincibility until conspicuous action

Twins could have been getting a variation of the swamp map
